Olympics Clothing............what do you think?

I like these very much.....except for the Ralph Lauren polo horse on all the shirts...why's that there?  Can't a designer leave his insignia off even this large and important to the country?
I rather like the suit below but don't much like the hat.....why do they need hats, anyway?  I know some Americans miss the cowboy hats, but the Olympics aren't a rodeo, after all!)
The most upsetting thing is that they're made in China.   We couldn't make them in America?  HERE is the excuse.

What do you think of the clothes and why do you think they had to go to China?   If it's cost, REALLY?  We couldn't do it here for the same amount of money?  Or maybe we could have popped for a bit more if it's more expensive here?  This isn't mass production!

Mrs Obama ....a CHOICE choice for the Kids Choice Awards

I don't get into this kind of catty stuff much at geeeZ but I publish this because it says so much for the dignity of the presidency these days.   To Michelle Obama's credit, she presented an award to Taylor Swift, who really deserves credit who raised almost $1 million for tornado/hurricane victims last year.  That's a nice thing for Mrs. Obama to have done.   One site mentioned this was her "first live appearance ever on the Nickelodeon's Kids Choice Awards (as if anybody's ever heard of it...'first ever'  WOW!! :-) , another site RAVED about Mrs. Obama's outfit but, in the text, mentioned that she is 48 years old....which made me wonder if they thought what most of us think when we see this get-up.
I miss dignity that has usually been represented by the White House.
Am I being too hard on her?

Mrs. Obama wears a backward sweater and OH, the media's all a flutter!

Mrs. Obama, the media darling, is praised for wearing the same sweater twice!  WOW!...and she's praised for wearing Jimmy Choo shoes 'into the ground' since Inauguration Day.   Look at THIS if you can.  They LOVE HER, don't you? :-)

Here is the first paragraph of the linked article: "The first lady — who is, at times, hailed as fashionista-in-chief — seems to have morphed into a recessionista in residence: Michelle Obama has been seen recycling her outfits. Now, this is change we can believe in."   Gosh, isn't that ADORABLE?  (heh)

Laura Bush was certainly no fashion plate, but she sure did wear those beige pant suits and red gowns over and over again.........did you hear any media gushing?   I didn't either. Gad, how many times did we have to see that beige suit? At least she looked dignified.

How soon will the signs come out in the streets? "GIVENCHY MUST DIE!"

So, the middle model here (Designer: Givenchy) struck me as 'interesting'.....let's cover the face, a la muslim women's wear....but let's put her in a camisole!? Is this designer going to become the new Geert Wilders? I hope not.
