Get a load of this.....

Sign the Petition:

"I call for an end to all overt and implied appeals to violence in American politics. We must debate, not hate."

No more shootings, no more hate

In the wake of the mass shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and 19 others in Tucson, we must end the violent rhetoric that has exploded in American politics over the past two years.
That's why we're calling on every member of Congress, as well as the major TV news networks, to put an end to overt and implied appeals to violence in our political debate.

That's on the Moveon.org site before you can enter into it...........Don't you love the Left?  They think you can sign a petition and stop violence......but, then, they think guns kill people, too.  'We must debate, not hate."  Ya, except if the debate is against them, then they need to shut it up.  Also, I just WISH one Lefty can show ONE "appeal to violence" from the Right.....  By the way, nobody's going to get me to stop hating what Obama and his bunch are doing, no matter how many petitions are signed.

I found this hilarious...kumbaya.  By the way, I used the word "load" in my headline...you think that word is too overt an appeal to violence?  :-)   HERE, go sign the petition, Lefties!!

The supposition is a false premise. There is no connection whatever between political rhetoric and the event in Tucson; none. Moreover, if the left wants to continue making this ridiculous claim, then we should demand they produce their evidence. These leftists are as irrational are they are dishonest and unintelligent.

"Implied"? Lots of room for interpretation there!

Sam is right: The supposition is a false premise.

BTW, what the hell does the Left know about debate?

Oh well, guess I won't be able to go there. Shucks

You know how you mentioned Z that you used the word "load" in your headline? Well, I didn't even catch that, because most normal, sane people do not see words like "load" or "gun" or "crosshairs" and then become violent! It goes to show how ridiculous this whole thing has become.

Not me, I can't with any honesty state that I have anything but animosity for the fringe right, Randoids and Calvinists among us.

There's that tolerance Duckhead keeps lecturing us about

Then don't come hang out with us Ducky and go away, hater.

You're a psycho. I don't go hang out with people I hate.

See most of my friends are Libs. But they are deep down good people.

In your case we have to deal with someone who's really disturbed.

Really go see a shrink. You seriously need it.

Who was it who brought up Goebbels & the Holocaust? A Lefty Democrat. And then there's Jackson Lee from Texas. Liar, liar, pants on fire! Neil Cavuto tried to reason with her, even tried to tell her that the picture she was using as an example was false. All she did was get loud, offensive, talk over him, & NEVER SHUT UP! Typical tactic of the Left. So much for civility.

Oh, & did you see the protest letter against a Wal Mart in D.C. with the bullseye in the upper corner? The Left & Liberals hate Wal Mart because they aren't unionized. But they provide entry level jobs to people who want to work, along with better prices in low income neighborhoods. And if the Dems gave a damn about low income people, other than wanting them to vote the Kool-Aid party line, they would be glad to see the lower prices on prescription drugs for those who need help the most.

Jeeze, who's this Steve Cohen guy calling opposition to the nationalization of health care Nazis and Goebbels wannabes? Sounds like somebody who imbibed too much Marxist borscht ... or too many summers in the Borscht Belt.

Years ago, when I was living in the San Fernando Valley in La-La Land, I knew quite a few stuntmen who were specialists in Western movies. There was a laughable period in the '60s when nobody could be shown dead in a Western, so I guess Custer got up & left the battlefield. That period of unrealistic idiocy didn't last for long, but it was as laughable then as these 'ideas' from the Left are now.

It’s not a false premise in the mind of the left. Vitriol/hate speech = you don’t agree with me.

It you keep that interpretation in mind, it all makes perfect sense. Like many cults, the left has become adept at changing the meanings of words.

Investing = higher taxes
Police actions = war
Undocumented workers = illegal aliens
Insurgents = terrorist

The list is large and I'm sure everybody here knows what words they are.

Did you see Obama tell Hu "we'd like you to BUY OUR STUFF..computers, cars.."? "our STUFF", class, dignity... ??
Then Hu finally admitted to human rights violations...SORT of, and I couldn't help wonder what THAT cost us because, as you all know, human rights are all Obama's got now that we owe everything to China, no more diplomacy points left but that as we've weakened ourselves so SO badly......I can imagine the conversation "Yes, if you admit even half-heartedly that there are human rights problems in China it'll make it look like I'm strong and powerful and you finally gave in........and we'll borrow another gazillion. It's a deal.."
ugh

Scotty’s perspective is interesting and difficult to refute; this is because none of us are qualified in the field of psychiatry. Beamish has been telling us for years that leftists are incapable of rational thought. Here’s the interesting part: Ducky’s comment reinforced the Beamish Principle. As a society, we need to consider ways of re-institutionalizing leftists … so they won’t hurt other people, or themselves.

Like many cults, the left has become adept at changing the meanings of words.

It's a global thing. The left has redefined some words in France as well. A lot of regular words were redefined in the 80s-90s starting with the prefix "sans" (suffix less in English) which conveys more a victim status. That includes illegals that became "sans papier" or paperless aka undocumented. Likewise uneployed (chomeurs) became "sans emploi". Homeless becase "sans abri". It matches their mindset where having a job or a home is a collective/human right and doesn't have to be earned or acquired, but granted.

I agree, we should get the democrats to promise not to hate and persecute peaceful and law-abiding Christians, Conservatives and Gun owners simply because we're different to liberal bigots and racists.

They really need to sign those documents and stand by them.

One day the left's reams of gun laws will be thick enough to slow a bullet, but I don't think we're there yet.

What if we started up a petition to shut down petition websites?
