Signed, Sealed, Delivered"
Like a fool I went and stayed too long
Now I'm wondering if your love's still strong
Oo, baby, here I am, signed, sealed, delivered, I'm yours!
Then that time I went and said goodbye
Now I'm back and not ashamed to cry
Oo, baby, here I am, signed, sealed, delivered, I'm yours!
Here I am baby
Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm yours
(You got my future in your hands)
Here I am baby
Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm yours
(You got my future in your hands)
I've done a lot of foolish things
That I really didn't mean, didn't I?
Seen a lot of things in this old world
When I touch them, they mean nothing, girl
Oo, baby, here I am, signed, sealed, delivered, I'm yours!
Oowee baby, you set my soul on fire
That's why I know you're my heart's only desire
Here I am baby
Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm yours
(You got my future in your hands)
Here I am baby
Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm yours
(You got my future in your hands)
Now I'm wondering if your love's still strong
Oo, baby, here I am, signed, sealed, delivered, I'm yours!
Then that time I went and said goodbye

Oo, baby, here I am, signed, sealed, delivered, I'm yours!

Now YOU know all the words. Is he kidding? Or is this sung to Putin of Russia, or Chavez of Venezuela, or to China? WE are "Signed, sealed and delivered," folks................in their hands.
But, putting that aside, can you IMAGINE a more egomaniacal lyric to have played for your victory song? Oh, baby..."you set my soul on fire"....does he mean WE set HIS soul on fire or does he think HE sets OUR souls on fire? I could hurl, I swear.
WHAT SONG WOULD YOU PICK FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY SONG? OO, baby...we at geeeZ can't wait to hear!

Z,
I, too, noticed the choice of music for Obama's victory strut.
At least, Clinton used, "Can't Stop Thinkin' about Tomorrow"!
Ah, well, America has devolved -- and will continue to devolve, IMO.
Next Tuesday, I'll have a post with a question in it. The question is, in my view, the most important question that the opposition to the Obama regime should be asking. Instead, the conservative emails I've seen are asking other questions and making statements of bravado. I'm disgusted in the extreme.
BTW, this is "America" right now -- NOT America. Not any more and for the foreseeable future.
Good song though ,isn't it! Not as bad a lyric fail as Microsoft's launch of windows 95, which was to the tune of the Stones' "Start me up", which featured the repeated lyric "You make a grown man cry"...
Sorry. I can't play this game.
Big Empty, by Stone Temple Pilots
Darth,that's a good one.
aOW..... bravado?
jez, obama made ME cry election night. And I hear I'm not alone in that.
Ed...really not a game.

"A Hard Rain's a-Gonna Fall"

...."I've been ten thousand miles in the mouth of a graveyardAnd it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hardIt's a hard rain a-gonna fall"........
Z,
I used the word bravado, which well describes Don Quixote tilting at windmills and trying to battle tame lions (instead of doing true knightly deeds of valor).
I don't pretend to know what the resistance (including the GOP) should do -- or even CAN do. But I get the sickening feeling that the resistance has not identified HOW Obama won re-election. Is "returning to conservative principles" going to do a bit of good until people suffer enough without those principles in play?
What are people really interested in?
What do they see Obama offering that Romney did not?
Certain ideas?
Certain amenities that, yes, make life very enjoyable but are not fulfilling except as instant gratification?
I'm still trying to figure out what the causes are that can be remedied?
Obama won a decisive victory. Exactly how he did so is critically important.
The song was appropriate for a would-be king who referenced "I," "me," "my," and "mine," dozens of times in his victory speech.
"Like a fool I went and stayed too long."
Now there's an appropriate line.
Jonberg FTW.
The End Of The World by R.E.M.
I do like this song too though
French song from Jean Louis Aubert "Voila c'est fini."
On a side topic: Ron Paul's take on the fiscal cliff. Like him or not, I do believe he's right. This problem cannot be solved.
"Don't Worry. Be Happy!
Z - Blowin' in the Wind would be my choice.
This song is what "the messiah" SHOULD have used. I won't give you the name, BUT, you HAVE to use the link because if you don't you'll miss the most appropriate song he EVER could have found.

Trust me, you will agree and love it!

DAMN, libturdboyy forced this on us? Damn!!
Mais le problème pour nous, c'est que Obama n'est pas fini ... pour le moment.
Who Dat is?
Sue, I think "Blowin' in the Wind" is BRILLIANT!!

A further thought, from a different perspective:

I like parodies. Here's the title of an oldie made to fit the needs of the moment:

PS: Comment moderation is very inhibiting. Why not just ERADICATE unwelcme posts after they appear? Jus a thought?
Joe,
Of course a song with so much first person is Obama's theme song! That's how he lives his life -- steeped in narcissism.
FT...I am on moderation for a few days because I am trying to spare my readers from the garbage we'd have had the last few days.
I'm willing to bet that it's the latter, Z...

And I say for that, we are truly grateful! :)
What difference does it make.
Mark Steyn - Americans as a whole have joined the rest of the Western world in voting themselves a lifestyle they are not willing to earn.
Him and his band of cretins celebrating is like setting fire to your family home and then dancing around outside it in happiness.
HERE is what is actually being delivered as a result of Obama's re-election: Layoffs!
FT, considering how lucky I am with quite a few wonderful readers, I'm blessed to only have one serious troll...ugly, nasty, unthinking.... and I figured Obama's reelection was a good time to block it.!! Kind of a celebration!! And, I don't even have to read them this way................I just DELETE.
Yes, I'd love to block certain commenters but Blogger doesn't have that worked out. I believe others like WordPress do but I'm not eager to change.
And, of course, I'd never block for disagreement, just utter ridiculous nastiness and stupidity...
I just read a few of the last comments and can't help mentioning something most people have already noticed: I've got positively THE BEST READERS/COMMENTERS IN THE BLOGOSPHERE...
with working full time, I've certainly not had the pleasure of visiting my friends' blogs as much as I did in the past, and they're here commenting anyway; I am truly touched and humbled by this and thank ALL of you.
I will be by to catch up and enjoy your blogs this weekend...and an extra day off Monday, too!
HURRAH!! xxx
The Candy Man would be a great theme song for Santa Baracklaus.
Of course, I keep singing, "Ill be glad when you're dead, you rascal you," quietly to myself, of course.
Ella Fitzgerald has a great rendition of that, I believe.
~ FT
PS: I have a question: Why are so many people saying something is a "FAIL," instead of FAILURE?
Fail is a verb. Failure is the noun that accompanies that verb.
When someone fails, he experiences failure. He doesn't experience "a fail."
We've GOT to stop this bleeding of our linguistic integrity, or we'll soon find ourselves reduced to primitive sign language accompanied by grunts and groans. - FT

To me, he is talking to all his handlers. He is letting them know that he will do whatever they say. He has been delivered by the American voters to his handlers on a silver platter, and that means, that he will be doing their bidding, not that of the voters. They can forget it!! The lyrics are very telling, and in keeping with the cult personality, has people rocking to the beat, but not listening to the meet of these words. This song is about someone who had done his "baby" wrong? Was any of that in the campaign of BHO? No, he is telling his handlers, I may have been a little slow in getting things going, but I got it now, and here I come. Time will only tell.
Peace, NB
