Please pray for those in the tornados' ways..........OK City, Orlando, FLA., etc.... BE SAFE!!

Leftist Hostility

As reported recently in the Huffington Post, “… the chairwoman of the National Transportation Safety Board called last week's Interstate 5 bridge collapse a wake-up call to the state of safety of the nation's infrastructure and the Saturday destruction of a highway overpass in Missouri that was struck by a cargo train.”

Subsequent to the bridge collapse, Neil Cavuto observed, “No good disaster is ever wasted by the government. If in doubt, spend. If something broke, spend more… So a bridge falls down in Washington State and immediately, liberals bemoan our infrastructure’s sorry state. They say if this isn’t a wake up call to fix our roads and bridges, nothing is.”

Cavuto continued with a common sense question, and one that each of us should be asking: “What happened to the trillions of dollars we already committed to fixing our roads and bridges? Why aren’t they fixed? Where the heck did all that money go?”

Remember all the increases in gasoline and federal excise taxes allegedly earmarked for the repair of transportation infrastructure? Or all the “lotto” money supposedly earmarked for education, and yet we seem only to be able to graduate the world’s dumbest children.

In any case, leftists responded to Cavuto in their typical manner. One viewer wrote in, “I so hope the next bridge collapses just as you’re driving over it. I’d call it justifiable homicide, you clueless, corpulent, right-wing freak.”

A typical response from the left, it seems. Just read any leftist/progressive blog, or any of the low comments they are so proud to leave at other sites. We just wonder, “What in the hell is the matter with these people?”

"Should I go or should I stay?"

SHOULD I GO OR SHOULD I STAY?

The Obama/Holder Theme Song :-)

So, should Holder GO or should he STAY?

My favorite line from the linked article:
In a defense of Holder, White House spokesman Jay Carney said that Holder had testified truthfully. Carney told reporters at a briefing on Wednesday there was an "extremely large distinction" between describing a reporter as a co-conspirator and charging him with a crime.

Well, if you say so, Jay!  And ya....a HUGE distinction between CO-CONSPIRATOR and CRIME!!
Maybe he meant, by co-conspirator, two people who are planning a surprise party for a friend, right?  :-)

SHOULD HE GO OR SHOULD HE STAY?

Barber...is he right, no matter how you CUT it? (get it? heh!)

Other than the fact that the reporter AND his editors are illiterate (see the first paragraph), what do you think of what Haley Barber said HERE?   Would YOU rather support less conservative candidates just to win over the Left?

Would YOU "buy them drinks" for that situation?

Gitmo........your thoughts?

Obama wants to close Gitmo.  Obama had restricted Yemeni detainees from going back. Remember?  Now he wants to lift that ban.  What happened that he'd change his mind like that?  Are the Yemen detainees promising to behave?  Did Yemen give us a guarantee?  Of course not;  both are ridiculous guesses.  So...........why now?

Then, when CNN showed 70% of Americans polled don't want Gitmo closed, Candy Crowley throws in "Don't forget, Bush wanted to close Gitmo, too" as if suddenly she thinks his wanting to do anything should carry any water?  She suddenly thinks Bush's recommendation is the right one...because it's her viewpoint?

What do YOU want to see happen at Gitmo?

1. Completely shut it down and return everyone to their countries?
2. Have hearings for them all?
-in civil courts or military tribunals?
3. Move Gitmo onto mainland USA?

Your thoughts?

By the way, I always get a feeling that far leftwingers would be angrier about supposed torture at Gitmo than, for example, the British soldier being murdered in cold blood. Do you?  Sad, isn't it.

Gratitude....Memorial Day

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank every one of you guys who were in the Armed Services...I'm so glad you made it home.  I can't thank you enough for all you did.  None of us should ever stop thanking so many Americans who gave so very, very much for our country.

Our friend and blogger Bob lost two brothers, one in WWII and the other in Korea (you'll want to read about it so click on his name).  On this day, particularly, I think of his parents and the thousands like them who suffered that deeply and came to realize that they would always carry part of that grief with them.  I think of Janet who was a neighbor and, at 85, passed away about 3 years ago, but not before talking to me again about her precious, fun-loving brother Jimmy who went to fight in WWII and never came home.  She simply never stopped loving him.

If you're a serviceman or woman, please let us know in my comments section.  Today, I want to acknowledge, with such humble gratitude, my blogger friends who I know were in the military:  Elmer's Brother, Mustang, Impertinent,  Marine4, Scotty, Constitutional Insurgent, Jon Berg, and Law and Order....I'm so proud they come to geeeeZ.  I think I've forgotten a few; please don't be shy about letting us know.

I hope that, soon, our service people will feel once again that our country has their back. I hear it's not quite happening these days, and I hear that first-hand.  We need to fix the military and show them we care.

Please donate to the Wounded Warriors Project or any other group dedicated to helping our soldiers and their families.

God bless them all and God bless America.

Sunday Faith Post

"Thank you Lord for the men and women of our armed forces.  Protect them as they protect us.  Defend them as they defend us.  Encourage and strengthen their spirit, soul, and body in the execution of their duties and responsibilities.  May they be mentally and physically strong when required to face the challenges of combat.  Undergird them with Your spirit and might when they are called upon to endure the hardships of battle.

I pray nothing would take them by surprise, but that they would be aware of all potential aggression.  Enable them to curtail hostile actions before they start.
Reveal to military leaders the strategies and plots that enemies would wage.  Give leaders wisdom and insight in all decisions.  May response to any aggression by enemies of this nation be swift, accurate, and effective.

Father, give our military favor with the governmental agencies of this country.  I pray our Congress would appropriate sufficient funds to keep our nation's military preeminent in the world.

Thank you Lord, for providing America with the best trained, equipped, and lead military force in the world today.  Fill them with Your saving grace and the gospel of peace, that they may be shining witnesses of Your love, in the name of Jesus
."     From Pray for Our Nation by Keith and Megan Provance

Psalm 119:
114 Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.
115 Depart from me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God.
116 Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.
117 Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually.

And let them pray, Lord...those who want to.  Let them pray in the American military again.

"Are you being square with us, Mr. Shulman?"

First, for the record, Ex IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman is not a registered Republican or Democrat.  George W. Bush appointed him to this position in 2008.  Shulman is on record for having donated $500 to the Democrat party in 2004.

In November 2011, he said that “Beginning soon, the IRS will send letters to tax-return preparers who have been identified as high risk.”
“I certainly am not personally responsible for making a list that had inappropriate criteria on it. With that said, this happened on my watch, and I very much regret that this happened on my watch.”
In April 2010, Shulman said that his agents will target taxpayers' refunds in order to collect fines from those who don't buy health coverage via Affordable Health Care for America Act. In response to Republican arguments that the IRS would abuse their powers, he said he would not allow the IRS to be "too punitive." According the Congressional Budget Office, the fines would range from several hundred dollars to as much as 2.5% of household income.
Shortly after President Obama was re-elected in the 2012 presidential election, on November 11, 2012, Shulman finished his term as Commissioner.

He was at the White House 118 times in 2 years.  When asked for what reasons he was at the White House an apparently inordinate amount, his first response was for "the Easter Egg hunt with my kids..."  Seriously. At that hearing, the Easter Egg hunt is the first thing that came to his mind.  Oops.

The video says a lot, doesn't it.   And bravo to Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio. "Are you being sure you're being square with us, Mr. Shulman?"  And poor Shulman is dumbstruck and stammering throughout.

Think he knows something?   Make sure you hear how many letters he got from Congressional members contacting him about 5109(c)4s (tax exemption for political groups) he doesn't seem to remember knowing about.

Is a lie on a death bed okay?

I'm not sure how I feel about THIS.   What do you think?

Part of me feels that, since Queen Elizabeth can't possibly make every request to meet with her citizens, dying or not, but to substitute someone who acts and looks like her is a huge lie and terribly wrong.   The other part says "well, the boy's dying and he was happy and his parents are thrilled..he'll never know he didn't really meet the queen...."  (odd, it hurts me to even type that..)
Maybe you wouldn't give this a second thought, but I find it a very interesting moral dilemma.
And no, it's not an earthshaking dilemma of a high level of importance, but even these little things, added up, reflect on society, somehow....

What are your thoughts?

Thanks, Z

Jay Carney....DOES he know?

Could you handle his job??  I sure couldn't.   What I hope, for his sake, is that they only tell him so much in the White House because I'd have thought it's scary to know much more and feel afraid you might be pushed into revealing things the WH doesn't want people to know.  It appears to me he knows more than he's saying.  Or, he goes back after press conferences and says "Barack, Axelrod, Jarrett.....This is NUTS....I can't look like a DOPE any longer!!"  Ya think?

Could you do his job?

This can't be true........say it ain't so!

THIS is one of the most infuriating stories EVER.   Please, lefties, tell us this is wrong....use any ridiculous subterfuge, I'd just be happy to believe you so I don't have to believe the apparent truth.
In a nutshell (but you really should read the link, it's not long),  Hasan, the Ft Hood murderer, has been paid a bundle by the government (that's us) (because he's not been proven guilty yet) and the wounded are fighting for any pay at all (because this gov't has called the shooting 'workplace violence').   Please read the link and weigh in.

This is tragic, unfair, disgusting, and WRONG.  Can this be rectified...prevented in the future?

"The public has a right to KNOW!" :)

Well, well....so James Rosen over at FOX has been spied on, too.  I'm SHOCKED, I tell you...just SHOCKED!!! :-)

Here's my favorite sentence for pure irony from the above article:

"Critics of the monitoring say it threatens reporters' ability to uncover information that the public has a right to know."

Wait.  Americans haven't known about so many important things, but let the press get hit and, suddenly, they are known for the propensity to "uncover information that the public has a right to know?"

Odd, they kept the abortion doctor, Dr Gosnell, out of the news as much as they could.  Anybody hear he was found guilty?   I think FOX covered it.  Yes, he was found guilty.  Who else knew?

I think the "public has a right to know" that and all the details about what happened at Benghazi, and all the details behind the IRS scandal, and the repercussions of the Affordable Care act that they're only now finding out because it's hitting them in their pocketbooks, and how's about Obama's college records?  And how about so many things we've never really been told?

Ya, suddenly the media's mad and the public has a right to know.
Maybe if they'd done their homework and told the public both sides of every situation, we wouldn't be in this place where we're hearing certain people are being targeted by this government.

ugh.  We all could go on and on........... And how do you like the following?:

"An FBI agent said in the 2010 affidavit that there was "probable cause to believe" that Rosen broke the law "as an aider and abettor and/or co-conspirator."   But two years later, Rosen has not been charged with any wrongdoing. That could suggest that there was no evidence against him, that the Justice Department realized the potential blowback of prosecuting a reporter for trying to gather information, or both."

Think CNN or MSNBC will include that in their coverage IF they mention any of this at ALL?  (Although, I have to admit that Maddow was a little peeved at her god Obama the other night...to her credit.  I guess when it hits you directly, as a 'journalist'....)

What should happen now about the spying on the media?   What should happen now that we know that  only Conservative groups were held back from getting their tax exemption status particularly before the election so they couldn't act as strongly as they might have had they had those donations...

WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN?

Happy Birthday, Christian church!

"Among Christians, Pentecost commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Twelve Apostles and other followers of Jesus as described in the Acts of the Apostles 2:1–31.[2] For this reason, Pentecost is sometimes described by some Christians today as the "Birthday of the Church.""   ...wikipedia
The mystery of the "Holy Spirit" is probably one of the most exciting and validating things in the life of a Christian and requires a lot of study and a lot of something inside which helps one understand it.  That 'something inside' is the Holy Spirit.  I wish it for all of you.

Have a very happy Pentacost!

GREEN isn't always GOOD

An English teacher/friend just came to my desk with her four year old copy of A TALE OF TWO CITIES.  She uses this book in some of her classes and, admittedly, has it open quite often.  She has notes all over it, circled words, etc., etc.,.  Here's the rub:

The book is four years old and falling apart much quicker than any book she's had in her schooling or 15 year teaching career.   She showed it to me, and told me her students have the same problem with only having gone through this book once;   the paper is so thin that more than half the pages have fallen out, necessitating going through and putting them in again by page number, etc etc.  The book is a complete MESS and so are those of her kids.

She laughed as she showed me what's causing this.... inside the front pages is a little note from 'greenpenguin.co.uk" (penguin being the publisher as most of you will recognize, 'green' being the acknowledgement of how cool they are).  The note says:
"Penguin Books is committed to a sustainable future for our business, our readers and our planet.  The book in your hands is made from paper certified by the Forest Stewardship Council."

Here is something similar to what our English teacher and my dear friend is going to respond with:

"Penguin Books should be committed instead to the wiser choice of printing their paperbacks with a higher grade of paper.  In the past, with better paper, my books have lasted and I'd not be faced with having to buy another book so soon and have to mark my new book with the hundreds of notations I need from the one that's falling apart.  Yes, this does make for a more "sustainable future for" your business because I'm faced with having to purchase yet another book so soon, but are your sales what 'green' should be used for?   And is it 'greener' to have to keep cutting more trees down because the paper derived from them doesn't last or is it 'greener' to make the fine, strong quality of paper we used to experience in books that last on our shelves for years?  Which is truly better for the planet, to talk the green talk or walk the effective walk?"

Myself?  I'd start my note to Penguin with, simply, "Penguin Books should be committed."  :-)

Is this typical leftwing greenery run amuck?  I think so.  So does she.

What do you think?

Dzhokhar's Confession

—Mustang Sends

According to CBS News this morning, Boston police found a note scribbled out by Dzhokhar Tsarnaev as he lay bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds inside someone’s boat. It wasn’t something a fifth grade student would want to turn in for a graded assignment, but it was interesting nonetheless.

Essentially, Dzhokhar told us:

1. He does not mourn the loss of his brother, Tamerlane. Tamerlane, you see, is a martyr who has entered paradise. And besides, Dzhokhar expects to see him again soon.

2. The bombs were placed in retribution for the United States’ crimes against Moslems in Iraq and Afghanistan.

3. The victims of the bombs were simply collateral damage, in the same way that Moslems are collateral damage in America’s wars throughout the world.

4. Whenever America attacks one Moslem, America attacks Moslems everywhere.

Interestingly, Dzhokhar never mentioned the 72 virgins allocated to him or his older brother. Presumably, this is because sex is one of the last things people think about when they are lying in the bottom of a boat with multiple gunshot wounds. Right about now, Dzhokhar must be thinking that life is unfair: while his brother cavorts with his 72 virgins, Dzhokhar is under the close scrutiny of infidels and has multiple needles shoved up his … posterior.

Dzhokhar also failed to mention that the only reason Tamerlane is dead is because Dzhokhar ran over him while attempting to further elude every police officer in the state of Massachusetts. One can’t help but wonder how pleased Tamerlane will be to see his younger brother in the next life.

Another curiosity is Dzhokhar’s apparent adaptation of this Hispanic adage: “If you fight the bean, you have to fight the burrito.” Is it completely lost on Dzhokhar that Moslems should, at all cost, avoid attacking our buildings with stolen airliners?

Perhaps Z’s readers will be able to help us with these two remaining items. The media continues to emphasize their contention that Tamerlane and Dzhokhar are self-radicalized Moslems. Does anyone really understand what that means, or what the process entails? For example, does one become a radicalized (fill in the blank) from watching too much Chris Matthews, or receiving too many post-election tweets from Barack Obama?

And then finally … even though Dzhokhar wrote out his statement on the inside of the backyard boat, crime scene investigators aren’t sure whether the writing is a confession to pre-medicated murder, a Moslem manifesto, or an application for Obama Care. It leads us to ask, (1) will prosecutors have to introduce that boat as evidence during trial, (2) will this boat one day sell on EBay for millions, and (3) does this mean that Dzhokhar can keep his doctor?

Arming Barbarians

—Mustang Sends

Caught on video recently was a Syrian rebel cutting out the heart of a dead soldier and eating it. James Dawes, form Macalester College wants to know, “What kind of people could do this?”

Off hand, I‘d say the kind of people who, in their service to Allah, blow up innocent children, the kind of people who sexually mutilate women, the kind of people who could massacre 380 people at a school in Beslan, Russia, and the kind of people who would not hesitate to murder an 8-year-old boy in Boston.

According to the report, having eaten the man’s heart, the Syrian rebel said, “I swear to Allah we will eat your hearts out, you soldiers of Bashar. You dogs. Allah is greater! Heroes of Baba Amr—we will take out their hearts to eat them.”

This does appear to be barbaric behavior, even when measured against leftist standards.

And these are the people President Obama wants to arm, in order to bolster their opposition to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. It actually boggles the mind, doesn’t it? What on earth would compel President Obama to even consider arming Syrian rebels?

If this (idiotic) plan to arm Syrian "barbarians" goes forward, what would that say to the world about the United States, the American people, and President Barack Obama?...

Holder's DOJ/by GeeeZ writer Mustang

"People were recently complaining about Eric Holder and his “corrupt” Department of Justice. What a surprise, given that Eric Holder has been morally bankrupt since the beginning. He won’t prosecute finance fraud because he won’t turn on his former clients. Why not? Who knows when he’ll want to make millions more working for the same clients again?

Raise your hand if you didn’t know that Eric Holder and the head of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division, Lanny Breuer, were partners at a Washington Law firm that just happened to represent the major banking organizations, that amazingly were at the center of the foreclosure fraud: Bank of America, Citigroup, JP Morgan Chase, and Wells Fargo …

How many illegal aliens voted for Obama? How many democrats voted more than once? And when black thugs showed up in Philadelphia and Houston to intimidate voters, they got away with it. How is this possible? According to former DOJ attorney J. Christian Adams, it is possible because Eric Holder’s policy within the Department of Justice is to ignore prosecuting cases in which the defendant is black, and the victim is white. It is no surprise that some people are now claiming that Obama’s reelection was fraud at an exponential level and there is a reason why Romney was shocked to learn he didn’t win the election. All the polls indicated a win for Romney, but the fix was in long before Election Day. This explains why Eric Holder worked long and hard to prevent states from purging voter registration rolls of duplicates, dead people, and individuals incarcerated in state or federal penitentiaries.

We may forget a lot of details about Holder’s criminal behavior, but we must not forget Operation Fast and Furious, which resulted in the death of one US federal agent, and at least a thousand Mexican citizens inside Mexico. What that was all about, at least partially, was to orchestrate a campaign against an American citizen’s rights under the Second Amendment. If Holder could show that US guns are flowing into Mexico, if he could encourage Mexico to launch a formal complaint, then perhaps he could curtail our access to firearms through federal firearms regulations. It blew up in his face, of course.

Meanwhile, Holder was working just as hard to defeat the ability of Border States to curtail illegal immigration and undermine state sovereignty. He did this by tying them up in lawsuits. It is certainly understandable why Holder should want to increase the illegal alien population; it helped reelect his equally corrupt boss, President Obama.

Holder also sought to undermine national security by asserting the rights of foreign terrorists in US courts. He forgot to mention that as a private attorney, he worked on behalf of these same foreign terrorists. He failed to win in the case of GITMO detainees, but he certainly got his way in the case of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. Holder undermined military efficiency by selectively refusing to prosecute DADT rules; the repeal of this rule has led to decreased military efficiency. But Holder is also a staunch advocate of universal law, which would obligate the United States to subscribe to United Nations mandates.

Now, of course, the Department of Justice AP phone records investigation is a sham. Was there a leak of sensitive counter-terrorism information to the AP? Yes, there was —and it was an egregious violation of national security. But by investigating the AP, who ran the story, the White House is shifting responsibility away from itself. The fact is that a very small number of people had access to this classified information. If the White House wanted to find out the source of the leak, it could polygraph the infinitesimal number of people who had access to this information, rather than investigating thousands of telephone numbers as part of an AP investigative raid. (Z: Liberals, please read that again;  you're apparently not understanding this important point, from your posts yesterday)

Law professor Ann Althouse, who admits to voting for Barack Obama, had this view of Eric Holder: “Holder is utterly pathetic here. Either he knows damn well what he’s doing and he’s lying, or he’s outrageously unqualified for his job.”

Speaking for myself, I have no confidence that Holder will conduct an impartial investigation into Barack Obama's IRS. Isn't this the problem with corrupt officials? How fortunate we are, as Americans, that an uninformed electorate overwhelmingly chose Barack Obama, who appointed such sleaze as Eric Holder, who now abuses his considerable powers. Eric Holder is not an Attorney General we can be proud of; he’s an abuser of Justice who belongs in a federal prison."

Thanks, Mustang, that's quite a piece; quite some information, and quite a quote from Ann Althouse.

They'll lie themselves out of this, too.

THIS ARTICLE convinced me the recent Associated Press/Phone records scandal would all just go away like everything else does for the Obama White House.  Read the link and see how the Post is swinging it......you see, Holder's onto some very important leaks and needed to take all these phone records and the fact that he didn't tell anybody is because he was afraid of someone interfering in his investigations.  :-)  ARE YOU KIDDING ME??   Most of you know that I am ALL FOR keeping things undercover if they have to be undercover, but this?

They figure a way out of EVERYTHING.  They're far more cunning than the Republicans, they have most of the media behind them, and they keep overcoming case after case thrown against them...with such convincing facts, even if they aren't facts.  I'm reading now that the White House had no knowledge of this (SURPRISE!)....is this going to be a break between buddies Holder and Obama?  Will Obama have to dump him?   Will this spoil Holder's chances of a Supreme Court Justice position?

I think it's really problematic, "this massive intrusion into news gathering activities," don't you?   Looking into private home phone records, cell numbers, work numbers...?   The problem is it was SO widespread, not like a standard investigation at all, if you've heard the experts on this.  They're saying this is waaaay beyond normal.

Imagine if a Republican..............?  oh, never mind.

They're winning.  We deserve it.   And I put a lot of the blame on you who didn't vote.  Or voted for a guy you knew had absolutely no chance.  You were just 'too conservative'....too righteous.  @#$(&*#(*&  Now our country has no chance.

good job.

Benghazi.....get your red pencil out, folks!

Beware the Benghazi diction wars

President Obama's forceful response to the Benghazi hearings in Congress this morning is accurate. There is no there there. The hearings are a "sideshow." A circus.
And it is. It is also, at its core, a debate about diction. And debates about diction by definition can never be won. Nothing Obama says, short of: "I am an evil person who deserves to be impeached" is going to placate those who use language games to exploit the partisan kulturkampf.

The irony: Obama is not blameless. He is just not blameless for stuff the Republicans are ignoring, like: what was the administration's long-term plan for Libya? What dynamic between the CIA and the State Department was festering, and why didn't his National Security Staff tend to it? What was the CIA really doing in Benghazi?
The diction debates aren't real debates because the opponents aren't interesting in arriving at a truth. The opponent insists that he or she knows the motivation for key words and phrases that were used during the aftermath of something. The opponents also take their infallible notion of history and the motivation of actors and read it backwards.  There is simply no room in that paradigm for anything resembling a reasonable counter-argument.

Diction debates therefore almost always obscure more important issues.Back to the specifics of Benghazi:
By the time Susan Rice appeared on the Sunday shows, the idea that Benghazi wasn't an attack by terrorists had been largely dismissed. That's why her comments seemed so weird. That's why people called her out. The zeitgeist already knew what the White House was allegedly trying to cover up.  To me, that suggests that the fact of a cover-up is unlikely. Why cover up something that people already knew? And why do it so clumsily?  Interagency rivalries DO produce Sunday show bungles. All the time.

Something else: for good or ill, the Obama administration's counter-terrorism policy includes strategic restraint when it comes to using the word "terrorism" to apply to acts committed by violent extremism. Perhaps it's an over-reaction to the Bush administration's willingness to use the word without discrimination. But more likely, it's an effort to reduce the psychological effect that a successful, small-scale (as compared to 9/11) attack in a foreign country can and will have on U.S. foreign policy.

Go at it............!!
oh, by the way...this mess of mischaracterizations and untruths isn't hidden in some leftwing site, it's a headline on Yahoo Homepage :-)

IRS or Benghazi? Must we pick?

Sooooooo.. you think THIS story was deemed by the White House to be big enough to get Conservatives' minds off Benghazi and that's why it's made the news now?    Personally, I think it's even worse than Benghazi's cover-up.

White Houses do sometimes make mistakes in international situations such as Benghazi (of course, Z just invited at least 5 leftwing-commenter red herrings by saying that;  they'll do anything to obfuscate from the truth in my post, right?), but the IRS coming down on "Patriots" and "Tea Party members"?  That is not something White Houses normally do. That's so unAmerican and HUGE, that this really needs looking into. Also, to think of "Patriots" as an enemy is quite something.

Then, there's Jay Carney saying that the IRS isn't part of the Government?  He said it's "an independent enforcement agency."  Hey, isn't the Treasury part of our government?  And isn't the IRS part of the Treasury..a big part?  Sure it is.   Carney's either stupid, uninformed, or he thinks you're either or both of those things.

This IRS story is, in and of itself, quite a story.  Benghazi is quite a story...and it's finally becoming even more a story, with honest leftwingers even realizing something crooked's going on at the White House.
So.....is the Benghazi story SO BIG that the WH would risk the IRS story coming out NOW?   The IRS bigwigs have known about this since at least 2011.  THIS is probably the best article on the fiasco.  By the way, Schulman, one of those denying this was going on when it first came up, was a Bush appointee, so let's just get that out there before a geeeeZ-leftwing commenter uses that as another red herring.  We get it, we don't CARE.  What happened is WRONG.  And those at his high position level weren't apparently involved and might not have known; this was all done by agents who needed a way to categorize tax exemptions (Karl Rove's bunch and moveon.org were two groups requesting exemption.  It's pertinent to mention liberal whackos like moveon.org were not singled out by IRS agents.   That it got to "Patriots" is quite another story.)  By the way, CBS is very unhappy with excellent reporter, Sharyl Attkison, asking questions about Benghazi and not obfuscating for the White House...very unhappy INDEED.  The leftwingers just can't stand a writer who explores all sides, can it.

SO...the IRS story is a story on its own, no doubt about it.
Let's not let this overtake Benghazi in its huge importance. People DIED.  This isn't Watergate and this isn't the IRS's unbelievable and highly illegal bias.  Benghazi is about PEOPLE DYING.  It needs to be investigated more.

But, so does the IRS story.  Gee, the Obama folks are on the defense now, huh?  Finally?

God save this country, because most of us aren't recognizing it anymore.

HERE is a link I'd like you to visit.   The Wolfs are good acquaintances of mine and I hope you share their story with your friends and family.   It's a story about a mother who loves her baby, about a marriage that survives even in horrible circumstances, and you'll see such a remarkably beautiful young woman and weep at her story.  This is a story of great faith.

Her husband Jay is a Renaissance Man who does astonishing photography, cooks like a trained chef, fills their lovely home with such flower arrangements that would take your breath away!  And he trained for the law before all of this happened.  The man probably always knew he could do many, many things very well, but I'm sure he never thought he could do what he's so beautifully and faithfully doing now.

I hope I got your curiosity up.  Please see the film.  Have Kleenex nearby.

God bless them for their faith, be with them on their journey, and let their story/crusade HOPE HEALS influence and help others...helping others being the main point for their reaching out with short films like this.

"Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord." Psalms 31:24

Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers...........I've got a fantastic Mom and could only hope and pray you can say the same.
Happy Birthday and Happy Mom's Day, J....I adore you, little sis.  xxx

Need a smile? Read these...

HOLY HUMOR
During these serious and troubled times, people of all faiths should remember these four great religious truths:
1. Muslims do not recognize Jews as God's Chosen People.
2. Jews do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah.
3. Protestants do not recognize the Pope as the leader of the Christian world.
4. Baptists do not recognize each other at the liquor store.
GOOD SAMARITAN
A Sunday school teacher was telling her class the story of the Good Samaritan.
She asked the class, "If you saw a person lying on the roadside, all wounded and
Bleeding, what would you do?"
A thoughtful little girl broke the hushed silence, "I think I'd throw up."
DID NOAH FISH?
A Sunday school teacher asked, "Johnny, do you think Noah did a lot of fishing when he was on the Ark ?"
"No," replied Johnny. "How could he, with just two worms.
THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD
A Sunday School teacher decided to have her young class memorize one of the most quoted passages in the Bible - Psalm 23. She gave the youngsters a month to learn the chapter. Little Rick was excited about the task - but he just couldn't remember the Psalm. After much practice, he could barely get past the first line.
On the day that the kids were scheduled to recite Psalm 23 in front of the congregation, Ricky was so nervous. When it was his turn, he stepped up to the microphone and said proudly, "The Lord is my Shepherd, and that's all I need to know.
UNANSWERED PRAYER
The preacher's 5 year-old daughter noticed that her father always paused and bowed his head for a moment before starting his sermon. One day, she asked him why.
"Well, Honey," he began, proud that his daughter was so observant of his messages. "I'm asking the Lord to help me preach a good sermon."
"How come He doesn't answer it?" she asked.
BEING THANKFUL
A Rabbi said to a precocious six-year-old boy, "So your mother says your prayers for you each night? That's very commendable. What does she say?"
The little boy replied, "Thank God he's in bed!"
ALL MEN / ALL GIRLS
When my daughter, Kelli, said her bedtime prayers, she would bless every family member, every friend, and every animal (current and past). For several weeks, after we had finished the nightly prayer, Kelli would say, "And all girls."
This soon became part of her nightly routine, to include this closing. My curiosity got the best of me and I asked her, "Kelli, why do you always add the part about all girls?"
Her response, "Because everybody always finish their prayers by saying 'All Men'!
SAY A PRAYER
Little Johnny and his family were having Sunday dinner at his Grandmother's house. Everyone was seated around the table as the food was being served. When Little Johnny received his plate, he started eating right away.
"Johnny! Please wait until we say our prayer." said his mother.
"I don't need to," the boy replied.
"Of course, you do "his mother insisted. "We always say a prayer before eating at our house."
"That's at our house." Johnny explained. "But this is Grandma's house and she knows how to cook.

You SMILING? :-)  Have a happy Saturday!
