Goodbye, John Wooden........

You were a very good guy........you'll be missed by UCLA alumni and everyone who ever knew you or of you. Rest in peace.

John Wooden, a great coach. So great that it was impossible for anyone to fill his shoes after he retired.

His Bruins were disciplined and exciting. Winners year after year. They won ten NCAA championships.

And their secret to success was coach Wooden.

Rest in peace coach, and God keep you.

Thanks for the memories.

One of only two men in the entire world that I would address as coach.

Z, Mr. Pris and I were huge fans. We loved those teams and the kids that played on them.

Wooden was very special. He focused on character and fundamentals with his players, and they reflected that.

He was a true motivator for those young players. They not only wanted to win, but, I think because they respected him so, they wanted to please their coach and gain his respect for them as well.

One fine Christian man. Reminds me a lot of one of my heroes, Tom Landry.
