Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire

UNTRUSTWORTHY
In 2009, South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson called Barack Obama a liar. It may have been poor form for a joint session of congress, but Obama had just finished calling Republicans liars by suggesting that Obama Care would cover illegal aliens.

Almost immediately, leading Democrats and RINOs denounced Wilson and demanded that he apologize to the President. Jimmy Carter even went so far to proclaim Joe Wilson a racist, joined of course by Maureen Dowd and Bill Cosby.

But now here we are, five years down the road, and we are fully cognizant that Joe Wilson was 100% correct. Barack Obama was lying during his speech to this joint session of Congress, and he continues to lie even now. Writer Brian Hayes tells us, “The Covered California website includes a special page entitled, in Spanish, ‘Fear not if you are undocumented and want to enroll your family in health insurance.’ The website goes on to assure illegal aliens that the information shared with Obama Care cannot be provided to Immigration and Customs Enforcement authorities. It does not explicitly warn that illegal aliens are ineligible.”

So guess what? Joe Wilson was correct; President Barack Obama is a liar —and no, you cannot keep your doctor if you like your doctor. We are wondering, though, where is the Democrats’ apology to Joe Wilson? Why isn’t the free press helping to expose this fraud perpetrated against the American taxpayer?

Okay, just kidding.  We know why.

True or False: Obama "Would Be Impeached If He Weren't America's First Black President"

Okay, okay. I know that Ann Coulter isn't a favorite of many people. But is she correct in her assertion?

BTW, I hope that a few here will watch the video that I posted today. The alarm is being sounded. Is America listening?

How much more evidence do you need?
I was proud of Wilson that night.

Why isn’t the free press helping to expose this fraud perpetrated against the American taxpayer?

Because the only frauds here are Brian Hayes and Robert Elliot. Undocumented workers are still ineligible for insurance on the exchange. "Fear not" refers to those who are afraid any information about an applicants family would be used by ICE.

Under the law, undocumented immigrants can’t get coverage. It also requires that those seeking coverage state their immigration status and provide information about members of their household to determine eligibility.

In October, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, a division of the Department of Homeland Security, said in a memo that it “does not use information about such individuals or members of their household that is obtained for purposes of determining eligibility for such coverage as the basis for pursuing civil immigration enforcement action.”

A link reading “Don’t fear if you are undocumented” on Covered California’s Spanish-language website connects to a page that explains this policy and connects to the memo.

This doesn't let Joe Wilson off the hook. It doesn't let those who take these misleading articles at face value off the hook, either.

This could be the start of something big.

An extensive collection of papers related to Bill and Hillary Clinton’s years in the Arkansas governor’s mansion remains under tight control at a public library in Little Rock, with access restricted by the Clinton Foundation. President Bill Clinton donated his papers from his tenure as Arkansas governor to the Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) in 2003, and they are housed at the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies in Little Rock. The documents could provide new insight into the early chapter of the Clintons’ political careers, as reporters take a second look at Hillary Clinton’s past

It is amazing how protected Hilbill are by the "watchdogs" of society. With all of the disclosures and lack of privacy, only the privileged can do their dirty deeds in the dark and expect no one will see or care.

A California state lawmaker plans to introduce legislation that would allow undocumented immigrants to have access to government health insurance plans.

No, you're incorrect in saying Obama lied when he said illegal immigrants were covered by Obamacare. They are not. One California lawmaker is PLANNING on introducing NOW. That doesn't mean it will happen.

Sam Huntington said...

So "Fear not if you're undocumented and want your family to enroll in health insurance" doesn't encourage undocumented persons (a euphemism for illegal alien) to register for government subsidized health care programs?

I see.

If anyone needs health care, particularly mental health care, it has to be Craig and his leftist playmates.

Shaw Keewee said...

Obama is not a liar you racist’s and haters! Obama told the truth! It is the insurance companies that were forced to drop coverage because of Obamacare that are at fault for not providing lactating coverage to men which is a form of profiling!

Craig said...

Sam, Please read it carefully. No one who isn't eligible can get it. If a family member is undocumented, they can't get it. The ICE memo says they won't use the ACA registration information as a tool to deport someone.

They still have to prove eligibility under the law. "Illegals" are not eligible. It's very simple. Mustang's source is lying or can't read.

What President Obama’s Wealth platform should include.
No person would be allowed to accumulate a personal net worth of more than 300 times the average family fortune, which would limit personal assets to between $5 million and $8 million. A graduated capital levy tax would be assessed on all persons with a net worth exceeding $1 million.
Annual incomes would be limited to $1 million and inheritances would be capped at $5 million.
Every family was to be furnished with a homestead allowance of not less than one-third the average family wealth of the country. Every family was to be guaranteed an annual family income of at least $2,000 to $2,500, or not less than one-third of the average annual family income in the United States. Yearly income, however, cannot exceed more than 300 times the size of the average family income.
An old-age pension would be made available for all persons over 60.
To balance agricultural production, the government would preserve/store surplus goods, abolishing the practice of destroying surplus food and other necessities due to lack of purchasing power.
Veterans would be paid what they were owed (a pension and healthcare benefits from them and their entire family).
Free education and training for all students, no matter what their color or race, or religion may be, or where that originally came from to have equal opportunities in all schools, colleges, universities, and other institutions for training in the professions and vocations of life. And that goes for people of any lifestyle.
I wonder where the country would have been without Mr. Obama!

I think we're damn fortunate to have her on our side friends. Since Andrew Breitbarts passing...there's not one person in the media today who has the balls of Andrew, save for Coulter. See what kind of a disgusting country we've devolved into...when a woman like Coulter, Ivy League as she is, NY cocktail crowd as she is, lawyer that she is...stands up for the constitution and takes no guff from the filth that is the Left. Who are responsible for the destruction of and the downfall of this country. And she...is all we have left to counter the evil of the insane drift towards the complete balkanization of this country? Well...it's certainly not O'Reilly, Colmes, Hannity or even Limbaugh who's willing to walk the walk, is it? No...It's the Juan Williams, the mealy mouth faux black PR who's doing the talking points, right?

And there's not one damn thing we can do about it...NOT ONE THING...see...it's not about the country "going down", the country as we know it is down...and forever done, gone, over with....and PC...and diversity BS...are the poison that has killed us.

And so long as the traitors in DC are on the side of the..."children", the illegals, the criminal and above all the restless racism in blacks...we cannot win...by conventional means. Translation: Your "vote" is a joke...a meaningless exercise in futility.

Furthermore, I'll take a beautiful blonde, green eyed "barbie" over the evil snark, ugliness and hateful harpy that is our current FLOTUS and any BBA that needs a $12,000 tent to mask her ugliness.

And one who's college thesis while at a prestigious Eastern University known as Princeton ( with a purely undeserved admission if not for AA ) complained about how much she hated America. That's what we now have at the helm of this country and it's maniacal, racist "leader" with his army of criminal white hating racists. Especially noted...the one who is the AG.

Want some proof? Here is the "president" of the crap hole, narco, drug cartel administrator of mexico...at a SOTU address...telling US...what we have to do...to appease his criminal citizens in our country.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies.

The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be "cured" against one's will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.

You’ll have to forgive me, as I was raised in a society that taught its young people that words have meaning. So what you people on the left are saying, essentially, is that Fear not if you are undocumented and want to enroll your family in health insurance doesn’t actually mean “go ahead and sign up, even if you are undocumented.”

Do I understand this correctly?

So then the next question should be, what is the point of undocumented aliens signing up for Obama Care if they aren’t eligible for Obama Care?

Dave Miller said...

Craig, I signed up for ObamaCare in my state of Nevada, one of only two states where a GOP Governor helped build a state exchange.

In order to complete my application, I had to provide either a birth certificate, a valid US Passport, or proof of legal immigration status for both my wife and I.

Until I provided those, my application was held in suspense, uncompleted.

With the benefit of actually using the system as evidence, I fail to see how people here without papers could get coverage.

This is a classic example of people asking for proof that something is not going to happen. There is no objective way to satisfy those types of demand.

And now, if you'll excuse me, I've got to schedule my wife's long neglected knee surgery so she can walk without pain again since now she cannot be denied coverage for a preexisting condition.

Duckys here said...

More rants about what the press isn't reporting.

However, the example given is very poor reporting designed to get the fringe right stirred up and work the bigotry.

Has the so called "liberal media" (LMAO) reported on the demonstrations in North Carolina and other parts of the South in response to right wing state government?

Of course not.

I'll ask Jack Whyte if this story might refer to situations where a child is a citizen and qualifies for health insurance. Now, I'm sure your reaction is, "screw the kid" but it is quite a different story.

So you can either choose good reporting or (m)Ann Coulter.

@ AOW

The law, written by lawyers, is always sufficiently vague to allow a lawyer to drive a semi-truck and trailer through ambiguous laws. And so it is with the constitution. First, the Constitution doesn’t actually mean what you or I think it means. It only means what the Supreme Court thinks that it means. Thus, even the light headed leftist can understand why presidential elections are so important: they get to select judges for the Supreme Court —hopefully those who support the president more than they do the Constitution.

Next, we have to understand that one of the gaping loopholes is presidential latitude in enforcing the law. We have seen Obama ignore some laws with some frequency, and prosecute others with solemnity and urgency —such as openly queer generals in the military, refusing to prosecute government officials for the death of Officer Brian Terry, refusal to hold anyone accountable for the debacle that was Benghazi, and refusing to bring Lois Lerner and others to justice for violating federal laws vis-à-vis political discrimination. Now in state courts, these examples would constitute prosecutorial misconduct, but such terms do not apply to the King of America and his ass kissing acolytes. And besides, since the president has “great latitude” in deciding which laws to vigorously enforce, the Supreme Court under the traitor John Roberts would back Obama up.

I think Ann Coulter is correct about impeachment, but you and I both know that hell would freeze over before the senate would ever convict Barack Obama. The fact that Obama knows this, that the communist majority in the US Senate knows this, is what has produced Obama’s arrogance. And you, young lady, had better button up your lip if you know what’s good for you.

Sam Huntington said...

Wow Dave Miller. So you actually allowed your wife to suffer with knee pain because you wanted other people to pay for her surgery? You are one heck of a husband. Won't happen, IMO.

I believe that the GOP (and others) are self-muzzled to a certain extent because of the current penchant for calling any opposition to any of Obama's policies as racist.

No Sam, it isn't like that at all... my wife, because she had some issues 25 years ago has been consistently denied medical insurance since that time.

Because of the reality of her past problems, we could not afford to purchase any type of medical insurance that would make her surgery possible.

Her surgery, to repair torn knee ligaments, is viewed as elective.

We also do not make enough to personally fund the surgery and pay for her required medicines to keep her alive.

All I ever asked for was an opportunity to purchase medical insurance at a reasonable price and not be denied coverage because of a previous condition.

We're not getting anything for nothing [as evidenced by the $500.00 a month fees] and your attitude clearly explains, and demonstrates why conservatives, and the GOP, are having a hard time winning national elections. It shows a clear lack of compassion and an unwillingness to even consider the position of others.

I attacked no one in my comments, but in your response, you took aim directly at me, my wife and people here without papers, or, if you prefer, illegally.

This is exactly what many in the GOP, including GOP Chairman Preibus, Rand Paul and Bobby Jindal have said conservatives and the party must end if it wants to appeal to the larger electorate.

We celebrate a momentous day today with the five year anniversary of the signing of the Obama stimulus bill. Since that time we have seen millions of shovel ready jobs, unemployment return to under 5% and Solyndra lead the way to a whole new industry in solar energy and pay the taxpayer back every dime it borrowed. We have also seen the huge growth in the middle class and taxes only increase for the wealthy.

All those things did happen and if you don't believe it you just don't like the fact that we have a lying black man for president.

When you sign up for insurance, you are wagering.
Your wager was that your wife would already have a need for knee surgery. Nobody wanted to take that bet.
Health Care instead is a plan by which you pay for service to maintain your health.
A loan company would see lending you money for that surgery as unsecured.
Our government is guaranteeing that loan.
And financing it at the expense of your fellow citizens livelihood.
No slam. No anger. Lot's of compassion from me.
But that's what it is.
It is not insurance as we've know it.
It is socialism.

Aren't there policies that insure without covering pre-existing conditions for the first 10 months that the policies are in force? After that, all illnesses of all types are covered. I know for a fact that BCBS had such a policy in 2009, when I was searching for a private policy. He was denied coverage, but was offered a policy such as I described above. My cousin-in-law also took out such a policy back in 2003 -- and she had never before had health insurance (by hew own choice).

As one who has suffered excruciating knee pain -- both before and after the surgery -- I'd go on food stamps before I'd let that kind of pain continue.
