Happy Easter Day

" Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb. Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’” From Luke 24...

And, on the LIGHTER side of Easter:

All I need to know
I learned from the Easter Bunny!
Don't put all your eggs in one basket, Everyone needs a friend who is all ears, There's no such thing as too much candy, All work and no play can make you a basket case, Everyone is entitled to a bad hare day, Let happy thoughts multiply like rabbits, Some body parts should be floppy.
Keep your paws off of other people's jelly beans, Good things come in small, sugar coated packages, The grass is always greener in someone else's basket, To show your true colors, you have to come out of the shell, The best things in life are still sweet and gooey.
May the joy of the season fill your heart.
AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU!
Happy Easter!

Don't forget to leave any Easter food traditions you have at my FOOD BLOG! Thanks!

Happy Easter to all of you, too.
see you later.
And please contribute to the Food Blog, I love hearing about family holiday traditions!

By the way, I sent the link to my aunt about whom I wrote and she emailed back asking if I were clairvoyant because I got everything almost exactly right but the main course, which is going to be bbq'd skirt steaks! Weird to have called all the many side dishes just right, huh?

z,
Hope you had an uplifting Easter. C.S. Lewis described Christianity as the most manly religion because of the confrontational nature between God and Satan. And I find Easter to be the most confrontational day.

The Easter sermon talked about basketball--so you would have been won over right away. The pastor made the comparison of fans celebrating as if they had won when the players are the ones doing the work. Well, in Easter, we get to celebrate as victors while Christ did the work.

And i would classify the hymn you posted as underrated.

thanks, tio...interesting basketball analogy there.
And, I'm glad you like the hymn, too!
Pastor did a great job Sunday morning...and all through the Lenten season, as you might remember he does?
