Media, lies, and connecting dots.....

Isn't THIS just precious?  "Republicans aren't working on jobs, they're going against campaign promises!" Do you all get why the Democrats say these things?  People BELIEVE IT...IT SELLS, IT GETS READ... readers of these misrepresentations vote.  It matters not what truth is, it matters that the media and the Democrats can spin a headline and keep it out there in the public for a long time...you know that, especially if you read this blog!  People want JOBS and Republicans promised  jobs, so, because the Republicans have the nerve to focus on other important things right now, along with JOBS, the Democrats have found a way to chip at the November election success of the Republicans, and Yahoo and AP and every other liberal media type loves it and plays it up.  If Boehner mentions abortion, he's taking his eye off jobs...?  Does that make sense to you?

Follow me here: Yahoo's homepage holds headlines which make Republicans look bad about 3 times longer than "China may have another earthquake" or "Giffords' husband to decide on Space flight..."   Yahoo, since YESTERDAY, has carried "Cuts to Elder Care Might Cost State" on the California homepage....get it?  More than twenty-four HOURS, they've left that headlined so more people can see it and weep....other more important headlines come and go every few hours, but let Californians see how cuts (proposed by Republicans and any other thinking Americans) might COST THE STATE and that headline STAYS because the media likes it.......I'll let you know when that headline disappears.   Let me know when pigs are flying.  But, I digress.

Yes, the Dems are now ALL over how the REPUBLICANS, WHO RAN ON JOBS IN NOVEMBER, now don't CARE about JOBS because they're focusing on Health Care, Abortion, etc.   Of course, Republicans CAN multitask and address varying subjects at the same time, and they've shown how improving the Health Care bill (or chucking it) WILL save jobs but, again, I digress with facts and common sense and I hate to confuse my Democrats here :-)

Heck, even AP agrees with me (don't know if I should be pleased about that or nauseous):  "Democrats are pouncing. Each day, they echo the taunt that Republicans used in the November elections: You're not doing enough to create jobs."    They had TWO YEARS and the Republicans have had TWO MONTHS...how many of you think Americans who read these things connect those dots?

Here is one of the reader comments on the article: "the gop,tea party, republican and the weeping house leader just lied to crash into the house.they don`t have nothing in their hand, but they do have a good paying job, thank`s to the people who got fooled on elaction day november 2 2010."     And I'll just bet he voted.   God help us.  He'll probably want to elAct Obama agin cuz he's a voter who.cain't be fooled.

What do YOU think?  What would be a better way for Republicans to be addressing JOBS?  I'd really like to know.   And, what happened to those SHOVEL READY JOBS the stimulus packages were to provide?  There's thirty feet of road up near Mulholland Drive that has a sign nearby which, I think, infers the money to tar it is from the stimulus, but ... is that enough? :-)

The Republican efforts to repeal the job killing health care law are entitled what?

This "Repealing the Job-Killing Health Care Law Act" that the Republicans set up and passed to begin defunding the job-killing health care law of this session of Congress.

Killed or crushed, the Republicans ARE working on repealing Democrat anti-job legislation.

Man, some Democrats and their staff are sent packing and now the Republicans are blamed for unemploying them rather than the American people.

What about General Electric? Obama makes their CEO part of his administration and Keith Olbermann's job gets outsourced to China.

Fact is that high income earners are doing pretty well. Nearly all of the consumer spending growth is in luxury items.

Meanwhile, those that have been struggling continue to struggle and they will not find much relief until the housing market recovers.

So they can deal with that or they can drool pithy little slogans like "Job Killing Healthcare Bill" to keep the base in a lather.

Anyone with half a brain knows that the only jobs the govt. can create, are govt. jobs, which the taxpayers have to pay for.

What govt. can do re jobs is create a climate for the private sector to bloom once again. They can start with a 10% cut for all fed. govt. departments and agencies.

Lift the moratorium on drilling, rescind regulations inhibiting or preventing coal mining, stop with the hundreds of regulations being forced on the medical industry, and on and on. Cap and Trade is being done by the czar in charge, despite the Congress.

The way to create that climate, is for govt. to get out of the way. Cut spending and lower taxes including corporate taxes.

A huge new entitlement such as healthcare, is like a weight hung around our necks. I would like someone to show us an entitlement program which doesn't have a bloated budget, and deficits as far as the eye can see.

And what does Obama call for? More spending on education? Yeah, let's throw more money at that, it's worked so well so far. Is he kidding? Money doesn't teach, good teachers teach, and they don't need more money. Not with millions of people out of work.

They're lucky they have jobs, not to mention lucrative pensions that the states have no money to pay for. But of course Obama has to keep their unions happy. He needs their money to help raise that billion dollars he wants for his campaign. This is what he cares about, and all he cares about.

We're going to hear the same lies we've heard for two years. The media isn't a journalistic endeavor, and hasn't been for years. Regardless of what anyone says that makes sense, the media will attack it. If nothing is said by Republicans, why, "they have no plan".

So, conservatives might as well go for it, be bold, and hammer it home, because whatever they do, it will be attacked, made a joke of, or called racist or classist. If they don't go for it, they'll be accused of having no answers or plans. So much for the idiot "date nite" at the SOTU address.

And if I see one more stupid ribbon pinned on a politician or anyone, i'll scream!

Now, could the grown ups please step up? There have to be some left
in Washington somewhere!

We now return you to the Captain Obvious Show, already in progress.

Ducky, by pithy little slogans do you mean like "shovel ready jobs"? Or those "green jobs" which amount to less than 1% of proposed jobs, which as yet don't exist.

Yeah we sure saw how great that worked out. At least if we could kill the healthcare bill it'll save trillions of dollars now and in the future.

Ducky,

In 2009, why did Caterpillar close their US production down and partner up with Navistar overseas to build over-the-road big rig truck engines, rather than stick around and try to retool their engines to meet 2010 emissions standards (which they missed by a mere one-tenth of a percent).

American jobs were lost, but Caterpillar and Navistar stock is strong, selling trucks everywhere but America. You're doing well if you got in on it in 2009.

Shrinking government in all it's forms IS America's "best" jobs program. Government's are parasites on the private sector and real jobs.

I'm sure nobody's jobs will be hurt when the factories to build the planned electric Obamamobiles can't even meet American emissions standards.

We'll just find these electric cars buried somewhere with our shovels.

Uh Duck, Why do you think Obummer is giving all the breaks to corporations and unions if it ain't a "job busting, job killing NOCARE bill?

Reckon you forgot about all that now didn't you?

Get you head out of your azzz for once Duck and see the light of day. Even Obummer and the Demonkkkrats know it's a killer but then that's the purpose of the whole thing, not health care but CONTROL!

The truths seems obvious to "us," but what "we" see as truth, "they" see as falsehood -- and vice versa. So two sides are always at an impasse.

Do you ever wonder if maybe "no one" knows the truth?

Only Almighty God has the answer to that. But then so few would agree as to who and what He might be.

Only He knows.

Maybe it's just our job to be humble, and let God sort out the rest.

The Cat Vocational Truck Era Begins

In 2011, Caterpillar will unveil our highly anticipated on-highway vocational truck. Before Caterpillar engineers started designing it, we asked vocational truck customers what they want and need from their trucks. We are focused squarely on making this customer input a reality and will deliver a full line of vocational trucks that are built for the jobs you do.

The Vocational Trucks start rolling off the line in mid-2011, and these work trucks will handle a wide range of demanding applications. They will move the rock, haul the trash, pump the water, deliver the concrete and transport everything from harvested logs to our heavy equipment.

For a brief glimpse of the Cat CT660 and the chance to win a trip to the unveil event at CONEXPO in Las Vegas, visit www.DriveCat.com.
On-Highway Engine Support Continues

Caterpillar remains committed to our existing on-highway engine customers by continuing to provide service and support for all Cat Engines. So you can count on Caterpillar for total product support for the life of your engine.

With nearly 2,000 Certified Dealer locations, we’re never far away when you need us. Our goal is—and will continue to be—to keep you operating in confidence by reducing your downtime and lowering your owning and operating costs.

That's from the CAT website Beamish. Doesn't sound like they're abandoning on-road trucks.

This from DUCKY, who argued with me that the housing problem had little to do with our failing economy.

Ticker, if you've been paying attention (doubtful) you'll notice that the R's are pushing the tea party away (witness telling Michele Bachmann to take a walk).

Part of this involves changing the rhetoric so they'll be yacking about job now. Hence "Obaacare" becomes "the job killing health care bill". No specifics, just rhetoric for the right wing mouth breathers.

Meanwhile Beavis, jobs will be created by consumer demand. Right now high end demand is pretty strong. Until the housing market recovers, low end demand will remain poor and expansion will not be strong enough to do anything but reduce unemployment slowly. It will remain high for a couple years at least.

They didn't abandon selling on road trucks.

They abandoned MAKING on road trucks IN THE UNITED STATES.

Now former CAT production workers in the US can enjoy all the clean air of their empty cupboards.

Standards set by who, Ducky. You mean the standards that have nothing to do with reality? Café standards on automobiles that drive the prices of vehicles up and up? Standards that are needed?

Ducky, I have a hot rod in my garage. It has mega horsepower, mega cubic inches and goes like a bat outta hell and, you know what? It has NO emission devices on it(it’s exempt any how because of it’s age). It hasn’t got a catalytic converter or two YET, it burns cleaner than vehicles that are heavily regulated by the emission standards put in place by Congressmen and women, and Senators that don’t know a sparkplug from a tire iron that listen to the lobbyist that a lot at stake in selling that crap they put on the various vehicles.

Because of the fear of “global warming” that has yet to be based on any hard fact. And, the opinion that somehow all these companies are evil and want to kill the planet……geeeesh.

I guess Ducky doesn't know that as many as 20 Democrats in the Senate (presumably those who are up for reelection in 2012) have joined with McConnell in the repeal efforts.

As to the point of this post, my guess is that Democrats don't understand that Americans are tired of pedestrian politics. Of course, no one observing Democratic strategy for more than five minutes will be surprised. They are a people devoid of any capacity for honest dialogue, and so all that remains is tarus feces.

They all gum up when asked "If Obamacare is such a good thing for America, why has the Obama Administration issued over 700 waivers to exempt his major campaign contributors from mandatory compliance with its provisions? Don't you want them to partake in the system created for everyone else?"

Or when you ask, "The SEIU's 1.8 million members are exempt from Obamacare after giving the 2008 Obama campaign $27 million and assaulting Tea Party protesters at political town hall meetings. Can we pay Obama $15 each and punch a Democrat in the face to become exempt from federal law as well?"

There's a really BIG shovel ready job waiting for every American willing to take it on. It pays no salary but the long term benefits would be tremendous. The work is hard, but well worth doing.
