Sunday Faith Blog

Matthew 6: 31-34

31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
I know most of you know this verse.  I hope you're all blessed by it today in some relevant way that's special only to you.  Many of us are worried about so many things these days and action helps, but worrying never does, does it.

Have a worry-less Sunday!  Practice not worrying.....it's a good thing!  Make it your 'favorite day' every day.

Z - This is such good Scripture - worrying does no good. If you can't do anything about a situation then it does no good to worry about it. God will take care of us - no matter what the situation. Sometimes it doesn't seem like it - but He does.

Hope you have a good Sunday.

You know, there is so much that is wrong with our country right now and I cannot help but suspect that these troubling times are a warning from our Heavenly Father … to change our ways. We can start that process by reading the bible. Your post today reminds me that there is no reason to fear discovery for (fill in the sin) if you’ve been working hard to avoid sin, for with sin comes worry. So thank you for these Sunday faith posts, Z … and yes, today is my favorite day.

Sue, same to you. And yes, worrying absolutely does no good. We can take worries and activate solutions; putting our faith in God first...then get out of the way!

Sam, that means a LOT to me. "with sin comes worry," what a profound thought. I really think that's so true, thanks!
I am so glad you enjoy these Sunday posts...

Sam, check out Psalm 18, verses 20-33 really hit on some of what your sentiments are, I think.

Good post, Z. Once again, I get a blessing from your Sunday faith posts.

If we spend all out time worrying about everything there is to worry about, we can never get necessary things done, including taking care of people who need help.

These things are easy to say, and that it why it takes faith to live that life.

Have a great week.
