HENRY WAXMAN'S RETIRING!

I read somewhere yesterday that Waxman is blaming Tea Party extremism.

Huh?

Waxman will be 75 years old in September, and he's been in Congress over 30 years. Time for him to leave anyway, right?

Constitutional Insurgent said...

Can he take 434 distinguished friends and colleagues with him?

I lost any basic respect for him when he went on his witch hunts against Blackwater.

Jim at Asylum Watch said...

Fear not. Waxman will be replaced by a clone.

RIGHT but "Nostrilitis" should never have been there to begin with!

Wish it were Feinstein (D -- Bomb Iran).

Ducky and I agree! Of course out here we call her "Trigger Finger".

Maybe he can take McCain with him just to balance things out. Feinstein and her pall "don't call me ma'am" Boxer should lead the parade to bail as well.

Rush Limbaugh will be pleased to learn that Sandra Fluke is considering a run for Waxman's seat. She should have no problem winning such a contest, primarily because the money will roll in like freshly printed twenties from the US mint. Of course, the bad news is that those 20’s will only be worth about a buck ninety-five.

True that, skud and we could have Paul Ryan kick off the band with a rousing chorus of 76 Trombones.

Halleluiah!!

Waxman will be gone! My district was changed so that he is our representative. Goodbye Henry, and good riddance!!
Unfortunately, and no doubt, there will be another idiot taking his place.

Btw Z, thank you for the video. I was fortunate to be in the HS choir, and loved to be part of singing The Messiah! So was Mr. Pris.
I doubt it would be allowed to be sung these days which is so very sad.

Mustang, I heard Fluke is considering Congress but I thought you had to be from the are you represent; is she from California?
AMAZING she'd be even considered to run.....well, we have a country now where young single women are proud to go in front of congress and tell everyone in the world via TV that they need birth control paid for by the government, so why not?
A hilarious part of this is I just Googled her and the Yahoo AP article says she "rose to prominence when Conservative Talk show host Rush Limbaugh called her a slut"..REALLY? It wasn't PROMINENT enough to do what she DID? :-)

Skud; Boxer is loathsome..she's beneath contempt.

Feinstein has actually been quite reasoned on Benghazi; not the typical leftwing "don't tick Hillary off, whatever you do!" Democrat. I give her credit for that.

Always...what leftwinger doesn't blame the Tea Party for ALL the ills in our country?..you know, the bunch who advocate standing up for our Constitution and protecting the Amendments? :-) Ya, that bunch...the racist bunch (according to lefties) which happens to have some black leaders!
Honestly, sometimes I think this country's a laugh a minute.

Hi, Pris!
That was the first thing that came to my mind when I heard the great news that Waxman's LEAVING..what a MESS he's been; that awful Mr Piggy face, etc. (sorry, I don't usually do that, but let's face it... :-)
HALLELUJIAH!

By the way...you all heard about MSNBC's Twitter about CONSERVATIVES NOT LIKING THE CHEERIO'S AD WITH A MIXED RACE COUPLE, right?

Remember I've been telling you how far the leftwingers are going to go to CEMENT those thoughts in voters' minds.
Apologies DO NOT COUNT, nobody hears them.......
what counts is it was said.

I should keep a list of these...by November, 2014, these slams on Republicans by lefties fearful of losing the senate at the midterm elections will stretch from my desk to Munich...wait for it.

Thanks, I now understand the reason behind Ducky's first comment.

The mainstream media are determined to demonize any and all opposition to the Democratic Party and its agenda. Straight out of Alinsky.

The election of Sandra Fluke should be a real moral booster to the House of Representatives; now everyone can get laid at taxpayer’s expense—legally.

Constitutional Insurgent said...

"well, we have a country now where young single women are proud to go in front of congress and tell everyone in the world via TV that they need birth control paid for by the government, so why not?"

Well...it's the same country where people support a talk radio host who thinks that the amount of birth control pills a woman takes....equals the promiscuity of the woman.

Actually, you don't know squat.

Primary reason is her being one of the primary pimps, along with Billy Tauzin, for the drug industry.

D

Benghazi, Benghazi 24/7/365.
Hillary is going to kick your ass if Benghazi/Benghazi/Benghazi is all your little ex-military head can offer.

Sam Huntington said...

Ducky's right. Who on the left gives a shit if Hillary's incompetence contributed to the death of a US Ambassador and three other employees of the US government. Ain't no big thang ....

"Benghazi, Benghazi 24/7/365."

And that's the sadly stale retort from the left. Anytime someone brings up the subject, they're accused of bringing it up 24/7.

And what exactly is meant [though not directed at me] by "little ex-military head".

skudrunner said...

Can you just imagine first husband Bill in the WH and Fluke paying visits. Sorry Sandy the wifey just left but perhaps I can accommodate you.

Ducktail, do you really want Bill in the WH. Of course anyone is better than the current disaster.

CI go to Lara Logan.

It's over and all the right is doing is alienating the normals.

Constitutional Insurgent said...

Ducky, what you posted bears no relevance to my question and statement. The fact remains that while many Americans want purposeful hearings to address the core issues that led to the degraded security posture in Benghazi.......what we get in reply is exactly what I quoted.

skudrunner said...

Duck,

Why is it that the federalists won't investigate and discuss what happened. It make hillary look bad, not that she did anything but perhaps that is the problem.

Someone doesn't like the community organizer, it's because they are racist.
His poll numbers are sliding, it's because people don't like a black man in the office.
Nothing happened at Bengazi, it's because the right is racist.

Give it up. Even Swift Boat is making hillary look bad. As incompetent as he is he has accomplished more in a few months than she did in four years. Big difference is he has not racked up near the frequent flier miles.

Henry Waxman is retiring? Does this mean that I can turn my TV on, again?

Ed Bonderenka said...

His retirement, and the exodus of others, is a capitulation to the Republicans hoding the House.
No power to be gained.

Baysider said...

Sandra Fluke? Seriously? Or is this an Onion story. Rush Limbaugh only put a caption on the picture she painted of herself. Don't know why anyone made a deal out of that.

While it's good riddance to Waxman whose every position I disagreed with, we'll just get another little termite with the same effect. Expect no less from the People's Republic.

Kid said...

waxman's not retiring, he's quitting so he can move into an even more personally lucrative and powerful position as Lobbyist....... As are many other democrats who will blame obammycare for their early departure.

Kid said...

@Sam, That really burns my hide. The rest of us actually have to pay to get screwed...

Kid said...

and fluke? I can't understand how that person needs more than a buck fitty for a years worth of contraceptive. I think the was operating with wishful thinking turned up to max gain.

CI, your comparison of a young woman begging for birth control from the government, her lack of modesty or propriety going on public TV, in Congress, on talk shows discussing her sex life and lying about the cost of pills, etc., is so different from any talk show host saying whatever you suggested holds no water at all.

I'm talking morality, ethics, decency.
Who gives a darn what some talk show host bloviates? it's his opinion...and I'm not sure how many supported him, frankly.

OFF TOPIC,

The State Department has come to the conclusion that the keystone pipeline will be good for energy and not bad at all for the environment...
if they'd ONLY listen to Conservatives.......they'd save so much time and so much grief.

Here's the hilarious part from the loony left that made me laugh when reading the article:

"I'm actually pretty optimistic with what we are going to see," she says. "This report is going to have some things environmentalists like and it's going to have some things that the oil industry likes, and it's going to be written in a way that lets the president make the decision that he thinks is best."

HE THINKS BEST? Pardon me, but we have to depend on OBAMA for expertise on THIS? Oh, my gosh...........by the way, IS there anything he excels in? Truthfully?

Baysider said...

Since Obama's buddy (and big political contributor) bought the railroad that carries the oil, the competing pipeline was doomed. Wonder what the Prez will think is 'best?'

Kid said...

obama excel ?.... well, he got a score of 38 at bowling. Puked at the mound throwing like a left handed girl on some first pitch event coming no where near the plate, Flew across the street on a bicycle with a flat tire at 0.000001 Mph while wearing a helmet, couldn't figure out how to get an umbrella through a gate with a cross beam, has no idea how to do a military salute, can't pronounce the word Corpsman, even after extensive training, thinks there are 57 states and maybe 1 or 2 more beside.... Excel. Nope, don't think so. It appears he is a pathetic specimen of a human male from both a physical and mental standpoint.

Maybe some libtard will enlighten us to something he's done better than a 4 year old. ?

@Baysider:

"ailroad that carries the oil, the competing pipeline was doomed..."

I wonder if his omnipotence reads about the daily railroad derailments carrying crude and NG? Seems to me it's a hell of a lot safer and secure in a pipeline, doesn't it?

Plus...I loved how he bragged about oil production being up. The SOP didn't mention it was all due to private enterprise and all on private lands.

He didn't have on GD thing to do with it. The Fed fools haven't issued a permit for years.

Waxman is being compared to Ted the Swimmer Kennedy?

Might be accurate though...I heard he drowned a waitress when he sneezed on her.
