BEFORE THE THRONE OF GOD ABOVE
Before the throne of God above
I have a strong, a perfect plea
A great High Priest whose name is Love
Who ever lives and pleads for me
My name is graven on His hands
My name is written on His heart
I know that while in heaven He stands
No tongue can bid me thence depart
No tongue can bid me thence depart
When satan tempts me to despair
And tells me of the guilt within
Upward I look and see Him there
Who made an end to all my sin
Because the sinless Savior died
my sinful soul is counted free
For God, the just, is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me
To look on Him and pardon me
Behold him there, the risen Lamb
My perfect, spotless righteousness
The great unchangeable I AM
The King of glory and of grace
One with Himself, I cannot die
My soul is purchased by His blood
My life is hid with Christ on high
With Christ, my Savior and my God
With Christ, my Savior and my God
Selah
"But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior." Titus3:4-6
Have a beautiful day.

Z - Thanks for the Beautiful Sunday Post.
A good way to begin what I know will be Beautiful Day for me.
I'm starting back going to church -and after that I'm spending the day with three of my g-kids.
You have a Beautiful day too - Z.
Two of the members of Selah (the performers on that link) are "locals" here in the Detroit area.
Their parents were missionaries in Africa and as such the brother and sister were raised in Africa.
They were looking to cut an album and needed material.
They chose hymns because they are in the public domain.
Thank God.
Have a blessed Sunday.
Thanks for starting mine well.
One of my favorites. Thanks, Z. A good Sunday morning to you too.
Nice Sunday post!
Yes, we are saved by God's mercy, not anything we have earned. Whatever happens, God is in control.
Sue, I'm so glad you started going back to church. I hope you enjoy the morning service and I really hope you have fun with the grandchildren!
Ed, that's very interesting... thanks for that information. They have wonderful voices, don't they.
Beverly, I'd never heard it until at church 2 weeks ago. I think it's terrific.
SF..."God is in control" seems more and MORE important and reassuring lately, with all the awful things going on, doesn't it.
Before the throne of God above... the place where we can go and are never alone.
A great post Z and WOW the sound is wonderful.
Glad Ed posted the info on this group. I had not listened to them before but will make a point of looking for their music for my Sunday Music Time.
Sometimes that life here in this household is so overwhelming that God feels far, far away. God is certainly in control, but I don't sense that control much of the time.
Ticker, I'd never heard their music, either. I'm glad you liked it, too.
AOW....most of us (All?) are going through things where we feel God isn't anywhere around, aren't we. Sometimes it's worse than other times. I'm sorry you and Mr AOW are going through so much and I pray that your seeking Him will make Him feel closer.
When Mr. Z died, the Psalms were my best friend. I wish I would always remember how much solace they brought and apply it to better times, too...but I don't always. What better times they'd be if we sought Him in other than just the tough times.
(I think I'm preaching to myself here, kind of 'talking out loud' to myself and telling myself something as we often do....I needed to hear that right now)
Nothing beats <a href='http://youtu.be/gosY-UrpHcA">church music</a> on a Sunday... or any other day of the week. :)
Beautiful. You always have such great Sunday faith posts

Z - Church was good. The 8:10 amm
service was informal - and not in the sacnturary - but in a very large beautiful room. I was impressed about how friendly the people were.
My first thought is 'a lot of them were older' but then I started thinking - THEY ARE MOST LIKELY MY AGE ! ! !
I guess that's a little self-denial.
I'm looking forward to next
Sunday.
And I think I may have a place to do some voluntering also.
So it turned out pretty well.
I hope you had a good Sunday - Z.
I hope you had a wonderful Sunday!
