Source of the photo, z? The church looks Bavarian. I'm curious.

What a gorgeous picture. Is that Bavaria, Switzerland or Austria?

The photo's in La Provence, France....that's the lavender plant which grows so plentifully there...

Beautiful, isn't it? I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm hoping to put up a photo like this every Sunday.

Maybe you don't need a break from the uglies of politics, etc., but I do!! Enjoy!

Very fitting for a Sunday, this is a monastery with the name of "Abbey Sénanque" near Avignon, Provence.

What a beautiful photo.

I like the rest of the verse..."I will rejoice and be glad in it."

Being in our worship service this morning was balm for my soul. I was reminded of God's faithfulness and His strength when we are weary or discouraged.

Great photo! I'am one of the folks that is stuck with having to work on Sunday. Right now I should consider myself lucky to be working. A lot of my co-workers are being laid off one or two days a week. It could get me next week.

Incredible picture Z. Your right, as much as I love politics a break occasionally is good. I took a couple of days off this week. Just couldn't work up excitement. Came back and spit out a blog easily. It's good to stop and recharge.

Beverly, a 'balm', huh? Just goes to show anywhere can be GILEAD, right?!!

David...PLEASE let us know about your job situation. I'll say a prayer for you....all the best.

FJ...Edwards is just a more overt sinner!

Steve and Chuck...it's gorgeous, isn't it..and restful. We SO need a break.

I had made a pact with myself not to blog today...but I am a blogoholic! And, you know, it's so good to read all these comments. Thanks for coming by, everyone...it always feels good to know people want to read your words, isn't it? I sure do love reading your blogs.

Blessings to you all!!I am grabbing my swimsuit, my visor, a towel, and the latest Martha Grimes mystery I'm 1/2 way through and get out to the pool..another way to GET AWAY FROM POLITICS!!

Z,

I took a 4 mile hike today and felt great! Helped me clear my head a little!

Beautiful picture, love the colors.

Yes it's Sunday, but I know for those of you who are like me, every day is the Lord's day. Have a great one.

You can almost smell the lavender!

I say that Psalm verse quietly to myself every morning to start my day, hoping for a peaceful one.

I love the photo. Especially the lavender. My son will be attending a school in the Texas Hill Country - guess what is a new, huge booming business there now? Yep - lavender fields and products. Can't wait to have time to go over and explore more.

The only bad thing about Sunday is....Monday's creeping just around the bend.

Blazing in gold and quenching in purple,
Leaping like leopards to the sky,
Then at the feet of the old horizon
Laying her spotted face, to die;

Stooping as low as the kitchen window,
Touching the roof and tinting the barn,
Kissing her bonnet to the meadow–––
And the juggler of day is gone!
