10.. Stop giving away our money to foreign countries!
We need it here!  Charge them, not us for our help!
  11.. Fix the TAX CODE!
12.. And most of all "RESPECT OUR MILITARY AND OUR FLAG!"

I got that in an email last night............you agree with most of them?

Well, Obama is gone in 2016, so there's that. God has never resided in America, he resides in the hearts and minds of those who profess a belief in him. Being adamantly against the 'war on drugs' puts me in at least some opposition to mandatory drug screening, and our military deserves respect when their members act respectably.

Other than that, I can get behind the rest.

I've been fortunate enough to have experienced many of the things that would be on a bucket list, so I haven't really detailed anything I could point to, but perhaps others will give me some ideas.

The Question Man said...

The right likes to claim that Obama set race relations back, but in my opinion, he has helped move race relations forward by forcing the racists out of the woodwork and exposed the virulent bigotry that still infects too many Americans.
The internet has also helped to expose the extremists by giving them an anonymous platform to spout their divisive, racist rhetoric, but the interminable ugliness of their words tends to turn people off in the end.
The world is moving toward a new struggle between civilization and barbarism, and the racists are on the wrong side of history.
Some people advocate muzzling them, but I think that allowing them to spout their rhetoric will better reveal them for what they are.
The right-wing demagogues and extremists today remind me of the McCarthy era, and I think that the public will again reject the stunted diet of hate and intolerance that the right wants to impose on the US.

He is not a Communist. Feel free to point out how he has taken private industry and possessions away from everyone and divided them between everyone and then resigned his Presidency.
Barack is a Big liar but his lying is not pathological, I’ll admit that, but you scumbags have NO right to call Obama a liar considering how you use tired old GOP talking points smear job lie about President Obama over something!

No, the President does not hate America and the President is not destroying America! Since he has taken office, unemployment is down the stock market is up. Our military is still stronger than the next 15 countries combined. Perhaps you could be specific about what you think he has destroyed. And remember, in most cases, Congress has to do it first.
You all may chose to ridicule progressives like Shaw Kenawe. The Field Negro, and Malcolm Bondon, but that only goes to show how dumb, bigoted, and prejudiced you are.
No doubt about it! anyone who hates this man IS a racist, I believe that firmly!

Dave Miller said...

Why do both sides of the aisle have people that show no respect for bloggers and their readers with regards to the topic? Come on guys, if you want to post about Shaw and her readers, do it there, or better yet, on your own blog.

Z, as for the bucket list... I've always dreamed of.raftingbthe Colorado River...

QM - "He is not a Communist."

Of course he's not a Communist. But he's a poor President. He should have been voted out in 2012, but much to our national shame*, he wasn't.

* [Our shame should also include not being able to run any viable opposition with a pulse and a new idea.]

The Value of Free Speech
If you are an American, this is one of the most valuable rights afforded to you a citizen of the United States. Freedom of speech. It has been throughout history tested and tried, but it stood the test of time. People say, "My government infringes on my right to freedom of speech!" well, I would count my blessings if I were you. China does not value that right, and will without hesitation take it from you. It is getting to that point here, with the NSA watching what you do on the internet and who you call on the phone. Our freedom of speech is now in danger, in China it's gone. A chilling reminder of our future if we allow it to happen. returned to the United States of America. You asked, so you shall receive:

I have been working on The Variations and Fugue on a Theme of Handel off and on since the age of fifteen. It's an enormously challenging work for solo piano -- one the the so-called "Monuments" in piano literature.

Having learned and performed hundreds of other major works over the years with considerable success it bothers me that I never completed The Handel-Brahms.

Recent efforts in that direction have been encouraging, despite the problems posed by advancing age, failing eyesight, and an arthritic condition peculiar to instrumentalists that comes and goes at odd intervals.

About one month ago friends came over to hear some playing, and after giving them a complete Beethoven Sonata and a Chopin group, which includedan etude (Opus 10, #11), a nocturne (Opus 27, #2), the C#-Minor Waltz, Opus 12, # 2 (The Revolutionary Etude) and The Minute Waltz, I went ahead and played 12 of the 24 Brahms variations and the last two pages of the Fugue (I often work from back to front or center out), and everything went like clockwork.

Progress, however, has been very slow since that pleasant afternoon "musicale."

SO, the main thing in my "bucket" is to finish learning those variations and give a complete performance before senility sets in. Handel-Brahms functions right now as the carrot on the stick that keeps this old donkey on the move. ;-)

Aside from that, I'd like to be able to put together a 100% Guaranteed-Effective Suicide Kit to keep with me in case Hillary Clinton really does get to be our next president.

Z,

You have presented a great list. I suggest adding:

13..Fixing our K-12 Education System by, for example, expanding the "Voucher System" to allow parents and students a choice away from the scholastically failing, sociallistic indoctrination so rampant in today's Public Education.

"NO freebies to Non-Citizens."

I would say no freebies to ANY able bodied person, citizen or not. Those who have paid for or earned a "benefit" should get the "benefit." Those able bodied persons who have not paid for or earned them, should not get them.

Otherwise, I agree completely.

Question Man is one of the most vile racial supremacists around. I have trouble believing someone is that dumb.

I suppose I would meet lots of people like him if I went to a Farrakhan meeting or KKK meeting, but I avoid those.

------------------

Lets deal with his attempts at points one by one:

"The right likes to claim that Obama set race relations back, but in my opinion, he has helped move race relations forward by forcing the racists out of the woodwork and exposed the virulent bigotry that still infects too many Americans."

You are a prime example of this racism and bigotry. You and everyone else who thinks that Obama should be above the criticism due every President just because of his race.

"The internet has also helped to expose the extremists by giving them an anonymous platform to spout their divisive, racist rhetoric..."

Your comment was a perfect example of this.

"The world is moving toward a new struggle between civilization and barbarism"

And it is leaving you and your racist hatred behind.

"and the racists are on the wrong side of history."

That's you.

"Some people advocate muzzling them, but I think that allowing them to spout their rhetoric will better reveal them for what they are."

Of course, you love spouting it, why would you want it stopped?

"The right-wing demagogues and extremists today remind me of the McCarthy era"

How? There is no evidence.

"He is not a Communist."

No, he is not. He is just an incompetent leftist who has presided over millions and millions of Americans losing their jobs.

"...but you scumbags have NO right to call Obama a liar considering how you use tired old GOP talking points smear job lie about President Obama over something!"

We simply point out what Obama says that is not true.

"...the President is not destroying America! Since he has taken office, unemployment is down"

The opposite is true. Unemployment is up due to his policies, and millions have left the workforce.

"the stock market is up...."

Rich investors benefit, yes. But it only shows Obama is a king of crony capitalism.

"Our military is still stronger than the next 15 countries combined."

But it is weaker than it should be.
"
No doubt about it! anyone who hates this man IS a racist, I believe that firmly!"

That is proof of your own racism and supremacy, to claim that disliking a man for his bad policies is not allowed because this man is Black.

You are a plant.

CI...God isn't AMerican? :-) Gee, we all thought he was. Where'd that come from?
Obama is gone in 2016 but ask any economist and the damage is done. We will probably lose private insurers, too, which probably will lead to single payer...which was the whole goal of the left, anyway.
And we're losing jobs like crazy which will be very difficult to get back if we follow with the economics this pres. has hoisted on us.
Cleveland Clinic's letting go hundreds (though Obama used them as his gold standard for his "care" program in 2009) and many hospitals are rumored to be having to do the same.
Nobody on the left quite understands we can't afford this 'affordable' health care program and neither can most businesses. It's a tragedy.
Also, he's trying to close down coal now with the higher 'environmental standards'...I guess his goal is to force us into dependency on Arab and Iranian countries for oil if it's the very LAST thing he's going to do.
one wonders.
Ci..by the way..I'm a little weary of "he is not a communist"..none of us think he's a card-carrying Communist but anybody who loves redistribution as much as he does is in that direction, so let's not kid ourselves or pander to the obama lovers.

And yes...we should be ashamed that those in congress can't make a better case for conservatism than many of my conservative commenters can. I believe all it will take is another Reagan and we could win. Other than that..we will never win again and Americans will continue to adapt the failing programs of Europe like socialized healthcare, etc.

Then we have Question Man standing up for this guy and blaming all the criticism on RACE instead of BAD PRESIDENCY.
How many times do liberals like Question Man have to see we'd vote for a Black Conservative whose viewpoints we liked tomorrow if we could? That's racism? :-)

Any why is Shaw being mentioned here again? I don't go to her blog and I'm tired of SHAW comments which I keep deleting again and again and still her readers come here.
I'd rather they didn't, frankly.
I think a few of the screen names might be hers, by the way.

I'm surprised Ducky agreed with that one.

Ducky, I'm starting to understand you better. You need very, very specific statements or you jump to conclusions I'd have never thought of. That list is excellent unless you take everything so literally...nuance is good and saves us time and space; nobody has the time to go into such detail that you can't twist things like you do.
Picture this: "Obama out...." No, Ducky, not particularly before the next election which isn't in 2014, sadly. And no, I don't believe this list is advocating anything bad happening to him. But, good try.
By the way.."GOD..yours or mine?" You mean our America or our God? :-) Because your America is definitely NOT MINE.
your other points are all so off that it's not worth my time..but thanks for commenting. :-)

I was a little circumspect HERE about it because Cube specifically asked you not to use "Z" when addressing her so I thought she was afraid of privacy; that her name DID start with "Z" and so I asked if that was the case.
WEIRD the comments aren't there, but I couldn't imagine you'd delete me UNLESS it was something like I suggested above (for privacy for Cube).
But, no worries..
I can see you using "Z" because you are here so often, which I truly appreciate.

Z - "God isn't AMerican? :-) Gee, we all thought he was. Where'd that come from?"

From "Put "GOD" back in America".

"by the way..I'm a little weary of "he is not a communist"..none of us think he's a card-carrying Communist.....so let's not kid ourselves or pander to the obama lovers."

But then why wouldn't you be equally weary of 'Obama is a Communist'? Although acknowledging the fact that he's not, does it merely make someone 'feel' better to state otherwise?

And I agree that we shouldn't pander to Obama supporters.....we shouldn't engage in the same low rhetoric that the left does; it's directly out of their playbook. Once we are reduced to using those tactics, we've already lost.

As far as my bucket list, I've given a little thought today, and can probably say that aside from seeing my daughters safely to college and their adulthood [despite the forces of liberalism]....I'd like to become more integrated into my community. After 22+ years of moving around, courtesy of Uncle Samuel, I haven't really put down roots. And although the life of a Contractor isn't much more secure, I have a feeling I'll be able to stay in NW Virginia for quite sometime.

The bottom line is that I'd like to have a fair number of people mourn me at my funeral, because they knew me and respected me.

That's certainly a bit more somber than wanting to climb a mountain or visit every continent....but I'd like to think my ultimate goal would be to know I had a life well lived

Since someone has added a "13" to the list...my 14th is an important one I think. That is the medical screening of all immigrants into the US once again.

Serious diseases that we have virtually eradicated long ago are once more threatening the public health and safety. Is it un PC to scan for communicable diseases now? Are we going to upset somebody cause they aren't allowed to enter with communicable disease?

TB is the biggest one followed by AIDs, HIV and others to long to list here.

It stands to reason that 3rd worlders do not have the medical care and immunizations that we take for granted.

Z said...

CI...I think we all know what "Put God back in America" meant...not that God resides here. But that it's time to stop trying so hard to rid America of God and insult the majority of AMericans who do believe in God.

And you're right..I AM equally as weary for OBAMA IS A COMMUNIST but I also believe he is more than he isn't :-)
Sort of like Clinton and "I didn't have sex with that woman!"? :-)
But, seriously; it's hard to imagine with mentors like Frank Marshall Davis, etc., that Obama wasn't raised admiring that bent.

CI, also, I greatly admire your bucket list. GREATLY. As an aside, I'm partial to families of girls...nice
I DO VERY MUCH hope you get your wishes.

Pris...restore freedom..RIGHT!

Krabby...I moved to Paris with Mr Z and had to get tested for communicable diseases, etc...
Here? Nobody cares; you are `100% right; TB is on the rise here, but it's not PC to check illegals, particularly, who are bringing it in. And, of course, this will hurt legal Americans in terrible ways, and drive our costs over the top...as they're doing to us now.

JonBerg, Sam, obama's conception had much in common with osama's conception.
Mother was a whore, father a deadbeat dad. This affects kids in ways that are not completely understood. It made osama want to strike out at the world, and he focused on America. I believe obama wants to strike out at the world too but doesn't quite have a singular focus yet. he clearly hates America and the UK, defining each as imperialists. Beyond that, I don't think he has a bead on it.
Which make him dangerous. Loose cannon as it were. he is currently bringing the wrath down on America though, while popping off a few vermin in Pakistan to make it look good.
