A Paid Political Announcement

BY SEN. BARACK Hussein OBAMA (D- ILL)

My fellow Hyphenated-Americans:

As your future president I want to thank my supporters, for their ... well, their support.I do thank you for your mindless support of me, despite my nearly complete lack of legislative achievement, my pastor's cordial relations with Louis Farrakhan and Libyan dictator Mohmar Kadaffi, or my voting record as the most liberal congressman in either house, while I present myself as some sort of Bi-partisan Agent of Change and your new Messiah.I also appreciate my supporters claim that my youthful drug use and criminal behavior somehow qualifies me for the presidency after eight years of telling everyone within earshot that Bush's youthful drinking disqualified him. Your hypocrisy is a shining beacon of hope over a sea of political shameless posturing.I would like also to thank the Kennedys for coming out in support of me. There's a lot of glamour behind the Kennedy name, even though JFK started the Vietnam War, his brother Robert illegally wiretapped Martin Luther King Jr. and Teddy is a drunk who once killed a young woman with whom he was having an illicit affair ...... and I'm not going anywhere near the cousins either literally or figuratively.I want to thank Oprah Winfrey too for her unstinting support. Her love of vacuous, sweet-sounding platitudes will be the force that propels me to the White House.Americans should vote for me, not because of my lack of experience or achievement, but because I make people feel good. Voting for me causes some white folk to feel relieved of their imaginary racist guilt.I say things that sound earnest and meaningful, but don't really mean anything, because Americans are tired of things that have meaning. If things have meaning, then that means you have to think about them.Americans are tired of thinking. It's time to shut down the brain, and open up the heart. So when you go to vote in the primaries, remember don't think, just do.And do it for me .....

Thank you.

GET THIS!! Talk about a RECOMMENDATION!?

"Farrakhan praises Obama at Saviours' Day event in Chicago [Compares Obama to Mohammed]
WOOD TV ^ | AP

In his first major public address since recovering from complications due to cancer, Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan said Sunday that presidential candidate Barack Obama is the "hope of the entire world" that the U.S. will change for the better.

Farrakhan, addressing an estimated crowd of 20,000 people at the annual Saviours' Day celebration, never outrightly endorsed Obama but spent the majority of the nearly two-hour speech praising the Illinois senator.

"This young man is the hope of the entire world that America will change and be made better," he said. "This young man is capturing audiences of black and brown and red and yellow. If you look at Barack Obama's audiences and look at the effect of his words, those people are being transformed."

Farrakhan compared Obama to the religion's founder, Fard Muhammad, who also had a white mother and black father.

"A black man with a white mother became a savior to us," he told the crowd of mostly followers dressed in Nation of Islam attire including long white suits and matching head scarfs for women and navy-colored uniforms with caps for men. "A black man with a white mother could turn out to be one who can lift America from her fall."

Obama's campaign spokesman Bill Burton said, "Senator Obama has been clear in his objections to Minister Farrakhan's past pronouncements and has not solicited the minister's support."

This is from free republic...highlights from the complete article. Ya, I'll just BET Senator Obama was REAL clear did not solicit THIS minister's support....not when he's trying to convince Christian minister's he's their man, right!? You can't make this stuff UP!

So...you think the New York Times'll run this? (no) Imagine what they'd do if Farrakhan backed McCain? HAHAHAHHA!!!! FRONT PAGE TEN INCH HIGH HEADLINES? (yes!)

Hi All,

Perhaps the single accomplishment Mr. Obama can claim, is that he has been able to un-Clinton the Clintons! Who'da thunk it? Rolling around in the mud is their favorite pastime and this campaign has not allowed it.

Of course Hillary is a candidate who does not exhibit an ounce of dynamism which renders her as dull as watching paint dry.

In the past, the Clintons have relied on their surrogates to destroy their opponents with the help of investigators, and the press, who as we can see in the McCain story, engage in creative journalism.

I'm suffering from a dilemma which goes as follows: In my zeal for a Republican victory in November, I'v decided Hillary may be easier to beat.
My problem is, I so want to see the Clintons suffer from the same demonization they've visited on everyone who stood in their path, and their machine smashed to smithereens!

On the other hand, Obama scares me. He's the most left-wing Senator in the Senate. His loyalty to America does not seem to supercede his loyalty to Africa given the church he attends, which is a mirror into his core beliefs.

A black candidate does not upset me. However he would have to be a President for the American people as a whole. In short, a conservative.

A woman candidate, as well, must not be a candidate who heralds women's issues to the exclusion of the welfare of America. In short, she too would have to be a conservative.

So, there it is in a nutshell. Can McCain beat Obama? Only if he can nail down Obama's lack of accomplishment and overcome the "style over substance" that Obama has used to his advantage.

Can McCain beat Hillary? I think so. She's not interesting or compelling, and I think universal healthcare, or "Hillarycare", for one thing, is still not a winner with the American people.
Both are willing to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory in Iraq.

The biggest question is, can McCain overcome the press?

OK folks what say you?

PS. Z, this article is great satire. Very entertaining, sprinkled with sarcasm and truths. Love it.

Pris, of course you know I did NOT WRITE THAT...wish I had!! COULD have, probably..we all could have!

I'm afraid I'm with Coulter now...I've turned into a BIG HILLARY FAN. VOTE FOR HILLARY IN THE PRIMARIES!!!

She will LOST the nationals....we cannot win against Obama. We simply don't have a CHANCE.

and, if they run together? Say "byby" to America.

Z,
I don't agree that McCain can't beat Obama. Remember, the crazies who love him are the base of the Democrat Party.

I never concede a game. Never! C'mon Z, we need cheerleaders no naysayers, please!! It's February for crying out loud, anything can happen between now and November.

Take heart, conservatives will come together, especially when they realize how far-left Obama really is.
For that matter, Hillary is so disliked, if she did get the nomination, conservatives will come around against her as well.

Democrats aren't monolithic either. There are blue-dog Democrats, blue-collar Democrats, and Independents.

Even the idiot Ralph Nader is going to run, although he won't garner the number of votes he did last time.

So, hang in there, it's going to be a bumpy ride, but, it's not over 'til it's over. Now, get out your pom poms, there's alot of work to do!

well, McCain's saying it himself today (which I think is a BIG error); The big issue is the war.

what...you think maybe 28% of Americans still see the benefits of going into Iraq and staying there? On the high side? If that's the case, he's not going to convince them. Bush hasn't been able to for five years.

But,look..I SURE do hope I AM WRONG!!!

Z, the national polls show McCain leading Hillary and Obama. I know that's a snapshot, but the point is, the electorate knows McCain's position on the war today.

Yet, he's leading by a slim margin, but leading just the same. Is the public against the war, or against the way we've fought it?

Or do they understand we have to be seen as successful in Iraq, not as defeated?

Also, are the American people against the war on terror in general? I don't think so.

It all depends on the questions asked. If the question is: do you want our troops to be able to come home? Of course the answer is yes.

If the question is: do you want our troops to come home even if it means defeat? I think you'd get a different answer.

They never call and ask me.

Pris..yesterday's polls said McCain had about 8 points above HIllary and Obama had 8 points above McCain. Thing is,we've got NINE MONTHS of this, right!? ANd, Nanc's information she linked says Romney's son says his father might enter the race again.

oy. what a world.

But, Pris...if a poll you saw said McCain was even neck and neck nationally with Obama, that's a good thing. And it COULD be repeated in November...

i, officially, have NO candidate - see you at the election booths.

We can always wonder if...maybe B.Hussein or B.O. for short...will go the way of JFK, RFK and MLK? And give Oliver Stone and Kevin Costner a career boost?
