IRS Hearings going on now

I don't have time to link anything, but am hoping some of you are hearing the explosive testimony of many conservatives who are saying the IRS targeting is still going on, that Lois Lerner plead the Fifth because there are no emails showing her involvement with other high-up IRS people, etc. etc.
Wish I had time to spend more time on this but I need to get to work.

Please weigh in on what you're hearing and seeing, if some of you are watching FOX this morning.  Sadly, CNN, which I kept turning back to to see when they'd cover any of it, was talking about the pot smoke on Justin Bieber's plane and other non-IRS subjects.   I did, however, think that ridiculous Carol Costello did a pretty good interview with Stephen Moore and Christine Roman (sp?) on jobs in America.

SO....what do you say about the IRS and Obama's comment that there wasn't a 'smidgen' of corruption, when the truth is coming out that nobody's been interviewed?!!!

Haha! "pot smoke on Justin Bieber's plane". Now THAT is the type of news today's social media consumers want to hear! As for there not being a "smidgen of corruption", this is just another example of what a skilled and sociopathological liar obama is. His honeyed staccato voice is so mellifluous and dreeeeamy... only racists disagree with him.

From Z of GeeeZ:

DB...no kidding! And did you hear he called O'Reilly UNFAIR because he asked about the IRS, Benghazi and healthcare? :-) O'Reilly said there were unanswered questions and Obama says "Ya, but..." YA? So doesn't he believe the AMerican people deserve answers, not a president who says there's nothing to those issues?

Healthcare's a MESS
Benghazi has tons of problems (signing nondisclosure agreements in connection to their contracts?)
IRS? Witness today...seems like there's more than a 'smidgen' of corruption, huh? geeeZ

There isn't a 'smidgen' of truth coming out of that fraud's pie hole. He needs to go NOW!

The IRS flap perplexes me.

A large number of campaign groups (some on the left but primarily right) decide they can play around and label themselves "social welfare" organizations and avoid identifying contributors.
So using these entities essentially as bag men doesn't seem like something worth investigating? Apparently not. The fringe right will just whine about George Soros and the corruption continues.

But the ruling on Citizens United and the subsequent tripling of these social welfare organizations is merely coincidental.

Well the IRS correctly decided it wasn't and we know a large percentage of these applications were from Crossroad and Americans for Prosperity (i.e. let the Kochs pollute West Virginia) and agents started searching on key words like "tea party","patriot" and "freedom".
Now that is a restrictive search, I will agree but to treat it like all hell broke loose and Nixon's "enemies list" is back is irrational.

When belief is divorced from solid reporting the results are dangerous and we have that problem in spades today.

If the IRS did nothing wrong, they wouldn't have made a public apology and Lois Lerner wouldn't have invoked her 5th Amendment rights.

The new IRS Commissioner John Koskinen apologized after House hearing!!

John Koskinen of the IRS has apologized to the targeted conservative groups and others who suffered because of the agency’s targeting of conservative groups, after he testified before a House subcommittee for the first time.

So, yeah Right! There’s no scandal here...just more apologizing for something that never happened I suppose.

Just imagine if Chris Christie or Bush had did that, you progressive’s would blow a gasket!

Ask yourselves why hasn’t Koskinen been fired? Why hasn’t heads rolled?

@CI:

I think that "smidgen" of corruption just dropped in the form of revealing emails...so Lerner obviously knew about them too...the real revelations lie in who responded to them up and down the food chain.

I wonder if she can be recalled / subpoenaed before Congress again?

She and others need to go to jail if it's all true. But...they won't.

Ducky's here said...

CI they probably "did something wrong". You seem to be playing the excluded middle and assuming that means criminal.
Now there is a huge distance between "did something wrong" and the dog and pony show going on now.

Lerner was advised by council not to testify and it would have been malfeasance for him to advise otherwise during the witch hunt.

Absolute non issue.

"You seem to be playing the excluded middle and assuming that means criminal."

Oh, I'm sorry....was I supposed to pick a side?

Contravention of law and policy may be an error or an oversight...or it may be a criminal act. Hearings and official investigations will bear that out. Apparently, by your statement, you seem to already be apprised of what actually happened.

That, or you'll denigrate hearings during this Administration and applaud them during the next GOP Administration. Because, you're not the "excluded middle" and all.....

We can rest assured that Obama knew about this after all he said he didn't.

I am waiting for him to say if you like your MYRA you can keep your MYRA. What we need is another government run bureaucracy to compete with a private sector business. It must irk him to not have all that IRA tax money he could waste.
Could your IRA/401K be the next government takeover similar to healthcare.

Constitutional Insurgent said...

At least MyRA will be voluntary [at least for now].....unlike Social Security. That's the best we're going to be able to get with Statist parties controlling our national government.

I don’t like the IRS, and neither do I like anyone who does. That said, one might imagine that the entire House of Representatives could uncover the smoking gun long before now. That all we have after so many months is innuendo and evidence of the presence of bureaucrats leaves me with roaming eye disorder. I would rather resolve the voter fraud that is rampant in this country because it has so much more of an impact on our democracy.

Meanwhile, the 503(c) organizations are borderline sleaze, IMO. I think we should consider asking the British to take us back. This experiment isn’t working.

From Z:

I think Ducky ought to inform the media, the government, etc., that he's right, that the apology from the IRS is unnecessary and that does that.

Thanks, Ducky..........but you're so dead wrong, sadly.

Mustang, I've always been a bit of a Royalist; I'm game :-)
Cheerio!

Along with all their suck upping to muslims and sharia law? No thanks...they need another invasion that works this time.

@Mustang:

Well not the whole damn country like GB has done.

Man I watched a video last week of a new sharia PM praising allah and saying "en shalla" a dozen times vowing to take over GB.

AM HOPING WE CAN GET BACK TO THE SUBJECT OF THE IRS HEARINGS.....MAYBE SOME OF YOU SAW IT ON THE EVENING NEWS?

CNN WASN'T COVERING IT THIS MORNING; ARE THEY COVERING IT TONIGHT? ANYBODY KNOW?

THANKS!

obama and the dems get away with everything. Nothing to see here folks.
The "opposition checks and balances party" is nothing more than clownish lip service, and the media is obama's sex slave.

The population? If it's not on ESPN or tattoed on miley cyrus' butt, forgaddaboudeet..

And involving the IRS with healthcare is like making the NAZI SS a dating service for underage girls.

Ducky, you're being ridiculous, only to be topped by Libjerk who is so wrong and so underinformed that I can guess exactly where he gets his news.

SO sad that people aren't more up at arms about our IRS...and the fact that they're apologizing and STILL the lefties think they're innocent!?
HILARIOUS.

Libjerk; take a breath; you're DEAD WRONG.
PLEASE link your sources. Thanks. This ought to be good.

Ducky...I actually thought a LITTLE more of you than how you're handling the IRS subject; UTTERLY ridiculous of you. It's almost unfathomable. get a grip, Ducky.

I suppose that works if one happens to be "Mizaru" of the "Three wise monkeys". Yep, 'see no evil' and it won't be there; yes sir!

Blinders do that to you and great unbiased source.

Whether you like the ruling on Citizens United or not, it's there for all comers, not just one side. The effect has been to open up a teeny bit of balance to the big, democrat union election machines that operate with impunity.

The IRS scandal is beyond what the word 'scandal' implies. Its result is engineered election fraud on a massive, national scale. That makes this a REALLY big story.

As for the corruption part, here is an excerpt from testimony:

Catherine Engelbrecht and her family run a small oil-field machinery business in Texas. In 2009, after spotting numerous instances of alleged voter fraud as a poll-watcher, she founded a couple of conservative political groups, the King Street Patriots and True the Vote.

In mid-2010 she applied to the IRS for nonprofit status. Here's her testimony Thursday under questioning from Ohio Republican Jim Jordan of the House Oversight Committee:

"Ms. Engelbrecht, in the first 20 years of business, did OSHA ever visit your place of business?”

“No sir.”

“Never once?”

“No sir.”

“After you filed the [tax-exempt application for King Street Patriots], OSHA visited then, right?”

“Yes sir.”

“In the first 20 years of business did the [Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms] ever come to your business?”

“No sir.”

“And they came a couple times once you filed your application?”

“Yes sir.”

“And in your first 20 years of business, did the IRS ever audit you?”

“No sir.”

“But once you filed your application, they audited you?”

“Many times.”

“And in your first 20 years of business, did the FBI ever visit you?”

“No sir.”

“But once you filed your application, did they visit you?”

“Six times.”

Coincidentally, those are just the kinds of intimidating serial coincidences that happen all the time in Chicago to opponents of the Democrat political machine. What are the odds of that, do you think?

And another thing!
The Lefties Groups that were denied - yes denied/some action taken, by the IRS....ALL THE WHILE The Tea Party's were put on the Back Shelf/No Action Taken.
That's how the Story gets redirected, The Left was also Targeted....NOT!

I found Englebrecht's testimony today and posted the video. Her testimony should frighten EVERYONE. I have been saying for awhile now, I think the IRS scandal is the most frightening.

When the government begins to use all it's resources to silences those who descent we are in for some BIG trouble.
