Symbolically, with your graphic, you've captured precisely the message I was attempting to convey to FT verbally in my Nietzsche post on "Ariadne's Lament". Thank you!

And when you hear there's "No War on Christmas"...remember this!

Christianity 'close to extinction' in Middle East.

Christianity faces being wiped out of the “biblical heartlands” in the Middle East because of mounting persecution of worshippers, according to a new report.

The study warns that Christians suffer greater hostility across the world than any other religious group.

And it claims politicians have been “blind” to the extent of violence faced by Christians in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

The most common threat to Christians abroad is militant Islam, it says, claiming that oppression in Muslim countries is often ignored because of a fear that criticism will be seen as “racism”.

It warns that converts from Islam face being killed in Saudi Arabia, Mauritania and Iran and risk severe legal penalties in other countries across the Middle East.

Imp, I have friends who are plugged into the mission field all over the world and, from places they couldn't have heard from, each are reporting that muslims in particular are dreaming of Jesus coming to them in their sleep...very wild.
MANY are becoming believers, as are millions of Chinese...
They can't talk about it, of course.
But, I'm hoping this is the case...what a better world this would be.

"no war on Christmas"? What a laugh. You can see how it's affecting America, can't you.
A fairly liberal relative of mine last night said "how can they call them HOLIDAY TREES when there IS only one holiday that celebrates with a tree?" he's apparently waking up :-)

Your illustration reminded me of this hymn introduced to me when I sang in an Episcopal Boys Choir at age eight.

1. Crown him with many crowns,
the Lamb upon his throne,
Hark! how the heavenly anthem drowns
all music but its own.
Awake, my soul, and sing
of him who died for thee,
and hail him as thy matchless King
through all eternity.

2. Crown him the Lord of life,
who triumphed o'er the grave,
and rose victorious in the strife
for those he came to save.
His glories now we sing,
who died, and rose on high,
who died, eternal life to bring,
and lives that death may die.

3. Crown him the Lord of peace,
whose power a scepter sways
from pole to pole, that wars may cease,
and all be prayer and praise.
His reign shall know no end,
and round his pierced feet
fair flowers of paradise extend
their fragrance ever sweet.

4. Crown him the Lord of love;
behold his hands and side,
those wounds, yet visible above,
in beauty glorified.
All hail, Redeemer, hail!
For thou hast died for me;
thy praise and glory shall not fail
throughout eternity.

There can be no joy without first experiencing sorrow. There can be no true love without constant sacrifice. There could be no Redemption were it not for Sin.

So it would do us well to remember that "ALL things work together for good to those who love God."

Life is a paradox. Accept it, enjoy it for what it is, and be grateful for the opportunities it provides.

Love to all, and Merry Christmas!

~ FT

Merry Christmas everybody. Lets pray for a better year this time around, but unfortunately the moronic American people bought into Obama's lies for 4 more years and we're stuck with it.

Imp, there's some confusion here as I read this article on Drudge. People my wife and I.support say the people of the Middle East are coming to Christ in droves. I heard one account that 2000 people at one.meeting alone.

@ElBro

I hope that's true but this source says ( and I can believe it with islamism rising ) that they're being run out. Remember sharia is crazy and anti everything...especially other faiths.

Z - We did have a wonderful Christmas. A Christmas Eve children's pagent and the kids all seemed to like what they got.

We welcomed in the Baby Jesus with
a snow storm today. It's so pretty out. Mr. Sue got to use his snow blower and it got a real workout!

I, too, have heard the same thing, Z. How very, VERY encouraging that there are so many coming to The Lord!

We need to give special thanks, and offer up our prayers, for those in the missionary fields all over the world. It's the missionary's work that has been spreading, when we hear of people coming out of almost inaccessible places to ask, "Tell me more of this man they call Jesus."

The graphic is OUTSTANDING!

You actually make it seem so easy along with your presentation
but I in finding this topic to be actually something that I believe I'd by no means understand. It sort of feels too complicated and extremely vast for me. I'm having a look forward on your next
publish, I will try to get the hang of it!

First of all I want to say great blog! I had a quick question that I'd like to ask if you don't mind.
I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your
thoughts prior to writing. I've had a tough time clearing my mind in getting my ideas out there. I do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints? Appreciate it!
