Thoroughly enjoyable! Now if only the RNC had the mother wit to run THIS as an ad––––and plenty more like it––––our side would be much farther ahead in the polls.

The only proper way to treat a force like H. Rodham Clinton is as a joke.

I would emend just one of these very funny lines to read "dropping steaming piles of wisdom over you and over me."

GREAT WORK! Love it.

Argh... the Beatles. Four men who should have never formed a band.

I drive my "Beatlemaniac" fiancee insane with this, but I absolutely love John Lennon's, Paul McCartney's, George Harrison's, and Ringo Starr's solo career and post-Beatle works.

I just think that everything they ever did together kinda sucks.

I mean c'mon. They were the Backstreet Boys of the 1960s.

LOL! That was fantastic!

Beamish, I'm not as down on the Beatles as you are but I wasn't a huge fan, even back then. Now I see a lot of merit in some of their ballads.
The only after-Beatles thing I love is the BANGLADESH album by Harrison and friends.
I was invited to a wedding Harrison attended (I didn't think he'd come and blew it off that morning....rude, but that's what happened). It was Gary WRight (Dream Weaver)'s wedding...I'd worked a little with his fiancee. Anyway; I got my comeuppance; he did come. Forty people at the wedding, I didn't show, and I could have met and chatted with George Harrison. I wasn't happy. Everybody ought to meet at least one Beatle!

FT; you really think the RNC could run that ad on TV? I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Too funny Z,
I'm not so sure the RNC should run it. Too many out there would think the message is just fine.

All we need is to hear this for months on end. Why, Hillary's name would be on everyone's lips. Put to song. Like, "I Am Woman". Help!

LOL.

I suspect this entertainer will not be asked to perform at the DNC National Convention this year.

Too funny, Z.

Hillary is no joke. She's a real life person whom I respect.

About writing (song and otherwise), my opiniom is that a writer always reveals the truth that lies beyond the facts. Truth that is in the place that brings understanding to any situation beyond the everyday comfort zone.

I personally find in any situation that includes real people, some of whom are always themselves and some who are not, the real task of any writer is to help the reader/listener know what it feels like to be someone else. To feel what they feel.

Any writer that can help this happen is truly in charge. Not by sticking to the facts or the party line, but by sculpting reality.

To lots of people, Hillary is contemptible and worthy of teasing, like in this song, Anonymous. I think it's a relief for those of us who don't admire her that, finally, someone's smearing the left as the right's always been cleverly smeared in the past. Very refreshing..equal opportunity insulting in politics. WHO KNEW?
