Good morning, Z! In a well balanced marriage, Ephesians 5 is not only present, but as natural as breathing...

[25] Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
[26] That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
[27] That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
[28] So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
[29] For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
[30] For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
[31] For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
[32] This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
[33] Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

It is good to be cherished!
GOD bless and MARANATHA!

TMW, some day I'll tell why I did this specifically for the wives. I had a miracle Thursday and won't be talking about it for a long time yet....this was very personal and deliberate. And yes, it is definitely good to feel cherished and it consoles through the grief even while it makes the grief even more poignant.

Opus, right..
Brooke, I do, and I'm glad you do.

Sue, I so appreciate your coming by and helping with comments like this. I believe it's ONLY God getting me through with a kind of strength I never knew I had.

Grief is VERY individual, there IS no 'way to feel' that's 'best'...so I'll never be talking about it here.

All my best to you in these troubled days.

Z, this post is so important and so personal for each and every one of us. I must say as I look back over the years, I marvel at the sacrifices Mr. Pris has made for the benefit of our family, and myself.

To cherish him is easy, and to let him know I do, is essential.

And Z, when it comes to looking back, and memories, it is so good to have no regrets, and I know surely, that is so for you as well.

My dearest Z..I do believe in miracles! :)

You are always in my prayers, because I know how very much you need all the strength you can get, and I know that He is the One Who can sustain you--and does.

My husband and I cherish each other, and as with you and Mr. Z, many are surprised when they find out how long we've been married.

When two are united in faith, it is just as The Merry Widow says--'not only present, but natural as breathing.'

Thank you for all the inspiration, Z.

The time to live is always now.

The time to love is always now.

The time to make sacrifices for those we love is always now.

The time to wonder never ceases.

If we have done our best –– even though it fall far short of perfection, as surely it must –– we have no cause for regret or need for guilt and repentance.

"Weeping may endure for the night, but joy cometh in the morning."

To have had a happy and successful union is probably the greatest blessing one can experience in this life. To love and be loved in return is the best we could hope for.

Once we have experienced true devotion we can never be separated from our loved ones -- not even by death. We continue together in Spirit forever –– or at least as long as consciousness lasts.

"May the peace of God which passeth all understanding fill our hearts and minds through Jesus Christ, Our Lord."

Z,
God gave us each other for our happiness. Remember the good things and the blessings of your marriage. That sounds shallow, but it will be the best memories soon.

it's a mutual submission...putting the other above self...

My wife is a like a word picture of God's grace to me. I don't deserve her but He gave her to me.
