OBAMA: Did you watch?

Did you watch ANY of the DNC last night?   If you were Jiminy Cricket, what would you be saying?

About two minutes total was enough for me..............By the way... a couple of things of interest;  

It turns out one steel worker employed by Bain and who whined about Bain at the DNC didn't actually work for BAIN.   (brother)

AND, did you know that voting for Romney, according to how Nancy Pelosi's lying again, is a vote against Medicare and Social Security?   :-)

Oh, and while I'm typing, I hear Obama tellling the military "Welcome back!  YOU did that!  YOU did that!"  Get it?    He'll use anyone, won't he, including those vets who he's going to cut benefits to.   Obama, YOU did THAT.  And THAT is unconscienable.  But, try to look like you support them....and you have no shame.

I missed Clinton

Actually, I missed Clinton's speech, not him!  Although I miss him compared to what Obama's been doing to us.

OKAY....so what I wondered was this:  WHAT PART OF WHAT HE SAID REALLY STOOD OUT IN YOUR MEMORY/THOUGHTS, ETC.   AND WHY?   WHAT MADE YOU GRATE YOUR TEETH THE MOST OR MAYBE MAKE YOU SAY "WELL, WELL, I HAVE TO ADMIT I AGREE WITH HIM THERE...:"  ?

I will say I heard and agreed with the two minutes during which he complimented the Bushes :-)  But, then people arrived for a meeting and I couldn't hear how he turned the compliments for Bush into slams on Romney, which I figured happened?

PLEASE tell us what you remember from Clinton's speech..........I think that'll be telling and could strike up some good conversation!  Thanks,

It's time to smell the coffee

When Obama named Leon Panetta to replace Robert Gates as Secretary of Defense, I remember thinking that at least we won’t have a red at the CIA any longer. And I reasoned that at DoD, which has more to do with politics than it ever did about defending America, we might be able to limit the damage of a man who is one of the least impressive people in the current government. But Obama didn’t put Panetta at DoD because of his vast intelligence, or his impressive military service, or even his understanding of complex issues involving research, development, and procurement. No, he put Panetta at DoD to help Obama destroy our nation’s department of defense.

This strategy does appear to be working. According to Greg Jaffe at the Washington Post, “For most of the past year, Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta has stressed that the vast military complex over which he presides is at a ‘strategic turning point.’ A decade of grinding guerilla war is drawing to close. Defense budgets are shrinking. The implication is that major changes are coming to the military … So far, however, Panetta has … steered clear of any bold moves aimed at remaking the military for this new era.”  (Z:  maybe waiting for Obama to win and then remake the military to Obama's design?...)

This may be true of Panetta, but it is not altogether true about the military services. The Navy-Marine Corps has always planned for the eventuality of future conflict, often examining scenarios decades into the future. This may be what we expect from our military services, but it isn’t always what we get. Both the Army and Air Force appear stymied about their roles in future conflict. They appear stuck in the cold war. We should anticipate this sort of lethargy whenever senior officers are more accustomed to air conditioning than they are to sand fleas, and whenever the Secretary of Defense lacks the boldness, vision, and fortitude to demand excellence from his service chiefs.

We need fewer powder puffs like Leon Panetta, fewer political generals like little Marty Dempsey, and more “in your face tigers” such as John Singlaub, James Mattis, Stan McChrystal, and Admiral McRaven. We need fewer four-star generals and admirals, and more flag rank warriors. We need a Defense Secretary who will go to bed at night worrying whether he did enough for the security of his country that day, not whether he made homosexuals feel good about themselves.

The DoD serves as but one example of what the Obama administration is doing to all of America’s erstwhile institutions. This is what happens when the American people elect a man to the presidency when that man has no idea what in the hell he’s doing. It makes sense, therefore, that he will appoint others who are equally confused, such as Panetta, Clinton, Holder, Napolitano, Salazar, Solis, Sebelius, LaHood, and Chu. In 2008, journalist Dean Reynolds claimed that Obama’s campaign aircraft smelled like poo; now the entire country is beginning to smell that way.

Wake up America.   (and I'm afraid it'll take a lot more than good, strong coffee to wake US up)

Can Obama Help?

Let us suppose for a moment that you happened to be someone who had never owned a home.  And you happen to be black.  It isn’t quite fair, you know.  White people own homes, so why can’t blacks?  This is exactly the question attorney Barack Obama asked himself some time back in his communist, uh … community-organizing days.  So he riled up a bunch of disenfranchised poor people, 99.99% of whom were black, and they sued Citibank for —oh, I don’t know, maybe loan discrimination.  And then a miraculous thing happened: Obama won his lawsuit, forcing Citibank to offer mortgage loans to 186 black American families.  What a wonderful story.  It almost brings a tear to my eyes.

Almost.

The problem, you see, is that of the 186 families who received mortgage loans they couldn’t afford, only 19 black families still own their homes.  Citibank foreclosed on the rest of those homes.  It is perfectly understandable, of course.  You see, what happens when people lie on their financial statements, when they obfuscate facts, they qualify for homes they cannot afford.  And sneaky pond scum who call themselves communist, uh … community organizers have them sign loan agreements that start off with monthly house payments of around $1,000 a month, which almost anyone can afford.  But then, within eight or so years, those house payments balloon to at or above $3,000 a month, which hardly anyone can afford.  Add to that all the luxuries every family likes to have, diminished cost of living, and staid salaries.  And let's be honest, not every family makes wise financial decisions.

Also, factor in Barack Hussein Obama's unemployment program which disproportionately hurts black workers of all ages [Source].

And this brings us to three essential questions.  First, has Barack Obama’s communist, uh … community organizing efforts helped, or hurt the black community?  Second, given the fact that almost no one can afford Barack Hussein Obama “help,” why are black Americans still lining up behind this lying dirt bag?  Finally, why isn’t Barack Hussein Obama in jail, along with Chris Dodd and Barney Frank?  Okay, I admit that last question is rhetorical.

But yes, those liberals sure do love their black folks.

Hal David, rest in peace

You'll remember Hal David wrote many very famous songs with Burt Bacharach.............HERE is a story about his passing today.    Bacharach/David didn't write music I absolutely love (I had to sing too much of it in clubs and for private parties for a long time and how many times can you sing "Raindrops Keep Falling On Your Head" and "Close to You"?!), but I couldn't let his passing go by on geeeeZ.  ON the other hand............"Don't Make Me Over," ''Walk On By,"  ''Anyone Who Has a Heart," ''You'll Never Get to Heaven"....delicious songs.  I particularly adore "Don't Make Me Over" and "Anyone Who Has a Heart".........We should all be grateful to Hal David for many hours of happy listening.
