"RUN FOR YOUR LIFE, FIRST LADY!"

There's something in Hillary's story about her landing in Bosnia that most people are missing, I think... Seems to me it's a crucial point and worthy of consideration.

She has NEVER been under sniper fire in her life. This isn't "she didn't remember correctly because she said this at a speech she gave late at night" like her husband Bill said. (Russert also showed her saying it at 9 AM, 3 PM and 5 PM, by the way..NOT only late at night) No, this isn't like our government or military personnel allow First Ladies to land in places at which they could be killed! It's not like "well, Hillary DID have that happen to her in Poland, so maybe she just got confused."

Somebody tell me when she EVER ran from sniper fire anywhere. This isn't a case of bad memory... Wouldn't you think somebody'd mention this aspect of this whole story? And all anyone's talking about is she "misspoke." I just don't get it! This aspect of it seems pretty darned big to ME!

I thought it very odd when I first heard it too, Z, and I'm glad you brought it up. She lives in a dream world, can't tell the difference between her own fantasies and reality. Scary thought. As bad as Gore's inventing the internet.

Thanks, CJ..SURE! Why linger over what time she said it, how tired or confused she might have been?

If a woman never had children and told someone, even 'late at night' that she DID and she described pushing and breathing hard, and the PAIN "OH, the PAIN of it!"...when you found out the truth, would you think she was 'just confused' or 'it was late'?

Or would you think "This woman is LYING...!" ??

To me Z, and CJ, every time she tells a story I think it's a lie, same with Bill. I've thought that for years. My God, they lie even when it serves no particular purpose!

I love the euphemisms; spin, misspoke, they're lies. Why is that so tough for the press to say? Because they're politicians we can't say they lied?

I remember in a debate between Gore and then Gov. Bush, Gore harkened back to some disaster in Texas, saying he went there, as VP, to assess the situation.

Bush suddenly furrowed his brow, as in disbelief, and sure enough Gore had not gone there at all.

I mean the man had the Governor of Texas sitting right there and told a bald faced lie! About going to Texas! Did he think that would get past everyone?

Honestly, the Clintons and probably Gore as well have been bending the truth and outright lying for so long, I swear they can't tell the difference anymore.

Z,

This post demonstrates a willingness to pursue truth whereever it may lead and a forthright use of observation to formulate inferences from available data in a way that makes Hillary Clinton appear to be dishonest.

You are hereby expelled from the Democratic Party.

[we'll let you back in if you promise to stop that nasty habit of thinking for yourself that you have.]

You know even I gave Hillary the benefit of the doubt and didnt even think about how much of a lie she told.

What the hell?!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Republican would have been crucified for lying like that.

In a fair, decent, just and sane world Hillary would have been under sniper fire at ALL times.

If I were on her Secret Service detail, we'd be telling her that there were snipers at almost every stop.

*snicker*

Pris, maybe if Bush had done more than furrow a brow and said "You weren't HERE? When was THAT?" we'd have been rid of Gore before he became quite the gasbag he is!?

Beamish: A great compliment for a very nasty habit. I had a friend tell me yesterday that she feared Christians more than muslims "especially the extremists" (that would be Christian extremists). When I said "Who do you mean? Can you name one?" she couldn't answer me. Not one name. They CAN'T think for themselves, Beam...and she's pretty intelligent!

Freedomnow: Oh, great point about how a Rep would have been crucified for this. Or maybe worse!?

You are right, of course. Our First Ladies aren't allowed to go into enemy fire. I've seen some military leaders interviewed after her remarks and all have said whoever the military officer in charge was that would authorize such a situation to occur would have been dismissed of his duties immediately! It just doesn't happen.

They do live in their own kind of fantasy world. I never understood why they would both lie when a lie wasn't necessary, the truth was completely beniegn. I think they have lived like this for so long that they don't know what is real and what isn't anymore.

FJ, not to be too unkind, but sometimes she looks like they must have told here there were *snickers* at every stop! mmm not a bad idea, by the way. Maybe I'll run for First Lady!?

FT: I love the way you spell for emphasis!

Great line used by Laura Ingraham this morning:

To Republicans every day is the Fourth of july. To democrats every day is April fifteenth.

FreeThinke offers a truncated version of an article describing Hillary as a liar and Obama as "A Living Lie".

A Living Lie

By Thomas Sowell

An e-mail from a reader said that, while Hillary Clinton tells lies, Barack Obama is himself a lie. That is becoming painfully apparent with each new revelation of how drastically his carefully crafted image this election year contrasts with what he has actually been saying and doing for many years. . . .

There is, of course, not a speck of evidence that Obama has ever transcended party differences in the United States Senate. Voting records analyzed by the National Journal show him to be the farthest left of anyone in the Senate. . . .

Senator Obama is all talk -- glib talk, exciting talk, confident talk, but still just talk.

Some of his recent talk in San Francisco has stirred up controversy because it revealed yet another blatant contradiction between Barack Obama's public image and his reality.

Speaking privately to supporters in heavily left-liberal San Francisco, Obama let down his hair and described working class people in Pennsylvania as so "bitter" that they "cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them."

Like so much that Obama has said and done over the years, this is standard stuff on the far left, where guns and religion are regarded as signs of psychological dysfunction . . .

Like so many others on the left, Obama rejects "stereotypes" when they are stereotypes he doesn't like but blithely throws around his own stereotypes about "a typical white person" or "bitter" gun-toting, religious and racist working class people.

In politics, the clearer a statement is, the more certain it is to be followed by a "clarification," when people react adversely to what was plainly said.

Obama and his supporters were still busy "clarifying" Jeremiah Wright's very plain statements when it suddenly became necessary to "clarify" Senator Obama's own statements in San Francisco. . . .

However inconsistent Obama's words, his behavior has been remarkably consistent over the years. He has sought out and joined with the radical, anti-Western left, whether Jeremiah Wright, William Ayers of the terrorist Weatherman underground or pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli Rashid Khalidi.

Obama is also part of a long tradition on the left of being for the working class in the abstract, or as people potentially useful for the purposes of the left, but having disdain or contempt for them as human beings.

Karl Marx said, "The working class is revolutionary or it is nothing." In other words, they mattered only in so far as they were willing to carry out the Marxist agenda. . . .

It is understandable that young people are so strongly attracted to Obama. Youth is another name for inexperience -- and experience is what is most needed when dealing with skillful and charismatic demagogues.

Those of us old enough to have seen the type again and again over the years can no longer find them exciting. Instead, they are as tedious as they are dangerous.

As Tammy Bruce said, Hillary is a fabulist, plain and simple.

I have never ran through sniper fire. I have been shot at and held up at gun point...those are things you do not forget or joke about. When she said it the first time, with that little snicker, I knew it was a lie! You don't laugh about being shot at and certainly not when your child is shot at as well!

Z said...

Great point, Jungle Mom. HOW could you make this stuff up? And that snicker? Well, the daughter was tucked safely at home in her apt when Hillary lied and said Chelsea was out getting coffee very near the 9/11 site on that dangerous, horrible morning, so...apparently, Hill doesn't care WHAT she has to lie about, as long as she gets heard and SOME voter falls for it, huh?

you know when she lies Z?..every time she opens her mouth! :)

Hillary and Bill are both compulsive liars. they lie so much that they begin to believe their own falsehoods. This is an actual psychological phenomenon.
I'd give you an article real neat and tidy like FJ or Beamish would, but I'm not that smart and quick. ;-).
Remember when OJ lied over and over and over on the stand about killing Nicole? He REALLY believed his own lies. So DO THEY.
sick. people.
