What's up?

I'm lazy today, plus I'm doing this from the office because I've got more computer problems.

SO, you tell me:  What in the news is bugging you the absolute MOST?

What bugs me is seeing Yahoo Headlines that "Jennifer Lopez makes cupcakes for her twins"...like we have nothing else to worry about?
THIS is exactly why I named this blog "GeeeeeeZ.."!!   GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ!

Well, I featured Joan Collins, the 79-year-old temptress today thinking it was a lightweight, totally air-headed topic, because we NEED some diversion from Dire Threats, "Diversity," Ranting on about "Racism," and Political Correctness.

Well, it turns out that Collins has a LOT more going for her than I had imagined.

For one thing -- believe it or not -- she's a staunch CONSERVATIVE and great admirer of MRS. THATCHER, a tireless worker and a very generous contributor to several medical charities and other benevolent organizations.

I'm fed up with all the "serious" news, because it is NOT serious. It's nothing but leftist propaganda -- OR shrieking exaggerated horror stories from Right Wing Radio which has become a caricature of itself.

Very frankly I'm sick to death of all the yelling and screaming, cursing, moaning, incessant hyperbole and INSOLENCE from ALL sides.

Is it any wonder that old Shirley Temple movies have begun to look like Manna from heaven to me? ;-)

I feel like you do about all of that, FT!!
I watched DOUBLE INDEMNITY last night and felt like I was in such a better world: and that involves murder and betrayal! :-)

I read two articles that suggest that the government has been holding hearings and is laying the groundwork for seizing our retirements.

Those asinine rumors have been around for some time, Elmo.

Send those articles over EB. I wouldn't be surprised. They may as well seize our bank accounts so we can find an excuse for sending some people back to the guillotine.

I started reading the news for the first time in maybe 2 weeks and I had to stop after 20 seconds. As soon as I saw Obama was whining the Republicans were like bad parents trying to prevent him from playing with his toys, I had to stop. I can't stand the constant victimhood. I listened to a bit of Denis Prager today and he was going on and on about Christ Matthews going crazy on the sequester. I had to stop that too. This stuff is such a life waster and joy killer.

You know what it comes down to: we have people in the media and in government that are just freaking useless. Those people in the private sector, without politicking in a corporate environment, would be fired pretty quickly for lack of results. All they can do is talk, bullshit, spin, scream (for Matthews) and that's it. We're led to the grave by a bunch of useless people. It's pretty sad. Unless we stop paying attention to them, especially by giving them ratings or page views, hence revenues.

Who gives a crap what stupid actors do? I sure don't.

My biggest pet peeve right now the gun control issue and Benghazi still being ignored.

Oh, and the hilarity of the Left with Rubio's "watergate." LOL!

Have a blessed weekend, my dear friend.

Today's news didn't have much to bother me, though my news.google page Omits entertainment, sports and health.

I did recently find out that the stimulus bill has add-on's for the HC bill and for sure, those over 70 will not receive health care. Someone also told me those under 3 won't either. So, if you're over 70, pain pills and that's it buddy. I wonder what happens if you break your leg at 71, do they fix it?

And someone tell me again how the gov cares about the Newtown kids.

The other "kids", the obama supporters are totally unaware of this and everything else. We ask them.

How can I type this and not swear? Damned if I know.

I've also heard about the government taking over and managing 401k's. Who wants to bet they lose the money somewhere.
I've heard about them discussing 100% inheritance taxes.
I've seen England discuss in government the idea of taking people's "unneeded wealth" as a one time tax to help out with their constant failure economic system.

Doubt the 401k takeover? Here is the history of the government's management of retirement programs.

Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social
Security (FICA) Program. He promised:

1) That participation in the Program would be
completely voluntary, and that an account would be setup in YOUR Name.

No longer Voluntary, no longer in your name.

2) That the participants would only have to pay
1% of the first $1,400 of their annual
incomes into the Program,

Now 7.65%
On the first $110,000.

3) That the money the participants elected to put
into the Program would be deductible from
their income for tax purposes each year,

No longer tax deductible

4) That the money the participants put in went to the
Independent 'Trust Fund' rather than into the
General Operating Fund, and therefore, would
only be used to fund the Social Security
Retirement Program, and no other
Government program, and,

Under Johnson the money was moved to
The General Fund and spent.

5) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed
as income.

Under Clinton & Gore
up to 85% of your Social Security can be taxed.

Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are
now receiving a Social Security check every month --
and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of
the money we paid to the Federal government to 'put
away -- you may be interested in the following:

------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- ----

Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the
Independent 'Trust Fund' and put it into the
General Fund so that Congress could spend it?

A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the Democratically
controlled House and Senate.

------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --

Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax
deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?

A: The Democratic Party.

------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- -----

Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social
Security annuities?

A: The Democratic Party with Al Gore casting the
'tie-breaking' deciding vote as President of the
Senate, while he was Vice President of the U.S.

------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- -

Q: Which Political Party decided to start
giving annuity payments to immigrants?

(AND MY FAVORITE): A: That's right!

Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party.

Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65,
began to receive Social Security payments! The
Democratic Party gave these payments to them,
even though they never paid a dime into it!

------------ -- ------------ --------- ----- ------------ --------- ---------

Then, after violating the original contract (FICA),
the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans
want to take your Social Security away!
After paying into SS all your life, you’ll get SS checks
that actually say Entitlement on them – If you’re lucky.

Yahoo did an article that wasn't about gay marriage? I must have missed that one.

Current peeve: youtube hasn't posted a video of Fox Red Eye for about a week.

France and Argentina have either over taxed or seized them in their entirety.

France overtaxes everything so that's nothing new but they haven't seized retirements. The French social security is the only option anyway. There's no private retirement unless you save for yourself, but it isn't really retirement, just savings or investing.

But they are cutting retirement benefits by eliminating some conditions. My mom is losing over a hundred euros per month.

Add on top of that the fact you are now required to get a private health insurance to complement the gov one and that's a hit for elderlies.

FrogBurger, I know you're busy and haven't a big interest in 'doing your own thing' but I think you'd be a BIG HIT if you had a blog called something like "Here's France's situation...You're next, America..."

MAYBE even liberals would finally understand how big spending and big taxing just doesn't work; point by point; as they arise in the news.

You have such good information and such good knowledge of history.

When I lived in France, I was shocked at how very well French kids learn the true history of their country and are raised with patriotism no matter what the leftwingers say or do. Heck, I think the leftwingers still at least love France, too, non?

Here, it's all about changing our history to have no context at all so the left can demonize anybody American... I heard a teacher the other day mention Washington and made sure he reminded the group he was talking to about how he had slaves...very subtle...it had NO BEARING on the conversation about Washington AT ALL but he squeezed it in!

A country can't live long when its children are learned to disdain its past; particularly when it's been THE SHINING COUNTRY ON THE EARTH for the last 250 years, with all other countries' people practically dying to get in.

Today? they come only for our hand outs because that's all we are; a big stupid country of big handouts and free cell phones and disunity.

Maybe it's none of my business but it sure sounds like a great idea to me. Nevertheless, FB you offer invaluable insight into the consequences of over reliance on government, from a very practical, real life, perspective with your frequent and sage comments right here!
