Rate this piece on a scale of 1 to 10....1, you think he's dead wrong........

"The current Occupy Wall Street movement is the best illustration to date of what President Barack Obama's America looks like. It is an America where the lawless, unaccomplished, ignorant and incompetent rule. It is an America where those who have sacrificed nothing pillage and destroy the lives of those who have sacrificed greatly.
"It is an America where history is rewritten to honor dictators, murderers and thieves. It is an America where violence, racism, hatred, class warfare and murder are all promoted as acceptable means of overturning the American civil society.
"It is an America where humans have been degraded to the level of animals: defecating in public, having sex in public, devoid of basic hygiene. It is an America where the basic tenets of a civil society, including faith, family, a free press and individual rights, have been rejected. It is an America where our founding documents have been shredded and, with them, every person's guaranteed liberties.
"It is an America where, ultimately, great suffering will come to the American people, but the rulers like Obama, Michelle Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Joe Biden, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, liberal college professors, union bosses and other loyal liberal/Communist Party members will live in opulent splendor.
"It is the America that Obama and the Democratic Party have created with the willing assistance of the American media, Hollywood , unions, universities, the Communist Party of America, the Black Panthers and numerous anti-American foreign entities.
"Barack Obama has brought more destruction upon this country in four years than any other event in the history of our nation, but it is just the beginning of what he and his comrades are capable of.
"The Occupy Wall Street movement is just another step in their plan for the annihilation of America .
"Socialism, in general, has a record of failure so blatant that only an intellectual could ignore or evade it.""
Thomas Sowell

Pretty amazing rhetoric here.......pretty damning.   So, what do you think?  "1" for his absolutely wrong stance, or "10" for "this is so right"...or somewhere in between?

BY the way, the great Etta James has died.......I hope she's in the arms of her Maker singing "At Last......."  Honestly, her recording of that song might in my top 50 favorite songs.   God's probably groovin', too.   Rest easy, Ms James.

I give it a 20. All we have to do is look to Latin America or even to Kenya when Odinga, his cousin, that Obama campaigned for had his supporters go and kill people and burn villages when he lost that election. Yep Obama has been surrounded by radicals his entire life and the stupid lefties just ignore the steps he is following. He so needs to get out in 2012 otherwise he is going all out for what he wants and his deaf, dumb blind supporters are going to be the first to say "huh?"
He doesn't have me fooled with his phony charm and his Al Green impersonation.

That story about Odinga should be huge in our Media,HUUUGE!!! But they are too busy attacking Republicans and protecting this phony. radicals in the left wing yet the media convinces people that it's the republicnas because they are too stupid to look into it themselves and that is just what Obama needs...stupidity.

Here's a linkto that story

Z said...

Lisa, Al Green's one of my VERY faves....be kind :-)

THank you for the link....the Odinga story would have been 6" letters for headlines had it been a Republican, but then, so would the media have smeared any Republican pres if he had an illegal aunt on the dole and an alcoholic uncle who's homeless, which Obama does. How tragic!

Z said...

by the way, Lisa...wait for the denials about your link from my liberal commenters......or they simply won't comment on the post at all having seen your comment...pretending they didn't see this whole post.

I know only their "media matter" links are real facts, lol!!!!

yes, of COURSE, Lisa..and ANYTHING FOX says is 'rightwing rubbish'...NEVER MIND that they ALWAYS have more liberals on arguing their points than CNN does at ANY time.

But, the public reads your damned words, and they vote. Well done, Yahoo....you getting paid by the DNC for this stuff?

Lisa, I just heard tape of Obama's singing a little of Al Green, (I hadn't known what your reference was but now I see it was to a crowd in Harlem where Al Green apparently was....odd the Rev Al Green would stand by a guy who's so pro abortion that he'd vote four times in Illinois not to revive the babies of botched abortion attempts, huh?).
I have to admit Obama can't dance worth beans but he didn't sing too badly! :-)

How African of them.

BTW...I fail to see the difference between illegal and legal immigration when it comes to admitting more of the uneducated, poverty stricken ignorant baby factories from central & south america....oh...and Mexico.

We're in for a fundamental tragic change in America. One has to look no further than to the south....

"Diversity" my ass.

He's gets a 10 just for this

Barack Obama has brought more destruction upon this country in four years than any other event in the history of our nation, but it is just the beginning of what he and his comrades are capable of.

We need to worry about him getting another four years. He will not have to face the voters again so it will be anything goes. I used to think 'that's okay, we retake the Senate, keep the House, it will stop him'. He has made it clear he is comfortable to go it alone. Re-elect him and you will not recognize the country in four years.

Debt ceiling explained for us "ignorant" masses outside the corrupt beltway....:

:Democrats and Republicans don't understand THE DEBT CEILING.

Liberals and Conservatives don't understand THE DEBT CEILING.

Allow me to explain...

Let's say, you come home from work and find there has been a sewer backup in your neighborhood... and your home has sewage all the way up to your ceilings.

What do you think you should do? Raise the ceilings or pump out the shit?

Your choice is coming next November.

Don't miss the opportunity"

Duck is like a living version of Wikipedia about Liberalism. IN this chapter he proves it is impossible for liberals to embarrass themselves.

This contributes heavily to their long time stunted educational process. Without the pain of embarrassment, there is no motivation to improve.

I'm being serious.

10. Simple.

BTW, the Yolo County DA just kicked the UCD PD to the curb by refusing to file charges on OWS protesters, where the Davis PD lieutenant bestowed some loving orange OC upon the OWS crowd.

If I were a police supervisor (and I am) called to an OWS event, I'd tell my troops to stand down. It isn't worth the fight if you won't even be supported by your local DA. It's going to be nothing but heartache, skewed media coverage and no support.

And after that decision? Oh how the CIVIL suits will run!

The houses, marriages and well-being of MY troops aren't worth that.

Good luck with OWS. You're gonna need it.

This doesn't sound like Sowell's style. In fact, so confident am I that Sowell didn't write this, that I will wager five of my own cents against anyone who cares to make the bet.

Sowell is so right!

I give it, at least, 20!

Here's the quote of the century

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America 's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America 's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."
~ Senator Barack H. Obama, March 2006!

We certainly do deserve better!

Personally, I like the piercing, fact-filled rebuttle given by Ducky: "Sowell is a clown."

What a mind! The eloquence with which he writes reminds me of Phineus T. Bluster.

Z said...

Thanks, bftm...
Did you SNope it? I just did and only the last quote is Sowell's...
Apparently, because his quote on socialism is at the end, several have thought the whole thing was written by him.
The Snopes piece says it's written by someone else. Had I been sent the whole text (showing that Sowell supposedly sent this to a Ft Knox paper, etc.,) I'd never have thought it was real...I was sent only what I posted.

Frankly, it seemed over the top for Sowell to me, too.

This only negates Sowell's complicity; I think it's still important for us all to read, whoever wrote it.

thanks

Big Fat Tio Mike said...

I think I've read more Sowell than I have any other author so I've got a pretty good feel for his style. He probably wouldn't write something that long without using the word "rhetoric."

Kid: You said, "Without the pain of embarrassment, there is no motivation to improve."

I have never thought of the learning process in those terms, but I do agree. There are two sides to the learning equation, the carrot and the stick type of thing. I mostly think of the carrot, but in my youth it was the stick I thought about most.

Off topic, but it got my attention.

Bob said...

Z: I appreciate the article, and agree with the people commenting on the blog. Give it a ten.

I also agree with what Imp said, "There's only one way out of this filthy socialist mess....one way folks."

I am not sure exactly what he meant, but we all know what the analysis is of Obama's administration. The real discussion should be about how we get out of this mess.

The answer is short and sweet. Vote the Dems out of office. Failing that, I shudder to think of alternatives.

Most of us made projections years ago about where Obama's mentality would lead us. Now that we are proven correct, the nation absolutely cannot afford any more of the nonsense the Democrats have forced down our throats.

Ducky: "Mama Etta singing "I'd Rather Go Blind" -- 9"

Kid said...

Bob, thanks. I don't know it's that off topic. By estention, we can also say, without the pain of embarrassment, many don't have the motivation to educate themselves either and so they continue to be a part of the problem instead of the solution.

Being part of the problem is a double negative, meaning that not only are you not contributing you are sucking on those who are. 2X problem.

For additional clarity, I don't see obama as the problem. The problem are all the people (I'll be nice) who saw nothing wrong with putting someone in charge of the USA, let alone the free world who never even worked at McDonalds.

Z said...

Bob and Kid..I think the fact that our kids can't be embarrassed anymore is huge problem for our society. We don't let them feel any shame EVER; we have awards banquets in high school now and only the winners can attend so the losers don't feel badly. We have baseball games with no scores so kids don't feel they lost.
I hate anybody having to suffer embarrassment as much as the next person but it's a real problem when it's come to this.
It makes you do better when you don't want to be embarrassed, don't you think?
As a teacher, I'd really rather die than embarrass somebody, but I can cajole and tease a high schooler about having done badly and they understanding they screwed up, have learned how not to do that again, and then usually add "You are my FAVORITE substitute teacher EVER" at the same time. There's a way of doing things. Kids want to be corrected and encouraged. (end of sermon...it's a topic I find extremely important because, in some ways, it's killing our country of of once tough, competitive children who did WELL..)

KP...As I say in the post "you rate it"...but I think it's important to at least grasp here we've got a real problem here and why and, hubristic as it might be, the exaggeration makes an important impact.

Etta James ROCKED. "I'd Rather Go Blind" is definitely sweet....but that classic AT LAST haunts my soul :-)
I remember a friend asked me to sing it at her wedding and I did....outside wedding at the Marina Del Rey...planes going by, fire engines.....an no mic :-) Man, did I have to sing LOUDLY!
I sang something at a HOllywood Hills wedding OUTSIDE, and there was a fire nearby and the fire engines raced by while and after I sang...that was hilarious. (everybody's a critic! :-) Again, no mic!

Kid..you're so right "The problem are all the people (I'll be nice) who saw nothing wrong with putting someone in charge of the USA, let alone the free world who never even worked at McDonalds."

And who had the past he did, and no obvious signs that he'd changed at all. And all the questions he wasn't asked, like "why'd you lie that you hardly knew Bill Ayers?"
unbelievable.

KP, I've got a lot of those stories... Some took place while living in Paris. I had one singer almost fight the bartender at a very swanky club where I sang one song in her set because he mentioned at the bar (where our friends were) that I sang better than she did!
My friend Rhoda said they almost came to blows . I suspect he had it in for the regular singer and decided to tick her off that way, but it was fun!

thanks for asking, KP....please read the post below the video; imagine posting a recording done with a cell phone? with people in the congregation rustling, etc..? But, that's all I"ve got.
I have some CD work with other singers but don't know how to get it from that to here.

I"m hoping to go in and get WHEN LOVE WAS BORN recorded.....soon, maybe. I'll let you know.

I sing mostly jazz standards and have sung MARY DID YOU KNOW with more of a jazz slant in public, too..but had to do this fairly straight, though I kind of got a little freer with it at the end of this performance.

I hope you enjoy it.

It's gutsy to post such a poor recording but it's all I've got that I know how to get 'from there to here'...I'm not the best blogging techie!

Terrific that your wife plays in bands! I play classical and rarely like to accompany myself but did on this thing......
it's a wonderful hobby, for sure. I've had fabulous experiences singing with other girls, lots of jazz, and singing alone; producing shows, etc.
I'm glad you liked it.

As MUCH as he hates Obama, he wouldn't go nuts like this unless he had GONE nuts.
