Sunday Blog; Happy Easter Sunday! (and an Easter Rainbow)

I wish you a very Happy Easter with all the commercial fun thrown in!

Bunnies, Peeps, flowers, ham or lamb, colored eggs.....speaking of eggs, HERE is a fun Armenian custom well explained, something I grew up with and will undoubtedly participate in tonight after dessert! (nobody actually eats the egg after the cracking, some leave them at the hostess' and I suppose a few take them home for the next day).

Christ died and rose for us and Easter is such a happy time to celebrate that greatest gift EVER GIVEN ANYONE.

I think He'd want us to enjoy this Sunday so have fun!   But, please remember His sacrifice and His love!  It truly is a "Glorious Day".....

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!  In his great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."  1 Peter 1:3
This is a rainbow photographed this morning by my nephew in Northern California....Beautiful way to start Easter Sunday!

Happy Easter / Happy Resurrection Sunday!

Interesting Armenian custom.

In the homeschool group, I've seen this game played at some of the socials, but the eggs aren't dyed -- and it's not Easter season, either.

Today we celebrate the best Gift ever -- our Redeemer's victory, which gives us eternal life.

A blessed Resurrection Day to all here!

BTW, Z,
I did manage to locate my most treasured Easter decoration and placed it on display: a wooden bunny carved by my dearest aunt back in 1980. As you may remember, this beloved aunt of mine passed away in 2010 -- the last remaining family member of my parents' generation.

Had you not mentioned Easter decorations is a previous post, I'd never have thought to look for that bunny!

Happy Resurrection Day!
How interesting that on the day so much of the world is celebrating the resurrection of Jesus whom Ceasar's proconsul Pilate had put to death, Google is celebrating the birthday of Cesar. Cesar Chavez.

Happy and Blessed Easter to you.

Someone told me...

"Don't dye the Easter eggs,

They are easier to hide in the snow that way."

Ha Silly but made me smile.

thanks, everyone!

AOW, I put a few painted eggs out, too...hollow, of course, but beautiful.
I'm glad you found your bunny!

I love the expression "He is risen, indeed" because I always think of it also as "He is risen in deed" :-)

Debbie, good one about the white eggs :-)

Happy day, everybody! Thank you for your good wishes...

Darth, thank you...
By the way, do you not have a blog anymore? I simply don't understand that CIRCLE thing. Is there a blog in there somewhere if I do the CIRCLE (which I won't because I'm not too into social networking other than my blog)?

I was locked out, but now I'm found.
LOL

Bunker...thanks, same to you.

Sue, you're right. Are you partial to jelly beans? :-)
I hope you're having a wonderful day.
I wish I'd made hard boiled eggs because they'd be in an egg salad sandwich right now if I had :-)
Church was stupendous today...really terrific.

Darth...I don't get it! What IS the CIRCLE and does that lead to a blog???

Bunkerville, I feel really badly I can't comment at your place; don't think I don't occasionally read your good posts.
I get on your site and it remembers me with all the details it asks for and I type a comment and it will not post. I tried 3 times just now. NOTHING.
WHY? It remembers my info!! but, nada!
I tried to type under REPLY because I think that worked in the past, but that isn't working, either.
You're not on moderation, are you!?

It's googles social network, google plus. You join his circle of friends.

L&O...was by your blog the other day. I hope you start blogging again.
Happy Easter to you, too, my friend. You're missed.

Ed...I think that "friend" think of Circle and Facebook is creepy. The more 'friends' the less people are in true contact, I fear.

Google saw fit to celebrate Cesar Chavez's birthday today. I guess they couldn't find anything else to promote today.
