Merry, Blessed Christmas..........

From that first night...............and all that night has meant to Christians around the world and in America...

To the faith of Americans in their homes and churches............

To faith in the American town square and all the good things that brings to us.......

Dear Lord,

Please protect the Christian faith of this great country, America, and around the world. Please continue to allow us to celebrate the birth of your Son every year on future Christmas Days. Please help our government to continue to protect Israel and please bless our Jewish friends who mean so much to us. Please protect American shores, the heartland, and our fellow Americans, especially our fighting Americans, around the world at Christmas and always. We ask you to continue to richly bless us and remind us of what's most important every single day of the year and to keep the spirit of Christmas with us every day.
We ask this in your Son's name. Amen.

To all our wonderful friends here at geeeeeZ and in the marvelous corner of the blogosphere we're all lucky enough to occupy, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

The top of Mr and Mrs. Z's tree .... God and Country!! (photo compliments of Ms Z!)

We also wish you could all be with us tonight for dinner!

It's Christmas in America
There's carols in the air
The snow is falling on the ground
There's holly everywhere
The people they're all different too
Their troubles put aside
They smile a little brighter
It seems at Christmas time

It's Christmas in America
Let the angels sing
It's Christmas in America
Let freedom ring
Let peace resound throughout the world
Especially on this day
It's Christmas in America
God bless the USA

The kids get so excited
Preparing for the day
Their letters to Santa have all been sent
The cookies have been baked
The creche under the Christmas tree
Awaits the baby child
It seems to mean so much more this year
Than it has in a while

Because it's Christmas in America
Let the angels sing
It's Christmas in America
Let freedom ring
Let peace resound throughout the world
Especially on this day
It's Christmas in America
God bless the USA

So keep your babies close tonight
Hug your husband, kiss your wife
Be thankful for this way of life
We're fortunate to share
And not forget the ones we've lost
Their memory lives on in our hearts
They'll be forever in our thoughts
And always in our prayers

Unto this world a child is born
His gift was meant for everyone
The light of peace shines on and on
And never fades away
America, America indivisible we are
One nation under God
And that will never change

Because it's Christmas in America
Let the angels sing
It's Christmas in America
Let freedom ring
Let peace resound throughout the world
Especially on this day
It's Christmas in America
God bless the USA

It's Christmas in America
GOD BLESS THE USA!

His birth is a miracle. His love is our gift. His day is a time to rejoice!

Let us rejoice in all He has given us and love one another as He loves us.

Merry Christmas.

The birth of Jesus was a fulfillment of the prophecies of ages, and foretold, “The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.” (John 1:9).

Merry Blessed Christmas Mr and Mrs Z

Happy Christmas, dear Z! You always have set a beautiful table, and I do wish you'd publish some of the terrific menus you've shared with me in the past. Such wonderful food combined with so much imagination and flair!

I have always envied your guests, and have often wished I could be among them.

Your husband is a fortunate man, but I think he knows it.

And now we must look forward to a GLAD New Year no matter what. Just being alive --- even under adverse or trying circumstances is a great thing --- God's Gift to all of us.

Best wishes for this Christmas Season --- and always.

Mr. and Mrs. Z,
I hope you had a Merry Christmas and best wishes in the New Year. As an aside, our priest played a song on his electric guitar in church today. My brother looked at me and said, "Things are different from when we were kids." My mother and I thought it was cool. It led right into his sermon. It made me jealous that I didn't think to do it in history to get the kids going. I'll just have to stick to playing other people's music. Peace.

Thanks, everybody...you are all blessings!

FT...I will include my menu IF everybody else comes and gives theirs....I LOVE hearing about food traditions!

We started with my cheese/filo triangles and pate and cocktails before Church with cocktails ....then went off to Church so I could do my Jazz rendition of Mary, Did You Know? and a duet of LITTLE DRUMMER BOY!!

Then we all came home and mr. Z pulled out his stuffed goose (stuffed with ground beef, pork, all kinds of herbs and spices and bread and prunes), then my potato latkes, and red cabbage! (VERY German!) OH, and a butterflied pork tenderloin in which I smeared apricot chutney and then lay inside a layer of dried apricot and pitted prunes and rolled and tied...

Then I'd made individual cheese cakes (in muffin tins, who knew? VERY easy recipe and loved by all..anybody want the recipe, let me know!) and my graham cracker/Chocolate dessert nobody eats without asking for the recipe!

So, everybody..tell me your menus!! xxxx
