Dan Wheldon........Rest in Peace

Dan Wheldon, the 33 year old Indy Champion, was killed today in a race in Las Vegas. Wheldon leaves behind a young wife and two beautiful little boys......please keep them in prayer.  How awful

LAKERS WIN!......and an encounter that made me happy, too

I was out for dinner tonight and had to walk through the bar halfway through dinner to find someone (long story) and I stopped at the restaurant bar because I saw the Lakers game on and wanted to know the score.........there were a bunch of youngish people on barstools watching and when the camera panned on Mr and Mrs John McCain, they yelled "RACIST SENATOR...there's the racist senator!" I said "RACIST?" and they didn't even turn around they were so focused on the TV screen...standing behind these kids at the bar were a black man and an older white man next to him. I happened to have been standing next to the black man and I looked at him and said "hi..........how are the Lakers doing?"
The black man said "The Lakers are up 8 points!" I said "Great! And, you know, McCain is NOT racist."
He then smiles, and says "I KNOW." I grabbed his arm, said "God BLESS YOU!" with a big smile....he positively beamed at me and I told him goodnight and went back to my table.
GOD BLESS THAT GUY...."I know"... That felt SO GOOD! I wanted to HUG that guy!
AND THE LAKERS JUST WON!! (Lo Siento, Los Suns)
