Republican governors and unemployment...which msm will cover THIS truth?

In 2010, influenced by the Tea Party and its focus on fiscal issues, 17 states elected Republican governors. And, according to an Examiner.com analysis, every one of those states saw a drop in their unemployment rates since January of 2011. Furthermore, the average drop in the unemployment rate in these states was 1.35%, compared to the national decline of .9%, which means, according to the analysis, that the job market in these Republican states is improving 50% faster than the national rate. 

Since January of 2011, here is how much the unemployment rate declined in each of the 17 states that elected Republican governors in 2010, according to the Examiner: 

Kansas - 6.9% to 6.1% = a decline of 0.8%

Maine - 8.0% to 7.4% = a decline of 0.6%

Michigan - 10.9% to 8.5% = a decline of 2.4%

New Mexico - 7.7% to 6.7% = a decline of 1.0%

Oklahoma - 6.2% to 4.8% = a decline of 1.4%

Pennsylvania - 8.0% to 7.4% = a decline of 0.6%

Tennessee - 9.5% to 7.9% = a decline of 1.6%

Wisconsin - 7.7% to 6.8% = a decline of 0.9%

Wyoming - 6.3% to 5.2% = a decline of 1.1%

Alabama - 9.3% to 7.4% = a decline of 1.9%

Georgia - 10.1% to 8.9% = a decline of 1.2%

South Carolina - 10.6% to 9.1% = a decline of 1.5%

South Dakota - 5.0% to 4.3% = a decline of 0.7%

Florida - 10.9% to 8.6% = a decline of 2.3%

Nevada - 13.8% to 11.6% = a decline of 2.2%

Iowa - 6.1% to 5.1% = a decline of 1.0%

Ohio - 9.0% to 7.3% = a decline of 1.7%

On the other hand, the unemployment rate in states that elected Democrats in 2010 dropped, on average, as much as the national rate decline and, in some states such as New York, the unemployment rate has risen since January of 2011. 

This is yet another example of how the so-called “blue state” model is not working.  End of  article.

Leftwing bad-wishers...why?

This video's nasty and quick;  I hope you watch it.  It's yet another leftwing nut saying he hopes the Lieutenant Governor who kept her job in the Recall nonsense in Wisconsin gets colon cancer and dies before he can do what he'd like to her, which is get her "the F out of the state".

I think every group has a nut here and there, but I guess that's the difference between a conservative like me and a leftwinger;   when a supposed Tea Party attendee held up ONE SIGN that was questionable in its content, we got comments here and in the media about how that person "represents them all."   Then when the OWS people started defecating and having sex in public, etc., the leftwing said "that's not the real group, that's just a couple of nuts" 
See, I think a couple of nuts can give a bad rap to a whole group;  but I see them as nuts, not the whole group.  For example, I know not all Democrats in Wisconsin want Kleefisch dead!  
I wonder if I'd be accorded the same decency and generosity  if the tables were turned and a Republican had said what the guy says in this video.  I think not.  The leftwingers are even Twittering DEATH THREATS to Walker now!  Do they think that's the American way?   I still mourn the fact that so many leftwingers rejoiced at Tony Snow's painful and untimely death and the Conservatives I know had blogs saying they disagreed with Ted Kennedy but wished his family the best.


There's a kind of mindset I think we need to fix in half of America........it's unkind, unhealthy, and a terrible example for our children.  But how?

Democrats......just because they accuse, does it make sense?

You and I keep hearing from the Leftwing politicians, media, and the president and his people, that .....


1.  "The Republican candidates are caving to the TEA PARTY"  (as if they're succumbing to cholera)

       Has any of them considered that the candidates aren't 'caving in' but might just share the opinions of the Tea Party and other Americans who don't believe raising the debt ceiling and raising taxes are the best solution for the economic problems we're facing?

2.  "The Republicans caused the Standards and Poor rating loss because they held up the talks."

       Really?  So, the Republicans should have given in on things they really didn't believe in just to hurry along what they felt were really bad compromises for this country? 

Do you see the spin?....as if what they say is the truth because they said it, spun it?  They know the public hears them as the media has repeated the claims ad nauseum;    just sayin'...........

An interesting fact is that, in Australia, Peter Costello (of the Liberal Party, not to be mistaken with the actually liberal LABOR PARTY), under Conservative (Liberal Party) PM John Howard, did the really hard work and turned their country around after having been downgraded by S&P.  It took 17 years of swimming upstream to get their rating back, going against the leftwing media (according to him) and some Australians asking "what's the big deal about the ratings?" !
They have finally achieved a surplus, and now are doing very well. Wouldn't it be good to hear a conversation on television, with both sides of our political aisle, about how Australia handled their situation?   Costello is considering running for Prime Minister in a few years.   Maybe we can get him here? :-)

Debate Blues

I HESITATE (See video below) to say this, but does anybody else agree with me that one minute answers are utterly ridiculous?    I'd rather dedicate a few evenings to one-on-one question/answer with an interviewer and a candidate than watch this idiocy.  The candidates feel they have to get everything in about themselves before they answer because they have so little time..."I, who was the only governor who balanced the budget and doesn't believe in abortion, do think that we need to secure the border!"   What the heck is that?!
Also, has anybody seen CNN ask anything as brutal as FOX asked the Republicans tonight? 
Who do you think WON? 

Ya, the video's got little to do with my subject, but I've always loved the pickin' and singin' of Hot Tuna and when I thought of my BLUES watching that debate, it made me think of HESITATION BLUES.  I hope you took the time to wait for him to sing......it's a simple song, but I like it.

Tee for Two.......Obama and Biden are playing golf ...

....no, that's not the beginning of a joke!...........they're linking up to play golf Saturday.  HERE is the article on it and here are the parts I found interesting (in bold) and my comments:


WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Barack Obama and Republican leader John Boehner will hit the golf course on Saturday with many hoping that over 18 holes they can knock Washington's troubled debt limit talks out of the rough.
Obama and Boehner, Speaker of the House of Representatives, will play golf together for the first time and discuss how to reach a deal to raise the country's $14.3 trillion debt limit by August 2 to avoid the first default in U.S. history.

So........that could be interesting, huh?  It gives Boehner and Biden's handicaps in the article...check it out.  And, the article says "Traditionally, out of respect to the commander-in-chief and his guests, the scores in a presidential golf match are not publicly disclosed."  bummer!

Under the bonhomie that will be on show during the game, the stakes could not be higher. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has warned that failure to raise the borrowing cap by August 2 will trigger turmoil in the bond markets and economic "catastrophe."

Except some people don't think so....but they don't add the alternate viewpoint here, of course.

The White House says no debt deal will be struck during the golf outing, but the subject will be broached.

Well, there goes that sense of optimism.......why bother to suggest that no deal will be struck?  What's the point of that? 

Boehner told reporters on June 1 that the White House rarely telephones him, while administration officials privately gripe that Boehner has refused invitations to state dinners.

That was my favorite part of the article......Boehner would like the White House to call him to try to get business done (as Speaker of the House, you'd think they might?) but the White House is griping he won't have dinner with them?

Debate Musings........

I watched the debate tonight and did use Rich Galen's Debate Score Sheet.... it helped, in a way, to gather the thoughts.   Here's my take:  

First, CNN's John King became the Joy Behar of politics;  he was almost twitching to get them to be quiet and I was distracted by his constant "but...but............but...alright...but..." the second anybody went over a minute.  How can any substantive response happen in one minute?  It was like a Miss America contest.."What do you think the world needs!?"  they had about enough time for "World Peace!:-)"   The questions asked of presidential candidates deserve at least two minutes, don't you think?


CAIN:  As usual, he was pretty vague.  I'd like to hear a little more solutions and less his never-ending overview of "first we have to define the real problems".. SO, define them, already, we had little time for you to speak but we were listening.   (I also like thin crust pizza better :-)

BACHMANN:  As you must have heard, she announced she is running tonight.  She was calm, cool, confident, and knows her stuff.  She's also optimistic;  one of the most striking attributes of all the candidates tonight was optimism;  nice to hear, for a change.  I thought she scored big points tonight and that the audience liked her a lot.


ROMNEY: I thought he scored points pretty effectively when he responded about Obama basing his health care plan on Massachusetts ... Romney said "why didn't he ask me what Massachusetts did wrong?"  that hit the mark.  He got the fewest questions and seemed perturbed by that.


PAWLENTY:  Missed some really good opportunities in which to set him apart.  He wimped off the Obamney Health care thing, etc.  Not good.  But, I think he's very bright and very, very sincere and, sadly, that sincerity can sometimes come off as too eager, a little unconfident, and I don't think he's that.  I liked his Right To Work stance and how he explained it.... His cringe quotient is a tad too high still....but I liked him tonight. (I like Coke more than Pepsi, too!)


SANTORUM;  Confident, informed...great answer on illegals.  I'm first generation American, too, my mother is such a proud naturalized American citizen that I used to say that she made our house during the Bicentennial year make the White House look unpatriotic. I mean, she had Americana everywhere.  (even too much for ME ;-)  Santorum is well spoken and has good values and had some smart answers.

RAND:  Had a lot more fans than I'd have thought in the audience, especially regarding his foreign policy.  That surprised me.  I think a lot of Americans are just about done with the Afghanistan/Iran situation.   He said a very stupid thing, in my opinion, when he suggested marriage should be a church thing and not a government thing;  how the heck do you ignore the fact that so many legal situations arise from marriage; like ownership of real estate, taxes, inheritance.  I'm not a fan, but I didn't think he's utterly unthinking...and that seemed really dumb to me.


GINGRICH:  I thought he scored points on having questionable people in an administration at the White House.  I don't think he's very confident because he's constantly sneaking furtive looks at the audience; that surprises me.  He did well tonight, especially considering that he'd dug himself into quite a hole lately.  But, ...there's 'ick' factor there for me.   A high cringe quotient....trying to hard. THIS surprised me...Britain's TELEGRAPH calls the Palin email frenzy as  "enhancing her reputation" as “idealistic, conscientious, humorous, and humane,”   Interesting.   Score one for her.  Who knew?

Rich Galen just emailed his subscribers and disagrees with me on Bachmann;  hated her answers and thinks she ought to get her application for president back.  He thinks Romney won because he was softballed questions, etc.   He completely agrees with me on the John King style...and how they only had one minute for such heavy material.

Progress or Brick WALLS?..with two updates you'll want to see (sort of!)

Can real progress be made in this country on any subject?   How does one forward a conversation into an area of possible progress if, when a Conservative says "But, I don't agree with Al Gore on Climate Change" he's accused of being anti-clean air or water!?  How do we discuss health care and come up with viable when the Left says "Conservatives don't care about the elderly or the sick and simply have no plan!"    How do we talk about helping the poor when the Left says "We will pay for everything you need and the Right won't, so vote for us!"?  Or how about when the Left suggests that, because all of the Right does not support abortion and doesn't want to pay for abortions out of tax dollars, they don't support women? How nuts a conclusion is that?  And then, of course, the lie is that anyone against gay marriage hates all gays.

I don't know a Conservative who hates gays, hates clean water and air, hates and won't help the poor, hates women or wants the elderly ignored.....  I mean, how much sense does any of THAT make?   But, suddenly, when the implications of these things are constantly echoed in the mainstream media or in universities, we have millions of Americans who buy into that and vote thanks to insult, not education.

This leaves NO ROOM FOR BENEFICIAL CONVERSATION AND PROBLEM FIXING.  This just creates a big BRICK WALL.  Do you see that?   This is the perfect storm for liberals;   nobody has to think, nobody has to venture any solutions..."the Right is hateful, and that's that.........what can you expect?"

To have real solutions in America, misrepresenting, mocking and maliciousness by the media and the Democrat machine doesn't help.  Sure, Conservatives try to get their licks in at the Democrats, too, but there's something so insidious and wrong about the conclusions the Left falsely draws in, for example, those points in my first paragraph are something beyond normal Left/Right criticism that's expected in everyday politics. We need to break through that............or we'll continue to be in big trouble.  UPDATE:  Mustang has THIS VIDEO you might want to check out;  it exposes things any media would have CREAMED any Republican for, but NOT their OBAMA!  ANOTHER UPDATE from Born Again American...Check THIS VIDEO out!  AMAZING.  The bias and obfuscation and playing up to the Left by our media reaches levels of almost shock, even FOR ME!

But, what do we do?  Apparently, votes are more important than integrity and even more important than America..

To our fellow Americans,
We on the right remind you to vote on November 2 and please vote only once and only if you're legal, because we have rules in this country and getting back to those rules just might help.  Also, if you see fraud, please let someone know.
We speak to you today, however, to emphasize something we feel will convince you to vote for your Republican candidate:  We want to take Congress over and SLOW DOWN.
We want to make sure all of your representatives have read the bills.
We want to make sure we go slow enough to be sure what's in the bills will be helpful, not a hindrance, to our economy.  We will actually welcome all insight into the planning.
We want to review the Constitution and make sure people on both sides of the aisle are more familiar with it than what has been shown these last almost two years.
We would like to make sure that Democrats AND Republicans can weigh in on what's happening in Washington.
We really will stop earmarks.
We really will explain to you what's happening, not just promise that.
And we will never call any American "the enemy."
Oh, and we really are the "party of No"...No out of control government, no rushing to make mistakes.

But, as we said before, what we most want to do is SLOW DOWN, WAIT! we are in no hurry, especially not to hurry into passing bills that nobody knows the content of.   We don't care if the president says "we can't go fast enough" (See the video at Mustang's blog) We know that 'going fast' isn't the answer, 'going all out to do it right' is.
Think before you vote.......we need a Congress which is really looking after America, not just growing government and throwing good money after bad.  Thank you, America.

RNC: is it slamming FOX on PURPOSE now?

THIS information fascinates me. Rupert Murdoch said the NY Times "has an agenda." I think we'd all agree with that. ....after he said this, at the National Press Club, he "....fielded a question from the audience about Fox News' own reputation for advancing a conservative agenda — and lately the conservative, grass-roots Tea Party movement — in its coverage, Murdoch waved off the allegation. "I don't think we should be supporting the Tea Party or any other party," he said. "We have both sides in our news shows, our politics or whatever. We have Democrats and Republicans and whatever."
Of course, Murdoch is right, and you know that if you've watched FOX for more than ten minutes. They have Democrats and Republicans on FOX every single day. The news is right down the middle with both sides portrayed and the 'editorial people' like O'Reilly and Hannity, always (ALWAYS) have the other side on and fairly represented.

Olbermann and Maddow never (NEVER) have a Republican on to give their point of view.

By the way, as most of you know, Shepard Smith can HARDLY be called "Conservative", and he's got the bulk of the FOX afternoon NEWS SHOW, most of you know that. Megyn Kelly gives both sides of the news...I could go on and on. Beck is more like an Olbermann or Maddow in style because he doesn't have many guests and he CERTAINLY is opinionated!.... (aren't we as entitled as libs are?)

If you watch CNN's Wolf Blitzer and his stance on Israel (dismissive and very pro-Palestinian, even giving credence to Biden's saying "Palestinians have nowhere to live" when that's a TOTAL lie), or any other subject, you have to wonder "How's his bias different than any on FOX?" Watch CNN's RICK SANCHEZ once in a while...tell me he's not TOTALLY biased to the LEFT :-) He's hilarious!

THIS is why I publish so much media criticism on my blog.........it IS important the constant ribs at FOX and ignoring of CNN and MSNBC's bias STOPS because people are persuaded by what they read and Independents, who should be finally persuaded that our message is the better one, are suddenly constantly reading how, especially lately, "even Republicans are slamming FOX!" (see my first LINK above)

I'm going to volunteer a wild idea here: The RNC isn't thrilled with the Tea Partiers, we all know that. So...........could this be a push by the RNC to discredit real Conservatism, to slam FOX when there really isn't much truth to what even Conservative critics like Tom Coburn (see the 'lately' link) are saying? Is this planned? I'm not sure it is, but it strikes me odd that FOX is so balanced in their NEWS and suddenly mainstream Republican talking heads are criticizing it and Coburn's saying we should be NICE to PELOSI because she's "NICE?" WHAT? The criticism isn't that she's not NICE, the criticism is she's doing things conservatives can't STAND ! I found the question by the reporter who questioned Murdoch (in italics at the top of this piece) particularly fascinating...he says FOX is advancing the Tea Parties when all they've done is cover a movement of hundreds of thousands of people.................."advancing?" I find it odder that CNN or MSNBC give no credence to the TPers except to report incorrect stories of nasty invectives being hurled.

Michael Steele might have just lost me....

I had remained one of Steele's fans in spite of some of the questionable stuff he's said lately that's turned some of you right off.
I saw him two months ago at an event that was probably 20% Black and 80% White.....the crowd went MAD for him. The very idea that he's now saying that he thinks he and Barack Obama have it harder because of their color rankles me SO MUCH I think he's finally done it for me. I'm very sorry about that.

THIS article and video surprised me, big time. I mean, I liked him because he was a GOOD MAN, not because he was Black. And, if I finally get turned completely off, it'll be because of something about his character that bothers me now, NOT his COLOR!!

The article includes "He grants that his leadership style has "rubbed some feathers the wrong way." ...how's that a race thing?

Tea Partiers win over Congress.....take a look:

In official Washington, some consider the Tea Party movement a fringe element in society, but voters across the nation feel closer to the Tea Party movement than they do to Congress.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 52% of U.S. voters believe the average member of the Tea Party movement has a better understanding of the issues facing America today than the average member of Congress. Only 30% believe that those in Congress have a better understanding of the key issues facing the nation.

When it comes to those issues, 47% think that their own political views are closer to those of the average Tea Party member than to the views of the average member of Congress. On this point, 26% feel closer to Congress.

Finally, 46% of voters say that the average Tea Party member is more ethical than the average member of Congress. Twenty-seven percent (27%) say that the average

As you would expect, there is a wide divide between the Political Class and Mainstream Americans on these questions. Seventy-five percent (75%) of those in the Political Class say that members of Congress are better informed on the issues. Among Mainstream Americans, 68% have the opposite view, and only 16% believe Congress is better informed.

By a 62% to 12% margin, Mainstream Americans say the Tea Party is closer to their views. By a 90% to one percent (1%) margin, the Political Class feels closer to Congress.

“The gap between Americans who want to govern themselves and politicians who want to rule over them may be as big today as the gap between the colonies and England during the 18th century,” Scott Rasmussen, president of Rasmussen Reports, says in his new book, In Search of Self-Governance. “If we had to rely on politicians to fix these problems, the outlook for the nation would be bleak indeed. Fortunately, in America, the politicians aren’t nearly as important as they think they are.”

Earlier polling found that just 16% of voters nationwide consider themselves part of the Tea Party Movement. However, just 11% believe Congress is doing a good or an excellent job. Seventy-six percent (76%) think most members of Congress are more interested in their own careers than in helping people.

On all questions, Republicans overwhelming prefer the Tea Party. Unaffiliated voters also prefer the Tea Party by wide margins, but Congress fares a bit better with unaffiliateds than they do with Republicans. (Z: Oops! Don't tell those unaffiliateds they ARE Republicans for agreeing with so much of the TP movement, they'd hate that, I know that by personal experience!)

Democrats, perhaps not surprisingly since their party currently controls both the House and Senate, are more evenly divided. Forty-five percent (45%) of those in Nancy Pelosi’s party say that their views are closer to the average member of Congress. However, 28% of Democrats say their views are closer to the average member of the Tea Party.

Men are more likely to align with the Tea Party than women, but a plurality of women prefer the Tea Party over Congress on every question in the survey.

If the Tea Party was organized as a political party, 34% of voters would prefer a Democrat in a three-way congressional race. In that hypothetical match-up, the Republican gets 27% of the vote with the Tea Party hopeful in third at 21%. (Z: See the liberal mind? They may poll preferring the TP movement but "OH, MY, if there's an election, I'd vote DEMOCRAT...I GOTTA!" hee hee)

However, if only the Democrat or Republican had a real chance to win, most of the Tea Party supporters would vote for the Republican. (Z: except they also might be the NEW ROSS PEROTs so I look at that stat with a grain of salt)

Fifty-one percent (51%) of Americans had a favorable view of the so-called “tea party” protests just after they were held on Tax Day, April 15, last year. It was those events around the country that gelled into the Tea Party movement, a protest largely against what are viewed as the big government policies of both major political parties.

I hope they do another poll THIS April 15...after THIS year, there's no telling how much higher the numbers will be FOR the TPers...and, don't kid yourselves folks....there are Dems and Indies IN the TP movement, but those stances are PURE REPUBLICAN...but sshhhhh!! Dems don't like to realize they're Republicans and might only finally get down to seeing their true selves in the mirror when they're in the voting booth...I hope)

Obama is THE BIGGEST GIFT EVER.........

Barack Obama is the best thing that has happened to America in the last 100 years. Truly, he is the savior of America's future. He is the best thing ever.

Despite the fact that he has some of the lowest approval ratings among recent presidents, history will see Barack Obama as the source of America's resurrection. Barack Obama has plunged the country into levels of debt that we could not have previously imagined; his efforts to nationalize health care have been met with fierce resistance nationwide; TARP bailouts and stimulus spending have shown little positive effect on the national economy; unemployment is unacceptably high and looks to remain that way for most of a decade; legacy entitlement programs have ballooned to unsustainable levels, and there is a seething anger in the populace.

That's why Barack Obama is such a good thing for America.

Obama is the symbol of a creeping liberalism that has infected our society like a cancer for the last 100 years. Just as Hitler is the face of fascism, Obama will go down in history as the face of unchecked liberalism. The cancer metastasized to the point where it could no longer be ignored.

Average Americans who have quietly gone about their lives, earning a paycheck, contributing to their favorite charities, going to high school football games on Friday night, spending their weekends at the beach or on hunting trips — they've gotten off the fence. They've woken up. There is a level of political activism in this country that we haven't seen since the American Revolution, and Barack Obama has been the catalyst that has sparked a restructuring of the American political and social consciousness.
Think of the crap we've slowly learned to tolerate over the past 50 years as liberalism sought to re-structure the America that was the symbol of freedom and liberty to all the people of the world. Immigration laws were ignored on the basis of compassion. Welfare policies encouraged irresponsibility, the fracturing of families, and a cycle of generations of dependency. Debt was regarded as a tonic to lubricate the economy. Our children left school having been taught that they are exceptional and special, while great numbers of them cannot perform basic functions of mathematics and literacy. Legislators decided that people could not be trusted to defend their own homes, and stripped citizens of their rights to own firearms. Productive members of society have been penalized with a heavy burden of taxes in order to support legions of do-nothings who loll around, reveling in their addictions, obesity, indolence, ignorance and “disabilities.” Criminals have been arrested and re-arrested, coddled and set free to pillage the citizenry yet again. Lawyers routinely extort fortunes from doctors, contractors and business people with dubious torts.

We slowly learned to tolerate these outrages, shaking our heads in disbelief, and we went on with our lives.

But Barack Obama has ripped the lid off a seething cauldron of dissatisfaction and unrest.

In the time of Barack Obama, Black Panther members stand outside polling places in black commando uniforms, slapping truncheons into their palms. ACORN — a taxpayer-supported organization — is given a role in taking the census, even after its members were caught on tape offering advice to set up child prostitution rings. A former Communist is given a paid government position in the White House as an advisor to the president. Auto companies are taken over by the government, and the auto workers' union — whose contracts are completely insupportable in any economic sense — is rewarded with a stake in the company. Government bails out Wall Street investment bankers and insurance companies, who pay their executives outrageous bonuses as thanks for the public support. Terrorists are read their Miranda rights and given free lawyers. And, despite overwhelming public disapproval, Barack Obama has pushed forward with a health care plan that would re-structure one-sixth of the American economy.

I don't know about you, but the other day I was at the courthouse doing some business, and I stepped into the court clerk's office and changed my voter affiliation from “Independent” to “Republican.” I am under no illusion that the Republican party is perfect, but at least they're starting to awaken to the fact that we cannot sustain massive levels of debt; we cannot afford to hand out billions of dollars in corporate subsidies; we have to somehow trim our massive entitlement programs; we can no longer be the world's policeman and dole out billions in aid to countries whose citizens seek to harm us.

Literally millions of Americans have had enough. They're organizing, they're studying the Constitution and the Federalist Papers, they're reading history and case law, they're showing up at rallies and meetings, and a slew of conservative candidates are throwing their hats into the ring. Is there a revolution brewing? Yes, in the sense that there is a keen awareness that our priorities and sensibilities must be radically re-structured. Will it be a violent revolution? No. It will be done through the interpretation of the original document that has guided us for 220 years — the Constitution. Just as the pendulum swung to embrace political correctness and liberalism, there will be a backlash, a complete repudiation of a hundred years of nonsense. A hundred years from now, history will perceive the year 2010 as the time when America got back on the right track. And for that, we can thank Barack Hussein Obama.

An RNC leak makes the Republicans look...BAD? HOW?

I just read this article about leaked documents...headlined "GOP Plan To Use Scare Tactics to Raise Money!" and wonder where the scare tactics are? The 'leaked document' includes this:
"The best path to victory in 2010, the document advises, is for Republican candidates to depict themselves as the best hope for resisting the "trending toward socialism" taking shape in a Democrat-dominated Washington." Yes, aaaand? What's wrong with THAT?

WOW, the headline on Yahoo's homepage is really damning, but.....the article? Not so much. (what else is new?) The article even includes this:
"And Democrats have shown a demagogic streak in the past, depicting George W. Bush and Dick Cheney as Bond-like supervillains and playing up alleged GOP plans to kill Social Security to rally voters behind a popular entitlement program." So, why can't the RIGHT do the same thing without SUCH CONTROVERSY?? As the article (and I) say..."Of course, it isn't unusual for parties out of power to court controversy and play with fire to rile up donors and grass-roots activists."

But, let the REPUBLICANS DO IT and THAT HEADLINE "GOP Plan To Use Scare Tactics to Raise Money!" (which made even MY blood go cold with dread ..."Oh, no...NOW what has the press found?), says to Independents "BAD BAD BAD REPUBLICANS" (how many will really read the article? YOU KNOW most won't..but that image SURE does linger....REPUBULICANS ARE ILLEGITIMATELY SCARING PEOPLE!? Show me WHERE, please? )

As I said in a comment at a blog recently...the Leftist media and Leftist politicians say ANYTHING THEY WANT...lying, twisting, obfuscating...it doesn't matter if it's not true... people HEAR IT and BELIEVE!....the truth matters not....rather like a lawyer saying something that's inadmissable in court.........The jury HEARD IT, objection by the judge means NOTHING. THIS is what our media's doing now................ Even I almost fell for it this time.
