BOND with Rev Jesse Lee Peterson! It could change America

I met and got to speak with Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson yesterday. Some of you will recognize that name from FOX, MSNBC, etc. Jesse Lee is on a crusade to get young Black men to stop hating and start loving God, themselves, and being a proud American. And it's working.
I was humbled just to shake this man's hand, believe me. He emanates an enormous amount of goodness and honesty and love. And great thinking.
"Most Blacks are racist", he told the group whose function I'd been invited to. That got our attention!
Jesse Lee has found that most young Black men are racist because they're living the hate they learned towards Whites and the 'system' at home. He felt that way, too, though he himself hadn't grown up in a home of racists; he learned it on the streets of LA, from others, when he moved here at 18 to start a new life. It was when he found himself down and out and blaming White racism for it that he thought "Wait, if I'm down because of Whites, why is Jesse Jackson not poor and dependent and down like me?" He now tells an audience that it's the Jesse Jacksons and Sharptons and Rangels who are keeping Blacks down and that Black pastors like the Rev. Jeremiah Wright are profiting on keeping Black America dependent on them....and the government.

Jesse Lee believes "you can't believe in God and hate your fellow man." In his newest book SCAM, he shows "How the Black leadership exploits Black America". He told us that "Whites are controlled by those who call Whites racists". He cautioned the largely White audience that we must stop being afraid of being called racist for simply suggesting that Rev Peterson's right in suggesting Black men can do better, that affirmative action is wrong, that it's terrible that 80% of Indiana's Black babies are born out of wedlock (70% is the national average..Jesse Lee wants to know "where is the outrage?"!), that Jesse Jackson lied when he said MLK, Jr. died in his arms, and that everyone should judge a man by the content of his character and not his color.....

By having founded BOND "Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny" (see the word link above and please watch the video and then read the information which follows to learn more), he has taken Black youth who hated and turned them into loving and productive men in America. One young man who came to him at 15 as "angry and messed up" has become a Princeton graduate studying law now at Stanford! Another who was in that same sad shape is now building custom homes in the highly desirable San Francisco suburb of Marin County!
Jesse Lee says stopping the hate is the most important thing. He encourages youth to marry before having children, and no sex till marriage.
You might ask why we don't hear more from Rev Jesse Lee Peterson and others like him. He told us the media simply will not show up for press conferences of Black conservatives trying to give their message. When your message is about Black anger that's been handed down to our Black kids today, and how, as Jesse Lee says "Black preachers want the anger and hate in their congregation..you can't control a people of high character" and then you ask yourself why Jesse Jackson, Rangel, Sharpton and their ilk WANT to keep their own DOWN and needy, what Jesse Lee realized also becomes your realization... People who are needy must go to the government for help, to these 'leaders' for help. Socialism 101, that class our media likes so much.
Look for Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson and pay attention to his message. His books, BOND, all of these things he does are going toward making all of America better. He sure made all of us at that luncheon better for just having heard his message. I didn't begin to do him justice here, check him out.

Z,
I see him on Fox News from time to time. I always appreciate the platform they give to him when he debates a liberal black pundit.

Hi, Karen, thanks for being here!
yes, he is quite a guy. And you are so right, SOME of the media does get his message and want it promoted. Where would we be without FOX? The idea that liberals think CNN and MSNBC aren't biased shows just how much we do need it, even if we don't always agree with everything on it (like Shep Smith..ptui!)

God's speed Reverend Peterson.

It is with great hope that I wish you well in this endeavor. Your positive message is sorely needed in every community.

The family is the foundation of our nation, and is desperately in need of leaders like you. May your message drown out the Jeremiah Wrights of our country! Keep up the good work.

To Z, Great article.

The mainstream media won't showcase Rev. Peterson because he represents everything they hate. Peterson's spirituality and courage make him unsuitable as an authority, and Democrats don't tolerate black men who "don't know their place." He's certainly not as "authentically black" as Barack, Jeremiah, or Michelle "I Ain't Proud" Obama. Then again, what would I know. I'm just a typical white man...

i've seen him a number of times on fox news programs and he is a much needed breath of fresh air in this day and age - people like peterson are one of the few reasons people will be colorblind.

I've been having an off-blog email chat with a friend of some years at FPM. He's a Black Conservative and wrote this about Jesse Lee: "I don't JLP b/c his public appearances come across as the perfect attack for the black left: he's an unwavering, flag-waving black conservative who's very inarticulate; very consistently down on black people; and virtually never ever down on white people unless they're liberals; just too damn predictable. He's an embarrassment to me as black man, and it takes a LOT for me to say that about ANY black right-winger!"

Here is a conservative, atheist Black man who feels this way about another conservative Black man and admittedly uncomfortable about it.

I found it fascinating that he could see Jesse Lee SO differently than we do, and that it's important that we hear how a decent, conservative guy views someone we admire. sad, too. I suspect Jesse would not be the least surprised. Sorrowed, yes, but not surprised.

I've never seen this fellow on FNC. But, then again, I don't stay glued to the news all day long--for my sanity's sake.

I'll check him out.

He sounds like a sane, real man!

I'm sure the Kos'ers will be calling him an "Uncle Tom" without delay.
