Z, What a magnificent creature. So majestic.
Yes, most baby birds are pretty ugly. You're not mean, you have to call 'em as you see 'em.
Very unusual, a trained Bald Eagle.
This video is great, thanks.
Pris
This is great. They are about 500 of them that come into this area (Well 50 miles north of here) every December. They follow migrating ducks and geese. Beautiful Birds.
Have you heard of the possibility of moving the Guantanamo detainees to Fort Leavenworth. That's 38 miles to my south I don't care for the plan. I've posted a message about it.
God Bless America, God Save The Republic.
Nice one Z.
Yeah they are ugly buggers, but beautiful when they're all grown up.
Few do patriotism like you Americans, good on ya.
Just across the river from here (that's THE river, Mississippi) near Alton, Illinois is the second largest bald eagle habitat in the United States.
It's always cool to spot one soaring over the river.
Eagles just remind me too much of Sam Eagle from the Muppets, and he was no Lou Zealand...
Excellent video, Z. I love the Bald Eagle and have several statuettes of them; they may be ugly when first hatched but they are beautiful creatures when they reach maturity. I wish we could say the same thing about human beings.
Presently, eleven nations have adopted some species of Eagle as their symbol ... so the symbol has international appeal. We all recall the Eagles of Rome. A bird so majestic as this deserves our admiration.
Mustang; That's chilling about an eagle and Rome. Sorry, we don't ALL know about that..tell us..or tell ME.
I say "chilling" because the eagle is such a sign of America for us and Mr. Z's always likening us with Rome lately...and the fall.
Yes, it starts out ugly but WHAT a beautiful bird.
Magnificent!
Thank God that Ben Franklin's proposal for making the turkey a symbol of America didn't get adopted.
Actually, I think that baby eagles are magnificent in their own way. Look into their eyes; the steeliness is there already.
I felt the same as AOW. I looked into his eyes and saw a toughness that would see him through. I've looked at baby pictures of myself and thought, how did I turn into the incredibly handsome man I am today? It must be a miracle. Great video, Z.
