Conservatives v Liberals; Perfect Analysis

This sums it up pretty well..

If a conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one.

If a liberal doesn't like guns, he feels that no one should have one.

If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat..

If a liberal is, he wants to ban all meat products for everyone.

If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to

defeat his enemy.

A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good.

If a conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.

If a liberal is homosexual, he loudly demands legislated respect.

If a black man or Hispanic is conservative, they see themselves as independently successful.

Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government protection.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.

A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels.

Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.

A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God or religion silenced.

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.

A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.

Amen.

A conservative will forward this to all his friends.

A liberal will try to have it banned from the Internet.

Z - I know that the holidays are going to be pretty tough this year, but I'd like to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. I'll be thinking about you.

thanks, Sue....it will be tough, very tough, but I have to admit I am lucky to have amazing family and very supportive, understanding friends....they humble me with their sensitivity and encouragement.
I really appreciate your kind words.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, too, sue.

I found about 2" of Cherry Brandy Schnapps in the freezer tonight...I had Mr. Z's son who's staying with me pour us an inch each and we toasted his dad...
it was almost impossibly difficult but I'm so glad we did it. A very bittersweet memory..

Great one...thanks for sharing!

I would add to the list:

A conservative gives to the charities of their choosing.

A liberal thinks the government is the only charity needed.

Have a blessed Thanksgiving, Z!

Thanks, Z!

I posted this on my blog, and linked it back to you.

You will be in my thoughts and prayers today and I prepare for the influx of my kids.

Blessings to you, and your loved ones!

We can all be very thankful for geeeeZ -- and especially for our friend Z -- who provides a wonderful opportunity to share our concerns, bolster each other's courage, hopefully explore issues from new and different angles thus gaining new insight -- and sometimes just to vent our spleen when conditions out there get to be just too much.

I would add to the list of observations:

A conservative expresses gratitude and counts his blessings

A liberal always finds something to despise and protest

A conservative quietly examines his own flaws and prays to find ways to improve himself

A liberal is apt to tell others what is wrong with them and what they should do about it.

A conservative tries to discipline his children, provide an attractive, orderly home, and teach them how to grow and prosper

A liberal is usually much too busy trying to improve living conditions for the hundreds of millions who live in poverty to bother cleaning his own house, cooking nutritious, well-planned meals, or teaching his children respect and good manners.

A conservative will faithfully tend his own garden, and enjoy sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends.

A liberal will tell everyone in the neighborhood what they should and should not grow in their gardens while neglecting to weed and mow his own.

And on it goes ...

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

It's so great that you have family and friends there to support you, Z. So many milestones without your beloved, Mr. Z, are just starting. It is a very long, painful process. In time, acceptance becomes your solace, but it will be quite a while before that comes. I am praying for you, that you may be comforted and loved. God bless you, Z.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I LOVE that list and what people added.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.

This list was funny at first until I started thinking of all the real life examples that illustrate each point. Then it just got depressing.

Amen to this Z..

Happy Thanksgiving. Hope you are well.

Yeah and a conservative is nothing but a beer swigging NASCAR fan.

Wow, such high toned debate.

Anyway, have a nice Thanksgiving folks.

It's one day of the year I always eat meat, home made kielbasa.

Thanks, everybody....it's so good to have you all here and that you enjoyed this list as much as I do. But, of course, as highboy says in his comment, it IS depressing because it's true and so unAmerican of the left.
I do believe not ALL Leftists are behind all the points.

Ducky, somehow your eating kielbasa instead of turkey on this traditional American holiday makes such sense; almost metaphorical.
I hope you have a good day, too.

I wish EVERYONE a happy day and hope you come read my Thanksgiving blog tomorrow..xxx

z, it's my dad's family recipe. We made it together for quite a few years every Thanksgiving eve.

We enjoyed and were thankful.

I hope you are of good cheer this Thanksgiving, I know it's rough.

Ducky, thanks..it is rough. I appreciate the comment.
Enjoy your family tradition...
I really do hope you have a wonderful time.
