Why can't McCain make every speech about his differences in policy from Obama?
Our friend Michael G. Miller sent me this list this morning....he'd like McCain to hit hard on these subjects and I think he makes an excellent point:
I favor low taxes and smaller government while he favors..................
I favor winning the war while he favors.............................
I will appoint Constitutionally faithful judges while he will appoint..................
I am for life while he is for............................................
I believe in traditional marriage while he......................................
I support domestically produced energy and oil exploration while he favors...............................
I will enforce our federal border laws while he.............................................
I will support our ally Israel without compromising their right to existence while he will..........................
I oppose the so-called "Fairness Doctrine," "hate crimes" legislation, earmarks, affirmative action, the ACLU, etc. while he...........................
I support our troops and their mission while he.....................................................
Z: Wouldn't you THINK this kind of straight talk might work? Don't you think most Americans would see what's at stake? Americans are smart and fair and decent, most of them. Here's hoping McCain appeals to that. Enough running scared of RACISM, FEMINISM, etc. People know he's no racist, they know he honors women, they know this..they need straight talk (oh, talk about that, they know he doesn't hate gays, too!).........

Time to get tough. Time to remind people who has experience, who's served this country well, and we don't want a president terrorists like.
Thanks, Michael.

Michael Miller needs to apply as McCain's campaign manager. He definitely needs a new one. I keep thinking that McCain is holding back until after the DNC convention, but I don't know why he would do that, unless he believes the delegates are going to change their minds and go for Hillary. I doubt that will happen, and I certainly hope it doesn't happen, because Hillary will have an even better chance of winning in November. But the fact is that there is a lot of stuff that goes on behind the scenes that even the media doesn't get ahold of. Perhaps McCain just isn't concerned about Obama and just maybe there's a reason why he isn't. Again... I hope I'm wrong about that.
If they don't see yet, hopefully they will come to see over the next 3 months before it is time to decide.
I still do not trust mccain, he may be a stealth candidate...he IS NOT a conservative, he is for amnesty for illegals and I doubt very seriously that he will nominate CONSERVATIVE judges.
tmw
And mccain hasn't said those things because his record in the senate would prove that he is lying!
AMEN, maybe you should be on mccain's campaign staff z. especially since he has went through so many bodies like a hot knife through butter!!!
Pat, I'm not sure what you mean about hot knives through butter but..????
TMW, I believe McCain's choices for judges would be far far closer to the constitution than anything OBama could produce.
Sadly, we don't have the luxury of a great candidate, but McCain has said he'd pick judges who don't legislate from the bench.
LEST WE ALL FORGET: This election is about not letting a SOCIALIST become president of the U.S....we don't get any better choice than we have in the last 20 years, sadly, and have to save ourselves from Obama if we can at all.
Michael G. Miller says:
The Merry Widow brings up an excellent point that McCain is handcuffed by his less than conservative voting record. Nonetheless, I think he may be able to claim conservative positions now as present circumstances have shown themselves to demand conservative solutions. I don't America will mind a "flip flop" as long as it ends up on the correct side of the issue. I believe it is essential for him emphasize the difference between his policies and Obama's Marxist positions.
McCain may do that once the primaries are over and done with. He knows that most voters can't remember anything longer than four seconds ... so if he mounts an aggressive campaign, it will be for nothing. That's my theory. Only time will tell if I'm right.
BTW, Obama has made this a racist campaign, and he's so successful in doing so that most people ... including Glen Beck, are in complete denial about it. Time for another tylenol.
Mustang...Beck doesn't see the race card Obama's constantly playing? I'm surprised to hear about that......most commentators sure are aware of it! I agree that mcCain might hesitate to get too tough right now......
We need to remember that the congress will probably be even MORE liberal after this election...if we get Obama, we're DONE. Everything will FLY through the signing process and we're toast.
Michael, this may well be the LAST time a conservative can make sense against a Marxist because we have a whole generation coming up that's been convinced Marxism IS the way to go. That's the most scary thing about all of this.
Michael G. Miller says:
Z, your point about Marxism is a terrifying one. If the indoctrination of the youth has been that successful, then we truly have lost the battle. I don't know if we have lost the war, because if we have a Marxist take over of our government (even a stealth one) there may have to be a war. "Better Dead Than Red."
John's made a simple calculation. It's the type of calculation that's as easy as breathing for a Populist like McCain. It goes something like this:
"Just what do I have to do to attract as many Democtats as possible without totally alienating Conservatives?"
Outside of the war on terror, it's ALL up for grabs. THAT'S why this series of questions will NEVER be asked. It's far too judgemental and scary for most Dems. They live in a world of good feels and positive vibes, not stark black and white choices.
Morgan
i'm going to write in bill koenig. he, at least, has more experience than hussein ohbee. that, and i'll be able to sleep with myself at night.
I have to agree, McCain is walking a tight rope right now between maintaining his base and appealing to Dems. I don't like this that much but reality is that to win this election we are going to have to peel off some Dems from Obama. Quite frankly I have been uneasy about this all along. We do need to win the WH, if only to keep Obama from it, but at what cost? I don't know.
nanc...I couldn't sleep with myself if Obama won. I shudder to think of him and a Democrat congress.
Chuck..the cost cannot be more than having Obama, could it? At least we can TRY to not go downhill as fast as Obama would take us.
Well, for the McCain doubters here, I don't think he will call for all Americans to perform mandatory community service. Neither do I think he will call for a National Civilian Police force.
I do believe he'll fight the Jihadists, and Obama won't. I think Obama would most likely make deals with them. Appease them. We can see how well that's working in Europe!!
If you think the war can wait four years, don't vote for McCain. Unfortunately, the Jihadists no doubt have a different schedule.
IMO what McCain has to do is contrast Obama's downer of a message. Can you think of anything about America Obama likes? His speeches are nothing more than glib versions of Jimmy Carter's malaise speech.
McCain would do well to read some of Reagan's speeches and diaries, to get a flavor of what we want to hear. That we are a noble country with good, generous people, who work hard and earn respect and trust from our leaders.
Messages of love for this country, lifting up, not putting down, and he doesn't even have to mention Obama's name.
Pris
That is excellent and so true. But would McCain do that? Would he talk tough on that? The only time he talks tough is on the war on terror. He is a fluffer nutter when it comes to those illegal immigrants - I am not sure he too would not let Bush's taxation run out in 2010. McCain has more negatives than good.
As I said he his tough on the war on terror, that is the only thing he is good on, and we do need a president to be tough on this crucial issue. So as much as I am sick of all the whining, wimpy, boyz talk - no real men here -- sadly McCain is all we have and I hope he is enough to win.
I hope we can give more credit to the American people for not being so dumb, but I truly am wondering Z!
Great post btw! Thank you.
Hugs,
Layla
If Obabma won I'd sleep like a baby.
Sleep two hours and wake up crying. Sleep two more hours and wake up crying.
Great reminder,z. McCain is looking pretty dang good after checking this list. Nobody's perfect. Let's rally behind him 100 percent. And bottom line...anybody but Obama!
It's tough for McCain to face-off, corner Obama, and draw those clear distinctions because, for one, Obama is refusing to meet him one-on-one in a Town Hall style forum, and, two, as discussed here, McCain has blurred the diffferences with his past record of "crossing the aisle" as a "maverick, and now his need to court (Reagan) Democrats.
The distinctions are further blurred because, while he centers himself leftward, Obama's running past him to his right with his sudden transformation into a pro-gun, pro-Capital Punishment, pro-unilateral bombing of a sovereign country that harbors terrorists (i.e. Pakistan), pro-Faith Based Initiative, anti-Gay Marriage, and pro-flag pin now, to boot.
Chuck wrote:

I disagree Chuck. I think McCain's bungling this one TERRIBLY. He'll probably win the election, but he'll win in SPITE of his stupid tactics. This artificial gas crisis has given us a GOLDEN opportunity to stomp the daylights out of the Dems, and Obama's exhibit ONE of Dem stupidity and malfeasance on the issue!
If I were in charge of the RNC I'd have commercials running day and night that the Dems are on vacation and REFUSED to vote on allowing drilling. This is a golden opportunity that's being squandered.
Morgan
Wisdom from Pris!
"If you think the war can wait four years, don't vote for McCain. Unfortunately, the Jihadists no doubt have a different schedule."
Well sadi Pris!
Now, as for Johnny reading Reagan speeches...LOL! I think he'd rather lop off a nut without anesthesia!
Morgan
Okay everyone, the question is: WHY IS OBAMA PLAYING THE RACE CARD?
I think he's trying to change the subject. The Dems are getting KILLED on the drilling issue, and Obama KNOWS he needs to change the topic. Race is the one thing the media will grab like a $1000 bill and run with and he KNOWS it!
Morgan
morgan - he's playing it to keep the seed of racism just festering below the surface dirt! how many of us actually ever thought of it until this last year - was it even an issue in our lives? whoever's pulling his strings and putting words into his ugly mouth is very good at what they do. i'm sick of this guy. we'll NEVER recover as a nation with their party running the show. get ready for full tilt socialism.
I think the one issue McCain trumps Obama on is the war on terror. The reality is Obama=attacks from al-qaeda, McCain=continuing the fight. This alone gets my vote and puts his sign in my front yard.
Z said: " that's good enough for me and we Conservative bloggers have to HAMMER those conservatives who don't understand, who still say their not voting doesn't help Obama"
Thanks Z, That is EXACTLY how I feel, I've been say exactly that for months.
If fact i just had a very heated debat on another blog on this very subject.

WHY IS OBAMA PLAYING THE RACE CARD?
Morgan -- I think that the answer is that they want you to equate not voting for Obama with racism instead of intelligence. If you don't vote for Obama it might show that you are a racist. That is the seed of guilt they want to plant. In order to do that they always need to have a small dose of race injected into the campaign. Since John McCain is honorable and does not see or play race then they must inject it themselves.
I want to thank you Conservative posters who commented here. Yes, thank you very much for the arrogance of George Bush. And also the posts from many self-described “Republicans,”
“Conservatives” and “Right wingers,” and whatever else you call yourselves, Independents, Libertarians, Third Party Freaks whatever. You brought tears to these liberal eyes. The warmth and the understanding; meant more to me then you can possibly know.
Is it my imagination, or are many of you angry? If I were a Republican and facing the rejection of conservatism on an unprecedented scale this coming November, I suppose I’d be angry as well. Perhaps I can help you understand why your political philosophy is about to be rejected by the American people. And I especially love the way you treat each other. Republicans, loving Conservatives, and the Conservatives loving the republicans is just heart warming to my soul.
Here are just some of the reasons:
Conservatives are supposed to be fiscally responsible yet when your crowd inherited a trillion-dollar surplus from Bill Clinton, Bush/Cheney and a Republican Congress turned it ( no pissed it) into a $3-trillion-dollar deficit.
. Conservatives strongly support the war in Iraq but won’t help pay for it. Never has our country been at war without asking and getting our citizens to help bear the financial burden……until this war. Conservatives don’t want to give up Bush’s tax cuts for the top 5% of wage earners to help pay for this war. Why? Who know why?
The American people got tired of being lectured on your “family values” issues. By conservative clergy and Republican members of Congress, e.g. Larry Craig, who didn’t practice what they preached. But had their Gay old time doing what ever the hell they do.
Or maybe the voters got tired of Republicans controlling the US House of Representatives for 12 years during which they handed out more wasteful pork projects than all the pork handed out by Democrats in the 42 years preceding the GOP takeover.
Or maybe voters got angry when they learned the Vice President of the United States manipulated intelligence and misled the American people on why war with Iraq was in our national security interests.
Or maybe the public didn’t like George Bush vetoing legislation to provide health insurance for millions of kids.
Or maybe the public got embarrassed by Conservatives/ Republicans in the Bush Administration who refused, in the face of overwhelming evidence, to accept the reality of global warming, aka “The Flat Earth Society”.
God bless America.
napqueen, we are angry. Mostly we're angry that the congress has done what it's done to America. You need to study up on how our government works. Earmarks have to go (NONE of us likes them..McCain HATES them, by the way).
We're angry that our founding fathers and the constitution are being dissed by the left, we're angry that people don't understand how reliance on the nanny state ruins the human spirit (you have children, don't you care about that?), we're angry that people don't see the threat of terrorism because it seems to be only conservatives who've done their homework and really know what's planned for us in Iran and cells across out wonderful country, we're angry Obama has so little experience...SO LITTLE experience.
Some of us are even angry that Bush wasn't quite what we'd hoped for and angry that McCain isn't exactly who we'd like to see beat Obama (though ANYBODY beating Obama will at least be the saving grace of our country).
We're angry that who we're looking at possibly winning has the hubris to campaign as King Barack in Europe, we're angry he's never said ONE THING glowing about this country.
Heck, do you call it smart to have a global change conference and not invite 34,000 scientists who don't think the situation's human-controlled? (DO YOUR HOMEWORK, don't just listen to CNN or NPR or Olbermann!) No conservatives are for a dirty planet, TRUST me. We want to solve it realistically and we don't want to pay for all the REALLY spewing countries which Kyoto exempts from the protocols! (did you know that!?..China and Inda won't pay? Educate yourself)
Sorry you're so angry......no wonder you take naps, it tires you out, doesn't it?
GET BETTER INFORMED! Who knows, maybe you'll become a Republian.
For your kids' sakes.
I hope you come by again, I like an almost-civil different opinion. God bless America is right...she REALLY needs it.
napqueen -- you may want to ponder something about your statement here. We've had a democrat congress for the last two years that has done absolutely nothing. When they got control the average gas price was $2.23 and now it is over $4.00. Their approval rating is FAR lower than President Bush's rating. They are against drilling for oil which is what 70% of Americans want. In fact they want to take a vacation instead of allow a vote on it. So if your whole take-over-America-in-November plan fizzles out and never comes to fruition just remember that I already told you why. I respect your opinion but this here is the flip side of the story you tell.
Thanks Morgan,
As for this..."Now, as for Johnny reading Reagan speeches...LOL! I think he'd rather lop off a nut without anesthesia!"
Too funny!!
Napqueen - I read your profile and think you may be a little confused, are you a male or a married woman?? Or both?
Also, since your entire biography is a lesson on napping, one wonders how you stayed awake long enough to post here.
As to your thanking us, you're entirely welcome and we'll be happy to enlighten you whenever you're awake enough to listen.

I favor low taxes and smaller government while he favors.................. wasting hundreds of billions on the military
I favor winning the war while he favors.............................pretending the tactics of the 60's didn't fail then and won't fail again.
I will appoint Constitutionally faithful judges while he will appoint.................. activist chumps like Clarence "Slappy" Thomas who is the most activist justice in the history of the Supreme Court.
I am for life while he is for................................playing the right wing base for suckers letting them think Roe is going to be overturned.
I believe in traditional marriage while he ...................................also believes in joining the America Taliban in denying gays civil rights
I support domestically produced energy and oil exploration while he favors.............................the same short sighted energy policy which is only going to put us back on this merry go round.
I will enforce our federal border laws while he.................................we know that Candidate McCheese favors amnesty.
Will support our ally Israel without compromising their right to existence while he will.......................... continue to hold our foreign policy in slavery to eschatology.
I oppose the so-called "Fairness Doctrine," "hate crimes" legislation, earmarks, affirmative action, the ACLU, etc. while he........................... supports rabies radio, bigotry and elimination of an organization that defends church/state separation.
I support our troops and their mission while he.................................waffle's like a dullard when someone asks him to define "winning in Iraq" and lies like a rug rather than admitting that the "surge" was just a strategy to get enough calm to pull out of that crap hole.
You really are quite boring ducky. It's funny how lies and deceit are seldom interesting.
The time is running out for McCain, the fact is that he can only win if enough people are scared off Obama and nobody is going to do the scaring for him. Playing Mr. Nice guy is good to an extent, but the line between nice guy and weak guy is not the same for everyone.
the merry widow wrote: And mccain hasn't said those things because his record in the senate would prove that he is lying!
I disagree. McCain's record in the Senate is actually far more conservative than many of us will credit him for, due to real as well as overhyped/exaggerated "thumb to the eye of conservatives".
napqueen is wrong about EVERYTHING.
Or maybe voters got angry when they learned the Vice President of the United States manipulated intelligence and misled the American people on why war with Iraq was in our national security interests.
Prove it to me. Please.
FreeThinke says:
Too bad Michael Miller isn't running on the Republican ticket instead of McCain, isn't it?
These are excellent suggestions, but McCain will continue to bleat like a sheep, and fall all over himself apologizing for the sins of our racist, xenophobic past and the terrible injustices we've perpetrated on women, and then he'll compare Obama to Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.
Oy! What a tactician!
BTW, two posters here did nothing but indulge in snide, dreary recitals of DNC talking points and ideological shibboleths derived from the Communist Manifesto. I needn't name them. You know who they are, I'm sure.
Since people of this ilk never think, but instead, merely emote or recite stale formulaic responses, it's pointless to try to argue with them. Their minds are closed, their canned opinions set in stone. They are impervious to reason. They are bitter; they are greedy, they are spiteful, and they are out for blood.
And they make up just about 50% of the electorate.
Trying to talk them out of their embrace of self-destructive policies will do about as much good as it would for Obama to to try to cajole Mockmood Ockma-Dinna-Jod and the malignant Mullahs of Iran our of their murderous rage towards everything and everyone not exactly like themselves.
In other words FUGGEDABOUDDIT!
~ FreeThinke
I favor low taxes and smaller government while he favors socialist wealth "re-distribution"
I favor winning the war while he favors abandoning billions of dollars worth of US military equipment and armored vehicles in the middle of Iraq if he has realistic hope of fulfilling a 16-month phased withdrawal of US personnel in Iraq alone. The guy's just not good with math.
I will appoint Constitutionally faithful judges while he will appoint some leftist jackass that thinks if abortion is illegal women will go to a quack with a coat hanger but if guns were illegal rainbows and lollipops will spring from the sky.
I am for life while he is for photo ops
I believe in traditional marriage while he was married by a racist pastor.
I support domestically produced energy and oil exploration while he favors airing up your tires.
I will enforce our federal border laws while he mows my lawn
I will support our ally Israel without compromising their right to existence while he will invite Hezbollah to commandeer abandoned US military equipment he'll leave in Iraq.
I oppose the so-called "Fairness Doctrine," "hate crimes" legislation, earmarks, affirmative action, the ACLU, etc. while he harps on my age, which is clearly discriminatory.
I support our troops and their mission while he supports terrorists and their mission
Ducky, I just got an email from a friend's son on his second tour in Iraq (actually, maybe first there, but he was in Afghanistan before)....he's asked I don't print it anywhere...
If you saw how optimistic he is now, how pumped those kids are over there, you'd be ashamed. If you could be ashamed.
EVERY point you have is open for discussion/differing opinion, but you spew it like YOU KNOW.
Do you work for CNN?
MK: EVERY time McCain DOES try to get tougher, the media and Obama turn it into RACISM! He can't say a THING without that and this is following Obama's and Hillary's hero, ALlinsky..to a T. They were taught the Marxist doctrine very, very well.
Did you know Obama's accusing McCain of joking about his NAME? I'd like for ONE journalist anywhere to find where ANYBODY's made fun of his name...OR his race.
That's all about "Accuse McCain, then we look good, and he can't do a thing" Who's playing the race card? It was OBAMA who, in his 3rd paragraph into the Berlin speech reminded them he 'looks different' than others who've stood there! This is a joke..a very ugly, powerful joke.
Yet, McCain's numbers are high. I'm stunned.
Wordsmith, you're right about napqueen...
Beamish, FT....well said.
I'M SOO HAPPY TO GET BACK INTO MY BLOG!
SORRY MR. Z'S CHINA OLYMPICS PIECE HAD TO GO...WE HAD TO DO ANYTHING WE COULD THINK OF THAT MIGHT HAVE HELPED ME GET BACK IN TO GEEEZ AND WE THOUGHT MAYBE SOME LINK HAD MESSED ME UP OR SOMETHING...SUDDENLY, THIS MORNING, I'M BACK IN.
Without the blog, I was seriously considering starting a TWELVE STEP PROGRAM for BLoggers who can't blog anymore!! "Hello, I am Z and I am addicted to my blog"
I'm going to write about this....bear with me!
pretty scary, ain't it?
now take that feeling times ten and you'll know how many of us felt when the original crankfiles went down - i'm sure there was a total eclipse somewhere in the atmosphere that day.
nanc...life without Crank Files would make us ALL CRANKY. I can't imagine how that felt...that's one great guy.
BEAMISH IN '08 (Please, God..you can work miracles)
I'm sorry, but I just can't seem to muster up such enthusiasm for McCain. Vows to enforce border security are less persuasive when they come from somone who co-sponsored amnesty legislation with Ted Kennedy. McCain recently favored drilling, but his reluctance to do so along with his support of McCain-Lieberman cast doubts on his energy policy. His stance against Fairness Doctrine and his defense of First Ammendment rights are called into his question by his sponsoring of campaign finance reform. An interesting question was posed: Would McCain appoint SCOTUS Justices who approved of McCain-Feingold? Further doubt on his nominating of Justices arises from his alleged lack of support of Samuel Alito. The "everything is on the table" doesn't instill confidence in me that McCain is a tax-cutter after he used Marxist rhetoric to defend his decision to oppose Bush's tax cuts. Maybe I'll change my mind between now and November, but at this time, I'm thinking Bob Barr for President.
--Tio Bowser
Hi, Tio Bowser..There are a few amongst us who want Barr or Baldwin. Most of us feel voting for anyone but McCain is a vote for Obama, of course...so we're holding our noses and voting McCain.
And, let us all make this perfectly clear: MOST OF US do NOT admire or adore McCain.
Today, it's ANYTHING BUT OBAMA....
Hopefully, the Conservatives will get their conservative act back together and bring out someone really conservative next time.....if we have a chance.
Thanks for commenting..hope to see you here again! (and see you Sunday..I'm singin'!)

That's no doubt true, and I think it's STUPID and will backfire. It only infuriates those of us who vote based on politics, not race. As for JM, I'm glad you feel that way. I think Washington DC has damaged him severely.

Maybe someone needs to email this list to McCain!
Napqueen..
People conveniently forget that congress approval is at an all time low SINCE the dems have a majority.
You know, I think my friend MIchael's list is nothing we don't all know.......but what I particularly liked about it is the way he PUT IT...just PLAIN TALKING....
BLUNT....I am this..you are......this pitiful idiocy.. I am THIS..............you are....whatever.
I think that would make a difference.
Anybody seen the THE ONE ad at McCain.com? Check it out!!
I'm not convinced that a vote for Barr is a vote for Obama. If the Republicans win the presidential election by nominating their most liberal candidate, the party will feel that it did the right and pragmatic thing. They might even be inclined to inch a little further to the left next time to win a few more votes. If the Republicans lose votes on the right, they will at least have incentive to move to the right next election cycle.
I saw a post on National Review that suggested an Obama administration would be a close approximation of a second Carter term. That may not be very encouraging, but a Ronald Reagan redux would be a welcome light at the end of the tunnel.
--Tio Bowser
But, TIO! We have the SUPREME COURT to worry about.... ANYBODY'd put in a stricter constructionist than OBAMA! And there could be THREE replacements (life terms!) in the first four years! Why do you think the oldster libs have stuck around!? They're falling asleep in their seats now~!
We can't AFFORD to have even only four years of Obama socialism. Leave us not forget that he'll have a VERY DEMOCRAT CONGRESS...a free ride to however far he'd like to lead America from her roots. Higher taxes, subsurviance to the UN..read his books!!
I don't buy it, Tio! I honestly feel this is a BIG MISTAKE.
Z, you may be right about the SCOTUS Justices, but Ford's John Paul Stevens and Bush the Elder's David Hacket Souter nominations don't instill a lot of confidence in me about what kind of Justices a liberal Republican would nominate.
--Tio Bowser
That's true, Tio...I wonder if anybody'll actually push names from McCain during a debate or interview "could you suggest anyone you think you might support?"
He'd probably say "I can't make that decision yet," but it would be worth the try.
Still..ANY of them would be less liberal than Obama's, you have to admit.
What this country needs is an enema.
Way past time to flush out the deeply seated poisons of the permanent political establishment.
It really is time for "change."
It is time for a 'change', anonymous..that's why we need McCain.
I know very few Americans who consider Obama's 'change' anything desirable..thank GOD! Even Libs I know are whispering to me and other people how they can't vote for THIS 'change'...
No, we need to get back to our conservative, traditional values and protect this country better, give our law enforcement respect again, talk tough with our enemies (who won't play ball no matter how many times we lower ourselves to them a la Obama), we need to keep taxes down so the economy thrives again...
we need to start respecting the CONSTITUTION again...for ALL people...
not just the type Obama attracts, like Ludikrus, Kos, DU, MOvon, Codepink, Hamas, SOros, Ayers, Moyers, Mahr, every indoctrinated college kid, everyone of color who thinks more of that color than this country, etc etc.
You're right..we need an enema ..the congress has to be purged and replaced with good people; and term limits have to be imposed.
God Bless America!
well, Tio, I am sad to hear you want to vote for Mr. Barr.
Mr. Barr works for the ACLU , so I do not see what good would come from voting for that man.
Like it or not, when someone gets the so called right amount of votes, he or she gets to be the candidate, it is how it works.
I was not happy about McCain, but I know he is one tough old bird, and lately I have been watching him play with the Obama, and I like it.
Maybe there was some wisdom here, but because McCain has his own magic too.
Hard to attack a bonafide hero, who offered the ultimate sacrifice for his nation. Make no mistake, he has served this nation and that is what a president is supposed to do, serve us.
Bob Barr is not the good guy you might think.
I do hope you will reconsider and vote for McCain, because a vote for Barr WILL be for Obama , and I and my family and friends do not deserve an Obama Presidency.
By the way , Barry Obama has a plan for repealing some our ammendments.
Like the second one.
