Obama ..1 classroom credit

Check THIS out.  Charles Ogletree at Harvard will be teaching a class about President Obama.   Yes, THAT Ogletree, the one who hid videos of Obama (read the link) which would still not have been exposed had Breitbart not revealed them.

SO, the class description is this:  It's called UNDERSTANDING OBAMA
Spring 2013 Reading Group , Section 1
1 classroom credits
This reading group will focus on the way in which race, religion, and politics have impacted the development of President Obama as a leader. We will explore his views as a biracial child, his time as a student at Harvard Law School, the successes and failures of his political campaigns, and the way religion and his views on faith nearly derailed his campaign*. Finally, time will be spent analyzing the challenges he faces as President of the United States in establishing both his domestic and global policies
*REALLY?
want to take the class? :-)

From the linked article:

“I’m an Obama fan, I love the president — love him and his wife,” he explained. “They were wonderful people to serve as a mentor when they were here in the law school at separate times in the 1980s. There’s a lot to learn.”

He asserted that none of his personal feelings about the president will be a factor in the class

I call BS on that last sentence!

The course should have been named "Love the Cult of Obama."

Better yet, call the course "Join the Cult of Obama."

I'm currently auditing a similar class. It's a multimedia experience involving talk radio, blogs, and Fox News.

I'm OK with it, as long as the people who take it get one negative credit. And have to wear a prison-style bracelet for the next ten years to warn future employers that they are Obamabots.

Ducky's here said...

In a couple of semesters he can add a section on how Obama kicked Romney's ass after the tea Party splintered the Republicans.

Brooke said...

Of course he can, Ducky.

And a few years after that he can give a class on how Obama crashed the economy, sent unemployment through the roof, caused energy production to fail and prices to skyrocket 'by necessity', sent every producing business overseas, ruled by executive order, and then finally took control of the country as Dear Leader Supreme Dictator.

You know, if The One will allow such a class.

Don't count your chickens before they're hatched, Ducky!

But you might want to start counting yellow dogs. I know a few of them that are planning to go astray.

I fully intend to vote for Obama, my first vote for a Democrat ever (Does it cause brain damage? I always thought it did...) because all this talk of how his second term will destroy America is extremely appealling to me when the alternative is not destroying an America that believes Mitt Romney is a conservative.

Z said...

AOW, that's the whole point, isn't it. Another huge LIE. As if they'd get any honest thinking in a class like this.
But, hope springs eternal. Maybe ONE STUDENT who's not so badly brainwashed will speak up...on the other hand; he or she wouldn't take the class, so it'll be a big love fest for one credit.

Ed...but is it how OBAMA's affected by talk radio, blogs and FOX?

Opus, GOOD ONE :-)

Brooke, you're so right...unfortunately!

Beamish, go for it!

Apparently it already has.

Why should college credits be awarded for classes that have no practical value in helping the student in getting a career and being a productive member of society?

Oh wait, Obama/liberal...

Obamanology 101.

You are predicting two events that have not occurred yet.

I took the class in the first 5 minutes this imbecile spoke when he began to run for the White House a year and a half before the 08 elections.

I Ace'd it btw. None of my conclusions were wrong, but were in honesty incomplete to the evilness of this moronic dictator.

Empty Suit. BS Salesman, Racist, Socialist, Puppet - were my initial conclusions. I can add to those now and enhance the original categories.

Kid said...

"because all this talk of how his second term will destroy America is extremely appealling to me when the alternative is not destroying an America that believes Mitt Romney is a conservative."

So, beamish is going to vote for a socialist communist imbecile because he/she Really wants a Conservative and Mittens Romney ain't one.

Sounds like perfect liberal [il]logic to me.

This is beyond the pale. Nothing good will ever come out of this Obama cult following . It never has before.

"Nothing good will ever come out of this Obama cult following.."

Those who voted for him in 08 wanted to show they weren't "racists / bigots".

Now they have an opportunity to prove they're not stupid by doing it again.

Remember....that gas tank fill that cost you double? That home thats now worth less or under water?
Remember that he's going to destroy energy production with the destruction of coal fired plants?

And with the nixing of energy from our best trade partner...Canada?

Want to buy a Volt? Go ahead....the stats say that it will take 27 years to amortize the cost saving in gas.

Want to put Zimmerman and Martin behind you?

Cause you you never imagined it would come to this with a "black" prez?

16 huge vacations in 3 years? 90 rounds of golf?

A 747 uses 50,000 gallons at about $8 per gallon at todays prices. Do the math...times 16 times or more.

We're hurting and the Kenyan is having us pick up AF1's tab while he campaigns?

Harvard's crop of professors are nearly as bad as their crop of football players.

Nobody wants to watch a Harvard vs Anybody football game, and ditto anything Harvard has to offer up as 'knowledge.'

It's all crap coming out of Harvard these days.

"We're not amused"

But where previous generations of warnings emanated from lone wolves with their fax machines in dusty spare rooms, the current alarms are being issued by the likes of Investors Business Daily, First Amendment authority Nat Hentoff, New York Times best-selling author Robert Ringer and their equals.

“A second term free of electoral restraints [for Obama] may be a frightening prospect,” IBD wrote in a commentary in the last week. “This is, after all, a president who has said he can’t wait for Congress to act and will govern by executive order and regulations if necessary. He has questioned the Supreme Court’s ‘unprecedented’ review of Obamacare.”

The publication pointed out that the Obama administration already is in contempt of court – in a court dispute over its ban on oil drilling rigs in the Gulf of Mexico.

When U.S. District Judge Martin Feldman ruled that the Obama Interior Department unconstitutionally imposed an offshore drilling moratorium, the agency “simply established a second ban that was virtually identical.”

“Judge Feldman was not amused. ‘Each step the government took following the court’s imposition of a preliminary injunction showcases its defiance,’ Feldman said in his ruling. ‘Such dismissive conduct, viewed in tandem with the re-imposition of a second moratorium …. provides this court with clear and convincing evidence of its contempt,’” the editorial said.

The issue recently was brought into the headlines by comments from Judge Andrew Napolitano, a Fox News analyst who said, “I think the president is dangerously close to totalitarianism. A few months ago he was saying the Congress doesn’t count. The Congress doesn’t mean anything. I am going to rule by decree and by administrative regulation. Now he’s basically saying the Supreme Court doesn’t count. It doesn’t matter what they think. They can’t review our legislation.

“That would leave just him as the only branch of government standing,” Napolitano said.

Lisa said...

I wonder when he will say elections don't count either.

Viburnum,

Shoot me if I ever become an Ann Coulter-esque drool fountain gushing about how Mitt Romney is a conservative.

IMP, "Want to buy a Volt? Go ahead....the stats say that it will take 27 years to amortize the cost saving in gas"

Does that include buying probably 8 new battery packs for 8 grand apiece over the 27 years? AHhahahahahahaaa.

I don't buy it either, but even a Rino beats all hell out of the alternative. We need to work to keep the House, win the Senate, and get O out of the White House. If the house is on fire I don't much care what brand of hose carries the water. The important thing is to douse the flames.

viburnum, that's my hope; that people will wake up and see how badly we need to replace Obama with ANYBODY BUT OBAMA.
And, of course, the House will probably be kept and even some libs have said they could lose the Senate. Remember 2010.

I'm starting to feel more and more like Kid does.....there are many months till the election and Romney has all those months to show AMerica what we need to be doing. Will he be a hard core Conservative who kicks out SS, Medicare and any kind of entitlements? Of course not...NOBODY COULD. Not anybody who could be elected, anyway.

SO, we're going to support the man and shore him up when he's elected...and hope the Ryans and McCarthys and Cantors of the Republican party kick him in the butt if he strays :-)

It would be helpful if someone could identify for me a political position Romney takes that puts him to the right of Obama on anything.

I won't be joining the Republican Party's latest round of "Party First, Principles Eventually."

When looking at Romney's record as governor you may want to keep two things in mind. Politics is the art of the possible, and he was the Republican governor of the bluest state in the Union. He did fight tooth and nail to cut budgets, veto BS legislation, and run the state like a business, with the Dems fighting him every inch of the way. He didn't always win, but he did try.

This doesn't wash with me. He wasn't fighting a Democrat legislature when he rejected the 1994 "Contract with America" initiative to run for the US Senate as a "pro-choice Republican." It was not pressure from left-wing rivals that had Romney donating money to Planned Parenthood. There was no legislative battle that caused Mitt Romney to denounce the National Rifle Association and support both the Brady Bill and the "Assault Weapons" Ban. There was no party rivalries that caused Mitt Romney to vow to use the Massachusetts judiciary to ensure minors could get abortions without parental consent or notification. Romney did not have to wrestle with Democrats to come out in full support of embryonic stem cell research. Over 75% of Mitt Romney's judicial nominees in Massachussetts were left-wing / liberal, including two activist homosexual lawyers who have since expanded same-sex marriage "rights" in Massachusetts, and one of the most vehemently pro-abortion Democrats in Massachussetts courts. There was no dispute between Romeny's Governorship and the MA Legislature in regards to Romneycare.

With Romney, we're not looking at a politician fighting an uphill "art of the possible" political battle. We have a far-left politician from a far-left state with a far-left political record. Period.

Obama WISHES he was as left-wing as Romney.

I won't be joining the Republican Party's latest round of "Party First, Principles Eventually."

Then how about putting country first? Obama must go.

Obama will be gone in 2016. Something needs to be done about the Republican Party's complacency with taking conservative voters for granted.
