REPEAL OBAMA CARE

HERE is a site where you will find a petition which will be going to President Obama asking to repeal his health bill.
HERE is another site where you can sign against Obama's plan.
HERE is the petition Huckabee talks about in a TV ad.

Which one do we sign?  Why don't they have ONE PETITION, or do we sign all three?  We need to sign  against this awful health bill and make sure good changes are made slowly, methodically, and carefully to our health care system, the way it should have been done before a 2000 page bill even lawmakers hadn't read was passed.   I wish I knew if all these sites are adding the names together or fighting against each other as, with some petitions, multiple signatures of the same people negates the petition.  Anybody able to help here?

thanks...

Z, I doubt they'll be adding these together. They're separate efforts I think.

I can't imagine any bureaucrat checking all the names. Heck, they had months to read the healthcare bill and still can't tell us what's in it.

Ain't gonna happen.

You might get somewhere trying to repeal pieces but I don't expect the fringe to be satisfied with that so settle for nothing.

This reminds me of the old adage, "Too many cooks spoil the broth."

This approach is too scatter-shot... oh my, is my rhetoric too uncivil?

I think standing behind ONE proposal to repeal Obamacare would be more effective.

Z~ I think all the efforts are good. BHO won't listen to any of them, his nice (finally) display of presidentiality the other night notwithstanding...

So, sign all 3, facebook/twitter all 3, email all 3 to your friends & neighbors. We can only hope that the cumulative efforts will have a watershed effect. But not likely. So, conservatives are going to have to act accordingly, & we're going to have to continue to speak - LOUDLY.

Oh, & I posted some pics today that I'd love for you to come see when you get a minute. Come one, come all; you too, Duck! ;)

These petitions that float around the internet are a waste of time. Congress pays NO attention to them, in fact seldom see them and it's dang sure that Obummer doesn't see them. It would enrage his NPD, but then that might be a good thing to see him explode(screw it , another non PC word but who cares) and loose his cool on national TV. Fat chance since all his appearances are well scripted and stage managed. Two examples, his Coronation and his speech at Tucson.
Write, call or e mail your representative directly, it will get more attention than all these petitions put together.

Ducky, don't look now, but "fringe" is a little weird a moniker for the majority.

Pris, ya, you can knock a whole petition out if names are duplicated; I've heard it's a real bad thing to do. I hope it doesn't apply here.

Cube, I'm totally with you on this. ONE petition..done. ANd powerful (very 'fringe':-) if millions mean 'fringe')

Ticker, they'd sure have paid attention if there was one petition with 100 million names on it! xx

Ducky,

Who exactly are you calling "fringe," Mr. "put Andrew Breitbart in a body bag?"

The fact is the "fringe" is the 5% of the electorate that self-identifies as "far left." You know, that group of imbeciles who divide further into those either wigging out to commit or attempt to commit mass murder, or those that simply believe a crosshair graphic leapt off the internet and killed people.

No, "fringe" is YOU, psycho boy.

Z. I have come to the conclusion that the only thing that Congress listens to is the Ballot Box and then they soon forget even what was said there. I need go no further than the recent half-steps and back steps taken by those recently elected who promised no compromise.
How many people voted in this last election?
I believe you get the point!

If Obamacare -- or whatever you want to all it - my own term for it is THE BIG POWER GRAB -- if we can't mange to rescind it fully, we will automatically become a socialist nation.

Apparently nothing short of a full scale uprising by the 70% of the electorate who vehemently HATE this thing will be able to stop it, because the senate and the White House are still controlled by Marxist Dictocrats.

Frankly, I wouldn't pin too much hope on the newly elected House majority. They will be co-opted and quickly subverted by the very nature of DeeCee.

Remember what happened to Newt Gingrich and The Contract with America?

And WE will once gain let ourselves to be dissolved into impotent factions over abortion, religion, homosexuality and the like -- issues which have no proper place in politics.

My own cousin -- as ardent a conservative as ever drew breath -- is also an ardent Roman Catholic of the pre-Vatican 2 school -- and he refuses even to CONSIDER voting for anyone who doesn't put recission of Roe. v. Wade FIRST i his order of priorities.

With Christian conservatives at war with libertarians and traditional fiscal conservatives over sex and religion "our" side will NEVER prevail against the DemonRats --- whose ONLY objective is to WIN and HOLD --- POWER.

Short of experiencing the miracle of Divine Intervention, I'm afraid our chances of returning the country to more desirable fiscal and social policies are slim to none.

That doesn't mean we shouldn't try.

FT, to say nothing of the fact that I just read there's a high school in Memphis where 90 of the girls are pregnant and unwed. Obviously, this can't be a huge divergence from other schools, and with that kind of morality and that kind of upbringing for their poor babies, how does America recover?
We're spawning generations of children with no hope, with schools too busy disciplining to teach, with no heroes, etc.
I was SO upset to read that stat today...I just can't tell you how sad it makes me because I don't see us getting back on track..I really don't.

by the way, the girls dare each other to see who can conceive first......and even worse than that.
It's so ugly.

Z, I know just how you feel. Its a depressing subculture, because these young lives are completely out of control and apparently have had no firm guidelines to follow or solid, sustaining values inculcated in them either by parents or schools.

I hear sick, firsthand tales of from the rural districts in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, and Delaware about pregnant 11-year-olds running around the corridors of Junior High Schools, and 12 and 13 year old girls who've already had 2 or 3 abortions.

That most of these cases occur in the black community doesn't make it any less alarming. Things have never been ideal for blacks anywhere -- sub-Saharan Africa never has been a paragon of societal perfection, and living in bondage in the West wasn't too hot either -- but things really were better for blacks BEFORE Johnson's Great Society and even before the Warren Court's monumental decision on Brown v. The Board of Education in 1954, BECAUSE the black FAMILY was much stronger BEFORE the advent of The Welfare State than it has been since.

I think Madelyn Murray O'Hair single-handedly put the coup de grace on his society wit her successful bid to get prayer (and bible reading) out of the schools. We've gone almost straight downhill ever since.

NEVERTHELESS, we must trust God, and continue to hope -- as we work toward the goal -- that things will right themselves eventually. To give up hope is to give up in God. I know you don't want to do that, and neither do I.

Z, I know I'm very P.I., but I'm not in the least surprised at the school in Memphis. It's just a continuation of the Welfare Profession for another generation.

A doctor told me some years ago that his youngest 'mother' was a 12-year old. She got pregnant when 11.

The problem with leftist thinking is that it's ALL fringe and no drapery -- all fringe and no sofa -- all fringe and no dress.

Leftists want to think the main body of society is the "fringe," and vice versa.

"Liberalism is a mental disorder."

Thank you, Michael Savage.

I doubt if Savage is sincere. He's another one of myriad media manipulators who love to toy with our heads and make MONEY in the process. HOWEVER, he says a lot of things that need saying, whether he means them or not. For that I thank him.

Beamish, you would easily qualify as fringe.

How so? I've never voted for a Democrat and wouldn't even at gunpoint.

(((Thought Criminal))) said...

AND... I've never called any radio show to demand Andrew Brietbart be put to death by the current left-wing government, as you have Ducky.

How am I fringe?

(((Thought Criminal))) said...

Let's see if I'm really fringe.

Quick show of hands. Who else thinks Ducky is a blithering idiot and potential mass murderer harboring violent tendencies and empathy issues fueled by a deranged left-wing ideology?

Z said...

you're not fringe until you say stuff like that, Beamish :-)
Ducky IS a self-avowed Socialist who did say he thought Breitbart should be in a body-bag, that's true...but I think he's just given to irrational, uninformed hyperbole.

(((Thought Criminal))) said...

...but I think he's just given to irrational, uninformed hyperbole

As if there were a such thing as a leftist that is not given to irrational, uninformed hyperbole?

No, dangerous, violent rhetoric is too common, too ubiquitous among the "eternal revolution" leftist crowd to dismiss as merely another sign of their undoubtable lack of connection to reality.

We dismiss the ravings of these madmen at our own peril. Just because someone like Ducky is insatiably addicted to eating lead paint chips is no reason to overlook or excuse the violent urges stirring within him and all leftists.
