Arlen Specter at his best:

ON FOX NEWS Sunday afternoon from Sen. Arlen Specter:

"The opposition refuses to believe there is a health care problem."

"The opposition refuses to understand Global Climate Change."

"The opposition won't take a stand on the economy."

Is he plain STUPID, DEAF, or WHAT? No wonder he switched parties. He just doesn't want to HEAR (and doesn't have to with this one-sided government keeping Republicans out of every conversation) what the Conservatives are saying. Somebody tell ol' Arlen that LISTENING might help.

And, oh GOSH, yes...I guess I should say I mean no insult to the deaf...or "hearing impaired"...sorry. (oh, brother)

I'm just happy he was finally able to find his inner Democrat, I've been saying for years that he is one. As far as the rest, he has no credibility.

RINOS's have a worse effect on public policy than out-and-out bomb-throwing anarchists.

RINOS' are the wolves in sheep's clothing who continually eat up the stock that nourishes America and helps her grow strong and rich.

They are the guardians of the gates who continually open up those gates and roll out red carpets to welcome our mortal enemies.

Of course, we court and want to love DINO's like Joe Lieberman, while we despise Arlen Specter as a traitor. The D'Rats feel just the other way 'round.

Yet, both these men are essentially the same when you stop to think about who and what they are -- and what they've done in their careers.

Their loyalties are only to themselves -- not America.

Double dealers are fundamentally untrustworthy.

Good news is, everybody know that Arlen Specter is a nincompoop & a patsy.

I wouldn't worry too much about this - it's only a distraction to the real work we've got to do.

Freethink~ "Double dealers are fundamentally untrustworthy"

Yes, b/c they won't really take a stand on anything, priding themselves on being more 'diplomatic' than the rest...

All of the above!

This is what happens when you have career criminals like Spinctor, Frank and Byrd as lifetime appointments to the gubbmint! Senile old, crass, arrogant and useless mutts that should be put down.

Arlen Spectre represents everything that's wrong with so-called conservative "intellectuals." They're neither.

My reply to him:

The opposition refuses to believe the American people are finally on to them.

As a certified member of the Hearing Impared (from childhood no less) and one who definately takes out his hearing aids when he hears screeching (as opposed to rational discussion) from the left, I assert that Specter's problem is not listening, it is failing to comprehend that someone actually can think. Specter is the ultimate narcissist in thinking that his positions are the only ones worth having.

Specter is bad, but Pat Leahy is the WORST.

But at least he never PRETENDED to be a Republican.

You should have heard the CONTEMPT Leahy showered on "bloggers" and "Tea-baggers" the other day during a C-Spin broadcast.

The tone he used indicated he thinks of us as VERMIN.

We just don't COUNT in his mind, and as far as he is concerned we ought NOT to have any way whatsoever in the way we are governed.

It's the same with ALL the northeastern liberals. It really doesn't matter which party they belong to.

You've just summed it up entirely. They don't WANT to hear any solutions.

Arlen finally rolled over into the D camp. McCain needs to go there, as well as Lincoln Chafee, Olympia Snowe.

The bulk of the media screams that the GOP needs to be moderate, moderate, moderate; we need to get "more people under the tent."

When has the GOP actually WON?

If you examine, that would be when it actually proffered a REAL Conservative candidate. Even the GOP doesn't understand this.

Arlen hears us, he just doesn't care what we have to say. None are so deaf as those who refuse to hear. There's a lot of that going on in DC.

I guess he hasn't read the story about climategate.

I guess he hasn't looked at the economy numbers WITH the stimulus and bailout.

I guess he hasn't looked around other countries where unemployement has been 10+ % since the 70s because of government intervention (France).

Those people are like the medieval church. They accuse us of heresy and are ready to burn us if we don't follow them.

One word for them: go f--- yourself.

Sorry for this but I'm tired of those people.

When and if he runs again, Arlen's opponent should make bumper stickers that read:

... SPECTOR ...
FOR SPECTATOR

I wonder how many would get it?

Now he's the Democrats problem.

I do wonder if he's a bigger self promoting bozo than Jo-Jo Lieberman (I - Tel Aviv).

And every single Conservative and Republican give a collective sigh of relief that he no longer represents us.

Well, the DOW went up beyond 10,450 today.

THAT's something to be thankful for.

Long may the trend continue.

Better to have a bucketful of highly-inflated dollars than to have no dollars at all.

Does anyone else think people like Soros are pulling strings behind the scenes to make BO look and smell better?

Z,
Specter is really everything that is wrong with congress. He lives and breathes in a vacuum that real life can't penetrate. They swim in a school and feed in the same environment. They hear the same garbage from each other and think it represents their constituents. What a joke congress has become.

Or as I like to put it:

A spectre is haunting the U.S. Senate--the spectre of Arlen.

••• " He lives and breathes in a vacuum that real life can't penetrate. They swim in a school and feed in the same environment. They hear the same garbage from each other and think it represents their constituents...." •••

LOT, correctly outlines the trouble with congress. Unfortunately, that exact smug, closed-minded, restrictive, proscriptive syndrome prevails on campuses all across the land, in elementary and high school teacher's associations, and among most members of the news and entertainment Industry.

Smug, morally blind, assumptive members of the same club -- a club that ironically and hypocritically preaches "breadth" while it demands conformity to ever more despotic practices -- have come to shape and control the ETHOS by which we are guided.

You can't deal squarely with a Mutual Admiration Society, because the only voices the members can hear are their own -- endlessly echoing one another. They have made tautology a way of life -- and endless pattern of babbling repetition that sifts all meaning, all vitality out of itself, and leaves us with shibboleths and worn out platitudes fobbed off as "Enlightened Thinking."

We are now living in a Kafka-esque society. Experience Gian Carlo Menotti's Opera The Consul, and you'll know exactly what I mean. Or read Kafka's masterwork The Castle.

We who live outside the inner circle are regarded as lower than worms.

What he really means to say is that the opposition just won't shut up and go along with whatever is the current leftist agenda of the week.
