TWO CHICK fil-A?

Two Lesbians have invited Mr. Cathy of Chick-Fil-A to have dinner at their home.  Here's a bit from THIS article:

"But the dinner invitation from Marci Alt and wife Marlysa, who live near Chick-fil-A’s Atlanta headquarters, is no paltry piece of paper, it is backed by an online petition sponsored by Change.org, an online organizing platforms for activists, and GLAAD, a gay rights advocacy group.
“I hope Mr. Cathy will join my family for dinner, where we can share a respectful dialogue about our faith, work and families here in Georgia,” Alt said in a statement. “It’s important that Mr. Cathy meet the people his company is donating millions to stand against."

"It goes on to say "GLAAD President Herndon Graddick said the protest stems not from Cathy’s comments, but from the millions of dollars his company has poured into “anti-gay hate groups.”"

ANTI GAY HATE GROUPS?  Because he supports traditional marriage and puts his money where his mouth is  He HATES gays?  REALLY?

SO, what would you do if you were Don Cathy?    Would you accept the invitation?   Must he?   If so, why?  Maybe he ought to invite them to his house for dinner and show them what a great example a father is in a child's life?

Sally Ride...do you agree with the title?

I sent the following email to a few close friends last night on the subject of Sally Ride's apparent lesbianism, something of which most people didn't know until her death yesterday.

"Here is a woman who tried to keep her sexual choice PRIVATE...who lived with another women for 27 years, happily and apparently monogamously, without (imagine?) forcing America to accept her sexuality because she wanted to marry or wanted notoriety.
Sally Ride has risen above the stars and the moon in my opinion.  I have tears in my eyes with respect for this woman, more than ever. May she rest in blessed peace for her quiet dignity."
I didn't plan on sharing that email with anybody else, but when I saw the title of the article for the story below, I blanched and had to discuss it here.   The title to the following article is this:
SALLY RIDE'S HIDDEN PRIDE.
Really?  She is the one who kept her personal life "hidden"...why would they say "Hidden Pride?"  She was in a 27 year relationship with another woman, a relationship which they both apparently kept quiet all these years; it was her quiet dignity which kept her from divulging this relationship to the public for all these years.  It was HER CHOICE.  Is it her PRIDE to have people out her on the day she DIED???  REALLY?   Here's the article under SALLY RIDE'S HIDDEN PRIDE:

Could Sally Ride, the first American woman in space, also have been the first lesbian in space? She died Monday after a 17-month battle with pancreatic cancer, and according to her website, she is survived by Tam O'Shaughnessy, her "partner of 27 years."
Ride's sister and a spokeswoman for Sally Ride Science, the organization led by Ride and O'Shaughnessy, confirmed the relationship to BuzzFeed along with their preference to keep it private.
O'Shaughnessy is currently a professor emerita of school psychology at San Diego State University, and wrote four books with Ride, but her interest in science started at an early age. The two scientists first met at age 12 playing tennis.
"O'Shaughnessy has been interested in science since she was a little girl," according to her biography. "One of her favorite childhood memories is of watching tadpoles in a creek gradually sprout legs, go green, and turn into frogs."
She wrote nine science books for children and helped Ride launch Sally Ride Science "because of her long-standing commitment to science education and her recognition of the importance of supporting girls' interests in science," according to the organization's website.
An article in the International Business Times says she was at Ride's side until the end.
Ride was not widely known in the gay community and was described as "elusive and enigmatic" and "protective of her emotions" in a 1983 Washington Post article referenced by a New York Times obituary.

If she was protective and elusive, why not let it stay that way in her death?   Is the gay lobby so important that they must out people who didn't apparently want to be outed?   I grieve for Ms. Ride and my sentiments above stand.  I wish she could have rested in quiet dignity, her sexual preference private as she'd wished.

Your thoughts?

The LGBT Community.........illustrated

The 'class' of the LGBT community leaders that Obama must not have vetted before inviting them in for the big Gay Shindig, the first one at the White House is exhibited in these pictures.    Giving the finger to Reagan....the middle one is some 'man' giving the thumbs up to Bush.     One would think that the dignity they want so badly would have been better served if they respected the house which belongs to all Americans, but no...........
I believe many gays do not feel like this and this is just another bad representation of them, just as bad as gay parades with fishnet stockings and false eyelashes on 'men'....... As a matter of fact, a gay group just endorsed Romney.

Would you not have escorted the 'guests' in the picture out of the White House?   I am not surprised, but disheartened that the Obama people didn't do something about this.

Marriage Certificate; only for gays these days?

It's mostly my leftwing friends who live together without the benefits of marriage and do just fine and very frequently remind all of their friends that "WE DON'T NEED A PIECE OF PAPER for anything, particularly not to show OUR LOVE!"   (the piece of paper meaning the marriage certificate, of course)  So, roundly told off in ever-so delicate leftwing rhetoric, one slinks into the background as a dinosaur with a marriage certificate and licks one's old fashioned wounds :-)

On the other hand, it's these same leftwing friends who believe that "piece of paper" is highly necessary for gays.   "They should have that marriage certificate and all the rights!"   Why, if straights don't need it or want it in many cases, must gays have one?  I had two gay couple friends years ago  and they were perfectly happy living together, held no malice toward anyone, and didn't care about marriage at all.    They sure didn't seem to need that "piece of paper."
Which gays need it to 'show their love'?

hmmmmmmmm

Gay Marriage, "you guys"

NEW YORK –By ERICA WERNER and JULIE PACE, Associated Press Erica Werner And Julie Pace, Associated Press
President Barack Obama praised New York state lawmakers who were debating landmark legislation Thursday to legalize gay marriage, saying that's what democracy's all about. But the president stopped short of embracing same-sex marriage himself.   Z; so, wait....what's democracy about here according to Pres Obama?...gay marriage or debating?  He doesn't endorse it (he will after the 2012 election if he wins, wait for it) but he "praised" the lawmakers?

"I believe that gay couples deserve the same legal rights as every other couple in this country," the president said at a fundraiser in Manhattan, his first geared specifically to the gay community. Coincidentally, the long-planned event occurred just as lawmakers in Albany were debating legislation that would make New York the sixth state to legalize gay marriage.

That served to spotlight the president's own views on same-sex marriage, a sore point with gay supporters who've otherwise warmed to him. The president has said his views are "evolving," but for now he supports civil unions, not same-sex marriage.  (Z:  and, of course, 'evolving' today means he's cozying up to the idea, as if anybody who's not for same-sex marriage isn't EVOLVING, right?  Very progressive :-)

"Traditionally marriage has been decided by the states and right now I understand there's a little debate going on here in New York," the president said to laughter. He said New York's lawmakers are "doing exactly what democracies are supposed to do."  (Z:  if it's  state thing, how does a couple married in one state ever move from that state to a state that hasn't EVOLVED? :)

Debate on the measure continued into the night at the statehouse, and the outcome was uncertain.

As Obama spoke a handful of people shouted out "marriage!" And Obama said, "I heard you guys."

Z: "I heard YOU GUYS"?  Like, how very cool, you guys.

SO...YOU THINK HE'LL COME OUT FOR LEGALIZATION OF GAY MARRIAGE BEFORE THE 2012 ELECTION OR JUST AFTER, IF HE SHOULD WIN?

GAY is GOOD...don't you GET it, children??!

PLEASE watch this video; I'd really like your opinion of teaching children this small about homosexuality.  Play close attention to the remarks of the adults...very telling;

We sure don't want anybody hurting others, but I wonder what you think of what they're taught, that they're taught this in school, and at such an early age.

The Media's busy for November...campaigning for the Left (again)

OOOH, could it be true?.....Republicans in Montana : KEEP HOMOSEXUALITY ILLEGAL (Associated Press, YAHOO headline on their homepage for ALL TO SEE!) Read this whole article, it's not long, and tell me if that title fits.......
The story is about a bunch of Montana Republican politicians who do NOT think any homosexuals should be arrested so homosexuality should surely not be illegal, but the headline sure tells another story.......from the story:
"Nobody has ever taken the initiative to change it (the platform point) and so it's remained in the party platform, Greenwood said. The matter has never even come up for discussion, he said."

Take a look and see what you think.......It sounds to me this situation is rather like the sodomy laws or even some laws banning certain other kinds of sex between husbands/wives which some states
still have on their books, (laws people haven't done over because NOBODY ENFORCES THEM anyway), have been forgotten in the complexities of other, more pertinent situations. To suggest, as AP did in the HEADLINE and the linked article, that ANY Republican wants homosexuality to remain ILLEGAL is dishonest and just plain STUPID. (Hey, I just defined the media.)
Oh, and I'll bet the media will find a few other states with Republicans sounding like gay-hating thugs....wait for it.
It's ONLY just begun.........what else do you think they'll come up with before November?

Lesbian Cadets............

So, should a Lesbian have to leave West Point to be 'authentic' to herself?
The article says she excelled at every aspect of the West Point education. She's living under "don't ask, don't tell". She's going to see to it that it that gets repealed.
Katherine Miller says she
"was troubled by the anti-gay attitudes of some around her." Would it be fair to ask her to clarify that statement before printing it? Did anybody ask her if it was really anti-gay (translation by leftwingers: "hate all gays") or just their opinions about gay marriage or the 'don't ask, don't tell' policy? Might that phrase be misleading in the way I suggest? And, don't others have the right to disagree anymore?

She's got it all going for her but she she wants to make love to women. Should she leave West Point? (I know I can trust you all to keep your comments respectful:-)

By the way, I watched a bit of Kathy Griffin on Larry King Live Tuesday night and she was on and on about gay marriage and how that's a CIVIL RIGHT (convince my black girlfriend, okay?) and spewing all of her viewpoints...and I thought "So, when's a person on the side against gay marriage get a chance to laugh and talk and insult her viewpoints!? And will it be a real stick-in-the-mud pastor who's not very articulate again?" How do we fight this stuff? The inference tonight between her and King was that Republicans hate gays and that they're the ONLY people who disagree with gay marriage, and it makes me see how beguiling the left is....how complicit, how they work so well together in painting a very different picture of America than what most Americans feel.... We need comedians, maybe not as debauched and nasty as Griffin, but people who give our other side's viewpoints...don't you think?

Gutfeld..a GAY BAR near Ground Zero? What do you think!?

This made me laugh too hard not too post it...thanks to my NYC cousin who alerted me to it!

MONDAY'S GREGALOGUE:
MY NEW GAY BAR (next to the NYC MOSQUE!)

So, the Muslim investors championing the construction of the new mosque near Ground Zero claim it's all about strengthening the relationship between the Muslim and non-Muslim world.

As an American, I believe they have every right to build the mosque - after all, if they buy the land and they follow the law - who can stop them?

Which is, why, in the spirit of outreach, I've decided to do the same thing.

I'm announcing tonight, that I am planning to build and open the first gay bar that caters not only to the west, but also Islamic gay men. To best express my sincere desire for dialogue, the bar will be situated next to the mosque Park51, in an available commercial space.

This is not a joke. I've already spoken to a number of investors, who have pledged their support in this bipartisan bid for understanding and tolerance.

As you know, the Muslim faith doesn't look kindly upon homosexuality, which is why I'm building this bar. It is an effort to break down barriers and reduce deadly homophobia in the Islamic world.

The goal, however, is not simply to open a typical gay bar, but one friendly to men of Islamic faith. An entire floor, for example, will feature non-alcoholic drinks, since booze is forbidden by the faith. The bar will be open all day and night, to accommodate men who would rather keep their sexuality under wraps - but still want to dance.

Bottom line: I hope that the mosque owners will be as open to the bar, as I am to the new mosque. After all, the belief driving them to open up their center near Ground Zero, is no different than mine.

My place, however, will have better music.

"Out and PROUD" (of WHAT?)

IS THIS EQUALITY? The title is "GAY STARS WHO ARE OUT AND PROUD!" But, the gay stars are not at one function in this Yahoo headline photo piece, supporting some worthwhile cause or something.........they're just pictures taken of gay stars at different functions and so this warrants a Yahoo article and picture sequence???

"As gay pride parades take place worldwide, here's a look at gay stars celebrating who they are" Don't look now, but I think those stars were just attending various celeb nights and didn't have GAY written on their foreheads.....why's Yahoo feel the need?
I keep thinking that real equality is when everyone just lives their lives and gets on with it...WHY DO WE NEED TO TELL anything about ourselves? Is it really so important to highlight them as if they're very special stars?, or some creepy enigma like Yahoo paints them this way? I wonder.

What do you think? And, do you think parades with people attired like those in the image HELP the gay cause?

Gay Boy Scouts...

Philadelphia's threatening the Boy Scouts of America unless they get rid of their ban on gays joining their group of little boys.
Do you think the following quoted statement is the real reason?
"The city of Philadelphia wants to end its $1-a-year lease to the local Boy Scouts chapter unless it rejects a Boy Scouts of America policy banning "avowed" gays. The city says the national rule violates a local law banning discrimination on sexual-orientation and other grounds."
I haven't much to say on this, except I think it stinks that they're being threatened financially for not allowing gay kids in their group. Do you think having gay kids ('gay kids'?) in the Boy Scouts would be a problem for the rest of the kids? Does the huge majority matter at all? And, if not, must they acquiesce because their attitudes are considered wrong by a few?......or maybe the gay kids might want to start a gay group of kids?
What do you think?
