Remember, he was the one in Berlin who said, about 2 short paragraphs into his speech....
"I know that I don't look like the Americans who've previously spoken in this great city. The journey that led me here is improbable. My mother was born in the heartland of America, but my father grew up herding goats in Kenya. His father -- my grandfather -- was a cook, a domestic servant to the British." ....... Maybe he meant he's taller? Thinner? naa....you know what he meant.

Advantage Obama. One thing we know about McCain is that Saint John had a wee narcissism problem , increasingly it seems that unless IT'S ALL ABOUT HIM he's going to cry and scream and send his surrogates out to throw tantrums.
Obama holds a rally in Berlin that attracts more people than McCheese has attracted all year and McCheese is angry.
Now Obama has one huge ego himself but he has an advantage over McCain. Unlike McCheese, Obama is smart and cool on his feet. McCheese can't understand why he can't just say "Hi I'm John McCain and did you know I was a POW" any longer.
Gonna be a big explosion pretty soon as John continues to discover he's irrelevant. Look for the campaign to get real dirty and McCheese gets more unhinged as Obama stays unflappable.
There's no question Obama wouldn't be where he is today, if not for his ethnic makeup. He'd merely be on par with John Edwards, otherwise, if even that.

I personally don't see anything but patriotism and incredible STRENGTH in McCain's POW days, not the kind of experience needed to be president(I know conservatives disagree with me, but that's how I feel)...Ia previous experience enough of us aren't hearing about, he went back into a burning plane to pull out comrades.........but being a POW, in my book, or saving people, doesn't make for presidential material.....it says a LOT about the guy, but ...
At least he has SOME EXPERIENCE in the senate though..years of it. Obama? imagine people thinking he's ready to lead the free world? For thinking folk, it's a laughable proposition.
McCain's experience does, however, show he loves and will fight hard for this country. So far, I've not seen that ONCE from Obama..any compliment's followed by "but...we need to CHANGE that (thing I just said I LOVE)" GO figure. Kind of like when he basically implies "The surge isn't working and since it did work, we should get out", right? (my quote, but....true)
Re: BERLIN, Ducky...What Americans don't know is that Berlin attracts crowds on any lovely, rare, warm evening, particularly if there's a free concert beforehand, which there was. Also, there are no more socialists in Germany than in Berlin. The German press is saying a lot of the crowd was due to the big name acts beforehand...NONE of our media covered that. And, there was food and beer served, but not by the Obama folk. This was a happening. The lackluster applause was telling.

Fascinating that, as much media coverage as he's getting over McCain *(and leftist pundits are agreeing that's true), they're pretty much neck and neck. It's bizarre, really..I'd never have expected this. I figured there were enough Americans who have been taught to hate this country, taught we should be as mediocre as all other countries, that we should be entitled to the rich supporting those of us who don't want to work, enough Blacks who don't think but kneejerk vote for their color, enough Jews screwed up enough to think Israel doesn't count, enough tree huggers to HONESTLY believe we are such scum we deserve to pay for China and India's emmissions!, enough bleeding hearts who think ANYBODY should be able to steal themselves into our country and force us to support them.... ..well, most of us could go on and on with that list, couldn't we.....Ya, I thought there were enough of that kind of thinking Obama's numbers would be 20 over McCain, but.....not close.
CNN had a segment on MTV "Rock the Vote" ("VOTE OBAMA" is the other name, of course!)> they did show a young woman say she's voting for McCain. The other young woman they asked said this.."OBAMA! And all I have to do is get a fake ID to vote cuz I'm 16".
ya....I don't think McCain will lose legally, Ducky....I hear too many stories. One's about a friend who worked 35 years in South Central LA in an eye doc's office...only Black clientele...Every voting year, Doc would ask "So, Esther...did you vote?" "Oh, sure, Doc....they came to my house to show me how to vote on the absentee ballot they helped me get a month ago!." or "Sure, they come to our old age home and show us who to vote for !" nice, Ducky...the Left is going to win this way. Being a POW for 5 and a half years, being a commisioned officer in the United States Navy , which teaches leadership, that is not enough experience?
Taking off and landing on ships in the ocean..well.

I would say that this makes the man over qualified for president.
The leadership learned in the United State Military is so awesome, I can't begin to describe it.
McCain is not perfect, and was not my choice but he is really what a Commander in Chief should be.
And further more , I am glad his campaign has come out said what it did about Obama playing the race card.
For years, I have heard Conservatives complain about Republicans not going after their opponents , not being tough enough on them, not calling them on things. So, one does and people complain.

WV, I didn't say that the leadership skills aren't a good thing, I said I didn't think being a POW was necessarily something that prepares a president...Never have, never will.
The leadership that's taught is fantastic, no doubt about it.

Obama even accused McCain of something like joking about his name....WHEN? NOBODY is asking WHEN but the conservatives..the msm doesn't tell the truth..it's like the race card thing. Obama started it....McCain reacted, and the msm is saying McCain slams Obama about the race card! Unreal.
While imprisoned, it seems John McCain also served as "minister" for the men, meaning he led them and offered strength and comfort.
And offering one's life is one heck of an offering , for a country.

I just don't agree, WV.....I didn't want Huckabee, either..he might be a great minister, but.......
I admire McCain's service at least as much as the next person, but I have never thought military sacrifice alone (putting military-learned leadership aside, which I DO thinks help prepare for presidential leadership or anything else!) is preparation for the presidency.
