Sunday Faith Blog

I can't post much anymore until my new computer;   all sorts of problems here with composing a new post...so since it's Sunday, I'll just leave you with this:   PLEASE PRAY FOR AMERICA and all those who'll be in massive layoffs soon....and for Hurricane Sandy victims who seem metaphorical for the ruination Obama will have foisted upon us soon.  Please pray.Z

Everyday!

Actually, the folks in Staten Island will recover from Sandy before America recovers from Obama. Bloomberg is an actual leader and gets results in spite of stupid ideas
about beverage size. Unfortunately he is leaving and we will be stuck with
the invisible woman Christine Quinn.

I am praying. It will get worse before it gets better.

I was with the family at a spaghetti dinner at the church last night, and a buddy of mine told me he's laid off starting January.

I posted something faith and politically relevant for Sunday.
It's on forgiveness.
As for Sandy, it's hard to believe that God's hand was not in that.
If it helped re-elect Obama, well Israel is going to be surrounded at Armaggedon and that almost requires America not support her. How close are we?
When America wants abortion and perversion more than God, He'll withdraw his blessings.

To our Veterans,
I say thank you with all my heart.

God bless you for your courage and your sacrifice.

Z - I hope you get your new computer up and running soon.

My prayers have been for those on the east coast without power. I can't even imagine...

I hope you have a good Sunday - Z.

Sue, I hate that CNN's not covering much of that awful situation...I keep checking. Have you seen much?
FOX is doing an excellent job interviewing people, asking what's going on with them. It's absolutely awful and here we are typing and living in our warm homes with food downstairs and the phones working, etc.
It's HORRIBLE that everybody's not had help of SOME kind.
Did you happen to see video of a white truck with a window in which the driver had made a makeshift sign that said I DON'T KNOW and Scotch taped it to the glass so people'd stop asking him? But, how can they not ask??

PC OR MAC?

I just picked up the hard drive that my computer fixer used to get whatever he could save out of my "Mad" mother board, as he called it. Is that a computer term "mad?"
I thought it was FRIED mother board!

Anyway, as I was leaving, I said "Benny, tell me....I'm getting a new computer and want to ask an expert...PC OR MAC?"

he said "you doing video editing?" I said NO, he said "PC".

I found that fascinating since SO many are loving their MACs...I wish I'd had time to really talk to him about WHY...

interesting, huh? PC, "Not MAC"

Pray is about all we can do now. I expect we will have another non-Conservative candidate pushed on us for 2016.

God is still in control. I'm glad he is, because I have problems seeing how Obama as President for another 4 years can be anything but disaster.

Z - I think you are right about CNN not having more coverage.

I feel awful - like you - that those people are suffering and we are in our nice warm homes.

We talked with my brother-in-law today from N.J. and they finally got power after six hard days.

I'm afraid that America has no idea what is awaiting them come January 1st of 2013.

Four more years.

P.S.
If you've been using Windows and then migrate to the Mac world because it's supposed to be so much more intuitive, I submit: no. It's not more intuitive. I have both.

Mac's will run Windows.
Windows is trying to emulate Mac.
Windows machines cost less.
Linux is free. You don't want to go there.

My prayers are profoundly confused and lost. I pray to be able to pray in the right direction.
I truly fear for the future of my child.

Ed, all I wanted to relate is what this guy who works on Macs and PCs all day for a living...I was really interested because he was so adamant.

Divine Theatre...I worry for the children, too. They'll never know the America we grew up in where we were encouraged to do our best and success was applauded...where we made our own choices and never expected to be paying for illegals taking advantage of us, etc etc...we could make a list a mile long, I guesss...
to say nothing of the immorality liberal Americans have hoisted on our country thru liberal screenplays, etc...so sad.

Z...you know how I feel PC vs Mac....use what you're used to a comfortable with.

This is all I'll say ( and no offense to someone who said "you doing video editing"? )...I have a 2005 Mac Tower...runs 24/7. Never broke down...never refused to boot. I've replaced one hard drive in it. ( They don't last forever )....Never had a virus or a Trojan.

2 Mac Book Pros....one a 15" the other a 17". Never broke down or refused to boot. Replaced hard drives in each of them...cause I wanted a larger hardrives.

An Intel Mac will accommodate Microsoft Office which I feel is much better than Macs equivalent software. Microsoft is the industry standard with Word, Excel and power Point. You can run Windows on a Mac either Parallel or via a reboot into Windows via Boot Camp.

Macs are pricier....but last longer and IMO are better made. That's all I have to say. And they do have superior graphics and color rendering.

I've had plenty of Windows machines and in my wife's office....I'm constantly fixing them.

You could get the lowest of the lowest Mac and it'll work years. It's more expensive but it last longer from my experience and it's much easier to use.

Benny is a bit old school I must say.

Mrs FrogBurger has had a Macbook for 5-6 years now (900 bucks) and for what she's doing with it, it's not moving and could run 5-6 more years now. So at the end the cost of the PC is not really relevant.

well, I think a guy who does nothing but fixes both is up on all your points and still holds that opinion; it surprised me, I must say!
