This is the PITTS.............

Would you give Coca-Cola to your kids first thing in the morning to "get 'em going", like BRAD PITT DOES?
It really caught my attention because, I know this sounds screwy, I couldn't help but thinking that giving kids caffeine early in the morning to get them up is like getting them wired, you know?   A friend of mine's dad owned one of the two top voice-over companies in Hollywood years ago and they had to give Judy Garland drugs in the morning to do the voices for "Gay Puree", and she'd come in so down that they had to "get 'er going" with uppers..........is this very much different than that?
By the way, in my linked article, Pitt says that he and Angelina don't plan to marry, despite their six kids, until "all people can marry legally"....well, do something...maybe just get some child rearing information??....the article includes this:

"Pitt says that as the kids get older, they're becoming more aware that their parents aren't married. "We're getting a lot of pressure from the kids," Pitt says. "It [marriage] means something to them. And they have questions when their friends parents are married and why is that."

I feel so sorry for those kids.......nice that I'm sure they love their children, and nice that they adopted children from difficult backgrounds, but man...to give them Coke to wake them up, and to buck traditional values in spite of the fact marriage "means something to them" is a little sad, I think.

Just another dysfunctional family but sadly one looked up to. If a third of what the tabloids say is true then . . .

And the kids get caught in the middle in all the fuss and publicity.

BZ, but they're admired by the leftwing elitists, so that's okay, right? I'd suggest how the media might act if rightwing actors did this but I can't think of any who're still having kids.
Kelsey Grammer.....Gary Senise, JON Voigt (JOlie's dad, of course)...Clint Eastwood......
they'd annihilate any COnservative for hopping his kids up with caffeine to start their day.

Shoprat, they are looked up to...that's why our society's suffering so.

BZ...Jolie said THAT about her weight??? To be more like the poor? MAN OH MAN

until "all people can marry legally"

Didn't realize Brad was a bit of a dumbass, all people can marry legally.

Mind you, he gives them coke in the morning, so that explains a lot.

He 'sometimes' gives the kids a jolt to get them moving in the morning.

I doubt he's the only one who has those mornings.

Kelsey Grammer would probably give them some blow.

I am someone who makes a living giving people health advice. Coke in the morning is not healthy. Having said that neither is the sugar in pop tarts, most breakfast cereals or oatmeal with brown loads of sugar. I grew up on those things for breakfast and I am doing okay. I could go on. My point, because they are uber liberal does not make them dysfunctional parents. I agree, it is worth commenting on because we (parents) can all do better. It may be what we feed kids, impatience, long work hours, "I love yous", hugs, bed times, etc. But bad parents? That is over the top. dysfunctional? Where would these kids be if not in this family?

What's wrong in having a Diet Coke in the morning if you didn't have time for a caffeine injection at home?

It works for me!

These creeps are typical of hollyweird morals and "partner" arrangements. No commitment, no vows...all the brats they want to have ( so they can afford them ). There's thousands of these creeps in hollywierd. All they care about is their private parts, pleasures and protecting their assets.

These creeps are the "trendsetters" and what people long to emulate?

KP...this isn't about politics...
I found it odd and cautionary, something no parents should be doing.
You're absolutely right about the other sweet breakfast junk, but they don't have caffeine in them.
And, as I said in my post, those children are lucky to be with a family.

Imp, it's a terribly sad trend, isn't it...their children are questioning why they don't marry; as if they have something inside that knows better, that would give them comfort and maybe more stability, if their parents were committed to each other....

Bob...you're not 5!!

Ducky, Kelsey Grammer's a very decent guy...

"Bob...you're not 5!!"

When I was that age, my parents let me drink coffee occasionally, but it was sweetened and saturated with milk.

They wouldn't let me have Coca Cola all the time. I think they knew that the cola was not good for kids.

HAHA, Ducky!

I was going to say, if I had that many kids I would be giving them Nyquil in the morning... /sarc/

Seriously, that is a running joke between Dave and I because I used to work with a night shift NURSE who would go home and give her kid Nyquil so SHE could get some sleep! She bragged about it, saw NOTHING wrong with it, and actually thought she was being quite innovative.

Bob, my grandmother would give us a tiny cup of that kind of milky sweet coffee, too, once we were 10 or so...delicious, wasn't it. happy memories. But as a treat, not as a drug!

Brooke, I swear that Nyquil idea is hilarious! Honestly, I could hardly blame her :-)

Z, I've 'Nyquilled' the kids so they could get some rest when ill, but Dave and I kid when they get a bit loud or are just rambunctious or ill behaved and we want some quiet time...

"Hey, you wanna break out the Nyquil?"

;)

Brooke, if I had little children now, I swear Nyquil would be part of a balanced diet for them :-)

Well, a grade school experiment I was forced to witness years ago... a nail in a bottle of Coke proved the be quite destructive to the nail in a relatively short time. Can't imagine what the effect would be on a young, developing body.

Also, I am quite anxious to see Gays partake in the wonderful experience of divorce lawyer fees and a partner taking all your stuff. I think that would be quite amusing. It doesn't excuse Mr. Pitt from doing the right thing for his kids. But the liberal lefties in Hollyweird love it when they have a built in excuse for their lack of a moral compass don't they?

good points, Catherine....and yes, a penny dropped into a Coke doesn't make out too well, either :-) I hate to think what it does to our stomachs, but I sure do like a Coke once in a while :-)

Well, I always enjoyed a Beam & Coke once in awhile, I'd hate to think about what I'd look like internally if I did that more than once or twice a year! LOL!!!
