"Fast and Furious" hiding of the truth?

I'm wondering if you're all following THIS.  The media sure isn't........just imagine if this had been Bush and his Department of Justice!!    OH, my gosh;  8" headlines and 24/7 CNN coverage.  Here's a bit from the link:

Where is the national media on this? During the Watergate scandal, the nation came to a screeching halt while the media expended unlimited resources exposing the debacle – no detail was too small to be exposed.
With “Fast and Furious”? Crickets. Sure, they’ll mention new details when leaked to them, or notable testimony from a House hearing. But unlike Watergate, the national media will not put dedicated reporters on the trail to dig up the whole story. Even when the Attorney General is caught in a lie – under oath. Even White House is now proven to have been in the loop all along – despite their denials.
And no one was killed from Watergate.
Hey media: do your damn job. If not for us, then do it for him…

Do you think the truth will come out, or will the media cover it so well that nothing is revealed?

Hard to say there has been no coverage of this fiasco. It was a dumb operation.

Of course compared to the President running a criminal conspiracy from the White House ... I just think that's a little more important story.

I think that someone died is far more important.

Lawlessness...not the rule of Law is what is running America now.

Our Politicians are just saying....we'll allow them to just shoot you now.

Not fighting back....no protection from the savages, both illegal and resident.

No protection or enforcement of the borders.

And more often that not....no protection from the flash savages, thugs, scum, criminals that happen to be....perish the thought....BLACK, racist, moronic, 3rd generation, illiterate POS that we must tolerate.

"Black Muslims are more likely to support violence than foreign-born Muslims"

"California is out of money but wants to dish it out to illegals"

"“Large metropolitan areas will be the laboratories for change."

"Why were blacks the majority in the British riots?...and America's exclusively?"

Muslim women were repeatedly warned of park’s policy on headgear."

America today....just a snippet.

Z - It's Saturday Night - time to Live it up.

But here I am Home Alone.

So what better time to go offtopic.

Last year I asked my 10 year old granddaughter how school was.

Without missing a beat she replied:

'fun, fast and furious'

And, well, that came to mind when I saw the title of your post.

IMP - 'The Abraham Lincoln Quote'

Your point being...?

Z said...

Imp; why would you post that quote? I hope Lincoln was finally ashamed of himself. And, it seems he must have been as, no matter what some people say, he did want the end of slavery.

'I am naturally anti-slavery.

If slavery is not wrong, nothing is wrong.

I can not remember when I did not so think, and feel.'

Sue, thanks. Good to have a presidential scholar of sorts on the blog!

sue said...

Z - You are welcome.

Actually, I googled that one.

If things are slow later I'll do another one.

For Impertinent, or as I not-so- fondly think of you: Hit and Run.

This is not about a Lincoln-Douglas Debate, but just something about Douglas, told as only Abraham Lincoln can, in his beloved homespun style.

'On one occasion some of Lincoln's friends were talking of the diminutive stature of Stephen A. Douglas, and an argument as to the proper length of a man's legs. During the discussion Lincoln came in, and it was agreed that the question should be referred to him for decision.

"Well," said he, reflectively, "I should think a man's legs ought to be long enough to reach from his body to the ground." '

Z - Thanks for allowing me to pass a slow Saturday evening on your blog - while waiting for SNL to begin.

I think that the truth will come out, but not before the November 2012 election.

This media is so obviously in the bag that it isn't even amusing. We no longer have a free press in this country.

sue said...

Remember -

Truth will out.

(Although these three words have spoken many times and are probably overworked, they originate from Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice.)

Brooke - We do still have the
Detroit Free Press. :=)

AOW "I think that the truth will come out, but not before the November 2012 election."

It'll be too late then, and then we'll be stuck for another four years of the destruction of our country.

I think O's right; we should blame Republicans; except we should blame them for not REALLY speaking out at the media's ignoring of things like this...and they are, virtually.

Darryl Issa's holding hearings on this, and Senator Grassley is also involved in investigating F & F, so I wouldn't say that the Republicans are uninvolved in exposing this scandal.

Furthermore, it's my understanding CBS did a report on it.

Obviously the media isn't having a feeding frenzy over this as they have of lesser events.

We can only hope it becomes so unavoidable to report on a cover up of the higher up players, they'll have to.

I'm not holding my breath though.

MathewK said...

The media will only cover it when everyone else is openly talking about and to not cover it would make them look stupid and biased, not just biased.

Expect this sort of cover up to kick into high gear as the election draws closer. They desperately want obama to win another term

Z said...

Pris, Peter King's had lots of hearings, too, on other things; VERY VERY little, if anything, is ever reported from findings.
Sure, they have hearings, then it's gone. I find that horrid.

"Darryl Issa's holding hearings on this"

Showboating to be sure. They can't help it...they must get face time. I'll believe he and King were effective when I see them putting nooses around Holder and his ATF thugs. As well as a few "imans" in jail for life.

"Imp; why would you post that quote? "

Like I said...Abe said it not me. And besides I hardly believe we can begin to understand 18th or 19th Century minds and politics....with 20th & 21st century thought.

Z said...

Imp....I get the thing about Abe, thanks.

As for King and Issa, I don't think they're grandstanding for themselves; What we all have to realize is that if the media was HONEST All of America would be hearing about these hearings...the media's NOT, so people don't KNOW what happened. We're not hearing..imagine, in AMERICA?
