This Sunday, a beautiful thought as we anticipate a new year

"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live. That everyone may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all his toil-that is the gift of God. I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that men will revere him." Ecclesiastes 3:11-14 From the Old Testament....."set eternity in the hearts of men"

I thought the picture was so beautiful I wanted a verse that was beautiful, too......

Mr. and Mrs. Z wish you a wonderful Sunday.....

Beautiful words, thank you Z. Also from Ecclesiastes 3:14---
"and G-d has brought to pass thgat men revere Him."

I think He's placed a spot in our hearts or minds for Him. When we purposefully turn away from Him we are willing to believe any sort of nonsense. Leftists have a religious mindset towards their political beliefs. I even know an atheist who believes that intelligent dinosaurs escaped the asteroid hit in a space capsule and are rocketing around the cosmos right now! :-) You can't write it any stranger.

Thanks again for the beautiful words.

A blessed Sabbath to you and Mr. Z.

Morgan...those words are included in my post and are excellent, aren't they. I believe that this country was founded by God and that the last thing we should be doing is championing kicking Him out...we're seeing the results of these attempts everywhere we look.
The West is losing it. And I'm with you: we believe all sorts of idiocies when we don't follow His words.

Thanks, Christopher and Elbro!

"...set eternity in the hearts of men. Yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end." That's part of the beauty and mystery of God. We know we will find out in the next life, but we must strive to know in this one. The excitement of finding God's love.

Beautiful quote.

thanks, everyone...I'm glad it's meaningful to you, too.
Sure is to me.

L&O, that's a very interesting thought; the excitement of our finding God's love here on earth.

I guess just the fact that we breathe in and breathe out all day long and wake up doing it again is some indication, huh?!

Like David suggests, just studying the BOOK helps us see His love, doesn't it.

"yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end."

Often when misfortune befalls people they ask, why did God let this happen.

Too often we don't even know the countless times he saved us and we didn't even realise it, let alone thank him for it.

MK...great point.
"We" don't BELIEVE in God when things are going well in the West, but let a nasty thing happen and "How could GOD let this HAPPEN?" Right?

I find that the more we THANK GOD, at least in my personal life, the more I see him in action. It's a new phenomenon and a bless-ed one.
