Once upon a time, an old Chinese woman returned to her home from the market. Along the road, she spied a nearly frozen snake, and taking pity on the animal, she picked it up and took it home with her. She placed it by the fire to warm itself, gave it refreshment, and nursed it back to health. Then one day, the woman reached down to pick up the snake and it bit her. Shocked, the old woman said, “How dare you bite me! I saved your life. I brought you to my home. I nourished you.”
“Yes,” said the reptile, “But you knew I was a snake when you picked me up.” As with the snake, we do know what the Chinese are, and what they are likely to do in the future.
Still think they were idiots for believing communist lies.. and frankly, they deserve whatever they might or might not get. Hopefully, they will learn from their mistakes.
the whole idea of this makes me ill..truly..let the genocide games begin Z!
Face it, we trade with China because slavery is illegal in America.
Beamish is right.. we can't compete, and as long as we want our goods dirt cheap.. we will continue to trade with them.
Has Mr. Z read Spengler's Man and Technics, and if so, what does he think of Spengler's prediction vis a vis the Chinese?
FJ - Mr.Z has't, but thanks for the link, I will look at that: Spengler sure was right about the downfall of empires. I am making often reference to that because we are in the process of repeating history of the Roman empire - remember their downfall was well on the way when they used feathers to initiate throw-ups so they could eat more. That's exactly where we are in our overflow society and moral decay in the West.
