What a way to start the week...

I should have used this shot I was just sent for my Sunday Faith Blog yesterday:  "Please God, don't let Americans be this ridiculous..."  (though I have no proof they would not..)

Who'd be your nightmare candidates?

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see this ticket for 2016.

One alternative is even worse: Obama appoints one or both of them to the SCOTUS.

MY nightmare candidates?

Anyone currently in public life, except Ted Cruz and Rand Paul. I hold out little hope for Marco Rubio. He's nowhere near as bright, dynamic or dedicated to reestablishing freedom as these other two. He's too "cute," too soft, and not very bright.

Ted Cruz is HEAD and SHOULDERS ABOVE all the rest.

Chris Christie, who seemed very promising at first, quickly turned into just another politurd. Besides, he really IS too fat.

I saw this bumper sticker last week and have been having a "nightmare" ever since! For reasons pertaining to mental and gastric health I don't want to go further into the subject.

On the Democratic side, I have a few...Hillary Clinton, Joe, Biden, Michelle Obama, Andrew Cuomo, and Chelsea Clinton.

Do nightmares come true?

Read'em and weep from The Washington Examiner:

"Hillary Clinton hasn't stepped into the 2016 Democratic presidential primaries yet and there's already buzz growing for the ultimate girl power ticket: Clinton and first lady Michelle Obama.

"All due respect for President Obama and Vice President Biden, but that would truly be a dream team for America," said former Clinton spokeswoman Karen Finney. "Both women are proven effective leaders who've raise children, so dealing with Congress would be a snap!" added Finney, also a former Democratic Party spokeswoman.

"More than anything else, this reflects the growing awareness that it is time for the glass ceiling of the last old boys club to be firmly shattered," added Democratic strategist Chris Lehane..."

AOW, if he does that, the country's toast for 30 years. There are far worse he might appoint; that's what he'll do.

FT...I'm hoping you're wrong about Rubio; I have started feeling that way, too.
Honestly, I completely agreed with Coulter at CPAC; she said she's a one-issue voter now and it's immigration. As she said, when the Dems legalize 12 million hispanics, and they will, this country will be ruined. Though MANY hispanics are conservatives and hard working, those who come here illegally don't seem to be and they will vote hand-outs every time.

JB, you saw it on a car? I thought it was a photo shop! OH MY GOSH!

Sue, then you have a very different version for America than most of us do. While I don't prefer to vote for either of them, they at least don't want spending your grandchildren into financial oblivion.
I always think you'd be pro family, pro the economy, and more, then you surprise me like this!

Thersites; that man is the biggest egomaniac. I would vote for his father, however.

Mystery Man...Chelsea's definitely being groomed. The media's keeping every tiny thing she does in the news....it's the plan.

ConservativesonFire...it's liberals who'll vote for women because they're women and not vote for the best PERSON...they who feign how important all equality is :-)

Ducky, for once I agree: Rubio/Ayotte is a great ticket.
But I've got to study Rubio's immigration stance a little more.

Z - My response was for the two nightmare candidates - not the agenda.

Rick Santorum and Sarah Palin are my two nightmare candidates.

Lisa said...

so the left would want Michelle Obama? Even more unqualified than her husband.
The dems and their voters in this country have become very creepy

Z said...

Sue, thanks....I sort of get what you mean! I appreciate that you wrote that back less snarky than some might have :-)

I'm not a Palin fan, as you know, but I tried to put aside that weird smile, 'youbetcha' way, and listen to her words, and I was less turned off than usual.
Santorum's very pro family...not sure what else except that he definitely wants us to STOP SPENDING.

Sue, how would you manage the spending situation? We're seeing Cypress falling apart and it's due a lot to taxes, taxes, taxes...
It's scary.

I sometimes think the world ought to just invent a huge amount of counterfeit money to get us all back out of the hole and just let it go........start all over again .

Would that work, folks!:? :-)

sue hanes said...

Z - I'm not qualified to say how the spending situation should be handled. But I'm not sure anyone is. Working together - with both parties - certainly wouldn't hurt -would it?

JonBerg said...

Z,

"JB, you saw it on a car? I thought it was a photo shop! OH MY GOSH!"

I guess that I should have been more clear. I actually saw this on another blog: "Living The Grand Life". I apologize for any undue stress that I may have caused. However, while this may well have been a "photo shop" product, that doesn't necessarily invalidate the possibility of it being real. After all, is it really that much more grotesque than the OBAMA-BIDEN stickers that are still so ubiquitously in-our-face?

Lisa said...

It would be nice if they could work together unlike President 'My way or the Highway' wants to

Ducky's here said...

Of course it's shopped.

Michelle Obama has as much chance of being nominated as Michelle Malkin or Michele Bachmann.

What is it about that name?

L'il Ricky and "Big Gulp" Palin (did you folks see her at CPAC). Now there's a ticket.

It will be like last primary. The freaks will push everyone to the far right, everyone punches themselves out and you lose. The Tea Party is a divine gift to Democrats.

Z said...

Lisa, so true...

Sue, they're TRYING to work together; every time the Republicans try, the door's shut and even some Democrats admit that.
They used to say that every time Bush tried to extend his hand across the aisle, he came back with fewer fingers; I think it's the same way now.
You have to have read these things.

Except the media paints it as "the Republicans are the party of "NO""

Must we become Cypress and keep taxing until we're no longer America? What happened to the constitution?

JB...thanks for clearing that up! Wanted to make sure! :)

Z said...

Ducky, I think you're in for a surprise. I'm sorry you didn't see more of the speeches; the media's trying to paint it quite different than it actually was...to the point where I sat there this morning asking "did they watch the same speeches I did?"

10 of the best and brightest, men, women, and of every color, all spoke...under the age of 40; all who hold State Senator positions and comptroller, etc..23, 24 years old and amazingly articulate on the issues.

Coulter was the best; it's so true that the Dems are sucking up to amnesty to get liberal voters. They're attracting not the best from Hispanic countries (Cubans are hard working conservatives as a whole) but the hand-out bunch who WILL vote your way.
Get your Mao jacket out, Ducky...you're going to need it.

It'll never happen. Michelle would choke out Hillary in the first round.

We will see more of Michelle. Following the Clinton model, which is based upon the third-world family dynasty model, Michelle will be the next senator from Illinois, and then on to the White House.

The House of Kennedy, always decadent, is in steep decline. The Democrat party is crying out for a new dynasty.

Ducky's here said...

Z said...

Silverfiddle..excellent point. You're so right; Michelle Obama would win Illinois easily. And then...the presidency.

Meanwhile, the Clintons are still jockeying for Hillary, as you know....cozying up to the Obamas, at least publicly. What deal have they struck?

Ducky, COulter was fantastic but I said "the best" in the usual way..not the best of the speakers by far.
She's so true and honest that it hurts liberals and they pounce on the least little thing they can to avoid the points she makes, but she ROCKED. She always does.
Heck, they're still criticizing her for slamming the 9/11 widows but she had every reason to believe she was right about them, too. Typical lib criticism.

Meanwhile, CNN is the cheerleading team for the two 16 yr old rapists and have barely mentioned the girl raped. Man, what a network they are. "So sad to see those two boys feeling their lives are ruined!" well, geee......

Also, everybody:

Isn't it astonishing that we have to read HEADLINES on our Home Pages like "Kardashian girls have 'smell off'" (what the heck?).."Lindsay Lohan late to court" , "Ryan Seacrest single again" "J Lo following the trend instead of setting the fashion trend"...these are HEADLINES, folks.

As the world falls apart.

Ted Cruz was born in Calgary, Alberta. So scratch him since he's not a natural born American.

Marco Rubio, although born in America, his parents didn't become American citizens until he was four years old. You might need to scratch him too, if the Constitution as it was originally written still matters anymore ... given the direction things have gone over the last several decades.

Waylon said...

What's wrong with Sarah Palin? She's got a way of getting to the point with wit and panache that is sadly lacking in most politicians.

" “Background checks: A dandy idea Mr. President, should have started with yours!”

"“We’re not here to re-brand a party, we’re here to rebuild a country."

" “Barack Obama promised the most transparent administration ever: Barack Obama, you lie!” And no Palin speech these days is complete without a teleprompter joke: ”Mr. President: We admit it. You won. Accept it. Now step away from the teleprompter and do your job.”

Z said...

Darn, Waylon! I gave a 1000 different reasons why I can't take Palin anymore and I hadn't realized my computer had signed me out! :-(

The biggest thing is her constant "Gee, why all the fuss for a soccer mom from Wasilla?" What a really STUPID, disingenuous thing to say. With the clout she KNOWS SHE HAS? Ridiculous.

Cruz isn't an American -born citizen? Drat!!

Rubio...I can't imagine having been born here doesn't trump his folks. There's some disagreement on the constitution on that, I believe.

I use the BBC as my home page. Help's avoid the Kardashians.

Big entertainment news today is that Criterion has announce a release of Marketa Lazarova. As someone said of it, "puts the dark back in the Dark Ages." Very important film.
We don't all follow the Kardashians.

A pity about CRUZ'S Canadian birth. I just heard that, myself. No wonder the conservative pundits have ignored him!

Of course being foreign-born and the spawn of the vilest kind of anti-American woman and the blackest of black African Savages to boot hasn't hurt Boo Hoo Ovomit one little bit, has it?

But then Ovomit ran as a DemonRat, didn't he?

They operate by an entirely different set of rules -- i.e. they make it up as they go along -- and ALWAYS get away with it.

He's totally representative of the lowlifes and crud that are now truly enemies of the US, 50% of it's people and primarily the Constitution.

The "needy" parasites who are now slaves again of another odious master. The tragedy is they're too stupid to know it.

Z said...

Ducky, the thing isn't what home page we use but that America is so besieged by this, literally, CRAP. While Rome's burning, we're hearing about Lindsay Lohan and Kardashians?

FT,I'm with you on that nightmare candidacy.

Imp, have you seen that list of 10 muslims in the White House in positions of protecting Americans? Obviously, many muslims are Americans and do have our best interest at heart, but to do this NOW, at a time when Americans are legitimately wary..?

And then he's on track of nominating PEREZ ... how's that going to look when Republican senators with VERY GOOD REASON say NO to Perez? No to the hispanic? They must hate hispanics, right?

Man..what a perfect storm set up by Obama

Pris said...

Sue, "not the agenda"? What then, their manner of speech, or looks?

Any candidate's agenda is what is most important. Good grief, how many voted for Obama because they thought he was "cool"?
That is not a good reason to vote for anyone. Admiring being "cool" means absolutely nothing but shallow thinking by those who vote for that reason.

BTW, I thought Palin's speech was rousing and showed she's a solid American, and believes in freedom, and the Constitution. However, I have the feeling she won't choose to run.

And FT, Rubio is too cute? Please spare me. What does that have to do with his strong beliefs in America.

I'm not a big Christie fan, but not because he's fat. Who cares so much about people's looks? It's what they will do if elected that matters. Period!

My God it looks as though so many judge candidates on looks, or manner of speech. It's what they believe and will lead with a solid American agenda which matters!

But then of course the state run media has become an adolescent, and scandal ridden tabloid institution. God help us.

Pris, even I thought Palin did a good job, except when she went into that 'Golly geez, just a Wasilla soccer mom" again..so the crowd'll go nuts and remind her she's so much more than that (as if she doesn't know)...that really gets to me. It's like saying "clap, already, CLAP for meeee!"
But, she did a very good speech, I have to say, and I think the Big Gulp drink was a perfect thing to carry up there.."Less Freedom in a Cup" is what that should be called.......she did well.

As for looks, you are so right, EXCEPT I think CHristie's weight is amazing...I saw a real profile the other day and thought it looks like he doesn't care about his health. I know very well that some people just can't get that weight off for medical reasons, etc., but honestly, he looks like Humpty Dumpty.
It's a bit embarrassing to think of him tipping the world stage :-)

And how he handled Obama during the hurricane was pathetic. I know a gov has to put aside politics when his people need help, and FINE, slobber over Obama just before an election where the opponent's been trying to make people see he's really a CAD, butPLEASE, when it's a month or two after the promises STILL haven't come through, then tell this country "OBAMA DID NOT COME THROUGH FOR US"...but no...they sayhe's too interested in winning over the Dems for his gubernatorial election next year.

ugh.

Divine; I totally agree with you about that. I really do think I'm coming around to that opinion.

"That has led to forecasts that once sounded far-fetched becoming reality: U.S. oil wells produced 6.4 million barrels of oil per day last year – the highest domestic production level in 20 years -- and are expected to yield 7.3 million barrels per day this year, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. The EIA recently increased its forecast for U.S. oil production to 8 million barrels a day by the end of next year.

“One thing I can say with absolute certainty…is that our long-term forecasts are going to be wrong,” Adam Sieminski, EIA administrator, said in a recent speech. “It looks like the direction we’re going ... on oil is there’s going to be more of it.”
