You know FOX's talk show, THE FIVE....Bob Beckel, Dana Perino, Greg Gutfeld, Andrea Tantaros, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Juan Williams....depending on which five is available that day, I guess.
What FIVE people would you prefer do a political talk show? I'd like to know!

This caused me to think while since nearly everyone on the left seem so far removed from reality it's hated to think of anyone I could listen to without throw my shoe at the TV.
Here goes.
Number ine is Charkes Krauthamer. I don't think anyone can ever bet him on a logical argument. Clearly the smartest man on TV
Bill Clinton. Fifteen years ago I never would have thought I would think of him as a reasonable man. If we could get him to get off the party line and just have a good discussion I think it would be interesting
Chris Christie. Nothing entertains me more s to when Christie is destroying some pampered public sector employee whining over having to contribute $12 to their health insurance cost.
Condi Rice. She needs no explanation.
I struggle to find another liberal. I want to throw in someone like Maxine Waters because she is such an idiot but the comedic value would wear out after the first episode. So I'll go with Diane Feinstein.
If we could get her to speak without the party making her backtrack everything she said, it might be interesting. I found a bit of respect for her outrage over th security leaks from the Whtie House. Of course she was properly reprimanded into saying she didn't KNOW that they were coming from the White House. Before she was properly chastised by the left, I glimpsed that she might actually have a brain in her head.
That would out the panel at 3/2 versus The Five's 4/1 tilt.
Bob Beckel just is too angry most of the time, at least Juan Williams can argue and still laugh.
I could listen to Dana Perino tell stories of her experience all day long.
Carrying over from your last post. If I was a guy I would be in love with Dana Perino. Not beautiful but an approachable cute AND smart.
Stupid IPad, try to read what I mean, not what I type.
I could care less about the five.
I wait for Bret Baier at six pm.
I get Krauthammer, Hume, Byron York, The All-Star Panel.
Then I can leave the room.
Can we find five Bill Whittles?
Karl Marx, George Orwell, Orson Bean, Dennis Miller and Jesus Christ.
You, me, Silverfiddle, AOW and Ducky.
The four of us could not be out argued by Ducky. He'd lose every time.
Joe! ONE of us could not be out-argued by Ducky :=)
SF...I love your five SO much. Coincidentally, I'm seeing Orson's wife this morning and will definitely tell her to tell him :-)
Cons on Fire... Bill Whittle; EXCELLENT choice (s) :-)
Ed...that's a good group.
Rita, I think Dana Perino IS rather beautiful.
Did you hear her recently when she was talking about Jay Carney and said she went to the podium to face the press corps thinking "I don't want to let President Bush down"? What a class act. We don't have many people who think like that anymore; it's "all for oneself"
Condi is an excellent choice..good one, Rita. Christie lost me TOTALLY with his sucking up to Obama. I don't care HOW much NJ needed; people still remember his saying HOW WONDERFUL OBAMA IS when, really, who the heck wouldn't have said "Sure, Chris, we'll help you guys out after the hurricane"! BIG DEAL. Words are cheap...then Obama leaves and there are still AWFUL problems in that area and it took weeks to get help even for those now finally helped! what a joke.
Clinton's ego's too much for me....that man is nothing BUT ego. makes me shiver but, you're right, he's reasonable compared to the Marxist in the WH.
Amy Goodman
Matthew Rothschild
Matt Taibbi
Glenn Greenwald
Paul Krugman
I'd have a special feature called Get in the Pit which would feature a conservative pundit.
First up would be (m)Ann Coulter
@Rita -- Condi Rice. She needs no explanation.
-------
Why not?
The grifter conned you suckers into the war with Iraq? You ever learn?
Let's have a list of Auntie Condo's great ideas.
Ducky, typical; all liberals. FOX doesn't operate that way with all conservatives.
As for Condi? Don't look now but she didn't con US into anything...Democrats and Republicans went into Iraq.
Ann Coulter..love it. She'd chew them up and spit them out. Perfect.
that you'd pick Taibi is telling.
You desperately need balance; it's a lot smarter a way to go.
Come on, z. Coulter jamming with Taibbi would be like Brady against the Houston pass defense.
well, she probably has the class with which not to call a dead man a douche bag like your hero did, but as you laughingly said the other day, echoing my point for years to you: just because you don't like someone or disagree with them doesn't make them either unlikable or stupid. Trust me.
She's tough...I'd love to see a 'mano a mano' with Taibi. I know she loves this country, and that might be an impediment to your enjoyment, but it could be a good show.
Remove Bombastic Beckel and add someone down-to-earth. Joe the Plumber comes to mind. Leave the rest intact.
Jon,did you hear Beckel ranting WE WON WE WON to Tantaros this morning? After their sparring you could hear him start it up again WE WON GET OVER IT WE WON GET OVER IT as it went into commercial.
And when he jumps on any opportunity to remind us he's a recovering alcoholic and knows how to have sex with multiple partners, he makes my skin crawl. What a badge of honor...as if those things aren't easy to do?
Beckel, allegedly, "teaches" at George Washington University; arguably, the most expensive university in the US. Does anyone seriously wonder what's wrong with this Country? I bet that I could find a more astute person in any neighborhood bar @ 11:00 AM!
Ducky's choices are balanced...
Left and far loony left.
Z: I love it when Orson Bean is on Dennis Miller.
He's such an entertaining and interesting man. Most stars of today lack that intelligence and touch of class that makes them interesting and gracious conversationalists.
JonBerg..that line about the bar is HILARIOUS! You're so right.
He has a ton of experience with all the campaigns he's done, etc., and 'they' say that he's a very 'nice guy' and 'a good friend' but what he shows on TV is less than agreeable...to me, anyway.
And ya...imagine him teaching minds already clamped pretty tight in the far leftwing corner by the media and high school teachers?
Silverfiddle; well said.
And I'm sorry I can't comment at your place during office hours because you don't take Anonymous comments. I wouldn't either if I wanted to make it complicated for me to comment here on my work computer. (please, no instructions, anybody, I know how, just don't want to!)
My favorite Orson Bean line of all time is when he told me he was standing back stage as a young man with another live radio actor he was doing a scene with...there were live ads in those days, too, and they were listening to the the actors talking....the ad was probably for SANKA, because it was the first decaf and the actor asked Orson "Why do you suppose they leave the 3% caffeine in it?" (ads always said "only 3% caffeine back then)...and Orson came back with "so we don't drop the cup!"
LOVE LOVE LOVE
that's Z above, obviously!
"What glorious company!O"
SF...here's Orson's email response to your comment which I emailed him this am.
xx
Z
It is enticing to imagine an independent discussion show. Ignoring the fact that you'd have to get a neutral funding source but we can dream.
If I were going to do this I'd work on climate change. Just pound on it because once you make inroads there the whole fringe right house of cards falls.
You puncture the ideas that the private sector is an absolute solution.
You puncture the idea that there are problems which don't absolutely demand community to solve.
"There is no such thing as society"
--- Margaret Thatcher
You expose the truly bleak and cynical mind set of the laissez-faire warriors.
Crack this and all you have left on the far right are the religious extremists waiting for the end times.
Harold Lloyd, Buster Keaton, Rudolph Valentino, Lillian Gish and Louis Brooks.
Acta non Verba!
Z:
Oooooh, Ducky. You've again displayed your conceited myopia of "if they don't agree with ME, they're WRONG"
What's incomprehensible is that you read this blog and others and actually believe what you say you do.
Climate change would wither and die if the cold, cruel light of day was shone on it. Did you know Mockton was thrown out of a conference for even attempting to present his views? (he was on Gore's side till the facts showed him different and, trust me, he's not gained financially for telling the truth)..Not only that, I believe they stripped him of his credentials; typical leftists of the 'open mind' set.
Nobody ever said "private sector" was the "absolute" solution but Beamish. Wake up. Read. Learn.
The American dream we all celebrated and profited from morally, financially and ethically, all these years is over thanks to people like you; rejoice. But be very careful what you ask for.
Thanks to YOUR type, we have immigrants who don't want to be AMericans but just want to take the entitlements you dopes promised them.
Thanks to YOUR type, kids are putting condoms on bananas instead of learning to read and GREEN is taking up class time from MATH.
Thanks to YOUR type, we have a war again between the races which had pretty much improved before Obama. And leftists still think we hate women (I AM a woman..go figure).
Thanks to YOUR type, our country's suffering from lack of reverence and it's all about the EGO instead of something bigger than ourselves..
Thanks to YOUR type, every hero our healthy culture grew up emulating has been belittled.
Thanks to YOUR type, we have no honest media and pravda-type media rules.
Thanks to YOUR type...
maybe others can continue the list. I have work to do.
...but now I repeat myself:
"It is precisely the purpose of the public opinion generated by the press to make the public incapable of judging, to insinuate into it the attitude of someone irresponsible, uninformed." - Walter Benjamin
"Democracy is the art and science of running the circus from the monkey cage." - HL Mencken
Thanks to YOUR type, kids are putting condoms on bananas instead of learning to read and GREEN is taking up class time from MATH.
--------
Massachusetts 8th graders just tested and came out among the tops in the world.
And we have a strong teachers union. Imagine that.
Thanks to YOUR type, our country's suffering from lack of reverence
----
Reverence for what?
If you mean thanks to my type we are not a nation of evangelicals I humbly accept that honor.
From Z:
Ducky, and I'm sure they're not indoctrinated toward the left, too. Congratulations, Massachusetts...
You're so delusional.
A strong teachers' union doesn't mean ALL teachers aren't smart, Ducky, just the powerful and pushy ones.
Hopefully, things will be improving in Michigan now that they've joined the 24 states who have RIGHT TO WORK and are succeeding so much better than the rest of them, huh?
Can you tell me where any commenter, or I, has ever talked about wanting a country of evangelicals? thanks.
better go get another banana for the condoms, Ducky.
http://news.yahoo.com/gops-boehner-says-obama-slow-walking-cliff-talks-180429101.html
that might be one of the most dishonest articles I've ever seen..absolutely unbelievable.
By the way, why is Boehner's quote "Let's be honest, we're broke" newsworthy for a Yahoo headline? THAT's probably news to liberals who look to Yahoo for their information, but REALLY? That's NEWS?...or just a chance to make Boehner sound pessimistic and defeatist in print?
Z: this is how CLUELESS this president is:
REDFORD, Mich. (AP) — President Barack Obama says right-to-work legislation in Michigan is more about politics than economics. He is criticizing a measure that would prevent requiring non-union employees to financially support unions at their workplace.
Obama received loud applause at a Michigan engine plant when he said we shouldn't be "taking away your rights to bargain for better wages and working conditions."
The president says that the right-to-work bills are more about "giving you the right to work for less money."
The Michigan House and Senate approved the legislation last week. Democrats have urged Republican Gov. Rick Snyder to veto the measure that he has pledged to sign.
The Republican-controlled Legislature is expected to take final action on the bills as early as Tuesday
Z: I guess nobody's had the guts to remind him how many states with RIGHT TO WORK are doing MUCH better than those who don't.
This is America and people are forced to pay union dues if they want to work? And then suffer the padding of only one party's pockets with their dues?
REALLY? Astonishing.
"CLUELESS"
Yes indeed!
"Obama received loud applause at a Michigan engine plant when he said we shouldn't be "taking away your rights to bargain for better wages and working conditions."
B.O. is either "clueless" or he thinks everybody else is or BOTH! If it's the latter he's, at least, 51% correct.
Franklin, Lincoln, Lenin, Hitler, and Winston Churchill!
According to Ms. Perino one of the reasons the MI governor pushed the RTW legislation is because they are losing businesses to........Indiana.
Mitch Daniels managed to get RTW passed here early last year after the D's ran and hid for weeks in IL to prevent the majority state Congress from voting on the bill. When they could no longer stay away, the bill passed and now we are getting the businesses for the non-RTW states.
The unions don't care whether the states are losing businesses. They only care about their thugs staying in power.
Crowder got cold cocked by a union thug. Violence is all they know. Ask Bob Beckel who was defending the thug slugging Stevem Crowder. I hope he sues the idiot.

FROM Z:
Rita, he got HIT, literally? Today?? I hadn't heard about that if it was in the past...am at work so I didn't hear if it was today. Holy cow.
FT, that is a VERY fascinating panel! I loved getting input on this from all of you.....interesting, isn't it?
JonBerg...thank you! yes, I'd heard that 24 states have RTW and those states have a lower jobless level...coincidence? Of course not.
I really appreciate your showing those facts.
William F Buckley
Aristotle
Thomas Jefferson
George S Patton
Al Sharpton
Gotta have someone there to make fun of.
Yes Z. Today. He got slugged three or four times. All on tape with Crowder not in any way touching the thug before he was hit.
He's now been ID'd and Crowder is saying he won't sue if the thug will agree to a fair bout with the proceeds going to charity.
SF. Like your picks.
Ok, if we're talking about people who are alive today, then the five would be:
4 men/women who have suffered under socialism and obama without a teleprompter or a receiver.
That would be absolutely hilarious and well worth the price of admission.
Global COOLING would put us in....
Acid Rain would do.....
Global warm--er---climate change,
they have to change something, again, nothing they say ever comes true!
What will these idiots DREAM UP NEXT?
Not you Duck - you did not dream up these ignorant flim-flam Crony Capital SCAMS; hire all the Lodge Members kids and relatives, give the tax payers money to start/fund erroneous GREEN COMPANIES.
It's all a scam---follow the Money!
Trees cut down in Wales, and counting tree rings back to the 550's seemed to bare out the story of King Aurthur, about all the plant life dieing-from what? Climate Change? Man Made back then?
Oh, James Carval and his wife, Peggy Noonan, and Jane Harman.
Those voices ---like fingernails down a chalkboard.
@Rita
" Crowder is saying he won't sue if the thug will agree to a fair bout with the proceeds going to charity..."
Idiot...Michigan is a right to carry state. Down here ( I know Rita you're on the west coast of FlaDuh ) but it's still the same on the East coast...the asshole would have been shot dead like St. Skittles in a George Zimmerman faceoff.
Thugs deserve to be treated like thugs...preferably with a 9mm.
Charity event my butt...get in a ring and...what did Obummer say....??? They bring a fist...you bring a gun?
IMP. No way Man ! .40 cal Springfield Amory XDM
No Imp. I'm in Indiana. We have a vacation home on the west coast of FloDuh so I only see it a couple weeks out if the year.
I live in Mitch Daniels/Mike Pence country. We passed RTW right before we hosted the Superbowl this year. The union thugs tried protesting that week during huge crowds and they didn't garner any fans I can tell you.
They only tried it one day and I think they figured out if they kept interfering with downtown foot traffic it would likely turn into a free for all and they would lose.
@Kid...
"MP. No way Man ! .40 cal Springfield Amory XDM..."
Showoff snob!!! Can't get 40 cal ( although it's standard for our cops ) everywhere bud...9's are easy to get.
So are .380's as a fallback....Bersa CC for carry here. The XD is way too much for under a shirt.
@Rita
I knew that. Just though you might be down on the west side this time of year...wouldn't blame you....it's a terribly cold 77 here today.
Ahhh Imp, you just had to make me want to smack you on the arm didn't cha?
I love that show, as for Chris Matthews, I don’t know what race Chris Matthews belongs to, but whatever it is, it’s obviously not the human one.
I know people who were there and carrying.
I'm glad they didn't pull.
I might have.

It's a 16+1 too. 4.5 barrel, but I can find somewhere to hide it. Maybe.
Mark Steyn,Keep Dana Perino,I'm with Silver on Dennis Miller,Ann Coulter,Thomas Sowell, Charles Krauthammer
