So true...so sadly true.........and so clever!

Seems so reasonable, a "no brainer".....but:

2012 USA Proverb Revision :
Give a man a welfare check, a free cell phone, cash for his clunker, food stamps, section 8 housing, free contraceptives, Medicaid, ninety-nine weeks of unemployment, free meds, and he will vote for Democrats the rest of his life; --- even after he's dead.

So true....so cleverly put.

Ok, try this on "BING". I know that I've referenced this before but what better for a response to this one, as well.

Give a man a a pair of Air Jordan sneakers. a welfare check for life, a free cell phone, cash for clunker autos, food stamps for his booze, lottery tickets, and Big Macs , section 8 housing, free contraceptives, Medicaid, unemployment checks for 5 years and then extend it to 10 years, a 20 ounce Pepsi cola every day, access to drugs, and he will vote Democrat for a lifetime.

Can I sign up for all of those goodies and still vote Republican? Or is there a law against that?

"...and he will vote for Democrats the rest of his life; even after he's dead."

That was the plan from the beginning.

You have uncovered the secret of the leftist, progressive liberal mantra.

As the latest photo released by the WH shows, President BO (who "shoots skeets all the time") believes lies are a good thing.

In this case the lie is "You can get something for nothing."

It's clear to see that WAS the plan from the beginning...And it didn't take long to screw up a whole generation of two to stop believing in the self-reliance and independence that made America, and Americans, great, did it.

"The philosophy of the school room in one generation will be the philosophy of the gov't in the next." Abraham Lincoln.
Pretty prescient, I'd say.

They dumbed us down in school to not appreciate God and Country and a Freedom which didn't have room for big government...and voila.

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to grab all that's free...

The wretched refuse of your teeming failed, crime ridden, drug infested countries & shores

Send these, the criminals, border jumpers and gangs tempest-tossed to me..

I lift my lamp beside that golden welfare door!

I once saw a cartoon that showed the Statue of Liberty and the caption was "I said 'give me your huddled masses, not your befuddled asses!" :)

Of course, most immigrants who came in through Ellis Island were legal and not befuddled (anything but...as they built this country), but..it's a pretty good line for today's entitlement seekers.

Frankly, if the Welfare State was successful I might support it. HOWEVER, because liberals put more emphasis on good intentions, rather than outcomes, we will never see even a modicum of success.
The Welfare State has not only created MORE "poor" people, more hopelessness, more entitlists...it has also created a microcosm of crime and irresponsible behavior that has utterly destroyed entire cities!
It is a nefarious perpetual motion machine of failure.
If you were to ask me WHY I DESPISE liberals so much (and I do), it is because of this. The children who grow up without hope, without stability, without any idea of the notion of personal responsibility. These children SUFFER greatly and because they know no better, they raise their children the same way.

President Obama will travel to Israel next month, the White House confirmed Tuesday. According to Israeli media Obama is scheduled to arrive March 20

Yet another self-promoting vanity tour by the POTUS. There will be platitudes, homilies, lofty exhortations, and photo opportunities for all, but the visit will not alter the situation on the ground one iota. Better for BHO to remain in town and save the money this trip will cost the taxpayers.

Andie,

My sentiments, exactly!

This costs the "taker" plenty. Some day as they look back, they'll realize they were robbed of their pride, dignity, and the chance to earn more, make something of themselves, and worst of all, their lives were meaningless.

This is nothing more than having to live on the left's plantation. They get just enough to keep them there.

Their masters are those who have no respect for those who work hard which leads to independence and the ability to choose, on their own, what the meaning of character building is all about.

In other words the left will cheat those who take, of being in charge of their own lives, and use them. They will be destined to do what the Govt. says they must. Like children.

What the Govt. giveth, the Govt. can taketh away!

Well Divine Theater, they are a bit more charitable but they really don;t think much of you either.

Especially when you sit around painting furniture while you leech cop husband mooches of the state.

Happy Black History Month Everybody

Here are some things my White friends BETTER NOT discuss during Black History Month!
Don't remind people that President Obama is still the President.
Don't tell me about how rappers are a "bad influence.
Don't bitch about the president being friends with Basketball players and rappers.
Don't remind me that Michelle Obama has a big rear-end.
And don't tell me that OJ Simpson is Guilty.

JonBerg said...

"they are a bit more charitable" WITH OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY, OF COURSE!

Z said...

Ducky, you're accusing Divine's husband of mooching off the state? What information do you have? Or do all cops mooch off the state according to you? Where do you GET OFF?
"sit around painting furniture?" My, you're sounding a tad jealous...why?

Pamela, I don't much care if presidents are friends with celebs; I do care when they weigh in on unpresidential things like football injuries. Most presidents didn't demean the office by weighing in on nonconsequentials, particularly when they were ignoring JOB CREATION but, I guess if you're busy ignoring things that ARE important, it's good to weigh in on things inconsequential.

I suppose that since most of the media won't ask him much beyond football, what else CAN he weigh in on? He's not going to bring up his administration's shortcomings, or no budget in four years (illegal) or not creating new jobs...or...or....or...

You post is indicative of the ill informed and hateful rhetoric coming from 'I got mine, so F*#k you.' wingnuts.

And Pamela Mitchell's post nicely point to the racial underpinnings of it all.

z, what would you suggest Obama do to promote job growth, I'd like to know especially since you reject any Keynesian fiscal policy.

Little more supply side? That got us in this mess.

So what do you suggest he do? Start a war in Pakistan and boom up defense spending?

"Or, on the other hand, the plane could always crash!"

Doubt that'll happen. More than likely the Israeli DF will fly out a half dozen fighter escorts when he gets close enough. Then AF1 will do steep spirals from FL250 over the airfield to avoid the most likely scenario....shoulder fired SAM's from Hamas or Hezzbollah.

If they do the steep spirals and turns about a point....I guarantee most of the passengers will need barf bags.

Here's hoping the press barfs all over the upholstery on the way down.

JonBerg said...

"you reject any Keynesian fiscal policy."

Why, the nerve! Do you mean that someone rejects printing billions in valueless paper money? Perhaps such unbelievers should look at the amazing success that the "printing press" has had in, say, Post WW1 Germany or Hungary, just to mention a couple. Yeah, I guess some just don't get it! Let's just stick with Keynes and everything will be just fine.

I would also like to take a moment to point out how quickly the liberal resorted to ad hominem when confronted with harsh reality. I will wager he did not even read the entire post...just the part where he got to be offended.
Remember what I said yesterday about faux indignation moving mountains?
Liberals don't think-they feel. This isn't therapy, Duck...I couldn't care less how this makes you feel...

Ducky...I'm sick of your Calvinist crap. You obviously don't understand it, so I wouldn't label people with it who aren't.

Divine...you're not going to defend you husband to this CREEP who feels all cops are mooching fascists? (actually, the fascist part is pretty leftwing, but...Ducky doesn't understand that, either)

Ducky, keep the insults up....type your fingers to the bone, I'm deleting until you can stop the insulting. Thanks!!

I wonder if God might consider granting that wish if enough prayed real hard for it?

It wouldn't do much good to teach them how to fish anyway. They'd still expect us to bait the line, take the fish off, clean the damned things, cook them, AND even do the dishes after the meal! Lazy bastard libturds don't take ANY responsibility for anything except beng assholes, and they do that extremely well!

The mortal blow was not fatal, Ducky. Soon we can carry our money in wheel barrows and we can feel rich again. During Eisenhower, the cost of living actually went down with great amount federal spending. If it is "real" as opposed to inflated dollars, the feds do no harm.
