Is Our Government Trustworthy?

We have to begin this conversation with the revelation of inappropriate close coordination between Democratic politicians, executive branch appointees, and leftist activists. Recently discovered are emails obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request submitted to the Environmental Protective Agency by the Energy and Environment Legal Institute. As a result, we learn that there has been an ongoing, behind the scenes, campaign by the Obama Administration to stop construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline. 

The emails seem to demonstrate that senior policy officials at the EPA are working closely with leftist environmental groups in an effort to implement a progressive agenda that does not benefit the American people.  

If we attempt to respond to the title of this post's question based solely upon what we know about these behind-the-scenes arrangements, then our answer is likely to be negative: our government is not trustworthy. It is a logical inference, but who knows if there is not far more to the story than simply a conspiracy to defeat the Keystone XL Pipeline. What we mean to say is that there is always the possibility that the Obama Administration (EPA) is merely seeking independent advice from the Sierra Club, Environmental Defense Fund, Natural Resources Defense Council, and the National Wildlife Fund.  Or, that pigs can fly.  

On the other hand, perhaps we should wonder why our federal government is behaving subjectively rather than objectively in the interest of all Americans and every group, whether left or right. It is enough to lead a reasonable citizen to conclude that our federal government is dishonest and corrupt.  It makes us wonder why we even have an EPA if we cannot trust its motives or have confidence in its objectivity. Possibly, the basis of our concern should not be this singular question of Obama’s corruption, noting that we already offered alternative possibilities, but rather the weight or frequency of indices of corruption.  Not long ago, a former high-ranking official within the EPA told members of Congress that before he left the agency, he was working on a project examining ways to modify the DNA of our capitalist system.  (Link)

You may think that I am complaining, but I am really laying the ground work for suggesting that MAYBE we should hire the guys who run Wal-Mart to fix the economy.

 It is now official that the majority of you are corrupt and ineffective:

a.. The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775. You have had 237 years to get it right and it

is broke.

b. Social Security was established in 1935.  You have had 77 years to get it right and it is broke.

c. Fannie Mae was established in 1938.  You have had 74 years to get it right and it is broke.  

d.. War on Poverty started in 1964.  You have had 48 years to get it right;  $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to "the poor" and they only want more.

e. Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965.  You have had 47 years to get it right and they are

broke.

f. Freddie Mac was established in 1970. You have had 42 years to get it right and it is broke.

g. The Department of Energy was created in1977 to lessen our dependence on foreign oil.  It has ballooned to 16,000employees with a budget of $24 billion a year and we import more oil than ever

before.  You had 35 years to get it right and it is an abysmal failure.

 

You have FAILED in every "government service" you have shoved down our throats while overspending our tax dollars.

 AND YOU WANT AMERICANS TO BELIEVE YOU CAN BE TRUSTED WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM? (largely managed by the IRS??~)

 Folks, keep this circulating.  It is very well stated.  Maybe it will end up in the e-mails of some of our "duly elected'(they never read anything) officials and their staff will clue them in on how Americans feel. 

AND...We have lost our minds to  "Political Correctness"! We're "broke" & can't help our own Seniors, Veterans, Orphans, Homeless etc., but,  in the last months we have provided aid to Haiti, and Turkey .and Pakistan ........previous home of Bin Laden. Literally, BILLIONS of DOLLARS, while our retired seniors living on a 'fixed income' receive no extra aid nor do they get any special breaks--nada beyond shopping discounts.

AND Congress wants to freeze Social Security payments. You do know that Congress voted  themselves a pay raise for 2013?  Google this--it's true!   (end)

Z:  Let me just add that Detroit's had Democrat mayors since 1962, and every channel I've listened to since the bankruptcy says "Detroit started running a large debt sixty years ago.."   Coincidence?  All this 'give away' stuff for votes that the Left started sixty years ago has never worked...we just didn't know that yet.

Leftwing bad-wishers...why?

This video's nasty and quick;  I hope you watch it.  It's yet another leftwing nut saying he hopes the Lieutenant Governor who kept her job in the Recall nonsense in Wisconsin gets colon cancer and dies before he can do what he'd like to her, which is get her "the F out of the state".

I think every group has a nut here and there, but I guess that's the difference between a conservative like me and a leftwinger;   when a supposed Tea Party attendee held up ONE SIGN that was questionable in its content, we got comments here and in the media about how that person "represents them all."   Then when the OWS people started defecating and having sex in public, etc., the leftwing said "that's not the real group, that's just a couple of nuts" 
See, I think a couple of nuts can give a bad rap to a whole group;  but I see them as nuts, not the whole group.  For example, I know not all Democrats in Wisconsin want Kleefisch dead!  
I wonder if I'd be accorded the same decency and generosity  if the tables were turned and a Republican had said what the guy says in this video.  I think not.  The leftwingers are even Twittering DEATH THREATS to Walker now!  Do they think that's the American way?   I still mourn the fact that so many leftwingers rejoiced at Tony Snow's painful and untimely death and the Conservatives I know had blogs saying they disagreed with Ted Kennedy but wished his family the best.


There's a kind of mindset I think we need to fix in half of America........it's unkind, unhealthy, and a terrible example for our children.  But how?

Report: Former Obama Campaign Staffer Arrested for Identity Theft in Alleged Scam to Frame Iowa’s Republican Secretary Of State

From the Iowa Republican:Barack Obama’s 2008 Iowa New Media Director was arrested Friday for attempting to use the identities of Secretary of State Matt Schultz [a Republican], and/or his brother Thomas, with the intent to falsely implicate the Secretary Schultz in illegal or unethical behavior. Zach Edwards, 29, of Des Moines, currently works for Link Strategies, a Democrat-affiliated organization with ties to Iowa Senator Tom Harkin. Edwards is the Director of New Media for Link Strategies.

The Secretary of State’s office discovered the alleged crime and reported it to authorities. Edwards turned himself in to the Iowa DCI agents Friday afternoon. He was charged with identity theft, a misdemeanor, and booked into the Polk County jail. Edwards posted $2,000 bail and was released later on Friday. He faces up to two years in prison.

The report goes on to explain that the Democratic party in Iowa has targeted Secretary Schultz since his election in November, attempting to portray him as unethical. Z:  The only thing that surprises me is the tie to Tom Harkin...I think he's a stand up guy though I don't agree with him on much.   I guess it's "let the fun begin...no, continue".......isn't it amazing that the Democrats are being nailed? Stealing identity is pretty low behavior in any situation, but stealing identity to make things up about unethical behavior stinks BIG TIME.  Let's see how far this story goes........if the networks'll cover it, CNN, etc.   Keep your eyes peeled.

Democrats......just because they accuse, does it make sense?

You and I keep hearing from the Leftwing politicians, media, and the president and his people, that .....


1.  "The Republican candidates are caving to the TEA PARTY"  (as if they're succumbing to cholera)

       Has any of them considered that the candidates aren't 'caving in' but might just share the opinions of the Tea Party and other Americans who don't believe raising the debt ceiling and raising taxes are the best solution for the economic problems we're facing?

2.  "The Republicans caused the Standards and Poor rating loss because they held up the talks."

       Really?  So, the Republicans should have given in on things they really didn't believe in just to hurry along what they felt were really bad compromises for this country? 

Do you see the spin?....as if what they say is the truth because they said it, spun it?  They know the public hears them as the media has repeated the claims ad nauseum;    just sayin'...........

An interesting fact is that, in Australia, Peter Costello (of the Liberal Party, not to be mistaken with the actually liberal LABOR PARTY), under Conservative (Liberal Party) PM John Howard, did the really hard work and turned their country around after having been downgraded by S&P.  It took 17 years of swimming upstream to get their rating back, going against the leftwing media (according to him) and some Australians asking "what's the big deal about the ratings?" !
They have finally achieved a surplus, and now are doing very well. Wouldn't it be good to hear a conversation on television, with both sides of our political aisle, about how Australia handled their situation?   Costello is considering running for Prime Minister in a few years.   Maybe we can get him here? :-)

Al Gore says to Olbermann that "this country is in TROUBLE" because of the Right and their values and platforms...and "We need an American Spring" What do you think he means, exactly? (and Gore says we're in danger of losing our Democracy? Does he know what it is?)

And then John Kerry says the Tea Party shouldn't get equal media time (as if it does?) Isn't that "Shutting Americans UP?"


I have a feeling Americans are starting to 'get it'...that the left SHUTTING PEOPLE UP isn't very American...SO, the Left now insults, blames, name-calls, demeans.......isn't that SHUTTING PEOPLE UP? Ya...I think so, too.

Progress or Brick WALLS?..with two updates you'll want to see (sort of!)

Can real progress be made in this country on any subject?   How does one forward a conversation into an area of possible progress if, when a Conservative says "But, I don't agree with Al Gore on Climate Change" he's accused of being anti-clean air or water!?  How do we discuss health care and come up with viable when the Left says "Conservatives don't care about the elderly or the sick and simply have no plan!"    How do we talk about helping the poor when the Left says "We will pay for everything you need and the Right won't, so vote for us!"?  Or how about when the Left suggests that, because all of the Right does not support abortion and doesn't want to pay for abortions out of tax dollars, they don't support women? How nuts a conclusion is that?  And then, of course, the lie is that anyone against gay marriage hates all gays.

I don't know a Conservative who hates gays, hates clean water and air, hates and won't help the poor, hates women or wants the elderly ignored.....  I mean, how much sense does any of THAT make?   But, suddenly, when the implications of these things are constantly echoed in the mainstream media or in universities, we have millions of Americans who buy into that and vote thanks to insult, not education.

This leaves NO ROOM FOR BENEFICIAL CONVERSATION AND PROBLEM FIXING.  This just creates a big BRICK WALL.  Do you see that?   This is the perfect storm for liberals;   nobody has to think, nobody has to venture any solutions..."the Right is hateful, and that's that.........what can you expect?"

To have real solutions in America, misrepresenting, mocking and maliciousness by the media and the Democrat machine doesn't help.  Sure, Conservatives try to get their licks in at the Democrats, too, but there's something so insidious and wrong about the conclusions the Left falsely draws in, for example, those points in my first paragraph are something beyond normal Left/Right criticism that's expected in everyday politics. We need to break through that............or we'll continue to be in big trouble.  UPDATE:  Mustang has THIS VIDEO you might want to check out;  it exposes things any media would have CREAMED any Republican for, but NOT their OBAMA!  ANOTHER UPDATE from Born Again American...Check THIS VIDEO out!  AMAZING.  The bias and obfuscation and playing up to the Left by our media reaches levels of almost shock, even FOR ME!

But, what do we do?  Apparently, votes are more important than integrity and even more important than America..

McCain/Palin film ....A Liberal BLAST!

Oh, please, God, if I die and come back as an actress, let me play Jane Fonda or Hillary Clinton in a serious film about them!  I want to have a blast with nuance that shows what I think about them. I want to make Democrats look as bad as the Dems are going to make McCain and Palin look in the new film GAME CHANGE, okay???

It's just not FAIR that liberal Julianne Moore gets to play Sarah Palin and very liberal Ed Harris gets to play John McCain, it'll just be too much fun for them.   They must have jumped at the chance to slam Republicans because, after all, what else could the film be about, there was very little interesting about their side of the  '08 campaign!

Talking about 2008's election, God, do you have the inside scoop of who's going to portray Hillary or Gloria Allred or any of the people threatening voters outside the Houston precincts in '08 when Hillary gets furious that Obama's people were telling people they had to vote for him or leave and they did?, and when Allred blew the whistle about that but suddenly dummied up when Conservatives learned about it?.......From what I hear about Hillary, playing her REALLY MAD might be quite an experience!  OH, but I forgot, I doubt seriously that anything about that cheating by Obama supporters against Hillary will appear on film.   What was I thinking, God?

So, that's my prayer.....  And, by the way, I'm just kidding about wanting to come back OR play liberals......just trying to make a point here.   If I ever came back as Hillary or Allred or Fonda even in a role, just shoot me, God. :-)

Democrats DO think we're DUMBED DOWN.......

Michael Moore says the Democrats should run Oprah Winfrey and Tom Hanks for President and VP.   This is the mindset of the Far Left.............STAR power.......and, you know, these people could win, they really could.  In the linked article, he compares Oprah Winfrey's running as a star to Ronald Reagan's running as a star.   Yes, he does :-)
With the lack of knowledge we see in too many Americans, with a mindset of adults thinking it's okay to indoctrinate kids through singing the praise songs to Obama we've all heard, and the way our media writes celebrity headlines while really troubling problems are happening in America, many would vote for Oprah/Hanks, you know that.
There is no respect for dignity, integrity, intelligence, experience.......the fact that Michael Moore could even seriously promote this idea says so much about the far Left which are such fans of his.

I had an 'email threesome' the other day, with a friend and her friend who I don't know. I wrote "Ugh, what happened to us?" and the friend of the friend wrote the email below, in italics, which I thought I'd share with you because I think it's the way a LOT of Americans are thinking these days and it's encouraging!


Take heart. "Ugh- What happened to us?"... OBAMA HAPPENED.

We were protected. For 7 years G.W. Bush did his job and the left wingers and right wingers became complacent. The "do for me" lefties were in jeopardy of losing their benefits if the republicans got back into office, so they found a puppet like Obama "the great Community Organizer". And started using catch phases like"We need change; The war is not necessary, bring our troops home, etc... They preyed on the young and ignorant, the majority of Obama's Acorn, Union voting block. The Republican Party Blew it... I recall them actually making fun of his "Community Organizing" skills as if wasn't something to be leery of.

Though Bush did an outstanding job in protecting us against terrorism, he sorely lacked in so many other departments. So, people like you and me got fed up with the party. Some arrogantly thought "let's send our party a message by not voting. I personally, reluctantly, voted for McCain. It was that small percentage of "non-voters" that gave Obama the presidency.

I believe we have an excellent opportunity to not only change our party but to continue to send a message. NO MORE POLITICS AS USUAL. I do not plan on voting for one incumbent come this election. I also plan on watching - very closely, the candidates' voting records I do vote for. TAKE HEART... THESE CAREER POLITICIANS ARE BUT ONLY ONE VOTE AWAY FROM THE PRIVATE SECTOR AND ONE VOTE FROM STRUGGLING AS SO MANY AMERICANS ARE

My husband and I are job creators. We are paying a huge price for what is happening in our economy. We, in our 50's, are starting over. But we are not giving up or in. We're entrepreneus...we've become chameleons and we're banking on what this country was founded on. It's the essence of America. And let me tell you there are plenty of us out there. Save Democrat support, risk our troops?

Remember that Bob Woodward has written a book about Obama and war and he talked about how Obama said he's making decisions about the war based on his political party and how he "can't lose the whole Democratic Party?"  What ever happened with that story?   Do you see how the media shut it down by not playing it for more than the probably five minutes FOX spent on it?  Maybe some TalkRadio told the truth, too, but I didn't hear it on any radio I listen to.  Here's part of THIS STORY from US News and World Report:

And although the president agreed to triple troop levels in the embattled country, some in Obama's national security team doubt that his strategy in Afghanistan will even be successful, according to a new book by journalist Bob Woodward.

The book, Obama's Wars, details how the Obama Administration was -- and is -- extremely divided over strategy in Afghanistan. According to the book, the president said "I have two years with the public on this" and asked his advisers how to avoid a big escalation in the nine-year, U.S.-led Afghanistan war, The Associated Press reported.
Obama also told advisers "I want an exit strategy" and privately told Vice President Joe Biden to push his plan against the sending of additional troops.
While the president ultimately rejected that plan and decided to send in an additional 30,000 troops (the military wanted 40,000) the book says Obama was at odds several aides and set a withdrawal timeframe because "I can't lose the whole Democratic Party."

I would have thought  Americans would be up at arms at a president making decisions involving the lives of our troops based on HIS PARTY and HIS CAREER............yet, who ever discussed this, who ever brought this into the mainstream media?

Nobody, that's who.  Do you think it should have been?
