Christmas in Munich by popular demand!

The Munich Marienplatz Christmas tree, at the request of Mystic Minstrel! The market surrounds it, but it looks like this was the lighting of the tree ceremony. It is GORGEOUS! That's the newer Town Hall behind it. (if you haven't yet seen the colorful and lovely Christmas market scenes from Germany, please scroll down....I promise, you'll be delighted!)

Es macht Spaß, fähig zu sein, ein kleines Deutsch zu lesen, wenigstens was Sie sagen, selbst wenn ich nicht beantworten kann. (done with the help of an online free translation service).

Danke! Es ist sehr gut. i know just enough german to make a fool of myself. My favorite phrase is "ich spiele in die strasse und das ist ganz gut."

although i hear, alles deutsch ist gut deutsch!

the picture is truly beautiful and kindles my fire to visit this beautiful land. thank you for sharing!

That tree is more beautiful than a diamond brooch, which it resembles in many ways --- it has more warmth.

I love that it has both delicacy and simplicity.

It is good to see these lovely, positive images of Europe about which we've been given a much too negative impression at FPM and other neoconservative sites.

It's always better to see things for oneself. If that's not possible, the eye of trusted friends like Mr. and Mrs. Z makes a good substitute.

Thanks.

Froeliche Weinachten und beste Wuensche fuer den Neuen Jahr!

I visited Munich to see a World War II fighter that was in the museum of technology there. It's a nice city.
