MSNBC DISSES OBAMA? WHAAAAT??

Forgive me for posting anything with Olbermann's face in it...really, FORGIVE ME, everybody......but I found this fascinating....when a liberal president loses MSNBC, there's a problem, Houston....

Again, forgive me for foisting this ridiculous troika on you but I figured it was worth the satisfaction to see even they're waking up to our Commander in Chief. You know what really ticks me off is when 3 liberals this partisan call anything pretty fairly....I sometimes feel like I ought to pay more attention to what they say more of the time. Then I remind myself.."naaaa".
Thanks for the tip, Impertinent.

Duckhead, George Bush kept this country safe after 9-11! As far as I am concerned the weaknesses & shoddy leadership by Clinton were largely responsible for that. Oh, yeah, I frogot, he bombed an aspirin factory. We don't need your kind constantly trying to insult President Bush. You can't diminish him, but you certainly do yourself. Also, it didn't take President Bush a couple of weeks or more to show up at the point of the disaster.

I didn't watch the speech but can't help seeing it here and there on the news since last night after it was over.....he appears to be very resentful of any possible criticism to himself; Apparently, this guy thinks he's perfect and is still riding the ego train of the election. Scary times, folks, it's tough to deal with this kind of mentality running a country. Not that all presidents don't have egos, how can you not in that position, but this guy's smacks of something different, unhealthy.

But to the average Liberal Leftist Idiots who voted for him, he was "wonderful".
For 58 days now, the (real) American People have watched in horror as a ocean of black oil has been pouring out of A-hole under our ocean and all we hear is threats and more threats!.

But no, he wants to “Kick Ass” as his new adviser Spike Lee told him to do. Talk “Street Talk” as Spike Lee suggested. I guess that he intends to make this Disaster go away as he made terrorism go away.
After about 5-8 minutes, I switched channels and watched a GOOD ballgame and the Yankees beat the Phillies and Roy Halladay.
And George Bush had nothing to do with the way Halladay pitched or why the Phillies lost.

Ducky,

What's going to keep us safe from our own arrogance?

It would be great if this were not asked as a rhetorical question.

Generally speaking, Americans are terribly arrogant. The fact that I chafed at your comment is proof enough that I'm not truly humble.

Solzhenitsyn pegged our problem when speaking of his own people. As a society, we've forgotten God. In many ways, this is true even of those who still claim to be Christian in one or another way.

We have personal idols, cultural idols and political idols that constantly draw our attention away from the Lord and when we obtain even brief victory over our enemies, we tend to credit our President or military or ability to bounce back from financial woes before remembering to thank God for His protection and direction of our affairs.

The solution to our arrogance is not "tear down the existing failing regime and rebuild it into a full-blown oppressive socialistic system"

The primary directive is to recognize that God is in total control even now and be humbled before Him.

If I shut up the heavens, and there is no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send a plague among My people; if My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
(2 Chronicles 7:13-14)

God alone can save us from our own arrogance, Ducky. That includes you, me, Pres O and anyone else that you might have had come to mind.

More importantly, God alone can save us from the eternal punishment that we so richly deserve for BEING so unbelievably arrogant toward Him.

Arrogance needs not coincides with exceptionalism. One can be exceptional and not arrogant.
We are exceptional....I keep asking you to offer one country MORE exceptional and you run from that.

I didn't say fundamentalist belief saves, Ducky.

I said God saves. Not only is He alone capable of saving us, but every believer is a work in progress and will be such until he meets Christ face to face.

To expect individual or societal perfection while dealing with flawed people is pure fantasy.

Additionally, anyone can intellectually or emotionally attach himself to a creed or movement or doctrinal statement without having truly been changed at a heart level.

Many of those on the religious right may simply be "religious" rather than have any sort of right relationship with God via the Holy Spirit.

To pass blanket judgment over an entire group when you disagree with some who claim to belong to that group is exactly the opposite attitude of what you recently explained to me is your position.

I go real easy on condemning entire groups. There are Israelis who are vulgar human garbage just as that's true of Hamas. However, condemning all Muslims as "evil" is ,to put it bluntly, stupid. I'd say ignorant but it is so over the high side that ignorant doesn't quite describe the idea.

See the inconsistency?

We are all individually responsible to repent and enter into a right relationship with God. It is pretty arrogant for any individual to reject Christ as Lord God and Savior and claim that the problems in this world are someone else's fault

Not having close contact with any far leftists myself, I find his view to be fascinating.

But definitely intriguing.

Whatever my initial instinct suggests, it does seem only fair to form my opinion of Ducky based on personal interaction rather than the reports of others (regardless of how informed). Obama wants power over every industry, thereby the American people. What he fails to understand is, the top honcho takes the blame when things go wrong.

This is just another lesson in how incompetent the government is in being in charge of anything, except our military, and even that is tainted with political interference.

Compounding this bloated government chaos, is a President having missed the boat on what he could have done in the beginning of this. Purposeful, IMO.

He could have waived The Jones Act allowing help from other countries who offered their equipment and expertise.

He could have cut red tape, alleviating regulatory barriers, which left Louisiana and their Governor whistling in the wind, begging for permission needed for building sand berms to protect the coastline. No, the EPA had to do a study. Gee, weren't they watching TV?

He did neither. I think he wanted a crisis to forward his energy agenda called Cap and Trade, which was dying on the vine. Otherwise why drag his feet on this?

I think also, like most leftists, he and his army of radical PHDs didn't consider what could go wrong. In other words, unintended consequences when eveything is political, instead of problem solving.

Now, he's between a rock and a hard place. The problem is ongoing and for too long. But, it is't stopping him from his now common MO.

Demonize BP without even knowing the cause of the explosion. Assault the oil industry with a moratorium on drilling, costing thousands of jobs in the gulf area, and millions of barrels of oil. Making the entire problem worse.

Ahhhh, but never let a good crisis go to waste, right? Even if you have to compound it. He's on offense, setting up several bureaucrats along with BP, to take the fall if need be.

Then try to convince the American people we have to establish energy independence, all the while ensuring dependence on foreign oil and more of it.

And here we have the left wing talking heads of TV, wringing their hands and whining "Why?", and not mentioning once what Obama could've done right from the get-go, which was clearing the way for others to do their jobs.

These idiots believe the government is the be all and end all for eveything, and still don't get it.

They haven't a clue, that the government isn't the answer, the government is the problem.

For those who aren't fans of Snooki, Sarah's future running mate:

The cast of MTV's Jersey Shore may have moved out of New Jersey, but the tanned crew still seems to find trouble wherever they are.

According to Radaronline.com, star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi has gotten into another bar fight, while shooting an episode in Miami. According to witnesses, Snooks and costar Jenn "JWOWW" Farley were hanging out at club Oceans 10, when they were approached by a man trying to pick them up. When the girls turned him down, he allegedly stole Snooki's drink. Soon after, a friend of the Casanova came over to the girls' table and asked for an apology -- which sent Snooki into a rage. The poof-tastic reality star allegedly lunged at the guy, slapping him numerous times, then throwing food and drinks on him. The man reciprocated by dousing Snooki with his own cocktail.

Fortunately for us, MTV cameras were there catch the whole thing, which means we'll be seeing it all for ourselves when the new season of Jersey Shore premieres this summer.

Snooki is no stranger to bar altercations, as she was infamously punched off her bar stool while filming last season. The episode never ran on MTV due to its violent nature.

Well, I hate to nit-pick but:

condemn: v
1. to express strong disapproval of
2 to pronounce guilty, to convict.
3. to sentence
4.to destine to an unhappy fate
5. to declare unfit for use or uninhabitable

I'll concede that you have condemned no one in the sense of usages 2-5.

However, your professed confusion has led you to strongly disapprove of the right in one comment after another on this site.

I really don't understand what is exceptional about America. We've had our good days (some very good) and bad (some very bad) like any other nation.

You're right, America has had it's ups and downs.

Just a couple of points:

1. Bush did his job, and actually performed his Constitutional duty of keeping this country safe. Libs can whine about the cost all they want, but the cost wouldn't be nearly so taxing if we weren't trying to socialise everything else at the same time.
2. Liberals are mad at Obama because he's not fulfilling any of his promises, like taking away the ban on stabbing babies in the head with scissors on their way out of the womb, not pressing through a public option in the healthcare package, etc.
3. If people haven't figured out by now what a joke this president is, they simply are lying to themselves. Its that simple. He's not done one single thing that has benefited this country in any way, there is no tangible evidence that our economy is getting anything but worse, his heathcare package is a gateway to national healthcare, a system that has failed literally everywhere, and he would rather spend money trillions on pipe dream energy research that won't pay off for at least 15 years while the country goes bankrupt and pays 20$ for a gallon of gas.
