Sure, we ALL know Arabs are dancing about the fact that Democrats are keeping them in the oil money, but there are other things happening in America that Arabs/muslims ought to be delighted about, don't you think? They just bought the Chrysler Building, just to name one thing..................there are more.
Help me list them! grrrrrr ...

I just now heard that British women seem to be turning to abortions as a form of birth control, some having 8 abortions.....the muslims there can't be sad about that! Not with the white 'Christian' population dying like it is. Heck who needs beheadings when the Western world is committing self suicide, right?
Another reason for HAPPY MUSLIMS!?
z, i know i'm in out-numbered territory here, but i must ask. who's to say the george bush and his cronies aren't in bed with the arabs and making plenty of oil money themselves? this sale of the chrysler building is happening under bush's administration, is it not?
*cringing, she waits for the verbal blows*

namaste,
I was very critical of Bush and the Dubai ports deal. I don't think oil money goes to Bush, but neither party has figured out that the House of Saud is not our friend.
http://amboytimes.blogspot.com/2006/02/bushs-unsafe-harbor.html
I agree with Namaste ... George Bush has completely disregarded the advice of President Washington. Every time I see him being led by the hand by a Saudi prince, I want to puke. It is embarrassing to me personally, and I can only imagine the guffaws by other world leaders. I'm sure that behind the scenes, they refer to our President as "Little Georgie."
The problem isn't that the Muslims are engaged in capitalistic enterprises here in the US ... so is China and a host of other countries. The problem isn't that thousands of Muslims are attending American universities and learning how to build nuclear weapons, and how to destroy an economy. No, the problem is that our government is allowing these things to happen.
And this is what happens when the only people this country can produce as leaders is Clinton, Bush, Gore, Kerry, Clinton, Obama, and McCain. I fear the worst, actually ... and I know it my heart that we're bringing it on ourselves.
Namaste (m!)...I am SO sorry you got agreement here because i don't want to blow your mind TOO much as a Democrat!! (SMILE!)
But, seriously, folks....you're ALL RIGHT! If I see Bush KISS an Arab and HOLD HIS HAND again, I will... puke.. sorry, but...look...
I'm not sure the Chrysler Building sale has ANYTHING to do with Bush (HOW?), but I SURE HATE IT. AND I feel that it's a symptom of this crappy economy brought on by greed, stupidity and naivitee (none of which I believe are Bush's fault, either..or Republicans, frankly...) WE ALL SHARE IN THIS RESPONSIBILITY. We're in TROUBLE and so we're selling chunks of OUR COUNTRY one piece at a TIME!!!
I will say I firmly believe our lefty media talked us into an even MORE horrid situation with the economy. Over the last year, before we knew this nightmare would be upon us (or before I KNEW, I'm NO economist!), I kept hearing the good economic news stats but the newscaster ALWAYS threw in a "but..!" And I'd think "BUT?" what do you mean "BUT, that's no guarantee of a good future" or "BUT, those numbers were better LAST YEAR"...WHY THE BUT? Let us BE. let us be optimistic America and we'll SURVIVE>
Give us a media who can't STAND America as we know it, and we're in trouble. Throw in a presidential candidate who I have never heard say ONE THING glowing about this wonderful country and we ARE SO DONE.
I have to run for a few hours..carry on!
And, Namaste, I'm so looking forward to your TUESDAY MORNING ANSWER to your question at your site and I hope others go to read it and the other comments!
See you all later.
Absolutely!
It sickens me physically when I see our President begging like a dog from the Saudis table while the Dems hold us back.
WE SHOULD BE SELLING surplus oil to other countries, dammit! EVEN AFTER whatever 'alternate energy' we decide to use!
Hell, for all I know, the left is getting their talking points directly from the House of Saud each morning.
That about sums it all up!
Thought I'd drop in and say Hi. I just read the comments so feel I should inform you that yesterday President Bush approved offshore oil drilling. Suddenly, just because of that one act, oil has dropped $10.00 per barrel. Not a lot to be sure, but better than having it rise $10.00 per barrel.
Z, you're right. Aborting ourselves out of existance sure would make the Muslims happy, wouldn't it?
Well, Namaste, the only terrorist group that wants to topple the Saudi royal family more than Al Qaeda is their ideological allies, the Democrat Party.
As far as making money in oil, that's virtually impossible for Americans to do, as American oil companies are rather unique in the world - they don't own the oil they refine, and therefore don't have any control on price whatsoever.
Want to take down the owners of American oil companies? Blow up a retirement home.
The vast majority of American oil companies are owned by shareholders in 401(k) plans and pension accounts.
Not many conservatives are happy with Bush any more. He lost me first with his continuing the Road Map policy toward Israel, and then lost me completely when he called Islam a "religion of peace." I've never suspected him of any of the corrupt motives such as greed for oil money that the left accuses him of, however, just naivete-to- stupidity, as others here are saying. Islam is not our friend and if he does have some hope of improving our oil prospects by friendship with Islam, he's terribly misled.
TMW hasn't yet come to point out God's judgment in these things so I will. In the history of Israel, which was "written for our admonition," says the New Testament, inept or corrupt leaders are one of the consequences of sin. Mustang listed some of ours.
The kingdom was divided and the ten northern tribes were ruled by a succession of corrupt kings because of the sins of Solomon. Sin begets sin until the nation is destroyed. The southern kingdom was preserved by God only for the sake of David to whom He had promised a kingly line forever (which of course we know to have been fulfilled in the Messiah Jesus). Leaders who hate us is another judgment (Well, the Democrats hate America and if we have an Obama Presidency we'll fast see just how hated true America is, but McCain will also be an instrument of God's judgment, no way around it).
Strangers among us who acquire our resources and take away our produce is another judgment of God on an erring nation.
Muslims, Chinese, learning from us, using us in order to destroy us, it all fits. If we had stayed in God's will as a nation they would have come to learn our ways and used them to improve their own countries, but since we haven't they are here as covert enemies.
If we had stayed in God's will we WOULD be selling oil to other countries, and everything else.
A hostile media is another example of the enemies among us that God promises as judgment against a nation.
A deteriorating economy is big on the list of God's judgments against a nation that flouts His law.
You can find these things and much more in Deuteronomy 28 and Leviticus 26 as well as in the history of Israel, and in the judgments spelled out against the heathen nations of that time too.
The consequences of abortion in the takeover by foreigners is also God's justice, and England is already under heavier judgment than America is, with their hostile Muslim population just waiting to put them all under Sharia law. This is what happens when a Christian nation abandons the true God.
Abortion brings bloodguilt on a nation, which God will punish. As the blood of Abel cried out from the ground so does that of the aborted babies, and scripture is clear that God will avenge the blood of innocents.
Why are we so stupid? Why don't we read our Bibles and know these things? The ONLY ONLY cure is repentance and turning back to God. Otherwise all this is just going to get worse and worse.
The worst isn't here yet. Still time to wake up.
CJ..thanks. TMW covers a lot of the more faith-oriented subjects on her blog. I think you have that address..if not, she's on my blogroll and she's doing excellent articles right now on this very subject of God's displeasure and how we will suffer.
She writes well and I encourage you to take a look and even participate!
BUT, I sure do appreciate your input here, too!! DO NOT GO ANYWHERE FOR VERY LONG! xxx
I may check her out, Z, but I've been writing about these things for years at various sites and I'm also writing about them on a blog of my own I've been having trouble getting up and running, so that's where most of my energy goes.
Great comments. I think the attitude towards Israel has been Bush's greatest downfall; the Arab buddy-buddy is a side issue of that. While I think either Hillary or Obama would make Bush look angelic, Bush has really sold out the conservatives in more ways than we realize. As he has gone down in the estimation of voting Americans, he's taken the conservative movement down with him and crippled our chance to mount much of a resistance to the odious Obama. As for making the Muslims happy, even the very fact that there's the possibility that the person most likely to be elected at this point was educated in a Muslim school is enough to have them dancing for joy, no doubt.
Two things occur off the top of me head:
1. Like it or not INTERNATIONALISM is here to stay. This has been brought on not so much by the hated UN as by hugely successful and ultra-powerful business tycoons. Since the West has been trying to tax itself to death by adopting Marxist policies, the business community has had to protect and defend its interests by going abroad where costs–––so far–––are infinitely cheaper.
Also, new MARKETS in semi-primitive, semi-evolved countries help bring in the ONE and ONLY thing business lives for–––increased PROFIT.
This is just reality. "Business," as they say, "is business." It's naive to imagine for an instant that business is primarily ALTRUISTIC in nature. It is not; it is EXPLOITATIVE–––and that's just as it SHOULD be.
Only when business is PROFITABLE can societies AFFORD to be altruistic.
2. Why would highly intelligent, highly evolved people want to bring CHILDREN into the world after enduring the hideous nightmares of the last hundred years?
If one stops to THINK of the manifold horrors life can–––and too often DOES–––inflict on innocent people, having CHILDREN seems almost like MORTAL SIN. (I'm trying to explain the European and Russian mindset not defend it necessarily.)
We here in the USA have never REALLY been touched by the storm of war, except during the one entirely unnecessary DEATHFEST inflicted on us by Abraham Lincoln.
Yes, hundreds of thousands of our young men have been killed, blinded and crippled overseas, but since 1865 we have never had to see our children smashed to pieces before our eyes, our mothers raped, our fathers tortured, maimed and cut to ribands in our front yards. We have never had to see thousands of our homes strafed with machine gun fire or whole streets bombed to rubble. We have never had to endure seeing our crops and factories set ablaze. We do not know what it is to have our infrastructure and supply lines bombed nearly to extinction.
We have never been herded into Concentration camps. We have never know what it is to STARVE.
We have never known what it is to be forced to wander across the land with nothing but the clothes on our back and shoes full of holes–––or no shoes at all–––with no money, no job, no shelter, no food, no prospects.
Vast areas of Europe and all of the former Soviet bloc experienced all that and worse. Is it any wonder that faith in God all-but disappeared and that a pacifist, hedonistic, live-for-today-only attitude developed after all that? I find it perfectly understandable, myself.
We are so incredibly NAIVE in this country! Most of US think we are being seriously inconvenienced and ill-treated if we can't find our favorite brand of ice cream at the supermarket, or we can't afford to buy our kids the latest moronic status symbol in footgear or trendy clothing. We think we are deprived and find ourselves almost in a frenzy of frustration and self-pity, because we can't afford the latest in new cars with all the bells and whistles attached, etc. etc, etc.
We whine, we bitch, we moan, we lament, we often curse, but as a people, we do not have an inkling of what it suffering is really like.
I am not in the least eager to know firsthand this level of threat and challenge, but ALL of us need to take stock and thank God for the many many blessings we DO in fact possess.
We also need to spend more time imagining what it would be like to be in the shoes of those we criticize and condemn so glibly.
~ FreeThinke
FT..who are we condemning so glibly? I agree with much of what you say, but that snagged my brain...??
Z,
I wasn't referring to anyone HERE especially, but I have heard and read a great deal of criticism and condemnatory remarks about the white race not doing its "duty" by having enough children to replace and expand itself.
This may be true, but the reasons or rationale I outlined are true enough and quite compelling. I feel the European peoples (including the Russians) have been frightened and disheartened into adopting a policy of mass voluntary extinction.
We talk blithely of the necessity–––even the desirability–––of war all the time. I'm pretty sure if we'd seen it up close and personal as Europe did, we might think as they do.
Too bad they imported the elements that have polluted and thus imperiled the civilization they built–––a cultural heritage I revere.
This idea that all people are the same and perfectly equal at root is sheer insanity. You can't put a Primitive Savage, a New York Socialite, a Christian fundamentalist, a Mormon, a Catholic Priest, a highly-educated Atheist Intellectual, a Russian Peasant and an Illegal Alien from Mexico in the same room and not expect to have conflict.
And all of this says absolutely nothing about ASIA.
