Oh, my...a Democrat governor who can't find one thing nice to say about Obama.......
Now my lefties here will find some ridiculous little thing in Gov Bryan Schweitzer's past and that's supposed to negate everything in my post and draw your attention from Schweitzer's comments. Or the lefties won't comment at all. :-) Wait for it.
Obviously, Schweitzer's no Conservative..."We can’t afford any more hard right" is something he told The Weekly Standard, but I always giggle at that...."HARD RIGHT," these days, seems to be code for "anybody who doesn't go along with us." And, don't forget...voters hear HARD RIGHT and take a firm, hard LEFT. Very effective in the voting booth.
Anyway, you'll want to read the link......see what you think. Posting this is probably like shooting fish in a barrel, but......I liked it :-)

I've always enjoyed hearing Schweitzer on radio interviews and such. I think he would be more of a threat to the GOP than an easy target like Clinton.
And, the use of "hard right" by the left is generally [and fairly] negated by the use of "far left" by the right. It's lazy distraction from the merits of an issue.
The Butcher of Benghazi aka the Pig in a Pant Suit, needs to be more than just Cited.she needs to be Indited, tried, and convicted! That would be more fitting. I still see her and her boss aka the Lair in Chief acting all sad and somber when the 4 dead Americans were returned home in their caskets . For that lie alone she should never show her face in public again, especially as our President... God Forbid! ..
I've met the guy and talked with him while he was governor in Montana. He was just out walking his dogs and I went up to him. He was very gracious and I came away liking him. He succeeded in a pretty conservative state.
As for far right, I've yet to hear a single conservative give an example of what they would consider far right. I did have one once say that far right was impossible because right was correct and you can't be extremely or far "correct"
What had happened and what followed in Benghazi is the biggest dereliction of duty by a US President and Secretary of State in the nation's history. It is disgraceful and contemptible and the subsequent shameful coverup only added to this event's ignominy. A real Commander-In-Chief would have dispatched armed forces promptly to let the terrorists, and the world, know that the US will not allow its citizens to be wantonly slaughtered by terrorist savages. Obama, on the other hand, had to retreat to his bedroom to rest up for a fund raiser the next day.
We don’t need Hillary Clint to be the next Liar-In-Chief.
The lives of four Americans serving their country were lost due to incompetence, and add to that a “Cover Up” and we have more politicization. That's what difference it makes, Madam LIAR!
These democraps just continue to lie and compound their lies until the fabrication caves in on them like a tsunami...
0bama's appointment of that woman as Secretary of State was not only one of the most politicized and incompetent appointments in history but also one of the most foolish. That woman's pattern of incompetence was on full display during the sad years of her tenure at State. But this was NOT surprising in the least. Liberals have no problem making up these lies and these insane decisions!
If Brian Schweitzer were intending to make a run for the presidency, then I would expect him to find something harsh to say about his likely opponent, and to distance himself from the bozo in the White House. That does not make him presidential material, however … nor even inspire my political imaginings. I read the article, and somehow, “Obamacare will collapse on its own weight” seems to be a not-so-clever leftist cliché intended to distance leftists from ownership of Obamacare. You know, if they keep this up, we may one day have to look at Obamacare in the same light as we do the birth of Jesus: in the absence of an earthly father, a divine miracle.
I guess by “hard right” he really means the Tea Party … which are those radicals who love America, who come from both political parties, and who are tired of business as usual in Washington DC. Indeed —a pox on them! While we are handing out poxes, Schweitzer can have one too.
I don't know why you find this curious. Obama is a conservative, pure and simple.
There is no progressive movement in American politics at the moment although the right has screwed up so badly that it is nascent.
I continue to wonder how it is possible to communicate with someone who actually calls Obama a socialist.
Hard right is a nose picker like Louis Gohmert or Ted Cruz. Yahoos like Rand Paul calling for a return to the gold standard.
Fixation on homosexuality.
Unwillingness to admit that markets fail.
Belief that Medicare carries more overhead than for profit private insurers.
That kind of silliness is an example of the "hard right".
An example of the more effective center right typified by Obama would be his attempts to finesse the TPP, an agreement that cedes our sovereign regulatory ability to international corporations.
Truly dangerous and the right wing here has admitted they aren't aware of it. Too fixated on homosexuality.
To me the fringe right is docile and in the face of the growing surveillance state will just shrug like obedient children and say "If you aren't doing anything wrong you have nothing to fear."
Happy to live as docile little consumers who fear everthing different.
"Obama is a conservative, pure and simple."
No. Obama [like many Republicans] lacks the inherent support for civil liberties and individual sovereignty [across the board] to quailify him for that label.
Extreme Libertariainism with no developed sense of culture or community.
Another example of the fringe right.
Ducky, what you responded with bears no relation to what I wrote, or reality. Don't levy accusations that you can't even define.
Ducky, your mindlessness is nothing short of astonishing. Are you getting professional attention?
No CI, I am quite on target.
This worship of the cult of the individual and Locke's cult of property rights is simplistic and dangerous.
It is a marker of the fringe right and ironically works against your own self interest.
Bravo Sam. You impart the usual depth of analysis.
Enjoyed your piece at AOW's today where you strut your latent religious intoxication. A vision of Christ which is so profound you think religion's primary purpose is to control sexuality.
Stunning depth.
Ducky, you'll excuse me if I give little credence to somebody apparently viscerally opposed to Libertarians....when they attempt to describe Libertarians. It carries as much weight as you would give to a Libertarian describing Socialism, and the cult worship thereof.
You may be excused but it doesn't mitigate the extreme position of Libertarians in placing the individual as ascendent in some kind of Nietzschean dystopia.
The brand of Libertarianism we see these days has considerable difficulty analyzing its own faults and merely counters the problem with a cry of "not enough Libertarianism". So we drift into an untenable position.
It's shallow. Just as shallow as using cliches like "love of country" to substitute for a considered position.
It is my considered belief that the left understands weaknesses in leftist philosophies much better than the Libertarians and their disdain for community and reliance on the so called free market as a vehicle for cooperation.
No, there isn't much substance on the right in these times and that is not so much indicative of the bankruptcy of conservative ideas as it is the extent that the extremists are in control.
From Z of Geeez
Ducky, we're truly seeing where you are now and YOU call US "fringe" and "extreme?" :-)
"the cult of the individual.." Would that mean self-reliance, perseverance, succeeding in one's life, or.......??
It's not worth addressing the rest; just a great illustration of really TRUE EXTREMISM in America..not so much in Eastern Europe, though they've FINALLY started to throw OFF the mantle of socialism which has never worked.
Congratulations, Mr. Dark Ages.
Ducky, all you've done is merely confirm that you have no understanding of Libertarianism. It is not the GOP, it is not the "right", it is not the tea party and it is not generally Conservatism [as currently practiced by the GOP].
That you claim leftist ownership of "community", only reinforces that your version of that term espouses an abrogation of individual liberties and responsibiltiies to the State.
The brand of Libertarianism you think you see is what the infotainment media allows you to see....and the proffering of canards such as 'love of country' is as shallow as you accuse, because you generally won't find libertarians employing such rhetoric.
You're all over the map in your stewing of all things you consider to be in opposition of Socialism. Most Libertarians are...you simply fail to demonstrate a grasp on why.
Obama is a conservative, pure and simple.

Let's see if I've got this right:
Obama's a conservative. A man that's tuned in to individualism and a Nietzschean distopian power paradigm and a dedicated follower of John Locke and property rights. And all that, I guess, we'd see evident in the actions of Obama over the last five years.
I'm thinking you must be the only person on the planet to see this as empirically evident. If you ever stick your head outside of your "rabbit hole", Ducky you'd see that the world you imagine is light years from reality.
I believe you've become intoxicated on the fumes of your hate-filled idol, Karl Marx, constantly filling the world with your own hate-filled halitosis, likely for your own twisted amusement.
Ducky,
"Belief that Medicare carries more overhead than for profit private insurers."
Well, I'm not sure of what that is supposed to mean but I can tell you that the current Medicare unfunded liability is: >$79,029,000,000,000 (our total GDP is around $15,000,000,000,000 ). Private insurers are required to put up [reserves] to cover their liabilities. The Government can just "run wild", that is until all Hell breaks loose. Bear this in mind and read the definition of unfunded liability below. Then think about the total absurdity of the above quote, in its complete context.
What are "unfunded liabilities"? Suppose you have no assets (no house, savings etc.), and you promise to pay me $1000 per month for a year. Your "unfunded liability" is $12,000 (12 months times $1000). The Federal Government has made similar promises for Medicare, Social Security, Medicare Part D (the Prescription Drug Plan) while not setting aside any money for these programs. Eventually the bill will come due and the government will have to pay those promises by law - or change the law.
"Obama is a conservative pure and simple." ??
Conservative: a person who holds traditional attitudes and values. Tends to be averse to change.
What was that Obama campaign slogan again? Wait ... it's coming to me ... YES - CHANGE!
"We are 5 days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America." Obama, 5 days before his election in 2008.
Spoken like a true conservative. Deeply embedded with those other notorious conservatives as Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Saul Alinsky, Frank Marshall Davis....
-------------------
'Hard right' and 'fixation on homosexuality'
How's that again? WHO is fixated? WHO always brings it up, rants and raves? Shouts down the other side, steals their livelihood, etc?
The right fixated - really? I guess when the ball keeps getting thrown over the plate you are forced to take a swing at some point.
Hard right is a nose picker like Louis Gohmert or Ted Cruz. Yahoos like Rand Paul calling for a return to the gold standard.

Using your logic, Ducky, Obama belongs with your favorite straw men.
I guarantee you that Obama would NEVER question anything that the Federal Reserve does. He'd end up in a pine box like JFK. But why shouldn't any productive citizen that has accumulated savings be able to redeem monetary assets from paper fiat currency into gold?
It's probably more complicated than a fog bound Marxist such as yourself would be able to comprehend. But I'll give Glenn Beck his proper recognition of the heist of the millenia that has been going on in this world for the last 100 years. Is the recent demand by Germany to repatriate its gold and the American refusal a symptom of a much bigger problem? Could be ... GOLD

Since when did "love of country" substitute for a considered opinion? Since when did "Love of country" become unpopular and even gross to some Americans?
I know that those pesky Dumbocrats and Progressives aka ignorant buffoons on these blogging boards love to crow about Chris Christy’s downfall. But I’d rather write about the fact that Benghazi was Preventable, and The Butcher of Benghazi’s Lies and the 4 dead Americans !. For that lie alone she should never show her face in public again..
On the other hand, he is NOT a gun control advocate and he supports the coal industry. . .

It sure sounds like Schweitzer would beat the heck out of our current POS. But, then again, that would apply to about anybody!
I think a lot are throwing obama under the bus now that there 'is no consequence' to it. Last term and all for bambam.
It's political strategy. Media do it too so when people point out they've been sex slaves to the democrat party, they'll pull some meaningless articles out where they criticized the naked emperor...
Looks like duck has taken over the conversation again by squealing absurd nonsense from the cuckoo's nest..
Hey, let me try. Duck, when did you get your Mensa card you crazy super genius you?
@Kid:
"sex slaves to the democrat party.."
And more than any other low life pol I know..DWS...Debbie Wasserman Shultz, has been under the oval office desk, selling Jews to Iran on the cheap. Boxcar Debbie ought to be her moniker now.
@ Kid
If you enjoy listening to Ducky squeal like a little girl, you should take a gander of his comments at AOW's blog. I suspect that Ducky's homosexual tendencies aren't quite so latent as even he may think.
I love it when you play butch, Sam.
Duckys here said...
Extreme Libertariainism with no developed sense of culture or community."
Honestly, Ducky, I feel like you're suddenly becoming the comic relief at geeez. You've exposed so much ridiculous conjecture on your part as if it's FACT and you truly believe it...wow!!!!!!!!!!
Imp, I can't think of anything debbie wouldn't probably do.
@Sam, I've seen him around a little. He can get pretty rude and total commie. Sure makes me think he's getting paid for it.
IF not, he's servicing the hairy reid's out there for free.
