Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

A complex man. I think he was a brave man. What do you remember best about Dr. King?
BZ has an article from Bloomberg.com about Obama saying his ratings are low because people don't "like the idea of a black president." Don't look now, but they liked the idea enough to elect him, didn't they.
This makes me grieve for Dr King. And I'm surprised Obama would go this far because people don't approve of him. Just plain don't approve of HIM, not his color.

Germany ...the truth from a German; future America?
They also want to pass laws that would transfer the sovereignty of unlimited financial powers to Brussels with a clause that says this can never be stopped!!! (Z: more familiarity?)
The (educated and interested) people are pissed big time that the established parties (from Die Linke (THE LEFT), the Greens, SPD and the formerly conservative CDU) are doing everything they can to sell out and destroy Germany absolutely on purpose with the unrealistic hopes of trying to save the Euro, with a major lack of reality in general and with the awful massive immigration we have now.
Some are writing that there will be a civil war in the future when even the dumbest people realize that they have been framed by the people betrayers call politicians and parliament. Actually I think this is not so far fetched.
Even (a friend) Walter who studied social pedagogy (a study of which usually brings people automatically to the left) recently said that he expects major trouble in some time and made remarks that really surprised me. Whenever I said something against immigration and the crooks of politicians he always stood up for them. Obviously, he has changed his mind to some degree which I consider almost a miracle because he was so far left.
I told my uncle to blow his money for things he enjoys - it won't be worth anything soon. At first he denied it, now he agrees to it. He has the same opinions like we do and he only watches the left on TV because what's always on is the leftist, politically correct media. It really speaks well for him that, in spite of the TV he has to watch, he has sensible opinions because he reads and hears between the lines, somehow getting to the truth in spite of the left's mainstream media. (Z: enter conservative blogs and COMMON SENSE?)

Newt's Ex Wife.........
Is that fair?
Obama's grandmother said he's born in Kenya......Obama's aunt and an uncle are illegal and on the dole in this country. Any big network interviews with them during his candidacy? There might be other examples with many other presidents.....got any?
I honestly don't mean to pick on Obama ... I'm just wondering if there's precedent with interviewing a spouse with an obvious (probable?) ax to grind days before a very important primary.
Who's behind this? Leftwing ABC? WHY?
You tell us! Thanks.......

Romney seeking employment....media on the alert
Mitt Romney to voters: ‘I’m also unemployed’
by Holly Barry...for Yahoo! It's a line that's sure to come back to haunt Mitt Romney.
At a campaign event in Florida today, the 2012 Republican frontrunner met with a group of unemployed workers who talked about their challenges looking for jobs in the struggling economy.
After they concluded, the former Massachusetts governor suggested he should tell his own "story," according to the New York Times' Jeff Zeleny.(another article's in that link)
"I'm also unemployed," Romney replied, with a smile.
The comment was clearly meant to hint jokingly at Romney's bid for the presidency, but it was also an odd statement coming from a candidate whose financial situation is so far removed from his audience's. A former head of Bain Capital, Romney is said to be worth at least $200 million—wealth that has enabled him to concentrate on running for president full time for the better part of the last five years.
But Romney's audience was in on the joke. According to Zeleny, the group "chuckled" along with Romney, with one man asking, "Are you on LinkedIn?"
Z: Are we really this sensitive now? And do we allow leftwing columnists to set the mood and the tone? Both Miss Barry or Mr Zeleny mentioned how the crowd chuckled good naturedly with Romney at his comment about being unemployed but both imply this was problematic for him. REALLY? When the group there, in the context of the moment, didn't find it troublesome? Isn't it a joke? They know what employment he's seeking......they know he doesn't need a job.
We need to be careful when we read these things...........but, are most Americans? I think not.

Debate Musings........
First, CNN's John King became the Joy Behar of politics; he was almost twitching to get them to be quiet and I was distracted by his constant "but...but............but...alright...but..." the second anybody went over a minute. How can any substantive response happen in one minute? It was like a Miss America contest.."What do you think the world needs!?" they had about enough time for "World Peace!:-)" The questions asked of presidential candidates deserve at least two minutes, don't you think?
CAIN: As usual, he was pretty vague. I'd like to hear a little more solutions and less his never-ending overview of "first we have to define the real problems".. SO, define them, already, we had little time for you to speak but we were listening. (I also like thin crust pizza better :-)
BACHMANN: As you must have heard, she announced she is running tonight. She was calm, cool, confident, and knows her stuff. She's also optimistic; one of the most striking attributes of all the candidates tonight was optimism; nice to hear, for a change. I thought she scored big points tonight and that the audience liked her a lot.
ROMNEY: I thought he scored points pretty effectively when he responded about Obama basing his health care plan on Massachusetts ... Romney said "why didn't he ask me what Massachusetts did wrong?" that hit the mark. He got the fewest questions and seemed perturbed by that.
PAWLENTY: Missed some really good opportunities in which to set him apart. He wimped off the Obamney Health care thing, etc. Not good. But, I think he's very bright and very, very sincere and, sadly, that sincerity can sometimes come off as too eager, a little unconfident, and I don't think he's that. I liked his Right To Work stance and how he explained it.... His cringe quotient is a tad too high still....but I liked him tonight. (I like Coke more than Pepsi, too!)
SANTORUM; Confident, informed...great answer on illegals. I'm first generation American, too, my mother is such a proud naturalized American citizen that I used to say that she made our house during the Bicentennial year make the White House look unpatriotic. I mean, she had Americana everywhere. (even too much for ME ;-) Santorum is well spoken and has good values and had some smart answers.
RAND: Had a lot more fans than I'd have thought in the audience, especially regarding his foreign policy. That surprised me. I think a lot of Americans are just about done with the Afghanistan/Iran situation. He said a very stupid thing, in my opinion, when he suggested marriage should be a church thing and not a government thing; how the heck do you ignore the fact that so many legal situations arise from marriage; like ownership of real estate, taxes, inheritance. I'm not a fan, but I didn't think he's utterly unthinking...and that seemed really dumb to me.
GINGRICH: I thought he scored points on having questionable people in an administration at the White House. I don't think he's very confident because he's constantly sneaking furtive looks at the audience; that surprises me. He did well tonight, especially considering that he'd dug himself into quite a hole lately. But, ...there's 'ick' factor there for me. A high cringe quotient....trying to hard. (check out the image above)
THIS surprised me...Britain's TELEGRAPH calls the Palin email frenzy as "enhancing her reputation" as “idealistic, conscientious, humorous, and humane,” Interesting. Score one for her. Who knew?
Rich Galen just emailed his subscribers and disagrees with me on Bachmann; hated her answers and thinks she ought to get her application for president back. He thinks Romney won because he was softballed questions, etc. He completely agrees with me on the John King style...and how they only had one minute for such heavy material.

Disheartened? I sure am
Tuesday night, I watched two minutes of Anderson Cooper on CNN where he did a story ridiculing candidates saying anything they want, getting caught, and then saying "what I said was 'out of context'" ..For examples of this, he used 3 Republican candidates and Rod Blagojevich, as if they're all similar people (Clever and cunning on Anderson's part, huh? CNN in campaign mode. Does the DNC pay the liberal media?)!
And, Tuesday night, Meg Whitman got booed for not agreeing with Matt Lauer that informing Californians about Jerry Brown's shortcomings in office over the last forty years is "negative campaigning!" !! And Brown gets cheered for saying he won't run negative ads after all he's done to Whitman ("the whore" and illegal employee hirer).........what?

Feeling DEJECTED about politics?
I don't post LONG ARTICLES much but, TRUST ME, YOU could have written this and it'll MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD that someone ELSE GETS IT THIS WELL:
By Quin Hillyer for THE AMERICAN SPECTATOR: (Z: by the way, I had this ready to post and then heard Monday morning that Obama is now saying that those people fighting for the AZ law (I guess he's specifically picking on Gov Brewer now) just "want to make a name for themselves." If that doesn't make ANY American feel dejected, when your president suggests those who are fighting for what they think is right are just trying to 'make a name', then I don't know what would
Here is Hillyer's article:
I really don't know what to write. We have a president who is so divisive that two longstanding pollsters of his own party write that "President Obama's divisive approach to governance has weakened us as a people and paralyzed our political culture."
We have columnists for major newspapers who are so nastily partisan that they fail to do even the most basic of investigatory requirements before sliming good, honest, decent Americans such as Justice Department whistleblower J. Christian Adams.
We have congressmen so eager to play gotcha that they try to blame former presidents for failing to do a constitutional duty even when the well-reported facts are that the operatives for the president of the congressman's own party unwittingly were the culprits in the supposed problem at issue. (Yeah, you won't know what I'm talking about; that's why you absolutely must read this link.)
We have a major congressional committee chairman who has conniption fits about not being given a $1 senior-citizen's discount, but who won't apologize for costing taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars by refusing for years to reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. (He also didn't seem too exercised about his boyfriend running a male prostitution ring out of his own basement, but that's another story.)
We have writers for publications respected by the "mainstream" media who are so vicious and dishonest that they would suggest randomly throwing around charges of racism without a shred of evidence -- a charge made the more despicable because one of the named victims of the smear happens to be one of the nicest, most decent people in all of Washington punditry or politics.
We have a national debt exploding so rapidly, by deliberate design of the president, that one almost believes he is trying to implement the Cloward-Piven strategy of manufactured crisis. Cause a political and economic cataclysm; use it as an excuse for radical executive orders and proto-martial law; that sort of thing. Again, I did say "almost." But we are getting to a point where it almost doesn't matter what the motivations are; the reality being created could have the same effect whether by intention or by autocratic reaction to the fruits of the leader's own incompetence.
We have a president who may as well have declared war on my home state. Or on the whole central Gulf Coast.
We have a speaker of the House so cynical (or batty) that she says we must pass a bill first in order to know what's in it, and a majority leader so accustomed to railroad jobs and internal autocracy that he actually makes fun of the idea of requiring that congressmen be allowed at least 72 hours to examine bills before voting on them.
We have Supreme Court nominees sailing through despite saying that genetic differences might make Latinas better judges (Sotomayor) and despite openly flouting the law to harm military recruiting in a time of war (Kagan), and despite wanting to rule that the Constitution forbids states from keeping currently incarcerated rapists and murderers from voting (Sotomayor) and despite manipulating both science and the law in order to keep the barbaric practice of partial birth abortion legal for another decade (Kagan). (Sorry, readers: I'm tired of providing links, but Google these things at the Washington Times and you'll find them.)
I could go on with other bad news, but I'm tired. I'm dejected. I'm disgusted. I'm furious. I'm disheartened and disillusioned.
I want fair play and integrity and intellectual consistency and common decency from all points on the political spectrum. But those attributes are not as prevalent on the right as they should be, and it seems they are almost nonexistent on the left. I don't mind honest and respectful disagreements; I am sickened by vicious attacks without substance.
And, dear reader, I assume you agree. I hate writing all these "I" sentences (yikes: I almost sound like Obama!), so let's make this about you. What are you going to do about all this? What do you want to see happen? How much do you care about your country and your community?
If you are reading this, the answer to the questions in the last sentence is probably "one heck of a lot." You care. You have aspirations for communities of freedom and comity. You want to stop all of these political horrors, and you want to stop cultural horrors not even touched upon here but that could take pages and pages of exposition. You want to believe in America. And, dare we say it without sounding too pie-in-the-sky, you want to do what Ronald Reagan said all good Americans want to do: "to dream heroic dreams." And to work to make them reality.
So get to it. Keep up your activism. Talk to your neighbors. Volunteer at campaign headquarters. Contribute financially to candidates. Make phone calls. Go to rallies. Write thoughtful and concise letters to the editor. Help register like-minded voters. Drive elderly or infirm like-minded voters to the polls in November.
Get involved and stay involved. For the sake of your country, your loved ones, your future. Our future. Together. As Americans. Go do it. Now.
Quin Hillyer is a senior editorial writer for The Washington Times and a senior editor of The American Spectator. He can be reached at Qhillyer@gmail.com. (thanks for the tip, Ron)
Z: 8:00AM Tuesday morning: I just watched CNN for a few minutes and want to take my hat off to Alan Chernoff, who did an excellent job ON CNN warning about Obama's desire to repeal the Bush tax cuts....he carefully showed how damaging this will be to most American families and included how their having less to spend into the economy will bring LESS income into the federal government...I've got to give credit where credit is due. Good job, Chernoff.

Senator Bunning's 'finger' and Texas' Governor Perry's backside.....with a COMMENTARY SECTION suddenly needing your input, I promise.
"Bunning doesn't like Democrats' version of a bill to temporarily extend unemployment benefits, subsidies of COBRA insurance and many other things because he wants to pay for it with unused stimulus funds. More than a million Americans long out of work will exhaust their benefits starting Sunday. " What is wrong with paying for it that way?
Have you heard ANYWHERE on TV that he wanted benefits paid by unused stimulus funds? I haven't... I'd started thinking he was a heartless bum when I heard the media treatment about this! We now learn that he just wants stimulus funds, gazillions of them that haven't been spent, to BE USED! What's wrong with that? There's more from the article:
"The bill Bunning objected to also included a temporary extension of the law that allows satellite television providers servicing areas without network affiliates to broadcast network service from different areas. " REALLY? Is THIS where YOU want YOUR hard earned tax dollars going? Isn't this a good place to CUT? GeeeeeeZ!
UPDATE from THIS article that came out late Tuesday night on Yahoo: "Bunning wanted to force Democrats to find ways to finance the bill so that it wouldn't add to the deficit (Z: that's a bad idea?), but his move sparked a political tempest that subjected Republicans to withering media coverage and cost the party politically. Bunning's support among Republicans was dwindling, while Democrats used to being on the defensive over health care and the deficit seemed to relish a battle that could reinforce their argument that Republicans are bent on obstruction of President Barack Obama's agenda at any cost." Who knew an HONEST journalist could come out of Associated Press!? Kinda nice!
It should also be mentioned that the internet is agog with how Bunning supposedly flipped off an ABC interviewer, but every video I see has no such thing...."he did it before the cameras rolled," says the journalist, "when he was getting into the elevator." But, elevator video shows no such thing. Ah well, the ABC journalist has complained and America believes it. UPDATE again: A friend emailed this morning saying she saw coverage of the Bunning situation on the cable news and NOBODY mentioned that he was simple looking for the stimulus dollars to pay for it....nobody, including HIM. Are editors cutting film? Was he warned to play ball with someone? WHO? WHAT is going ON?
GOVERNOR PERRY of TEXAS snatched Kay Bailey Hutchison's run for governor out from under her. Gov Perry won pretty handily....Apparently, he had done a dandy job of painting Hutchison as just another Washington insider, one of the people who's got us in the mess we're in now...hammering that point home for weeks to Texas' vot
IF ANYBODY DOESN'T REALIZE THAT HIS PRIMARY WIN AGAINST HER, HAVING BEEN WON BASED ON HER WASHINGTON INSIDER STATUS, ISN'T YET ANOTHER NOTCH IN THE BELT OF THE REPUBLICANS WHO WON NEW JERSEY, VIRGINIA AND MASSACHUSETTS ELECTIONS ONLY WEEKS AGO ON BEING 'ANTI INSIDER', or 'ANTI STATUS QUO", THAT 'ANYBODY' ISN'T PAYING ATTENTION. Governor Perry's win should be more proof that DEMOCRAT WASHINGTON INSIDERS ARE IN BIG TROUBLE............and a few Republicans, too, I might add? Don't you agree?

The Phantom is angry!
Z: I woke up this morning and I am so upset with Congress and this Obama Healthcare Disaster I could hardly sleep last night. What I am really upset with is the American public. When are they going to say enough is enough? Where are the baby boomers, out golfing or fishing? Where is AARP, I thought they had horse power? This to me is just nonsense. How about a few common sense items? Leave the damn healthcare system alone as it is, it is the best in the world and works for most of us. If you want to help the 47,000,000 non-insured people and all the illegal aliens, then spend your time and money on creating a new system for them. There was a system created for the veterans of the military, so expand this system or create a parallel system. You could call it Medicare clinic and hospitals systems. Keep the damn illegal aliens out of my hospital emergency room, let them go to a special clinic built and operated by the Federal Government. Sure they deserve health care of some level, but I pay $1,230 a month for mine. I am willing to continue to pay this monthly amount. I worked hard my entire adult life and this is one of the perks for working hard, you get a better level of care. Why is this simple concept so hard for people to understand???? Take the billions and billion of dollars to be allocated for a restructuring and create a new health system to address that portion that has a problem, don't bring a good system down to help the masses and average things out.
Another idea, nobody wants to go to medical school and come out $250,000 in debt and then get destroyed because the cost of insurance and business goes up every year and the income from Medicaid and Medicare is not adjusted. So, make a deal with motivated people; the government will pay for your medical school, you will owe nothing when you get out, but you will be required to work 5 years at a decent salary in one of the Medicaid clinics or Medicaid hospitals. I guess something along those lines is just too creative and logical.
Everyone in this country is suffering because Congress has no financial discipline and gave out credit left and right to people to purchase a home and a disproportionate number of those people simply were not credit worthy. People had phantom equity, so they went out and took out second mortgages. Prices fell and people walked away, leaving the tax payers again to pay the bill. Congress screwed up with Fannie Mae and Freddy Mack, then we pay the bill to clean up the mess. What is wrong with this picture? The people that created the mess need to step up and be accountable. Every time I see that horse's ass Barney Frank on the television I start looking for a brick to throw. Seems like
The end of the story is simple; Obama is and always will be a radical liberal and he got elected because he is a rock star, not a rocket scientist. Naturally, the republicans had a great chance for tort reform under Bush and did nothing so the legal system is still out of control and part of the high cost of medical service in this country. Bush was a train wreck in my humble opinion. Unless this country gets term limits and until there is a balanced budget we are on the path of disaster and in my humble opinion the end is now in sight. I wonder how Ted Kennedy would have fared under Obama's new plan? 465 pages to the plan and they are trying to pass it before anyone reads it.
There are endless stories about Bernard Madoff and his ponzie scheme. Congress is running the biggest ponzie scheme in the world, they were just smart enough to pass laws to allow them to do it. Makes me ill to watch what is happening to this country. I have been writing letters to all the people in Government here in the state of
Z: Well, Phantom, I agree with everything you say, which is why I asked if I could publish this here. I will add, however, that the number of uninsured includes at least 12 million ILLEGALS, so that's to be considered. Regarding AARP, GREAT point.....WHERE are they when you consider that one part of the bill will make a law saying government people will come to the homes of the elderly every 5 years to advise about 'options' in your later healthcare...if you're old and need cancer therapy, "have you thought of just riding it out with pain killers and no chemo or radiation? Those are expensive and you're so old you'll die soon, anyway." AARP goes for THAT or any mutation of that? And, by the way, I know a LOT of doctors who came out of med school with huge debt and they're rich right now, so that story's getting a bit old and needn't be dwelt upon, either.............but, I'm not averse to your idea at all. Some of my readers will find this too liberal; Comment away, folks...The Phantom can take it ! What do you all think of his ideas and opinions? Thanks, readers... and thanks, Phantom!

Matt Rose....No longer an Obama fan..........
There's a Democrat commenter named Matt Rose who came by and said 'hello' this morning on my Sunday Faith Blog. Click HERE for his blog, A Voice From The Left. I'd never heard of him before, but I sure have now and I'm so glad I did. One of his fellow Dems challenged him on his having said he doesn't support Obama anymore.........Here's Matt's response:You have never figured out what I am about?
Why, because i supported Obama in the election and I DARED to say that I have many doubts about him and his policies NOW?
Because I dared to have some regrets about him now? Well Truth, I have some news for you old buddy, I am not a kool-aide drinker or am I a blind follower of ANYBODY! Not for Liberals like myself or republicans or to anybody else. Yes I do have some doubts about Barack Obama now, MANY doubts. You questioned me because of what I wrote about his idiotic interferance to the Professor Gates and the policeman story! Well I still believe he was out of line and that he was wrong to put his big mouth into a situation that the president of the USA should stay out of.
I think that his Health care bill is a disaster as are so many of his other bills. And I disagree with is decision on closing Gitmo. Look at what he has done on an issue-by-issue basis, generally speaking Americans are unhappy with what Obama is doing on a host of issues. As am I. None of it makes sense.
So maybe I WAS wrong in supporting him! So maybe I don’t support him any longer. So what? Am I a traitor because he fooled me? I have only one short life and I kinda like to live it the way I want. Not the way some socialist wants me to. Yes I do think that he is a socialist and that we are headed down that path, and I for one do not like it. And it’s not only me that thinks that way, Obama's approval rating are plummeting daily. If you can’t see that then you go right ahead and write blogs about how bad Bush was. But we can not blame Bush forever. It’s time to be honest with ourselves. As citizens we get the government we deserve.
It is funny how everyone here is either pointing fingers at George Bush or Dick Cheney or at Sarah Palin or at Rush Limbaugh, when we should be pointing fingers at us, we Americans. We created this mess we put Obama in office. George Bush didn't and George Bush as bad as he was did not create this mess we are in today.
Christ, how it pains me to say it, and to admit that I was wrong.
Matt deserves a lot of respect for having written this and for allowing me to publish it here on my Conservative site. I'm hoping you all agree with me and that, maybe, you'll send this to friends who also voted for Obama and are having trouble with that choice today. Ours isn't to ridicule, not to say "I told you so"; ours is to help America in any way we can. Democrats and many Republicans have a lot to answer for in regard to the election of Barack Obama. Many of us weren't really listening or we wrote off warnings or we voted "anything but the other guy" or we didn't vote.
Thanks, Matt....I'm glad to have run into you and your blog and I'm proud to publish your piece here.....I hope you come back to geeeeeZ and visit some of the other conservative blogs on my sidebar; we can all learn from people who disagree with us when they disagree with reason and kindness and good information. I'd like to think I had your guts if I saw I was wrong.

Muslims over Christians (or Jews)? WHY?
You might have heard about this, too, though most of the news venues did not carry it: HR1388 passed on June 2, 2009
By executive order, President Barack Obama has ordered the expenditure of $20.3 million in "migration assistance" to the Palestinian refugees and "conflict victims" in Gaza .
The "presidential determination", which allows hundreds of thousands of Palestinians with ties to Hamas to resettle in the United States, was signed on January 27 and appeared in the Federal Register on February 4.
Few on Capitol Hill, or in the media, took note that the order provides a free ticket complete with housing and food allowances to individuals who have displayed their overwhelming support to the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the parliamentary election of January 2006.
Click HERE for the Federal Register Information, if you're curious.
Then there is THIS very troubling information:
Anybody else wonder why Mr. Obama doesn't help the Christians in Muslim countries to come here? They're really facing perse
cution, death, etc. There are 2 young women awaiting execution in Iran (click HERE) for having come to Christian faith. Maybe we should register some political outrage? Or, maybe there just isn't the sufficient outrage. WHY NOT? I know that, though 85% of us are Christians, we're aren't a Christian country (Click HERE), according to Mr. Obama, but..........?!Thanks to Carol for the video tip.

Don't let the door hit ya, Arlen...........phew!
I've been thinking what a very good thing it is that Arlen Specter has been revealed. About everyone watching television news or listening to the radio these last two days has learned that Arlen Specter has so little character that he could run for POLITICIAN OF THE CENTURY and win, hands down (even over Biden or Pelosi or Ted Kennedy, by the way, which is really going some)....This lack of character just makes him FIT the Democrat party better, doesn't he?We all know Franken is still trying to steal the vote from Coleman. I'm sure Franken has great character because he was losing until his impromptu trip to DC after which every vote they found stuffed in Democrat car trunks was, (it's a MIRACLE), his. And then there's that great man of character, Barney Fwank, who had a male prostitute business running in his living room but didn't know about it. And, of course, he caused much of the housing problem we have today no matter HOW anybody wants to spin it. Then there's William Jefferson, whose frozen money still hasn't thawed enough to get him in court. Oh, and Sandy Berger? Highly classified information stolen from archives but he got a slap on the hand. You can see what GREAT CHARACTER Democrat politicians have. Great party. Oh, and Fran Drescher is hoping to run for Senator from NYC as a.........Democrat. Arlen, this quite a bunch of professionals .... enjoy!
So, Arlen joins a long and distinguished line of Democrats..................of little character. Good riddance.
Oh, and imagine if Bush had pulled the $400,000 stunt of having Air Force one flying low over NYC, sending panicked New Yorkers into the streets when it could have been done.........with photoshop? The White House is ........"sorry."

"Bush's Brain", the 'Halliburton war monger', speaks out....
The Left will denounce him and all he said, and they can, because they KNOW that Cheney CANNOT counter attack the denouncements because he can't list details of attacks thwarted by the Bush administration (the reason of which I doubt the left can understand, considering the NY Times' spilling of classified information even when asked and told why it shouldn't be published). Even now, I'm sure someone here will accuse Cheney of lying, accuse him of hyperbole, thereby promoting his causes, accuse him of being an apologist for Bush's administration.
Can you imagine any Republican Press Secretary saying any of the following quote, ever?:
"I guess Rush Limbaugh was busy," Robert Gibbs, Obama's press secretary, said during his daily briefing to journalists at the White House. "So they trotted out the next most popular member of the Republican cabal." (Z: Somebody PLEASE tell Robt Gibbs that half the country (rising by the minute) does NOT agree with HIS basketball buddy, please? That he's just insulted the half of America that IS Republican? Does he really have that elitist hubris that they don't matter? That his bunch is THE BUNCH? That's so sad.)
Who's ever asked the Democrat party who speaks for them and what it stands for? But, we got this from this article..."It followed a speech delivered by Rush Limbaugh last month during which the conservative radio host said he hoped Obama's policies "failed," prompting Democrats to question who speaks for the Republican Party and what it stands for. In his interview, Cheney said of congressional Republicans that "it will take them a while to get their act together" in finding ways to criticize a popular young president." (Z: he didn't say a thing about the popular young president in that vain...nothing about that. They're getting their 'act together' was what every party which lost does. Picture Cheney saying "Ya, the Republicans just haven't got it together yet on criticizing a popular young president".)
Added Gibbs: "I think not taking economic advice from Dick Cheney would be maybe the best possible outcome of yesterday's interview." (Z: imagine the level of incivility? the mocking? Why insult so much? This is a PRESS SECRETARY TO THE PRESIDENT, not ANIMAL HOUSE antics......or IS it?)
The left's set it up perfectly, according to the Alinsky Rules of procedure....you all know that. When security is jeopardized by the Left, (remember the threatened Gitmo closing announcing it to the world without having figured out a safe place to keep murderers, the waterboarding prohibition, tribunals, etc.,) what does a country's people DO? And IF they 'do' something, they're attacked as ridiculous over-fearful nuts who are banding together like the Weather Underground or the Black Panthers but this time it's Conservative so it's mocked. (witness the negativity to Glenn Beck suggesting Americans meet in homes and remind ourselves of our history and talk about the constitution.."HOW THREATENING! Those nasty Conservatives!!"??)
In the name of TRANSPARENCY, in a world where ANY information is spread across the world in roughly two seconds, how can we (literally) survive the Eric Holder/Barack Obama/Sulzberger mentality of EVERYONE MUST KNOW OR WE'RE HIDING SOMETHING FROM THE PEOPLE!?
Do you know what I'm getting at here? They set Cheney up as the last laugh of the administration, "Bush's Brain", etc., so how can Americans sincerely interested in getting to the truth (centrists, independents, etc.) see through the insults and mischaracterizations? Most people drink the Kool Aid without asking.....they spout "Ya, Cheney..Halliburton....pompous...war monger.." It's pure Alinksy , and it's worked. There IS no "Obama....inexperienced...naive..." presented in the media, but the Cheney inferences are always there in overt or the subtlest of remarks on even front page, supposedly non editorial, pieces. Here's Alinsky's No. 5: Ridicule is man's most potent weapon.
It's our SAFETY at stake because of the Left's roadblock to real information, demeaning information from anyone who's not from the left...........and the media's complicit. What do we do? ..pretend there IS no terror threat like some do? Jeopardize the constitution with over-the-top secrecy? OR, stop the name calling, evil inferences, insults at anything the media abhors, keeping reporting REPORTING, not EDITORIALIZING to reflect the papers' viewpoints just to get the shots in to anybody who's not a liberal?
So, if Cheney is RIGHT, and we're not listening..........WHAT THEN?
(By the way, how is David RASPUTIN Axelrod NOT "Obama's Brain"??? and why's that not been discussed in the media? It will. I promise).
