In America, a woman has the right to choose what she will do with her own body. In America, a woman has the right to murder her unborn child.
Where is the logic in this?
“Eugenics is the most adequate and thorough avenue to the solution of racial, political and social problems.” —Margaret Sanger
Most of the Planned Parenthood offices (78%) are located in predominantly black neighborhoods. Even though blacks make up only 12% of the US population, 35% of all abortions are performed on black women. This means that Sanger’s racism is alive and well in the progressive movement, which upon careful consideration, must be a misnomer.
Yet, the left accuses the tea party and the conservative right of racism.

Shocking! Also, not true. 73% of offices are in rural and medically under served areas. 90% of what they do is preventative, cancer screening and treating STDs. Of the clinics that provide abortion services, 9% are located in predominantly black neighborhoods.
A study, using census data, by Guttmacher shows,
63% were located in neighborhoods where one-half or more of the residents were
non-Hispanic white;
•
12% were located in neighborhoods where one-half or more of the residents were
Hispanic;
•
9% were located in neighborhoods where one-half or more of the residents were
black;
•
1% were located in neighborhoods where one-half or more of the residents were
“non-Hispanic other”; and
•
15% were located in neighborhoods where no single racial or ethnic group accounted
for one-half or more of residents.
Your Sanger quote is phony too. Here's the full quote,
Today //Eugenics is suggested by the most diverse minds as the most adequate and thorough avenue to the solution of racial, political and social problems.// The most lntransigeant and daring teachers and scientists have lent then support to this great biological interpretation of the human race. The war has emphasized its necessity.
She wasn't advocating eugenics. She was stating what "diverse minds" were arguing when eugenics was a hot topic. Sanger was not an advocate of abortion, either. Prevention, contraception and family planning was her mission.
Progressives and Democrats are the racists in this country, as they always have been. They started it and do everything they can to perpetuate it.
Most of the Planned Parenthood offices (78%) are located in predominantly black neighborhoods.
---------
Let's see, in Massachusetts there are three offices:
Commonwealth Ave. - Allston
Largely white. This is the one the fringe right winger shot up in a terrorist attack.
Marlborough - largely white
Milford - largely white
Wow … Guttmacher is your source? “Advancing sexual and reproductive health worldwide through research, policy analysis, public education … [and killing babies].” Your view, by the way, is the Planned Parenthood talking point.
According to biographer Peter Engelmann, “As part of her efforts to promote birth control, Sanger found common cause with proponents of eugenics, believing they both sought to ‘assist the race toward elimination of the unfit’.”
So anyway, Craig, thank you for your relevancy, thank you for sanding up for the unborn, and thank you for stopping by to dazzle us with your brilliance.
Is Craig a racist? I don’t know. We report—you decide.
@Ducky:
Are those neighborhoods peppered with Starbucks, generally safer? With the exception of Commonwealth Ave. - Allston....which I'm certain no one dares to go near / visit any longer.
Thank you for standing up for the unborn, Ducky. By the way ... Planned Parenthood. Care. No matter what. Is it just me, or is that a black woman on the header?
Oh, only three? Then what about Boston, Fitchburg, Marlborough, Milford, Somerville, Springfield, and Worcester? Let’s see … one, two, three, four, five, six, seven ….
Do you ever get tired of being full of shit, Ducky?
Well, look at it this way. mustang, Craig sourced his statistics.
Z doesn't provide any source, even WND or The Blaze.
Do you deny that the three Planned Parenthood clinics in metro Boston are not in minority neighborhoods, mustang?
I didn't know there was one in Somerville. Not a heavy minority area, very yupped up.
Allston is Boston you clown.
I picked metro Boston.
Worcester is mixed and Springfield is largely minority.
Doesn't come up to 70% for me but I'll defer to your strong math sense.
From Z of GeeeZ:
Could you please get me a link of any time I've quoted WND (which I DESPISE and had a huge email fight for the lies of Joseph Ferrara or whatever his name is and I turned out right) or The Blaze, which I have never read?
Thanks SO much; Mustang is so freakin' right about you, you irresponsible lying .....
Thanks to Craig and Ducky; Keep standing up for killing babies and keep dreaming that you know better than all of those over the years who do call Sanger for what she was.
From Z;
The fight was WITH the WND guy who saw I'd linked to him saying he was wrong and should never publish whatever it was...he saw it and called me on it and it turned out he was wrong.
I have always warned against reading WND. It's as biased as The Nation and even more stupid in its bias.
Z, nice straw man.
The issue Craig and I both addressed is your unsourced contention that Planned Parenthood clinics are primarily located in minority areas.
Also your complete misunderstanding of Sanger and her primary mission of birth control which went well beyond the eugenics movement.
“The Wickedness of Creating Large Families.” Here, Sanger argues that, because the conditions of large families tend to involve poverty and illness, it is better for everyone involved if a child’s life is snuffed out before he or she has a chance to pose difficulties to its family."
“Birth control must lead to a cleaner race."
She sounds like Hitler.
Z
OK..so we'll just argue and quibble about the damn locations of PP. And parse Sanger's meaning and words.
But totally avoid the subject of abortions, the murder of our most defenseless and a despicable method of "birth control".
I know...I'm a fringe right loon...while you're opposed to capital punishment. water boarding... for pardons for convicted murderers....but Pro abortion ='s murder / disposal / liquidation of a baby.
You know, just when you think Ducky has reached the pinnacle of idiocy, he goes even one more step further on the idiocy scale by arguing “At least Craig sources his statistics” even if they are not statistics at all, but leftist talking points.
By the way Ducky and Craig … being manly men, why don’t you pick on someone your own size? Or if not that, then someone who is actually born …
Too bad neither of these slugs were aborted.
I'll take that as admission, Sam, that z may have misspoke about the placement of planned parenthood clinics.
From Z:
Saying Sanger was not an advocate of abortion after the reams of information on her quotes (half of whole) is like saying Planned Parenthood is really all about cancer screening; good try.
Imp: the location isn't that important but Mustang is right in suggesting so many of the abortions are done on black babies in black neighborhoods.
I just WISH contraception was as encouraged as getting welfare for having having more babies is seemingly championed....
Then when I think of cutting all those welfare mothers off I think of their children! We talked about this the other day. Something BIG needs to be done....but, then, decency and shame have been removed from the lexicon by cultural enablers who seem to get off on cheap sex and "Khloe Kardashian's pregnant! Guess who the father is!"
GUESS WHO THE FATHER IS??? GUESS WHO THE FATHER IS?
And this is not a one-off thing..it's CONSTANT in the news!
Do you all remember we'd have never even THOUGHT of asking if a woman's married when she was pregnant only 20 years ago? Maybe TEN? Is this better?
Is this the message we want for our kids in every damned TV Sitcom? "Oh, that's on CABLE, it's OK," say many on the left. Really? HOw many homes watch TV that's NOT CABLE anymore? geeesh....I'm tired of this stuff...we've cheapened and glorified sex out of marriage and made it more okay for young kids, and that's wrong and we're reaping that harvest.
End of sermon "SAY HALLELUJAH!" (smile) (then tell me how to SPELL hallelujiah!)
Z
And, I even think the skin-tight pregnancy tops have cheapened pregnancy and infants....there is no mystery, no beauty....no SPECIALNESS ..I'm generalizing, of course, I have two new baby boy relatives and would take a bullet for them and so would everybody else in our family, but...I fear this is less and less the norm when we cheapen the idea of having children in so many subtle and not-so-sudden ways. Do yourselves a 'favor' some time and check out the crap Maury Pauvich shovels on his show....I watched it once and I hear it continues every single day... some dumb girl's there who's just had a child , or is pregnant?, and it's like the dating game..3 guys are told they could be the father (or 10?) and they fight it, and she insists, then there's a DNA test....this is the sanctity of birth? Of PARENTING? This is ENTERTAINMENT? They had a FIST FIGHT the time I watched!!
And people watch this!!
By the way, this show's on in Paris just as kids get home from school..translated, of course.
And we wonder why 'they hate us?'
Pauvich a Republican? (I had to throw that in for all the implications, which I believe are correct)
From Z:
Ducky, the correct English is MISSPOKEN in that case, not MISSPOKE.
And I didn't write the article and don't have a clue where most abortion mills are.
Why not pull your ridiculous WND lie about this blog again when you're trying to deflect?
And OKAY,you and Craig win! Sanger didn't encourage abortion when she talked about "snuffing out" the life of a child. Congratulations; I bow to your grasp of the language.
Saying Sanger was not an advocate of abortion after the reams of information on her quotes (half of whole) is like saying Planned Parenthood is really all about cancer screening; good try.
------
Let's try again, z because this topic gets the right so inflamed they can't think straight.
Abortion was only part of Sanger's advocacy for birth control and it was not the major component.
This is a complex, difficult issue and nothing is served by strategies like the ginned up statistics you posted on clinic placement or the attempt to reduce abortion of a non viable fetus to murder.
The battle lines are drawn. They have been clearly drawn for a long time and it serves no value to continue this line of agitprop.
Craig is the poster-child for leftist dishonesty. The Guttmacher Institute is an affiliate of Planned Parenthood. His statistics don't mean anything.
Jim Baker
it serves no value to continue this line of agitprop.
So defending the unborn—the truly innocent, is all part of a propaganda campaign? Ducky, you are clearly a disgusting human being … if you are human.
Let's see, mustang, the Somerville Planned Parenthood is in Davis Square.
Minority neighborhood? No.
You can get a street view of Fitchburg. Right in the center of down town. Missed again.
I know the area of Worcester's. Largely working class white.
So pitch till you win. Maybe z can take a look at L.A?
----------
@z -- I just WISH contraception was as encouraged as getting welfare for having having more babies is seemingly championed....
---
Does this mean you are abandoning abstinence only? If so, props.
-----------
Jack White, when you bend facts and twist arguments it is agitprop regardless of your viewpoint.
The only reason I disagree with this post is that it divests blacks of their responsibility for killing their offspring. No one is forcing them to engage in these activities.
Andie
From Z:
Ducky...You disagree, that's JUST FINE. Absolutely NONE of what any of us has quoted Sanger with is correct, according to you, black children are not targeted...fine! You are SO WELCOME to your opinion....contrary to what leftists do to the Right.
When you start your own blog, you'll well understand how nobody can mention every single exception in any blog post. "the whole neighborhood is mostly Black..Oh, except Maple STreet, the South End, which is largely Hispanic ...oh, and those houses up on Elm Street..the old white ones and the one with the brick front, those aren't Black families...oh, and...ya, but 90% is." No, you can't really do that, DUcky.
By the way..I SO WISH you'd follow YOUR advice to Jack Whyte; PLEEASE. It'd be so much better.
Andie; With what happens in the media and TV, etc., our kids, Black and White, ARE rather 'forced' to engage in that behavior, sadly. What do we expect, right?? TRULY. They're going to see single celebs and others constantly...and headlines of "who's the Dad?" as if DAD is a jerk and "Mom" has done so many jerks she's not sure who the dad really is ....and our KIDS need to know about it!
But yes...people will kill their babies and we didn't intend for our post to mean they bear no responsibility for that.
As an aside...from Barack's home state...
Illinois Leads Nation In People Leaving State
1/24/2014
"People are moving out of Illinois faster than any other state in the country. U.S. Census Bureau data shows that nearly 40-thousand people left between the summer of 2012 and July of 2013. That’s almost four-times as many people that left Michigan during that timespan, the state with the second highest exodus rate. Some experts think the improving economy is allowing people the flexibility to move if they want. Florida, Texas, and California gained the most residents."
I LOL'd at the notion that people are leaving IL because the economy is improving!
Andie
"I just WISH contraception was as encouraged as getting welfare..."
----------
This recalls a conversation a friend of our family overheard when I was a youngster. In the 60's, after the pill and other birth control became widely available, the government pushed birth control clinics in poor neighborhoods under the flag of 'let's give the poor a better life.'
Our friend heard a black woman in south LA (read: poor neighborhood targeted by helpful BC clinics) say to a companion "I don't care what they say. I'm not going for that birth control. There's power in numbers and we gotta make babies!" A very candid understanding, wouldn't you say?
I don't know how broadly her opinion is held in the black community, but it was far from the last time I heard it expressed.
The eugenics movement shifted momentum from the U.S. (good ol' California - and remember 'fitter families'?) to Germany in the 30's where it put down strong roots because authoritarianism is fertile soil for compulsion. It's faster, quicker, and less gentle than all the grass roots efforts going on throughout the U.S. But they were still funded by Rockefellers. And found a warm home back here after the war.
Does anyone think these activists had a change of mind when abortion became a legal tool? Especially when they still have a lot of flag carriers who want to genuinely 'help the poor' that they put out up front.
From Z
Oh, Andie, THAT is RICH~! Truly rich. Yup; nothing wrong with Illinois! 40,000 people just got enough bucks to buy some boxes and a minivan to move to Texas :)
Of course, there are JOBS in Fla and Texas (not so sure about California), but..
Where was that quote from?
@Divine:
"People are moving out of Illinois faster than any other state in the country.."
Hope they're going to NY or NJ? They're Cuomos kind of people, right? Anywhere else they'll wreck and pollute...just like they did to Colorado and Oregon...Ore-GONE.
@Bay:
"There's power in numbers and we gotta make babies!".."
Sadly and statistically it might be to offset the murder rate of 50+ per day of black on black murders?
Craig quoted Sanger as saying: "Today //Eugenics is suggested by the most diverse minds as the most adequate and thorough avenue to the solution of racial, political and social problems.//"
Craig, It is clear from the quote that Sanger was endorsing eugenics. She goes on to cement her endorsement with the words, "The war has emphasized its necessity."
It is hard to blame Sanger for her belief in eugenics, especially since it was a consensus in the medical communities at the time. She was an activist, not a genius.
I don't know about the numbers you mention in your comment #1, but apparently the Guttmacher Institute is all about abortion in spite of the lofty language in their mission statement. Abortion seems to be their primary tool for birth control.
You need to be very careful when quoting studies by biased, private organizations. They tend to be more advocates than scientific. By the way, the link you gave for the study didn't work for me. I would appreciate your linking to that study again.
By the way, was the census data in the study assembled by the US Government or just Guttmacher?
DC March for Life...
Reads these classy comments from the Pro Abortion criminals...
"While pro-life women carried signs like, “I regret my abortion,” “We are the pro-life generation,” and “Conceived from rape: I love my life;”
the 20 pro-choice women carried such classy signs like, “Get your politics out of my pussy,” “I am not an incubator,” and “Dr. George Tiller is my hero,” and identified with the feminist National Organization of Women (NOW).
You can't make this up. All Sarah Silverman, filthy pigs.
Andie, Illinois is just ahead of that right wing heaven, Indiana. Do what ave you established.
Lot of migration from the entire midwest.
Craig, Sorry but your link works. The Guttmacher link to their evidence just gives me an error page.
" census of all known abortion providers in the United
States
, Guttmacher examined the racial ...
Not hard to find about Guttmacher:
"The Guttmacher Institute in 1968 was founded as the Center for Family Planning Program Development, a semi-autonomous division of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The Center was renamed in memory of Alan Frank Guttmacher, an Ob/Gyn and former president of Planned Parenthood, and the Guttmacher Institute became an independent, non-profit corporation in 1977 under the direction of Frederick S. Jaffe.[3]"
No agenda there. Nope, move along folks.
Craig: The link you posted takes us to a pdf that is supposed to show that Z's statistic of 78% of Planned Parenthood offices were located in black neighborhoods is wildly incorrect.
It shows nothing of the sort.
The page you link to does not mention Planned Parenthood at all.
It just mentions statistics about "abortion clinics". I think it is problematic when you post a source that is not a source.
I would like a copy of the Guttmacher study, anyway. I am always interested in the methodology of these almost academic studies.
Hmmm, let's see, Planned Parenthood in New York City.
One office in the Bronx
One in Greenwich Village
One in Chelsea
Zero in Harlem.
Why not try this in areas near you and figure out what a pant load the 70+ stat really is.
Hmmm, they have two offices in Newark but they also have two offices in Stamford.
Is Stamford a poor minority area?
Let's get the party started.
Ducky, it is interesting that you argue about the character of the neighborhoods where Planned Parenthood has a presence. In looking at their clinic locations in the Atlanta area, one got my attention in the suburban town of Marietta.
That clinic is located almost next to the White Water water park. It is pretty much in a business/industrial section, and the area is generally considered to be blue collar territory. Right down the road is a car shop where I used to get trailer hitches welded to my car's frame when I had travel trailers.
As far as a racial classification of the area, take your pick. There are black neighborhoods, white neighborhoods, and Hispanic neighborhoods.
In other words you could classify it almost anyway you want, racially, and it is hard to argue with any conclusion.
It seems to me that the Planned Parenthood folks would locate in places close to their projected demographic markets, i.e., poor people. In Atlanta where black people make up a substantial percentage of the population, you could easily make the statement that the clinic is in an African American area.
I don't think Guttmacher could or would give us an honest accounting of those locations. After all, Guttmacher is all about advocacy, not truth.
Sam Huntington says, "Too bad neither of these slugs were aborted."
Is there such a thing as retroactive birth control for slugs?
Per CNN from the CDC 2009 statistics:
"Approximately 51.2% of women who obtained legal induced abortions were white (including Hispanic and non-Hispanic white women), 41.2% black, and 7.6% other."
Notice the stats group "white" includes both Hispanic and non-Hispanic. But as a percentage, per CNN citing the CDC the percentage of abortions performed on blacks is actually higher than noted above.
Rita said...
Per CNN from the CDC 2009 statistics:
Thanks for the info, Rita. Could you supply links for us?
Per the CDC reported cited:
". Non-Hispanic white women had the lowest abortion rates (8.5 abortions per 1,000 women aged 15–44 years) and ratios (140 abortions per 1,000 live births), whereas non-Hispanic black women had the highest abortion rates (32.5 abortions per 1,000 women aged 15–44 years) and ratios (477 abortions per 1,000 live births). Among the 24 areas**** that reported by race/ethnicity every year during 2007–2009, abortion rates decreased for all racial/ethnic groups. The abortion rate decreased 7% for non-Hispanic white women (from 9.1 abortions per 1,000 women in 2007 to 8.5 in 2009) and 6% for Hispanic women (from 20.5 abortions per 1,000 women in 2007 to 19.3 in 2009) but only 1% for non-Hispanic black women (from 34.6 abortions per 1,000 women in 2007 to 34.2 in 2009). In contrast, abortion ratios decreased among non-Hispanic white women but not among women in any other racial/ethnic group. For non-Hispanic white women, the abortion ratio decreased 3% (from 143 abortions per 1,000 live births in 2007 to 138 in 2009), whereas the abortion ratio increased 4% for non-Hispanic black women (from 481 abortions per 1,000 live births in 2007 to 501 in 2009) and 2% for Hispanic women (from 192 abortions per 1,000 live births in 2007 to 195 in 2009). Data also are reported separately by race and by ethnicity for 2009 (Tables 13 and 15) and for 2000–2009 (Tables 14 and 16)"

No..they're condemned to live their lives as angry progs.
http://0-www.cnn.com.library.ccbcmd.edu/2013/09/18/health/abortion-fast-facts/index.html
President Obama was exactly right. Some people don’t like him because he’s African-American. I didn’t think this was even remotely controversial. But wow. Some of the usual suspects erupted in protest, behaving suspiciously defensive when, in fact, the president wasn’t really talking about them specifically.
Let’s rewind.
In a profile published on Sunday in The New Yorker, the president said, “There’s no doubt that there’s some folks who just really dislike me because they don’t like the idea of a black President.” He continued, “Now, the flip side of it is there are some black folks and maybe some white folks who really like me and give me the benefit of the doubt precisely because I’m a black President.”
Predictably, the conservative entertainment complex lost its collective bowel control and ended up proving Obama’s point!
Fact: there are more than a few people who think it’s terrible that there’s an African-American president. It has nothing to do with successes or failures. I’ll come back to this point.
Doth protest too much, methinks.
You clearly don’t get it. Indeed, while the president has made some mistakes along the way, he’s been routinely assaulted by all sides for almost every reason. On the left, he’s worse than Bush. On the right, he’s a Brundlefly of Mao, Hitler and Stalin. On the left, he’s corporatist. On the right, he’s a communist. Everything from his use of Teleprompters to the Affordable Care Act has been framed as a scandal and punctuated with the obligatory “gate” suffix. Anyone at Glenn Beck’s tree fort ever heard of Darrell Issa? By the way, Shaw did a great blog on this yesterday,
That aside, whether you voted for him or not, it’s an empirical fact that more than a few white Americans who think the Obama presidency represents the emerging Browning of America and the end of white civilization. They believe that this menacing (yet also somehow effete) black guy is unlawfully occupying the White House — a black guy whom they seriously believe to be an Islamic sleeper cell.
Have any of these radio and TV goons heard of Birthers? Would there be such a conspiracy theory if the president wasn’t an African-American man with the name Barack Hussein Obama? Of course not. Would some people forward viral images of watermelons growing on the White House lawn? Nope. Would there have been a man carrying around a Curious George monkey doll, referring to it as “Little Obama?” No way. Would the most popular talk radio host and, somehow, the eighth most admired living human in the U.S. repeatedly refer to the president as a “man-child?” Say it with me: no.
Other than racism, what’s the common thread connecting all of these examples? They all began before the president was even elected, much less suffered any failures that required the so-called playing of the “race card.”
Had the various offended parties actually read more than just the one paragraph, they’d also have read the paragraph that immediately followed it in which the president cautions progressives to not conflate every criticism with racism. But in the digital media age it’s easier to kneejerk into a sweet, sweet outrage coma than to actually, you know, read thoroughly. It’s easy to scold the president for playing the “race card” (as if racial identity is a game) than to recognize that even if you don’t like his politics or policies, this president has been eminently thoughtful, fair-minded and reasonable. And especially in comparison to his predecessor, he’s hasn’t been afraid to admit mistakes and accept blame where blame is due.
Now, to be clear, I’m not suggesting that all Republicans or all conservatives hate the president because he’s African-American, nor do I think they’re all racists. It’d be totally be dishonest to make such a sweeping generalization. But there’s more than enough evidence to prove that among opponents of the president, there’s a faction that dislikes and distrusts the president because he’s not white. Confirming such a reality isn’t about excuse-making, it’s about observable, objective fact.
First time in recent history:
State of the Union address where the president was disrespected, with you “You Lie” President request for joint session denied for Republican Primary debate President linked to either being the Anti-Christ or helping the Anti-Christ Pictures of watermelons on the White House lawn being emailed Pictures of the President family as monkeys Fox Nation Hip Hop BBQ headline when President invited Jay Z Numerous athletes rejecting presidential photo ops Arizona Radio host calling the President a monkey CNN grifter calling the President the food stamp President Repeated references that the President is Muslim Ministers praying for the assassination of the President Repeated attempts to prove he is not a citizen, yet the guy born in Canada is a natural born citizen
There are so many more coincidences that could fill a kindle book. I am sure some people will say, oh the hatred towards the President is because he is one of those evil libruls. To a certain degree, I would say there is a bit of truth to that logic.
Just take a peek at what the teabaggers say about Shaw and her blog just because she is a progressive and tells it like it is!! However, I think if we are truly being honest about the phenomena of Barack Obama, it’s easy to see that some people can not stand the fact that a black guy won the presidency.
Again, I admit that Obama lies. He’s a politician…All politicians lies, but what I won’t stand is that he is called a liar by the exact same hypocrites who lie about the President on a daily basis. They lie about his ideology, his birth place, his birth certificate, his religion, his layolity to America, and now, the way he beat Romney in the 2012 election.
He’s repaired our nation from the damage done by Bush and Cheney.
Is Barack Obama a Racist? No. Conservative racists are just projecting.
Is Barack Obama a Failure? No. Conservative failures are just projecting.
Is Barack Obama a Dictator? No. Conservative dictators are just projecting.
Is Barack Obama a Muslim? No. Obama has been a Christian for decades. Jeremiah was a reverend, not a mullah.
Is Barack Obama a Traitor? No. Conservative traitors are just projecting.
Is Barack Obama a Disgrace to America? No. Most Americans liked Obama enough to give him another 4 years as president.
Is Barack Obama a Marxist? No. The first step of a Marxist revolution is kill all the rich people. Obama hasn’t had any rich people killed yet.
Does Barack Obama hate America? No. Obama loves America. He knows he wouldn’t exist if there wasn’t an America.
Is Barack Obama destroying America? No. Republicans have thoroughly obstructed Obama’s agenda. Any destruction of America currently going on is therefore their responsibility.
Can Barack Obama be impeached? Yes, but it’s doubtful Republicans will try. Their last attempt to impeach a president backfired on them. And there isn’t nearly as much reason to impeach Obama.
Is Barack Obama a usurper? No. He was elected fairly. Republicans usurp the will of the American people by obstructing Obama’s agenda.
Obama is anything but a Socialist. He stands to the Right of Eisenhower and is trying very hard to save American Capitalism from its own stupidity. the racist right call Obama a Marxist, a socialist, a Communist, a Muslim because they can’t call him a Ni@@er! That’s what they mean! They can’t stand having a black in office. that this the cold hard truth
Apparently it matters NOT where the clinic are located, now does it? The statistics prove black babies are being aborted in large numbers compared to other groups.
?man: get your own blog.
Bob, Read my comment. I know 'stang was referring to offices and not all abortion clinics. That's why I wrote.
73% of offices are in rural and medically under served areas.
You think all those rural and under served areas are predominantly black?
I included the abortion clinic data because the post is about abortion and the supposed proximity to black neighborhoods. nothing in this post is true.
Guttmacher is decidedly on one side of the issue but can you dispute their numbers with another source? You can attack the source but can you show their data isn't accurate?
Maybe someone can explain to me why aborting black babies is really PP racism and welfare queens are having too many babies. Those precious fetuses are moochers, takers and thugs once born.
Thank you for your heartfelt insights
Rita, I DO have my own blog, but I just wanted to bless You, and bless all the world with infinite hope, faith and love.
Rita said, "Apparently it matters NOT where the clinic are located, now does it? The statistics prove black babies are being aborted in large numbers compared to other groups. "
My lady, I think you may be correct. I would only add that the clinics need to be in easy to reach locations.
Of course you do ?man. That's why you come here and post drivel that is full of hatred and idiocy.
No one's buying it.
Bob. I have no idea where they are located, but Craig was using some ridiculous site to counter the argument that the abortion industry wasn't actually targeting blacks. Stats prove otherwise.
From Z:
Question Man.....I was wondering ...I've asked you and others who spout that "Conservatives are racist" nonsense (by the way, most of my Black friends are Conservatives..go figure)...
If we hate Obama because he's black and we supposedly don't like his ideology because of that, too, why the heck would we vote for a Black conservative ANY DAY OF THE WEEK? And HAVE?
I have a Black relative I adore...you think I'm RACIST?
It's beneath you to even suggest this and I'd ask you to reconsider unless it makes you feel really good thinking those ugly thoughts. What kind of 'hope, faith and love' do you suggest when you're calling people racist?
Why can't leftists understand that conservatives JUST DON'T LIKE OBAMA'S IDEOLOGY, and race baiting and signing bills without congressional approval, and having bills passed when people hadn't read them, and Benghazi, and Solyndra, and F&F and the IRS and NSA.....I could go on and on.
Do something with integrity, Mr. Obama. SHow you care about ALL AMERICANS, Black AND White, don't jump to racist conclusions before you know the facts...our country's been made fragile in the last 10 years; I hoped you were going to pull us together and all you've done is divide.
Ah, well...what's the point of going on in this comment? Never happen.
I know all the ugly anti-conservative mantras are going to ramp up BIG TIME this year because even the senate is looking like it could go Republican, but please...be civil.
By the way, folks; if this country is SO RACIST, and Obama blames White folks for not liking him...doesn't he realize he was elected with a fairly high percentage and that high percentage has shrunken, meaning folks who voted for him aren't too happy, not that they're VERY SUDDENLY RACIST? geeeeZ :-)
Fringe right syllogism:
Blacks represent a large proportion of women seeking abortions.
Planned Parenthood provides abortions, among other medical services.
Therefore Planned Parenthood is racist.
When that completely breaks down they resort to "thanks for supporting the unborn".
You can keep going if you want to, Ducky ... but believe me, you've already proven how thoroughly idiotic you are.
Question Man:
What an easy turkey shoot. Let's pick one: "Is Barack Obama a Marxist? No. The first step of a Marxist revolution is kill all the rich people."
The first step of a Marxist revolution is to dispossess the rich while they consolidate power. There's a theoretical transfer to the 'poor' to equal things out (so a lot of public talk about helping the poor), but we know it really goes to support the power of the oligarchs instead. Quite a different story that 'kill the rich.'
Sound like anything that's been happening, by the way? Yah. Thought so. Been happening to me and millions of others with Obamascare, etc.
African Americans are over represented when it comes to the number of abortions performed. African Americans are also over represented in four of the major factors that lead to abortions; unintended pregnancies, unstable relationships, lack of contraception use, and low Income. [Source.] Who keeps black women in low income situations? Well, they do for starters aided and assisted by the Progressive movement. Keep those Negroes dumb and pregnant, promise them Obama phones, and they’ve vote for nitwits like Obama every single time.
Craig, thanks for the reply. I cannot say anything knowledgeable about Guttmacher's statistics unless I can get information on how they determined what was in which neighborhood. I would appreciate any link you can get for me with relation to this study.
You see, when you look at Planned Parenthood offices/clincs in Georgia, it is pretty obvious what their location strategy is. Ease of access seems paramount.
For example, there are three in the Atlanta area. One in downtown Atlanta and it is served by MARTA which has buses and trains to bring people in from anywhere in Fulton and Dekalb county.
However, the other two are in counties that voted against MARTA, and are not served by the MARTA system. Way back when MARTA was created, citizens of both Cobb and Gwinnett counties were against MARTA for racial reasons.
Now, each of those counties has its own transportation system. In Cobb County, the Cobb Community Transportation System uses buses to get anywhere in that county, and they interface with MARTA at downtown Atlanta MARTA rail stations.
Gwinnett probably does something similar.
The reason I am going on and on about this is that it doesn't make any difference whose neighborhood the clinic is in. They are located in places where public transportation is available.
However, the only other two locations in Georgia are Augusta and Savannah. These cities have large population of African-Americans with 54% in Augusta, and 55% in Savannah. Alanta is the fourth largest majority black city in America with a black population of 54%. None of these areas are considered rural or undeserved medically.
If undeserved and poor is the target of Planned Parenthood, there are dozens of other places in Georgia in need of additional medical care.
Since the CDC's numbers say that abortions are more common among African-Americans, it seems to me that Planned Parenthood probably performs more abortions on black women and therefore concentrate their efforts in the black community.
Yeah, Sam, they noticed that the fringe right is all for available contraception like the morning after pill.
Anyway, the number of abortions is declining and the number of unintended pregnancies is declining. I imagine you attribute this to abstinence only counseling. Right?
By the way, if you are 27 years old today, then one-third of your generation is missing.
Where did they go?
They were the 55 million lives aborted since 1973. If anyone thinks that this is no crisis, or if it is simply about the right of a woman to decide what she will do with her own body, then there can be no question of why the United States of America is a social cesspool.
Find a microbe on Mars and it's LIFE!
Find a baby in a womb and it's a lump of fetal tissue.
Heard that on the Bennett show today.
Craig said, "Those precious fetuses are moochers, takers and thugs once born."
I didn't detect the sarc font.
I must assume he is a racist.
The great news is that the young are beginning to go less and less for the ugly concept of abortion.....kind of surprising to me.
Oh, and Ducky, I think "thanks for supporting the unborn" is honorable...I'm so so proud to be on what you call "the fringe right,"...man, to be on the side of killing is just not my style.
Odd that a child IN the womb is considered ripe for killing, but one second outside the uterus, and if there's a medical crisis, it's "GET THE DOCTOR...GET THE SPECIALIST..>QUICK!"
odd
Rita, Add this to the party ?
Food for thought
@Duck:
"the number of unintended pregnancies is declining.."
Really? From 75% to 74.5%?
IMP, Plus we must realize, 84% of all statistics are made up on the spot.
There is no real value in sniping at one another over this issue. We know all we need to know about the kind of person that would abort their child. We know all there is to know about people who perform abortions. We know all there is to know about the kind of people who defend women capable of aborting their children, and their enablers. We also know all that we have to know about Margaret Sanger and the evil of the progressive movement. What I don’t understand is why the American people continue to put up with this disgrace.
I urge everyone to follow Ducky’s link and you will conclude, as I have, that the graphic is very revealing. Had I not followed Ducky’s link, then I would continue to harbor the misconception that Ducky is reasonably intelligent. I suspect that what attracted Ducky to this graph was the little red dots, which I admit are cute … but beyond this, the graph as presented in the link, makes no substantive argument whatsoever other than 5% more women get abortions in Western Africa than in North America.
Gee Kid. Thanks for a good cry.
I read word for word the entire Grand Jury report on Gosnell. If anyone can read that whole thing and still believe the abortion industry isn't about anything but money, they are indeed crazy. To read about agency after agency ignoring the poor that were being abused in that clinic and many others was about the worst thing I have ever read.
He even joked about how large one of the babies born alive was before they "snipped" the back of his neck, inserting scissors and severing his spinal cord.
Something to the effect of the boy was "big enough to walk me to the bus stop".
And even worse? He would still be practicing if he hadn't decided to become a pill mill also.
He was only stopped after being arrested for providing illegal prescriptions for drugs. And according to the GJ. Report, he was not alone in his quest for extremely late term abortion.
I'm with Dr. Carson. I believe the reason the number of abortions is going down is because of technology. We can now see, like Kid's link shows how very human those precious babies are.
What I find most appalling are those that claim to be Christians AND pro abortion.
If that is your stance, someone needs to explain to me EXACTLY when God decides to give a fetus a soul.
@Imp --- Really? From 75% to 74.5%?
----
Come on Imp, you can't possibly be intimating that 75% of pregnancies end in abortion.
This must be some stat you got from Sam.
Rita, There was a much better one that described when the baby was observed responding to music and other outside stimuli and a lot more information provided that you'd have to know how young the fetus would be when it was "alive".
And Good God, live birth abortion. Who with any percentage of a sane mind can't conclude That isn't murder. And the people who perform it are satan on Earth.
steven tyler of areosmith had one of his early girlfriends have a live birth abortion. such a POS and like so many other POS's rich beyond words.. If this is who God gives money to I don't want too much of it.
Sam, Yes, I expect duck to post a link comparing hitler and Mother Teresa as equal someday.
duck simply has kaka for brains if in fact brains are there.
@Duck:
I understood "unintended' to mean the same as illegitimate?
Interesting fact.
There is a very liberal successful Hollywood actor (who portrayed a President in a TV series) who is so staunchly pro-life that he could not bring himself to vote for Obama.
Anyone have a guess who it is?
And why is he is pro-life INCLUDING rape and incest?
Imp.
Unintended = illegitimate.
Maybe not.
I was unintended. 4th and baby of the family.
Unintended means "not planned". My mother was not thrilled to find out she was pregnant again. Now I'm her favorite. ;).
@Rita:
"We the people must stop allowing ourselves to be manipulated by those with agendas that do not include regard for the sanctity of life."
Awesome statement.
Sorry Rita, Outside of Revolution and Ghost Mine, I haven't watched a TV series for decades.
As an aside, I think it's interesting what a person can observe without they constant din of mind controlling programming saturating one's brain. Or maybe it's me. I tend to focus on what is on the TV to the exclusion of all else, and to my wife's discontent if I'm in front of a blathering boob tube. Especially if objects are moving fast and things are blowing up.
@Rita:
Thanks Rita but I think all illegitimate births are unintended. If not then why not prevention? Or maybe with the bonus they get for having more....they're intended?
Confusing.
Just to be clear, Imp is quoting from Dr. Carson's article.
Imp. This one is even better.
". Attempting to characterize love and compassion for human life as a “war on women” is deceitful and pathetic. "
Kid, have you seen Lone Survivor yet? Or Captain Phillips? Either should hold your interest. I have to say Captain Phillips had me on the edge of my seat from the first moment to the very end.
LS was good, just not as riveting for start to finish.
Imp: "Thanks Rita but I think all illegitimate births are unintended."
illegitimate births are defined as without benefit of marriage, right? MANY women make this choice, Imp; you know that. They're not unintended. What about the welfare moms who have babies for the money we pay them?
What about the celebs who think it's chic to bring children into the world without the security and comfort of a two-parent family?
Z. Do you know the actor I was referring to?
@Rita:
Thanks...sometime I need the schooling.
/sheepish
@Rita:
Martin Sheen?
Rita, Movies, No not yet.
Rita, I've never seen Lone Survivor...I don't watch TV other than TV news, food channel, QVC and a few other things..Oh, and lots of old movies.. and old sitcoms on the Me Channel...I mean OLD like Mary Tyler Moore and Dick Van Dyke.
And Frasier and Everybody Loves Raymond. They are SO funny and make me happy!
Sorry...
Rita, I just saw your email about the celebrity you're quizzing us on!
I think Imp's right...MARTIN SHEEN? I know he's a VERY staunch Catholic but liberal as it gets ..I'd be REAL surprised if Sheen didn't vote Obama, tho!
Duckys here said...
" Food for thought"
Ducky: Apparently you didn't do much thinking about your link. It is just a graphic that shows a trend line probably achieved through a univariate (one variable) regression. Big mistake.
First of all, you betrayed the simple idea of articulating your point and using a link as only backup to your point. Instead, you used a practically unreferenced graphic that has a questionable origin.
I know that you are an artsy/fartsy guy, but that does not relieve you from being intellectually honest when linking to a quantitatively based source. You MUST articulate your point to show that you understand what you are doing. Just linking to another web page to articulate and prove your point is intellectually vacant.
So, what does the graphic purport to show? It supposedly shows a trendline/relationship to abortions and liberal abortion laws. If you had done further research, you would understand that the author names the lack of abortions in some countries as the problem of access to birth control.
The real trend line has more to do with the wealth of countries than the laws in those countries. Those more wealthy countries are naturally more liberal than poorer and more backwards countries that depend on the Koran for their social laws.
Imp wins the prize. But the reason he is pro-life isn't so much about his religion.
It's because his wife is the unintended "consequence" of rape.
Pretty hard to stand on the leftist side of abortion when the person you love was born because of a rape.
I was honestly shocked when I heard that he was so pro-life he would not vote for Obama. Gave me just a bit of respect for a small portion of Hollywood's elitists.
@Rita:
Yea...and whats's my prize??? I knew Sheen was kind of an enigma in real life. Some of his movies though, like Apocalypse Now and Falling Down...were brilliant. His kids are nuts except for Emelio though. Do you know he was born...Ramón Gerardo Antonio Estévez...Mexican ancestry and very Catholic.
Rita, never watched that show, but I'd have never guessed Martin Sheen anyway.
I've sung with Ramon Estevez; I believe he's the youngest of the brothers and he is SO 'real'..BIG lover of country music; not the best singer (i had to sing with him at a recital of my coach, who was his instructor) but I think he had potential.....Very nice guy.
AND; One day, I was working on a song that's actually a male solo called EMPTY CHAIRS AT EMPTY TABLES from Les Miserables, and who should walk in but MARTIN himself...for a voice lesson! He was early!! YIKES! I got a bit freaked, then just dug down and finished the song and he was terrifically complimentary...but I have to admit it scared me a little more than singing for 1000 civilians :-)
Lone Survivor isn't a show, it's the movie out now about Marcus Lutrell, the Navy Seal who was the only survivor in his group in a battle in Afghanistan.
Captain Phillips is the Tom Hanks movie about the ship cargo captain that was kidnapped by the Somali pirates and was rescues by the navy seals.
Martin Sheen was the president in the TV series West Wing. It was a very well written show that was terribly left wing, but good TV anyway.
Rita, Martin, I know!
Lone Survivor...right; I forgot that was the title.
By the way, I was laughing so hard; the other day i heard that lefties hate LONE SURVIVOR so they're saying it's WAR PROPAGANDA...I couldn't help realizing "Wait, they ALL DIED BUT HIM...that's PROPAGANDA? THAT sells war?" To WHOM, other than muslim jihadists or Kamikaze nuts? :-)
Knowing full well how the truth doesn't matters to teabaggers when they want to fester:
FactCheck.org:
Q: How much of Planned Parenthood’s services are dedicated to abortions? Does the federal government fund those procedures?
A: Abortions represent 3 percent of total services provided by Planned Parenthood, and roughly 10 percent of its clients received an abortion. The group does receive federal funding, but the money cannot be used for abortions by law.
http://www.factcheck.org/2011/04/planned-parenthood/
That's the NUMBER of abortions, not the dollar amount.
Notice that BIG number up there also which refers to "emergency contraceptive kits".
Just what EXACTLY do you think that is?????
That's abortions! Yeah, they don't "fund" abortions with tax payer dollars. RIGHT.
You are so incredibly naive, I'm not surprised that your parents still have to support you.
Rita, imagine? And they really believe Planned Parenthood's 'stats'...and no tax dollars go to abortions!!!
The hilarious part is that some stats say that about 3% of PP's services go toward cancer screening in many of their offices!
"emergency contraceptive kit"...and he STILL doesn't get it?
;-)
Maybe the facts of life allude him?
Rita and Z, Emergency contraceptive kits (Plan B or "morning after pill") are not abortifacients. By definition, contraceptives prevent pregnancies. You can't have an abortion without a pregnancy. Once a fertilized egg attaches to the uterine wall, the pill (which is a dose of hormone) has no effect.
School us on the facts of life, Z.
I would appreciate any link you can get for me with relation to this study.
No, Bob. I was refuting Mustang's 78% claim, ridiculous on it's face, with the Guttmacher study. Yes, they are pro choice but you haven't produced a shred of evidence that they are dishonest. Why do you require me to provide you with links to methodology and whatnot and expect nothing to back up 'stang's nonsense?
Do your own damn homework and have something on my desk by Monday morning.
Last time I checked Craig, this was Z's blog, not yours. If you want to start giving orders I'd suggest you do that on your own turf.
Craig provided his “sources” which turned out to be an instrument of Planned Parenthood. This is not a problem for me, as it appears that the answers to the questions we are discussing are polarized by our own biases. What is a problem for me is that Craig, who I regard as an intellectually dishonest slug, attempted to conceal the fact that Guttmacher is a useful idiot of Planned Parenthood.
Here is a study conducted by a pro-life group, which does appear quite extensive and grounded in empirical data. [Source].
The study tells us that 79% of Planned Parenthood are located in minority areas within the state, according to zip codes and Census data collected in 2000.
The study will not convince anyone who is in favor of killing the innocents to change their opinion. Craig and those who share his view are far too immoral for that, and while I know that such people do exist, I simply do not understand how they can live with themselves. Conclusions: Progressives are shit.
No, Rita...you're right, but let's talk about Craig's comment;
An EMERGENCY contraceptive kit,...when would that EMERGENCY be? Some night when a girl is at a bar wants to come home with the guy who's been buying her drinks?.. do they drive to the nearest PP at 3:00 am to pick up an EMERGENCY Contraceptive kit?
Or do they get one in advance and have it on hand...but wouldn't that then just be referred to as contraceptives and not EMERGENCY because you had it with you.
What constitutes EMERGENCY? :-)
The study tells us that 79% of Planned Parenthood are located in minority areas within the state
What state is the state? I read the study from top to bottom and even using their metric of proportionality as opposed to your use of predominance (words mean things), it isn't 78% (or is it 79% now). The closest I could find is their use of a hypothetical scenario where they come up with 83%.
Z, As best as I can tell, emergency differentiates pre and post coital contraceptives. It doesn't change the fact that it is a contraceptive and not an abortifacient. Rita is wrong.
Your blogging partner doesn't just think I'm wrong or misguided, he thinks I'm shit, excrement, feces of some sort. I don't care, it says more about him than it does me. Klassy, gang, real klassy.
@ Craig (aka Pajama Boy)
If you had bothered to open the link, you would have found states listed in Charts 1 and 2, beginning on page 5 and ending on page 21 —suggesting that my assessment of you was correct.
Of course YOU are the moral authority as to what is and what is not an abortion, right Craig?
And you did not address the fact that PP's claim of 3% is NOT based on the dollars, only numbers. Those numbers represent BABIES killed. Nice bit of deception, normally companies report the dollars and the volume. Surely even you know the difference between volume and dollars.
Or maybe not.
So, instead of helping....
These Five States Have Spent More Than $3 Million Defending Anti-Abortion Laws;
http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2014/01/24/3202001/states-abortion-laws-budgets/
A biased progressive site is complaining because five states are defending the babies from being murdered?
Too bad it isn't all 50.
Of course YOU are the moral authority as to what is and what is not an abortion, right Craig?
It's not a moral question, Rita. You said ECK's cause abortions. Even if you believe life begins at conception, you are wrong. If you understand the English language, contraception is the opposite of conception. There is no conception if Plan B is taken and it is effective (it doesn't always work). It's not that difficult.
I didn't say anything about PPs 3% claim. What does money vs.volume have to do with this? If you are implying federal money is being used for abortions, there are 2 possibilities. Since PP receives fed money, they are under close scrutiny from members of Congress who would love to shut them down. The Hyde amendment prohibits funding abortions. They are either the worlds most cunning money launderers or, the simpler explanation, they don't use federal funds for abortions.
Mustang, I did look at the tables. Nothing there to indicate anywhere near 78%. If being able to read and understand what they show makes me shit, so be it.
If PP's goal is to eliminate the black race they are doing a lousy job. PP started in 1916 when % of blacks was ~9.6. It is now 12.6%. Your concern for black fetuses might have some credibility if you gave a damn about born black babies or Latino babies or poor white babies.
You want the state to force women to carry to term then they're on their own. If they need help, screw 'em, they're takers.
Just what I thought, you don't know the difference between volume and dollars.
Your smug attitude is just is darned endearing Craig, perhaps that why Mustang called you what he did and then you cry like a little girl about it.
Come back and comment once you have read every single page of the Gosnell's Grand jury indictment and then tell me just HOW you progressives are helping the poor. There was overwhelming evidence agency after agency, the wonderful "women's rights" types of agency you like to support completely ignored every complaint made by those poor women. They don't give a damned about the poor or the women, they line their billfolds on the backs of the poor.
Read THAT before you respond back to me. Otherwise you are just another scum bag who talk the talk but have never walked the walk.
Obviously your conscience is clear about abortion because you have none.
http://www.phila.gov/districtattorney/pdfs/grandjurywomensmedical.pdf
"There was blood on the floor. A stench of urine filled the air. A flea-infested cat was wandering through the facility, and there were cat feces on the stairs. Semi-conscious women scheduled for abortions were moaning in the waiting room or the recovery room, where they sat on dirty recliners covered with blood-stained blankets.
All the women had been sedated by unlicensed staff – long before Gosnell arrived at the clinic – and staff members could not accurately state what medications or dosages they had administered to the waiting patients. Many of the medications in inventory were past their expiration dates."
THIS is what you progressives are defending. This is how YOU treat poor women.
"Even using conservative estimates, the amount of money that Gosnell took in every procedure night is staggering. If he did 20 first-trimester abortions at $330 a piece, and five 19- to 20-week abortions at $950, he would take in $11,350 a night. Similarly, in the later years, if he performed 10 first-trimester and 5 late-second-trimester (23 to 24 weeks) abortions a night, Gosnell would still take in $11,425. And that does not include any of the illegal abortions past 24 weeks for which he charged much more, or the profits he made by selling additional anesthesia a la carte to first-trimester patients.
This amounts to nearly $1.8 million a year – almost all of it in cash – assuming just three procedure nights a week. (Testimony indicated that he performed abortions from about 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., three nights a week – for a total of 15 hours.) In light of the testimony we heard that Gosnell performed the really late third-trimester abortions on Sundays, his take was likely much higher. "
Not about the money, right? Gosnell was just providing helpful services to the poor women of his community.
Something tells me Gosnell is a progressive.
sometimes I wonder why I bother to give information in comments.
My statement re; 'emergency contraception' was so easily understandable I wonder how it got lost anybody's mind?
And, Craig, as far as Mustang's name calling? WOW...
I've seen some of your commenting elsewhere and I'm wondering if you consider those 'klassy?' :)
If you don't like it here; go. Thanks.
Z, craig is one of those perpetual student types (tho he's probably just a liberal/democrat tool) who put all their eggs in the ramblings of people with letters after their names and not enough common sense or life experience to choke a gnat. Then pollute the blogosphere with the idiot 'findings'.
Personally, I don't play. It's like the global warming people. If you play the game on their terms, which means refuting the junk science put out by "duh sci en tists" there is no way to win. The 'science' is faulty - but it's the perfect scam, it can't be proven, and it can't be disproven. Because it won't be Revealed for another 20 years. How coinkydink. Just like the fricken ozone that the corporations used to cancel a low profit product in favor of a high profit product. Not much new under the sun when it comes to snake oil salesmen.
Fact is, abortion is rampant among the poor. The people too stupid to invest in contraceptives, or too desperate for an 18 year old husband to want to use them even if they were free.
All you have to do is look around and talk to people in the real world to know what's going on.
